5 comments about Game of Death.
- As a long time Bruce Lee fan I found "Game of Death" to be a disgrace. Bruce Lee died tragically during the production of the film and for some reason the film company decided to finish it and release it with out him. A very bad decision, because the finished product is one of the most broken and comically bad kung Fu films ever made. It's not that I'm angry that they decided to finish the film with out Bruce, but if you're going to finish a film make sure that your star is in at least half of the footage. Instead Bruce Lee is in about 10% and the rest is his body double with a Bruce Lee head pasted on his shoulder. He'll be fighting and the head will remain motionless and expresstionless, it's like a gag video from youtube. On the other hand, the 10% that Bruce is in(Not his evil pasted head clone)is classic. No one can forget his fight with Kareem and it's truly one of the most memorable fights in Kung Fu film history. The rest of the film is a painful bore. I find out fast that this wasn't really a Bruce Lee film at all. Just a poorly fabricated movie built around 15 minutes of Lee footage that only comes in at the end.I felt really cheated after watching it. For Bruce Lee fanatics only. If you're looking for a good Kung Fu flick or just a good flick in general then "Game of Death" is not for you.
-
If you like Bruce Lee, then you should buy this movie. I consider it a nice collectible.
- This is my favorite Bruce Lee movie. It arrived in a fast and timely manner. I would order again.
- This film is great to me due to the fight scenes of course which i thought were well done. The actual tape recieved from this seller was in a nonworking condition however.
- The Game of Death is the biggest disappointment you can watch as a Bruce Lee fan. It is not even a Bruce Lee film. It is a film with a terrible story, a stunt double, Bruce Lee's face pasted on the shoulders of the stunt double (yes it is actually like a photo on someone's shoulders), sequences taken from other Bruce Lee films you have seen before and the two fight scenes filmed with Bruce Lee before he died.
So most people want to watch it for the 11 minutes of Bruce Lee where he appears right at the end. There is the nunchaku fight scene and the Kareem Abdul Jabbar fight.
The bottom line is that there is a much better way to do this than watching this train wreck. The film is absolutely chronically bad and the production should have been shelved and the fight sequences released in a documentary. That is the way this should have been done... in fact it has been done! It's called "Bruce Lee - A Warrior's Journey" (2000). If you have any sense you would get that if you want to watch this for the Bruce Lee fight sequence. It contains all of this sequence and more (outtakes).
The fight scene is a classic though, although it is debatable if it's his best. It is Lee with more experience and his styles are even wider than before. He also wears a legendary yellow jumpsuit with black stripes and cute matching shoes. The outfit appears in the Tekkan games with the character Marshal Law.
This terrible film should never have been remastered for release in the Martial Arts section of Contender Entertainment Group's `Hong Kong Legends'. It should have been omitted from the Bruce Lee box set and replaced with A Warrior's Journey.
Anyway, A Warrior's Journey is where it is at. Bruce Lee would have personally smashed this production to splinters.

5 comments about Dodgeball - A True Underdog Story (Full Screen Edition).
- This movie is pretty funny and has a lot of good jokes. It has a few "painful" parts, but mostly the humor is good. And Steve the Pirate makes the movie!
- With elements of parody culled from such sources as the movie, Hoosiers, G.I. Joe action figures and exercise equipment/nutrition infomercials, this is an absolute funny romp that is not just individual bits spliced together; the plot moves sprightly past what was supposed to be the ending - the final game - to a much more satisfying conclusion of sudden-death overtime on the Dodgeball floor.
Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn are outstanding in their roles in this unique variation of good versus evil; with the storyline focusing on the members of local gym versus the fitness mavens at a plush, state-of-the-art mega-center.
And in the end, the play-by-play announcer says it all: "Do you believe in improbabilities? Yes!"
- I think when you put Vince Vaughn in most any comedy he will do a fine job. This is probably his funniest work to date. When you take the idea of dodge ball as a competitive sport you know its going to be funny. Most all of the supporting cast is funny, the only person that is not is Ben Stiller. I think he truly was trying not to be funny and really that was supposed to be his character. The movie is great and though I have not seen the unrated version yet I am sure the general movie is still the same.
- This is a hilarious movie. Great spin on a childhood game picked up by adults. Ben is great
- This was just a positive experience dealing with the seller. Couldn't have asked for more!

5 comments about Bells of Innocence.
