3. Double Team is one of those films that had more bashing than there are actual viewers of the film.
   The film, starring actionstar Jean-Claude van Damme and basketbal pro Dennis Rodman, is directed by Hong Kong FilmLegend Tsui Hark. Even though the film has had so many negative words, it is stil a pretty fun ride to experience. I myself also had mixed feelings when seeying it for the first time, but that changed with a second viewing.
   
   The first things that comes to mind when watching the film is that it stars two men who aren't known for topnotch acting. Van Damme is good on action but is most of the time considered average with his acting skills. In Double Team this is no difference: his acting is ok but not great. But when it comes to action, he is on the right spot.
   Then there is Dennis Rodman, a probasketball player next to Van Damme. Now he is clearly not a born actor and this shows. Still, his attitide and one-liners are enjoyable and him teaming up with Van Damme is all part of the fun. Seeying them annoy each other and both (Yes, also Rodman) kicking around bad guys is, admit it, an ok way to kill some time. Rodman also plays around with his reallife basketball image, all good fun.
   
   Then we have the story: Easy and pretty Cheesy.
   But hey, there are hunderds of films with this kind of plot. But even though it is cliche sometimes, who cares, it works and entertains fine doesn't it? The same is with this film: just put your mind and zero and simply enjoy.
   
   Tsui Hark is known for his actionpacked Hong Kong films and shows his talent with this American film. The way the action is filmed and edited is sometimes true Hong Kong action cinema style. The action is therefor well shot and on a good level. Some good fighting, big explosions and running around.
   
   So, don't think to hard when watching this film, sit back and just let it entertain you. Cause even though the characters haven't got that much backround written for them, the story isn't difficult or highly original, it still has some fun aspects that actionfans can enjoy.



4. A group of drunken, coke-obsessed urangutangs would have made a better cast then these phelonious hams. My unborn child has felt the pain that this movie inflicted on humanity as a whole. I would rather see my family brutally tortured then hit by 2 oncoming trains simulataneously whilst being molested by Moroccan circus freaks then watch this film. Special not to the creators: I hope you lose your eye-sight in a freak mountain climbing accident involving a billy-goat and a snail...you would think this is the end of the review...but oh no...we've only just begun. You will pay dearly for this crime against humanity. You and only you are to blame for all that is wrong and evil in this world. I wanted to beat Jean Claud Van Damme with a stale baguette and throw Dennis Rodman's limp,lifeless body against a wall then through a flaming basketball hoop when I saw this movie. The meteor in Armageddon made me feel better then watching these two proverbial "actors" walk aimlessly through this maniacal tyrade of a film...OK...I'm done.



5. Why? Van Damme has soooooo many good movies and this is the third one they decide to put in HD? Uhh..Universal Soldier, Cyborg, Death Warrant, Kickboxer, Hard Target, The Quest, Double Impact, In Hell, Wake of Death and of course BLOODSPORT! Come on now! I mean, sure, I'll buy this one only because I have every one of his movies on DVD and hope they release them all again in HD, but damn. I was really hoping for a better release :(

   It all began in the jungles of Vietnam. Two dead soldiers were rescued from death in a secret governmental program. Unfortunately some memories still linger. This movie pits Jean-Claude Van Dame against Dolph Lundgren. Who do you think will win?

2. Looking at it now, the film was pretty corny but it still is a scary thought! Not to get political but don't think someone in Washington, DC hasn't thought about doing what they did in this film!
   
   Back to the movie, it stars Jean Claude Van Damne and Dolph Lungren. For me, Dolph made this movie more than Van Damne! I actually found his character funny as well as sinister. Van Damne's character was definitely a straight shooter here.
   
   Overall, it has good action, a few cheesy moments but also a few memorable catch phrases (some of which I can't repeat here). It isn't the best movie for either action actor but its okay overall.



