  1. Honestly, this movie is cheesy but not all that bad. No big surprises who the serial killer is though, but by the way they shoot the scene I think the director seemed to think so. Okay fight scenes spaced through-out and they do make "Tiger-Claw" style kung-fu look pretty vicious. Would watch if nothing else on and you want to see some pretty good action...acting isn't too great though.

  2. I actually saw Tiger Claws II (on dvd) before watching the first Tiger Claws (vhs only). The 3 big stars from Tiger Claws, Jalal Merhi, Cynthia Rothrock and Bolo Young, return to Tiger Claws II, and some newcomers as well who are pretty good martial artists from other movies. I had expected the sequal to be more exciting than the first, but as most sequals go, the first is better, and in this case too.

The biggest reason I like the first Tiger Claws is the story. Jalal Merhi and Cynthia Rothrock play 2 cops who are on a case to discover who has been brutally murdering martial art masters throughout town with a stlye known as "Tiger Claws" It isn't until about 1/2 way through the movie we discover who it is, but the 2 cops still have no idea, and end up thinking it is somebody else, who is also a bad boy, skilled in martial arts.

The action scenes are a bit better than in Tiger Claws II. We get to see plenty of fighting between Cynthia Rothrock/Jalal Merhi and Bolo Young. Bolo is his usuall bad guy self in this film, and I like how he really comes out his shell on camera near the end of the movie. You get to see more Bolo in part II, but he is a bit dirtier in this flick.

Not a real impressor, but Tiger Claws is a bit above average the typical martial arts film. Its not even a bad film in any way, it just doesn't go out on a limb and get too daring, except for the Tiger Claws style of fighting.

  1. Once again, the acting in this movie is of low quality. This time, Mimi plays a reporter trying to get the story straight on runaways in Hollywood. She runs into trouble, and karates her way out of it. I'm not sure what the producers and Mimi were thinking when they did this movie. I fast forwarded through most of this movie; the only thing I really looked at to be honest was Mimi's half hearted attempt to present a **** scene! There's really nothing good for me to write to try to endorse this movie: it is just bad. Sorry Mimi, but you're just another pretty face making a weak attempt to make dismal movies!

  2. I bought "Streets of Rage" purely on the strength of the alleged director, the master Richard Elfman. To say the least, I was a bit upset to find out that he only co-wrote it. This was probably only to get into the star's pants. I hope it worked, because this movie was poo.

  3. This is my favorite movie, and I like her fight action scene. But she (Mimi Lesseos) should appeal her fight action much much ... much more !!! I think she demonstrates only 10% of her fight skills.

  1. I loved the story it was a new aspect showing different martial artists. Brad played by Dan Mayid, is awesome. His techniques look outstanding. I hope he makes more movies! I think he's gonna be the new Karate Kid! Can't wait for x-treme fighter 2

  2. It is a little confusing because the star is not really Lorenzo Lamas but Don "The Dragon" Wilson. Lorenzo is in it, but a smaller part.

The sory is (Wilson) must save his son from a video game by fighting ,and winning each level. It's kind of fun to watch a who's who of fighters meet wilson at each level. The only real suspense comes from guessing who he will meet at each level, based on who's in the credits.

    Overall it's fun.

  3. After a long time waiting I finally got to see my karate instructor Master Dan Mayid in his first martial arts movie! If I did not know better I would think his fighting scences were for real. It has a cool story and X-treme Fighter is now my favorite martial arts movie and Master Mayid is now my favorite movie star! If you buy this movie you will love it too! I hope there will be an X-treme Fighter 2!

  4. This movie *should* have been so much better. Forget the plot, it isn't needed. Don't worry about the acting, it's unnecessary. This movie was supposed to be all about the fight sequences. As the DVD case advertises "25 Fight Scenes" and "10 World Champions". Sadly, all those world champions must have forgotten to eat their wheaties when they showed up to work. The choreography was terrible. It was slow, choppy, technically poor, and rarely lasted long enough. I've seen many of these people in other films, and I know they are capable of better.

Don Wilson, Cynthia Rothrock, Christine Bannon-Rodriguez, the Kim twins, Lorenzo Lamas, Eric Lee, Michael Matsuda, Brad Verret, Maurice Smith, Ray Wizard, and especially Chris Cassamassa. Half the cast was on "WMAC Masters", and we know they can give us fantastic scenes with the right producer and fight choreographer. Cynthia Rothrock, Don Wilson, and Lorenzo Lamas have made careers of action films, and they were some of the worst offenders. The worst scenes? Rothrock versus Bannon-Rodriguez. Don Wilson versus Bannon-Rodriguez. Cassamassa versus Wilson. Wilson versus Smith (who has thankfully moved on to greener pastures as the head coach of the IFL's Tiger Sharks, a more fitting use of his talents!). I can't think of one good fight from the entire film, and when the film's raison d'etre was fight choreography, it better live up to the hype. The only decent fight was between Wilson and Gokor Chivichyan, and that's not saying much.