- "Bells of Innocence" is about three guys who are flying to Mexico in a small plane to deliver bibels. Their plane runs out of oil and they have to land in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in Texas. They find a small town where there is no phone and everybody's acting strange, especially the children. Chuck Norris appears as a mysterious man with a horse. After a while it turns out the town has been taken over by the devil or something like that and that our three christian heroes must save the children.
Even though I know that whenever a film stars David A.R. White, the film is always some sort of christian propaganda, and usually not well made. Still, "Bells of Innocence" was surprisingly badly made. The special effects were what you might have expected from a 1960s movie, and all of the dialogue, and the entire story, was laughable.
If you're looking for a good movie, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a Chuck Norris movie, look elsewhere. He only plays a minor character. If you're looking for a movie that preaches christianity, this might do, and it's also worth watching if you like really bad movies, because it's so bad it's entertaining.
- I got this DVD to show it to my friends from Church around Halloween. I really wanted to like it because it is a Christian film and because it has Chuck Norris in it. But it was really bad. The acting was bad, the dialogue and story were silly and there was hardly any action. I decided that I would not put my Christian friends through this punishment and I never watched it with them. I will probably trade this movie for something else at a local movie trading store.
- Great message of faith. Also alerts you to the fact that we must at all times protect our children because the enemy (satan) is out to destroy them. They are our future.
- I am a very big fan of Chuck Norris and i love all his movie and i bought this one thinking it would be as good as the rest. This movie was awful I have, my child was watching it with me and I had to send her to bed because of the stupid withcraft and Satanism in the movie. This movie should have a rating, which it doesn't, and i think that it is the worst movie he has made! The town in this movie is "possessed" and they think they take all the children to the rituals and they use the children. There is one child in particuler that is possessed and she is so demonic that younger people do not need to watch this movie.
- Obviously low budget, interesting premise, kind of surprising for Christians who know about Chuck Norris' conversion.

5 comments about Breaker, Breaker.
- Chuck Norris's brother is hauling freight through a small Texas Town when the local sherif arrests him on a trumped up charge. The town confiscates the load, kidnaps his brother, and puts him in jail.
This causes chuck to go into the town and start opening a king sized can of whoop but. Bad acting, good fight seens, and a poor story line all combine for a pretty good movie. I'd buy this movie just to laugh at the out of date 1960-1970 fasions.
Rich
- During the CB (Citizen Band) radio craze of the 70's, Chuck Norris began his very successful leading man career by appearing in this film.
Norris plays a trucker whose brother gets caught up in a speed-trap town whose leaders don't mind killing to maintain control. Of course, truckers unite by using the CB radios, Norris kicks lots of butt, and a good reckneck time is had by all.
The CB focus, fashions and trends are very dated, and the movie isn't good enough to overcome these limitations. But it works as a cheap action flick and curio timepiece. Breaker, Breaker is far from Norris' best, but he has also done much, much worse.
- This picture was made back in 1977 and I don't remember where I saw it at. This was a very young and very blonde Chuck Norris who played the role of John David Dawes. Also George Murdock plays the role of Judge Trimmings and terry O'Conner plays the role of Arlene. When John returns home he goes to see his brother who's riding a dirt bike. John brother Billy wants to drive a big rig and take a load of something somewhere. So John agrees to let Billy take a load gets to a small town in Texas. Billy gets into trouble with a Joshua Trimmings who's a crooked Judge that runs the small town. When John fines out that Billy never made it, he heads towards Texas to fine him. Breaker, Breaker, wasn't the best movie but it wasn't that bad. I give this movie 7 weasel stars basically for its action.
- I really found this movie to be quite original and not surprisingly action packed. The plot was original and entertaining with concurrent themes and constant suspense. The acting was a little weak in only a few places, but overall the performances were really quite good for an action movie during the time frame it was created. What really surprised me was the sophisticated cinematography, usually action movies are kind of lax in that area. Chuck Norris did a fine job in his fledgeling incursion into film from martial arts, and his real world skills amazed often throughout the film. I would recommend this film to anyone, especially action afficiandos.
- The best thing you can say about this movie is that it's not bad for Chuck Norris' first leading role. He hadn't developed much of a screen presence yet and was basically just trying to get through the acting scenes so he could karate-up the bad guys. This film tries to capitalize on the CB and trucker craze of the 70's and starts off with an underpowered but spirited little "Convoy" knock off...er...homage over the opening credits.
The action is pretty simple and straightforward but you have to remember that audiences back then were less sophisticated in regards to martial arts action than audiences are today. For years in Hollywood it was considered unsporting or dirty pool to fight a man in any way but pure fisticuffs. Seeing a man, especially a Westerner, kick another dude to pieces was pretty new to moviegoers back then and it was definitely enough to WOW the crowds.