3. I said it then and I say it now, boys just want to have fun. Okay since when are guys not allowed to enjoy macho soldier movies? And ladies keep in mind when our toys are taken away yours will follow shortly thereafter. Sure this movie may not have any great acting, but actually the directing, costumes, sets, effects, and music aren't bad. Van Damme and Lundgren play soldiers that died in Viet Nam while fighting each other over killing a prisoner. The next thing you know it is thirty years later and they wake up in a special refrigeration truck with the latest in war toys and they are part of special unit designed to go in and perform miraculous fetes of physical endurance and prowess. You know, run down dams and things so they can rescue hostages. Probably why most guys enjoy this still. This is actually probably at the top of the heap of movies made by Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. Although I must admit I love "Timecop" and "I Come in Peace". I actually cracked up when they commented on Van Damme's accent in the movie and asked if he was French. So it goes to show they even had a sense of humor. If you like action packed without alot of redeeming societal morality and political correctness then welcome to fun time with macho men fighting, shooting lots of bullets, and blowing things up. Great quality DVD with some special extras, decent replayability.



4. My husband loves this movie so for his birthday I got it for him. The DVD arrived quickly and was in great condition!



5. The Jean Claude Van Damme Review Matrix (JCVD-RM)
   
   1. Who is he? Luc Deveraux, former US soldier in Vietnam who, when killed by friendly fire, becomes part of a military medical equivalent to Frankenstein, the Universal Soldier (UniSol).
   2. Which family member/friend must be avenged? As a humanitarian soldier, Deveraux considered friendly Vietnamese his friends. It's just too bad his Sergeant didn't.
   3. Does he take his shirt off? It's probably because he's dead, but JCVD is shirtless in a faux cryogenic, stasis in bubbling water scenes stolen straight from comic books, as well as whenever the UniSols are back in the mobile lab or in a vat of ice. I'm sure the ice thing was written in specifically so he could take his shirt off.
   4. Does he have sex with a C-List actress? Thankfully he didn't...otherwise this movie would have involved necrophilia.
   5. Is there a tournament? There is no sanctioned tournament, just UniSols going about their mission.
   6. Is training needed for this tournament? Quoting the awesomeness of Stripes, "Aaaaarmy training, sir!" (Which is odd considering both movies are about ridiculous military situations)
   7. Does he do the splits in training or in the tournament? Even though it's not explicitly part of the plot, he nonetheless manages to form an upside-down "T" during a fight scene.
   8. Does he punch someone in the balls? Although it's slightly off camera, it appears JCVD delivers three solid punches to the jewels of Sergeant Scott (Lundgren). Given JCVD's propensity for nut-shots, it's safe to assume knuckle met scrotum.
   9. Does he do a series of flying or 360 kicks? Not only does he fulfill his normal helping of spin kicks, but he adds a few new versions into the mix.
   10. Is his enemy unbeatable? It sure seems that his enemy is unbeatable. In the final battle, Deveraux kicks Scott in the face five times in a row, and the only thing Scott does is laugh.
   11. Does he overcome an injury or other hindrance? Well, technically he's dead, and there's some sort of combination of UniSol injection and ice water bath requirement for keeping a soldier recharged, but otherwise he's good to go.
   12. Does he win? With the help of a wood chipper - and a final line of, "You're discharged, Sarge" - Deveraux literally tears Scott apart.
   
   With some great wire work in some fight scenes, and tons of head shot gun play, the action is top notch for this JCVD iteration. The plot is interesting enough to have spawned more than one sequel. And Dolph Lundren makes a solid appearance in the meeting B-action superstars. What's great is that both main characters are supposed to be resurrected cyborgs, and each of their respective robotic acting ability just happens to be perfect for the role. Nothing new here; just JCVD being awesome yet again.

2. This movie is so bad it's good. Well, it's a mix of good and bad, but I couldn't take it too seriously, and it just made me laugh. I saw it in the theatre when it came out..and I was cracking up the whole time.... The slow-mo actions sequences are great, and Wilford Brimley playing a Cajun guy is the icing on the cake. Gotta love it.



3. This is a very good action movie, however, I don't like the plot (killing the homeless as a game for the rich). I would recommend this for Van Damme fans as well as those that like good action flicks.



4. HARD TARGET
   
   This is absolutely one of my favorite Van Damme films of all time; I mean come on look at the line up. Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lance Henriksen, Sam Raimi, John Woo, Ted Raimi, and Rob Tapert how could you not like this movie. This movie is a great thrill ride filled with all the action you could want, and great villains, Arnold Vosloo in particular as Van Clef. This has got to be one of Van Damme's best movies he has been apart of.
   
   The story is basically just about some rich guys hunting bums through out the concrete jungle. It turns out that one of the people they hunted had a daughter that is trying to find him, naturally questions arise and that doesn't sit well with them. This is were Van Damme comes in and is hired by the woman to help find her father, what they find is a group of people in a very bad business. From here fights break out, gunshots are heard, and explosions can be seen for miles, what a great movie.
   