This one didn't. I'm glad this was only $10. Will I watch it again, sure. It kills time on a lazy Saturday. But if you want good fight choreography, go check out MK, MKII or something from China. There's a reason very few people have heard of this film...except for the actors' students, who are hurling around 4 and 5 star reviews based on that fact alone.

  5. hmm... this may have been the worst martial arts movie ive ever seen..lol, they use a gamecube, christmas tree lights and a bike helmet for there cool "virtual reality system".. fight scenes are very pathetic, If your interested in a real martial artist, watch some of tony jaa's stuff, hes good, maybe even close to Bruce lee's level.

  1. An exciting newcomer hits the big screen! Dan Kobb stars as ill-fated C.I.A. operative Stevens in this gripping tale of intrigue and love set in steamy Jakarta. Mr. Kobb's portrayal of the caring yet naive agent brought tears to my eyes, as I'm sure it will to yours.

  2. The powerful chemistry of martial arts superstars Richard Norton
and Cynthia Rothrock gets another successful work-out in "Rage and Honor 2." Rothrock is reunited with Norton in Jakarta where
their characters target a banker who is laundering millions in
drug money. Patrick Muldoon delivers an effective supporting
performance as the banker's suspiciously naive son. The movie's
intrigues reveal a struggle for a diamond fortune and unravel a
maze of traps designed to sidetrack the heroes. Plot twists and
skillful combats make "Rage and Honor 2" a must-see sequel and a
worthy addition to the remarkable Norton-Rothrock list of colloborative movie ventures.

  1. I didn't see much of this movie, but what I saw was pretty good. One of our females also thought that it was porn-o-licious.

  2. This is a low budget action movie that didn't quite come together. Cynthia Rothrock kicked booty as usual, but Fred Williamson and his character are unmemorable. The supposed budding romance between the Rothrock and Williamson characters lacked chemistry and thankfully there was no sex scene to strain credibility further. The plot is better than the usual martial arts movie, and this movie tries hard to be more than a kick-flick (the recovering alcoholic subplot comes to mind) but the overall story was not compelling.

This movie is worth renting for Rothrock's martial arts skills, but it is not worth owning unless you can find it in the bargain bin.

  3. Oh my God this movie is so bad it's great. I never thought anyone could get so many bad cop cliches in one movie:

    a) Two complete opposites get paired up together.
    b) Willy Will Williamson gets shot and has to open his vest to show that he had a bulletproof vest.
    c) Mr. Williamson has a drinking problem.
    d) Fantastic Fred hates his chief.

I'd like to stop here, but the flaws in this movie are high-larious.
    a) The WHOLE motorcycle scene. (It's quite obvious that those black things on the ground are exploding.
    b) After Fred avoids the bombs, if you look in the background, there are no flames.
    c) The song: "Dakota Smith, you're 1, 2, 3, 4, 12 Steps away!"
    d) After Dak shoots some dude IN THE HEAD Quick Draw-McGraw turns to him in amazement "He's Dead!!!!" Thanks toots.
    e) Oh yeah her last name is not McGraw!
    f) The disgustingly huge fat guys that hook up with the playboy bunnyesque chicks. Come on!
    g) Newt (the midget.) His role is Oscar worthy.
    h) The Video Stalker Barney the Dinosaur is more threatening
    i) Video Stalkers death (sorry to ruin the end, but I think you'll see it coming.) His exact words "I'm out of bullets (drops the gun)"

There's more, believe me. Watch it for yourself for a great laugh. Trust me this one is right up there with Satan's Children and Shark Attack 3: Megaladon-The Terror has Risen.

  4. I purchased this for $2 at a local video store thinking it would be enjoyable on an ironic level. It's just a waste--though I'll give it two stars since Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys is in it.

  1. Even if you don't think your time is valuable, it would be better spent and enjoyed if you stared at the off-white wall in your bedroom. At least your wall has texture. This movie is total trash. A big waste. And the martial arts, if you can call them that, are a joke.

  2. A good Martial Arts B movie. This is one of my Bolo Yeung Favorites, he is just dirty in this flick. Both 1 & 2 are good, 1 is better. Why is Tiger Claws 1 not on DVD but 2&3 are? I don't know what they are thinking but I like to see my movies in order! Wait for part one on DVD First(on Widscreen) before buying two.
    Nuff said!

  3. I'll start off by being honest and saying I have not seen part 1 yet. There were some clips at the beginning of this film from part 1, and they looked somewhat decent...mostly the Bolo Young character in some fight scenes. At first I was not expecting much from this movie, and really bought it cause it had one of my favorite B-movie martial arts villains, Bolo Young. I realized that the overall cast list was pretty good, consisting of Bolo, Jalal Merhi, Cynthia Rothrock, Eric Lee, Evan Lurie, and Ong Soo Han. There are even plenty of other extra guys, with great physicall build and abilities for the martial arts tournament in the film. I was prepared for some great fights among some great movie martial artists.