Chuck's character isn't really well defined here. We know he's a trucker who helps take care of his kid brother. We know he's an arm wrestling champ of some sort and we know he teaches martial arts and meditation, while wearing some very 70's clothes, to some guys who look like 70's porn stars. We also know that he shouldn't wear those tight 70's jeans. I suspect years of high kicks have developed Chuck's gluteus to the point that he rivals 227's Jackee' in the bodonkadonk department. But you can see the beginnings of Chuck's later screen character, the solid decent guy who just wants to live his life and do right by himself and his family and friends.
George Murdock does a good over-the-top job as the corrupt judge. The rest of the cast seem less like actors and more like people who happened to be standing nearby when the director yelled "Action".
The writing is pretty unsophisticated and leaves several key plotlines unresolved.
Overall it just seems unfinished, unpolished, like it was made by film students as a class project. It does have it's good points though, like some decent action and some goofy 70's clothes and attitude, and the final scene where the ad hoc "Legion of Truckers" comes to Chuck's rescue is fun and probably where the production spent most of its money. It's a must for die hard Norris fans of course because you can see your hero's very beginnings and how far he's come (or not). For anyone else it's a so-so martial arts actioner.

5 comments about A Force of One.
- This is one of Chuck's best! He plays a champion karate instructor who's been asked to help teach self-defense classes to a class of police officers on the trail of a cop-killer they believe is a skilled martial artist. There's fun dialogue (listen to that offscreen cop muse about baseball mit prices while he and his partner search for clues at a sporting goods store!), good fight scenes (Wallace's kicks and Norris's spinning back fist look very sharp during the tournament matches), involving scenes of suspense (run, Charlie, run!), and Chuck dialogue at its best ("Whoever did this, is as good as dead.") It's got a low budget feel (because it WAS a low budget pic) with some extended long shots (not a lot of different camera angles and fancy framing), but that adds a little realistic touch and some extra charm to the film as well. Highly recommended for fans of Chuck! (Other top-notch Chuck Norris films would be CODE OF SILENCE and WAY OF THE DRAGON-also known as RETURN OF THE DRAGON. And I also recommend SLAUGHTER IN SAN FRANSISCO which is a REALLY low budget Hong Kong movie starring Don Wong-also known as Wong Dao-where mouths don't match the words and Chuck plays a really good bad guy!)
- `He hears the silence. He sees the darkness. He's the only one who can stop the killing.' That's the tagline for the drama action thriller A Force of One (1979), starring Chuck Norris. I have no idea what it means to `hear the silence', or `see the darkness', but I suppose it has something to do with being a karate man (martial artists in the late 70's apparently had yet to earn the distinction of being known as `martial artists', often referred to as `karate men', as illustrated within this film) ...or maybe some promotional person just thought it sounded cool. While this wasn't Chuck Norris' first starring feature (most accept 1979's Good Guys Wear Black to have that distinction), it was the first, decent film he starred in, and, along with his ever growing fan base, helped turn this 6-time World Karate champion an internationally known film star. Based on a story by Ernest Tidyman (Shaft, The French Connection), A Force of one was directed by Paul Aaron, whose previous credits at the time included A Different Story (1978) and the made for television version of The Miracle Worker (1979), starring Patty Duke. The film stars Chuck Norris (Lone Wolf McQuade, Missing in Action 2: The Beginning) and the always-lovely Jennifer O'Neill (Summer of '42, Scanners) with one of the most unattractive, butch haircuts I've ever seen on a female. Also appearing is Clu Gulager (The Last Picture Show), Ron O'Neal (Superfly, Red Dawn), and martial artist Bill `Superfoot' Wallace in his silver screen debut.
The film takes place in a relatively small California community, which is being overrun by the drug trade. As the film begins, we witness the death of two undercover detectives at the lethal hands of a mysterious, masked karate man. The detectives were investigating a lead, and met their fate while searching a local business (without a search warrant, I might add...which happens a number of times throughout the film, leading me to believe California has some of the most lax search and seizure laws in the nation). Anyway, the police are baffled by the deaths of two of their own, and soon come to the conclusion it must have been a karate man. This prompts them to seek out local karate expert and trainer Matt Logan (Norris) not only for possible leads, but also for training. Logan's hesitant to get involved, as he's busy training to defend his karate man title, but his conscience compels him, and he ends up helping out (which is good because everyone knows if you want to beat a karate man, you need a karate man). This ends up leading to one of the more cliché plot devices in films, where the bad guys harm one of Logan's kin, so now it's personal, forcing Logan to issue the declaration I used for the title of my review.