   Performance wise this is a great movie as well, Van Damme is excellent in this film and never really gets the credit he deserves as an actor. Of course Yancy Butler as our lead actress is good as well and is very believable in her role. Villain wise is were this film really shines; this movie has two of the best villains ever for a film. First is the brilliant Lance Henriksen playing the lead villain, and as usual he is great and really determined to get what he wants. Which is also the reason why Arnold Vosloo is so extremely good as Van Clef, he is just as cold, vindictive, and evil as Lance but he is the calmer of the two who knows when to walk away. It is the difference between the two that make them such a great on screen team. Also on a side note the ever great Ted Raimi makes a guest appearance on this film, great to see him.
   
   Of course on the production side this film is lined up with all time greats, Raimi, Tapert, and Woo. Of course Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert come through as Executive Producers and hired on the legendary John Woo as the director. Naturally John Woo's style shines through on this film and make it an explosive action packed thrill ride. Of course a lot of credit needs to go to writer Chuck Pfarrer who wrote a great action film that delivers. He did an excellent job with an idea that has been done many times through books and films alike.
   
   Over all this is a great movie for a day off from work, grab the drinks and kick back.



5. Hard Target is clealry of the best movies Van Damme ever made. Van Damme movies where he picked up a gun were never that good but here with the cinematography and stylish vison of John Woo, Van Damme gives a good performance still has a chance for a few karate scenes and makes one of the best action movies of the nineties. Lance Henikrsen( whose always good) and Arnold Vosloo make great bad guys. Yancy Butler is sexy as hell (even though a T&A scene would have been good.) If you 've never seen this film check it out it's one of Van Damme best and Woo's first Amercian film.

VAN DAMME LOOKS SO TERRIBLE IN THAT BEARD, I HOPE HE NEVER DOES A MOVIE WITH HIS BEARD LIKE THAT AGAIN. THE MOVIE IS STUPID, THE PLOT IS SO LAME, AND THE ACTION IS SO BORING. I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW A DIE- HARD FAN OF VAN DAMME COULD LIKE THIS! THIS IS A MOVIE THAT DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE TO BE IN STORES. THIS DEFINITELY AIN'T WORTH ONE CENT OF ITS PRICE. IF YOU ARE A VAN DAMME FAN, DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS MOVIE. A WALK IN THE WOODS IS MORE EXCITING THAN THIS. 2. This is a typical Van Damme action film which means you have to park your brain in Nuetral to watch it. Jean Claude plays an ex soldier who is tormented by his dreams and is contemplating suicide in the desert. Then his motorcycle gets stolen and this gives him the perfect opportunity to kick some butt.This movie is redeemed soley by the presence of Gabrielle Fitzpatrick who is a truly beautiful Australian actress. This actress is absolutely GORGEOUS and I hope to see her in many more movies to come!!!



3. I never stop being amused by some audience demands for great (o'k, good) acting from Van Damme. It sounds like entering BurgerKing and asking for a rack of lamb (and being dissapointed that they do not serve it). For me this movie is attractive enough not so much because of VD character and action (though he is surprisingly funny too) but mostly for the surrounding hilarious characters. Just the elderly Japanese gentleman who gleefully giggles packing yet another body (provided by VD's hero) into cellophane and dumping it into a ravine, would have been enough to enjoy the movie but there are others as well, equally hilarious. I believe it would be the best to approach that movie not as a serious action flick, but rather as a black trash comedy - that everything falls into its proper place.



4. I've never been a big Van Damme fan but I have to admit this movie is fun. It's another retelling of Kurasawa's classic Yojimbo much like A Fist Full of Dollars (Clint Eastwood) and Last Man Standing (Bruce Willis), this however, is like the trailer park version. It's a little less classy and has nowhere near the same caliber acting. What it does have is Mr. Miyagi, Danny Trejo and a couple other surprise faces. Van Damme even comes across with a hint of self-depreciating humor (probably unintentional) that sets this flick apart from the rest of his stuff. Nobody takes Van Damme seriously, he should make more movies like this with ensemble cast and maybe his career would turn around.



5. Surprised bought this movie by mistake. Was really good. Im looking for a van damn movie with the same bearded big guy that was with him in blood sport. I remeber girls in bikini's in a empty swimming pull but cant remeber the name of the movie.