Most of the movie has a pretty good feel to it, and I think the music helps a lot - it almost sound like similar music used in Terminator 3. Pacing was good and I actually never realized that there wasn't too much action taking place. By the end of the film I longed for the action, and was pleased to see there was a tournament. The fights were short though, and only a few were decent. Bolo gets to fight too, but only in a couple of very short fights. The biggest dissapointment was the use of Ong Soo Han and Eric Lee, yet without little to no fighting from the 2 and both usually have excellent fights in most of their movies. Ong Soo Han's character's fate was a huge disappointment. The other big dissapointment was the finale with Bolo - I was hoping for a great fight scene with him and Jalal or Cynthia - didn't happen. He uses a few seconds of Tiger Claws on some guys, but its pretty stupid when each time he executes, the sound of a roaring tiger follows.

The plus is the final fights between the Cynthia Rothrock charcater and a couple of bad guys, and the Jalal Merhi charcater vs the bad guy character played by Evan Lurie, which ended up being the best fight of the movie - more evenly matched and longer.

Tiger Claws 2 ends up being average overall. The decent list of characters should have provided an extremely great action movie, but the best guys don't get to fight much. Hopefully Tiger Claws 3 will have a great fight with Bolo...oh wait he isn't in part 3....major doh!

  1. This is by far the worst cast of "actors" ever assembled in a martial arts video! I like Don Wilson. However, both he and the remaining cast are horrible actors! This movie is so bad that I left in the middle of it. It thought that Richard Norton and Cynthia Rothrock could bring some life to this movie. I was sadly mistaken!
I give this a 2 star rating only because of Cynthia Rothrock and Richard Norton.-absolutely terrible!

  1. I watched this after watching Royal Warriors (aka In the Line of Duty II, also with Michelle Yeoh) and this film was great as well. Yes, Madam(aka In the Line of Duty or Police Assassins) is about two top police women from their respective countries teaming up to retrieve a micro film which is evidence to put away some mob guy. Well, he's a bad guy with a lot of bodyguards and thats all you need to know. As the ...reviewer said, this is sort of like Rush Hour in reverse. The fighting is ever so awesome and brutal, I cringed several times during this one. Cynthia Rothrock shows a lot of her best stuff here, and Michelle is awesome as usual. .... The last fighting scenes are just magical with great production by Sammo Hung; plenty of crazy kick stunts and flips. However, the dvd isnt the greatest sound wise. It seems some of the sound effects were toned down, and the supposed 5.1 dolby isn't very noticable at all. If you got a Region 2 dvd player w/ PAL converter, then get Hong Kong Legends version which is under the name Police Assassins, I believe the sound was redone and the picture quality is second to none. Tsiu Hark and Sammo both make humorous guest appearances in the film as well. If you liked Royal Warriors, you'll love this and besides, its the prequel to Royal. I believe any martial arts fan will be impressed by this one. Check out Michelles other greats such as Wing Chun, Royal Warriors, CTHD (Crouching Tiger...duh), Magnificent Warriors. The only other Cynthia Rothrock movie that I could safely recommend is Righting Wrongs which is totally awesome. I would definitely recommend a buy with all these titles including Yes, Madam...check it out...hope this and my other HK flicks reviews are helpful.

  2. This is a bad movie. All scenes are funny and stupid. I do not like that kind of Chinese joke in this film. It is dirty and does not make any sense. I regreted to buy it.

  3. It is bad movie. Most of sences are joke stupidly and non-sense. At the beginning of the film indicated a dirty kind of joke that is usually see in Asian movies. It is very cheap joke for low class audiences.

  4. this was a fun movie michelle yeoh is in it, that's all that matters. i just wished that they would stop with the subtitles and dub it in english for region 1 viewers.

  5. Now some people may have been seriously injured on this film. There are scenes where a stuntman will fall HARD. I am talking about his head bouncing off of the ground a couple of times!

So the story in this movie is pretty bad, but the girly humor between Rothrick and Yeoh is as bad as it gets. Yeoh isn't so bad but Cynthia Rothrick is truly hard to watch. But then she gets to fighting and it is all good. She is nowhere near the level of performer as evrybody else in the movie but she is definitely one of the top American woman kung fu stars ever.

So Michelle has one of the best stunts ever and their are a few more in the movie to match that. While the story is really really bad, the final fight is a lot of fun. Dick Wei(Project A) has always been a good screen fighter and Chung Fat shows up as this really stupid character but he can also fight really well. So as long as you don't go into this expecting a gripping movie you should be OK. Not a ton of fights but the end I had to watch a couple of times. Good outing for Michelle Yeoh's first time doing action on screen.