This wasn't a bad little independent action flick, certainly formulaic, aided marginally by some decent performances by O'Neill (the scene where she reacts to the deaths of a couple of colleagues was pretty strong) and even Norris himself (whom, incidentally got his training as an actor from Jonathan Harris, better known as Dr. Smith, from TV's Lost in Space). Director Paul Aaron seemed like an odd choice, given his non-action film work, but he did reasonably well on all counts. The supporting cast did well, but their characters weren't given a whole lot to work with, and it shows. This is especially true of Gulager's character of Chief Dunne, who seemed to know very little about what his detectives were investigating, and so when they turned up dead, there were virtually no leads to follow...great job keeping track of your people...I guess keeping you informed, reporting in, calling for back up and such, wasn't a priority (neither was the appropriation of search warrants, but I already mentioned that). I really liked the scenes where Norris' character is training the detectives in karate, as they provided a nice bit of levity in an otherwise a serious film. I also enjoyed the interaction between Norris' character and that of his adopted son as it felt natural, despite the character of the son turning into an obvious plot device later in the film (he was also in danger of becoming a comic relief character, but thankfully it never crossed that threshold). The real treat here is the fight scenes, choreographed by Norris himself and his younger brother Aaron. There's a feel of realism that's sometimes lacking in other action films. Director Aaron made a wise choice avoiding a lot of quick cuts and close-ups during these scenes, rather letting the scenes play out in lengthy wide shots. And is it me, or does the head bad guy Melrose, played by actor Clint Ritchie, look a heck of a lot like Gil Gerard, from TV's Buck Rogers in the 25th Century? And Melrose...if you're going to commit a crime, don't wear a t-shirt emblazoned with the logo of the store you work at while doing it (yeah, I know, he was wearing a blazer over it, but it was still visible)...
The film on this DVD is presented in full screen, and the picture is sharp and clear. I would have preferred the inclusion of a wide screen version, but what are you gonna do? The audio came through clearly, and gives the option of 5.1 Dolby Digital, along with 2.0 Mono in English, Spanish, or French. Special features include two featurettes titled `The Making of A Force of One' (16 min), and `How American Cinema Changed Hollywood Forever' (28 min) which details the rise and fall of American Cinema Group (the independent production company that originally released this film), and how their unique, innovative ideas and methods for making and marketing films eventually got co-opted by the larger studios, along with the company itself. Also included are cast and crew bios, along with a trailer and television commercial for the film.
Cookieman108
- Brillant Movie. I loved watching Bill Wallace Fight Chuck Norris I saw this movie many years ago and still love the film. This is not like other Hollywood Martial Arts Movies full of crappy stunts. The Action is brillant.
- The police have seen a rise in drug crimes, and they suspect that a killer trained in karate is killing their narcotics officers. Karate expert Chuck Norris is called in to catch the killer and also to train the officers in karate. Chuck Norris plays a kickboxer in the movie, and he finds out that his toughest oppenent in the ring is the karate killer the cops are looking for. This leads to a showdown between Chuck Norris and the villain. It starts in the ring, and ends out of the ring.
Th final fight is extremely short and so are all the other fights. I may be able to excuse the bad fight scenes if the story was good, but it isn't even close to good. There isn't any development put into ANY of the characters and this is where the movie really fails. The most enjoyment I got out of this movie was when it finally ended.
1.5/5
The DVD from Trinity Home Entertainment is full screen, but doesn't block out any of the action. Sound is good.
There is a great 15 minute making of featurette that includes interviews with the president of American Cinema, the director of the movie, the composer, and many others. One thing the director talks about is the casting. Unfortunately he doesn't talk about casting Bill "Superfoot" Wallace as the villain.
The other special feature is a 28 minute documentary on "How American Cinema changed Hollywood forever". This talks about how Chuck Norris was the film company's main star and how their company got started. It is the same documentary that is on Trinity's release of The Octagon
- I am a huge fan of Chuck Norris' movies before his Walker TV show. A Force of One was a title that was hard to find, either on DVD or VHS, and in the last 10 years, has only been shown on cable TV where I live once.
This is a film about a karate master (Norris) enlisted by the local PD to teach some narcotics cops karate, because a "karate killer" is killing off cops that get too close to a drug ring.