1. This has always been a favorite movie of mine. I was disappointed that I had picked a movie that was the wrong region. I put it in one DVD and it came up wrong region. Then I put it in another DVD player and beauty away it went. The picture quality was exellent. Like I said before one of my favourite Van Damme movies and there where no hic ups with the recording.

2. Excellent martial arts movies a bit corney but my girlfriend loved van damme body. guess i got my work cut out for me.



3. On the heels of Bloodsport and the weird sci-fi flick Cyborg came Kickboxer. Here, Jean Claude Van Damne plays Kurt Sloane, the manager and younger brother of kickboxing champion Eric Sloane (played by real-life fighter Dennis Alexio).
   
   While fighting a Thai fighter named Tong Po, Eric gets injured and Kurt vows revenge on him. To this end, he meets a former fighter named Xian Chow and falls in love with his niece Miley.
   
   While much of the film is corny/cheesy but there are some funny parts too. The most funny (to me) is when Xian gets Kurt (Van Damne) drunk in a bar, has him dance (which is one of the funniest things that I have ever seen) and then fight some guys in that bar! Its priceless!
   
   Also, some of the training made me cringe, especially when he made him kick the tree with his injured shin! My friends thought when he did get the tree down and fell to the ground, that was the funniest thing! Even I chuckled a bit because basically he was trying to show Xian he wasn't weak! That's what "machismo" will get you!
   
   Overall, not a bad film!

   1.Who is he? Kurt Sloane, hapless corner man for his brother Eric Sloan, hapless kickboxer
   2.Which family member/friend must be avenged? His brother gets pummeled into a paraplegic, and his new girlfriend gets raped...both by the same guy
   3.Does he take his shirt off? He's topless throughout nearly the entire movie.
   4.Does he have sex with a C-List actress? I'm not even sure if she's C-List, and I'm not totally sure JCVD got past first-base
   5.Is there a tournament? Yes, but JCVD makes it straight into the championship match.
   6.Is training needed for this tournament? Training constitutes the majority of this movie. He kicks a defenseless bamboo tree to somehow strengthen (and not fracture) his leg, and does calisthenics with a backdrop of historic ruins, screaming eagles, and warrior spirits. The majority of the training, however, well...
   7.Does he do the splits in training or in the tournament? Not only does he do the splits, but he's involved in some sort of sadomasochistic, palm tree pulley system of groin torture that goes beyond actual splits. Such an important concept to this movie, I think "The Splits" is listed as a co-star on the official DVD.
   8.Does he punch someone in the balls? No, but his heel goes Achilles tendon deep into Tong Po's colon - that's enough.
   9.Does he do a series of flying or 360 kicks? Only at every possible opportunity.
   10.Is his enemy unbeatable? Tong Po is not only unbeatable, but his shin bones have been surgically replaced with iron rods.
   11.Does he overcome an injury or other hindrance? Yes, his brother is held hostage by Tong Po's people, and Kurt is told to enter the fight without defending himself. On top of that, he learns mid-fight from Tong Po raped his girl.
   12.Does he win? Through sheer willpower, and the most telegraphed collection of blows in fighting history, he somehow prevails.
   
   This is the funniest of all JCVD movies. The stretching torture, the underwater kicking scene during training, the German Sheppard, the hokey choreography, the pointless jive-talking black guy, the absolutely hysterical lack of defense from Tong Po during the final battle, laughable acting, and a genius dancing scene reminiscent of his appearance in Breakin' all make for a gem. If you like JCVD, cheesy martial arts movies, or a good night of MST3K, pick this one up for an entertaining night.



5. Kickboxer figures as one of the most exciting and legendary martial films of a very young by then Van Damme.
   
   His elder brother travel to Thailand for defending the title, being the Western champion in this category. But what both ignore is what the will find in that arena. His brother will have to face a sadistic and ruthless fighter who will play dirty, leaving him crippled.
   
   This dramatic fact will make Van Damme encourages and trains with all the rigorousness and maxim discipline with a curious old master, an exotic and sympathetic shaman who will prepare him with wise lessons of life too.
   
   The arresting landscapes of Thailand conform an additional frame of reference, although the predictability of the script. Because the fact twenty years have elapsed it's time to set this entertained and dynamic film in its right place and bringing it back its status cult. It deserves it.
   
   Don't miss it!.

1. I bought this video as a joke. However, the joke was on me when I was forced to watch it with the recipient. Unfortunately, this movie was NOT what I expected it to be. In another aspect, IT WAS WORSE. Not only does the movie steal from other movies, but its choppy, inconsistent in its scenes, and all together BAD. If I was in a movie theater I would have demanded a refund, and some TUMS, for the sour feeling in my stomach.

3. For one the movie came out in 1984 and for two its not even a Van Damme movie. He plays a small five minute roll in a gay guy and the whole movie is in French. All though he does throw a few kicks into thin air after grabbing some guys wang. The movie sucks. The thew his picture on the cover and re-released it in 1993 hoping to make a few bucks.



4. Any film with Michelle Bauer is worth seeing, and the kick-boxing scene with Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme is interesting.



5. Not a great movie but a special item for colletor. That's the first movie of JCVD. For the real fan.

1. this is a short (about 45 min) documentary of on the films of bruce lee. the production value is low and the content is merely ok. it's valuable only to the fan of bruce lee (it does give a good list of all his movies, not as many as you think). i bought it in a two pack with another Lee documentary, The Intercepting Fist, a documentary on the style of martial arts he created, and is a truly good documentary. If you can find the 2-pack, go for it, otherwise, i'd probably pass on this one.

   barriers for positive impact. Thoughtfully narrated by the
   actor's daughter Shannon Lee, the documentary is highlighted by

1. How can Van Damm be the star of the movie, when he's only in it for about 10 minutes??? Kurt is in most of it. Kurt is the main character and makes the movie along with RJ, The Fat Burger Kid and the other young guys and girls in it. Van Damm is nothing more than a guest role at best. Yes, he went on to become a bigger star, but McKinney has also done well since, appearing in a wide range of TV shows and making a couple more movies since, right up to the present day. He also won an award for his acting in the 1990s. Kurt is #1.



2. Some people might think the movie was too cheesy or whatever but I personally think it is good and quite interesting, another reason why 1980s were good, at least for me



3. We got this movie in 1980-somehting when I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. We had five kids who were raised watching this movie as Okinawa had no US TV and we had to get Videotapes for our entertainment. As the kids grew, they remade this movie several times using their own equipment. They had the lines and acting down pat - just like the original - it was so easy to imitate. Anyway, as I get older, I wouldn't trade my original copy of this movie with my kids remakes for anything in the world. To this day, we take this stuff out and watch it every Christmas. Ah the memories it brings back is so sweet and all the grown kids still get the biggest "kick" out of it. What fun! Try and start your own memories with this and your own small kids.



4. No Retreat No Surrender is a classic martial arts movie from the 80s. It's classic because it follows the 80s formula of "screw it, put it in there, people will enjoy it regardless of how unbelievable it is".
   
   The movie "stars" a runt named Jason (Kurt McKinney), who looks like the guy perpetually gets his lunch money stolen. All is well in his sheltered life until one day he skips into his father's dojo just in time to see his father getting a beatdown from a Russian mobster henchman named Ivan (Jean Claude Van Damme). Evidently, the Sherman Oaks Karate School is prime gangster real estate, and the Russian syndicate simply must have it.
   
   After his dad gets a can of ***-whoopin' from Ivan, and a broken leg, the family is forced to move to Seattle to regain any semblance of pride. It's in Seattle that Jason meets RJ, a black guy who wears a jheri curl to distract others from seeing how lame he really is. But, hey! He can breakdance, and he sure can dribble a basketball while riding a bicycle like it's nobody's business!
   
   Anyway, Jason and RJ get bullied by karate thugs, and afterwards Jason is visited by Bruce Lee's ghost. (seriously) Lucky for Jason, it's just in time to meet up with Ivan, who is yet again applying a beating to an unprepared opponent. This time, however, Jason has had a few months of training behind him and is more than prepared for the final battle.
   
   The final battle is classic. And by classic I mean most atrocious choreography for a fight scene in movie history. There is one bright side, and that is the fact that we get to see the genesis of Jean Claude Van Damme's patented move: the splits. Jason uses it on him during the fight with deadly effectiveness, and JCVD hasn't forgotten the lesson to this day.
   
   I can't recommend this movie highly enough. Watch it for the laughs, the bad acting, and the beginning of the phenomenon known as Jean Claude Van Damme.

   Overall I have to say that this flick was one of the stupidest movies ever but the production values are high and the acting is pretty good. Very unusual for a Jean Claude movie. I even remember some classic lines from the hockey announcer. I wouldn't rate this as one of Damme's better movies, but then again, it is really not far off. All in all, this was a fun movie, if you are not over the age of 13.



3. I've never been a big fan of Jean-Claude Van Damme, and as of last night, had never watched a film of his before. Although I did feel like watching Street Fighter a few years back, but I was really into Kylie Minogue at the time. And I was young. That's an excuse right?
   
   I was ended up pleasantly surprised by his acting - for some reason, I'd got it into my head that he's not that good an actor. OK, he was alright, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go rushing out to buy all his films.
   
   There's nothing new about this film, but it'll grab your attention the whole time it's on the screen. It's a clone of many other movies, and and it itself, has probably been cloned over the years. What's terrific is the build up to the finale. It's one of those movies, where just when you think surely it's finished now, it brings out another twist, or another explosion, and you're swept along.
   
   There's a few silly moments included in the film - Van Damme fighting a woman in a penguin suit for example, it's so funny to see and must have been embarrassing to film! :) But it ended up with the woman in the penguin suit someone that could be easily killed off and no one worries about her.
   
   Three quarters of the way through the movie Van Damme decides to take a quick break from all the hard work - and play some hockey! At first I totally did not realise it was Van Damme, for some reason, I thought it was one of the bad guys. It wasn't until the over done "I love you" moment, that I realised who it was.
   
   Unfortunately, Van Damme is far overshadowed by bigger, better action heroes, despite his best attempts at an impression of Bruce Willis throughout. Arnie & Sly obviously have the bigger muscles, and dare I say it, Mr Seagull has the overall size. Who would win in a punch up?
   
   What I was most looking forward to about this was seeing little Ross Malinger again, who I best knew from Sleepless In Seattle. He doesn't play a different character, or look any older (who else wanted him to stand up & shout out "I preferred my daddy in Sleepless In Seattle!")
   
   Overall, it's a pretty good action movie, doesn't test the braincells too much, and is pretty good fun.



4. I like hockey and I like action movies. This was one of my favorite movies growing up and I still enjoy it today. The movie has great action moments and Van Damme has his best movie.



5. I am not sure why I hear a lot of bad comments about this Van Damme film. Sudden Death is one of many "Die Hard" remakes, but this is the most exciting one I have seen, all taking place in the Pittsburgh hockey arena during game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. The action and suspense are teriffic, and Van Damme does a fine all-around performance (for Van Damme). The movie is quickly paced and something is always happening. Though acting and visual effects may be poor at times, this is not a film to be watching for a wonderful hollywood drama. This is pure Van Damme excitment for some no-brain kick-butt action. I give 4.5 stars, not because this is one of the best movies ever made, but it is one of the most exciting Van Damme movies that is must see fun.
   
   Van Damme is "Darren", a sort-of fire rescue man who brings his daughter and son to the hockey game. Before the game begins, preparations are already unfolding for a new terror plot. The Vice President is on his way to the game to view the action live, and the terrorists are ready to take action once he takes his position in the owner's vip room. Naturally, the man in charge (Joshua Foss, played by Powers Boothe) wants money, and if he doesn't get it, he kills one hostage in the room after each period of the game expires. If the money is not in his account, the entire arena is rigged to blow at the conclusion of the game.
   
   Enter Van Damme, who plays hero, but does an exciting job of it. He gets in plenty of fights throughout the interior of the arena and on the rooftop as well. My favorite is with one of the terrorist women, who is disguised in the Penguin's mascot outfit. Its kinda silly that he is fighting a mascot, but the kitchen they fight in gets torn up real good. There is also a pretty good fight in the weight room later on.
   
   One of the most exciting things about the film is that it is all taking place during a hockey game. The game itself is fun to watch, as we get dozens of clips throughout the movie. At one point, in an attempt to avoid some of the terrorists, Van Damme enters the game as the Penguin's goalee, though no one realizes it. He is forced to play a few minutes of the game, and it was pretty fun to see.
   
   Again, 4.5 for a great Van Damme film. Do check this one out, as it is a roller coaster that never stops. Though the ending is predicatble, its fun to see how we get there.