It's great to see a pre-mustache and beard Norris. I think this was movie geared more toward exposing the public to who Norris was, and what karate was all about. There's really no story or thick plot, or even interesting characters, but -- this is a Chuck Norris movie! Good movie to kill a Saturday afternoon on.

5 comments about Missing in Action 2: The Beginning/Braddock: Missing in Action III.
- these two movies are chuck at his worst! not once in these two movies is there and dose of humor or anything that passes for the laws of nature. and while i do like mr.norris and his movies these two are not even worth his or our time. between the first three chuck has saved his men, himself, and his son,so if they do anymore i guess he'll be going back to get his comb he droped in the bush!!
SKIP IT!!!!!!!!!!
- This product was brand new and the picture and image quality was clear and easy to understand. Thanks for a job well done and I look forward to do more business in the future with you and once again, thanks for a job well done and keep up the good work.
- Both Chuck Norris Movies were very good. I liked the action, and Chuck's acting. My double feature movie came quickly and I was pleased.
- Missing In Action II: The Begining. What a prophetic title for this unintentional comedy classic. It was the begining of many things. It is the trailblazer in explosions occuring behind guys, and having them jump off a springboard to appear as if they're getting blown away. It started the template for every WWF match of the late 80's(it even featured Mr. Fuji as one of the evil henchmen)in the way that Chuck and his co-star Soon-Teck Oh Yeah obviously got together just 5 minutes before the final fight scene to rehearse their slow motion punches and kicks. The film is really a thing of beauty. And as far as we, Sid the Elf know, it was the first film in which a flamethrower was used. Read that again. Yes! Awesome! Major bonus points here.
Sid was nearly moved to tears when the evil Col. Yin placed a bag containing a provoked rat on a bound Chuck's head. The cruelty was alarming. But, a simple rhodent going up against the all-knowing, all-powerful Chuck was no competition at all. Sid called it when he said, "Chuck's going to eat the rat and have the tail hanging out of his mouth when they pull the bag off." This is the kind of knowlwdge gained by THE B expert from his vast experiance. We knew Chuck was eating the rat. And we wouldn't have it any other way. Well, now that Chuck had nourished his body with the high protein content of Vietnimeese rat meat, he was as strong as a POW could ever be.
Still, Chuck was keeping his cool against the provocation of his captors all while never rebuking US and A, greatest country in the world. That is, until he was pushed over the edge. Then evil Col. Yin and his crew of flunkies were like a cobra's prey, ready to be pounced upon and struck at a moment's notice. At this point in the film, Sid found himself saying, "May Chuck Norris drink the blood of every man, woman, and child of Vietnam." And fortunately, Norris is a better man than Sid. He only drank the blood of all of his captors! He rescued his men, sent them away in a stolen drug chopper(don't ask) and stayed behind.
Why, you ask? Then you obviously don't know the Chuck formula. It goes like this: always be loyal, take the bad guys and finish them, and stay behind at a prison camp of which nobody knows the location and noone knows you are there to have a final showdown with the main bad guy, throw away your gun so you can fight him fair eventhough he has been tourturing you and your comrades long enough for you to grow a horrific 70's porn beard, kick the wontons out of him while saying, "This is for (fill in name of fellow inmate). Then, a split second before you press the button to blow his lair to pieces, say, "And this is for me." Huge explosion (just one of the many in the film). And roll closing credits.
If you remember to abandon logic like with all unintentional comedy you should love this film. It is legitamately good. It really doesn't matter that they made a prequel that ignored all the flashbacks from the first movie right? Well, at least Sid thinks it can be made up for with some good old-fashioned American propoganda and a flamethrower.
Chills, right? Your goosebumps' goosebumps have goosebumps don't they? Exactly. Take Sid the Elf's word for it and see Missing in Action II. Oh, yeah you will freaking love it.
- These movies are classics and I enjoyed these dvd's alot, I would recommened them to anyone who likes Vietnam movies and Chuck Norris as an actor.

5 comments about Good Guys Wear Black.
- It's easy to see why this is a cult classic. There is somthing about it that is historical, yet still has something to say about today.
- Don't buy this movie it does not have alot of action in it and has no plot at all.
- If you like deep character development, Oscar-winning performances and gripping drama, then look elsewhere.
Good Guys Wear Black is an early Chuck Norris as an ex-Special Forces commando left stranded with his unit in Vietnam. About six years later, he's resurfaced in the U.S., but all his comrades are being killed off. It's up to Norris to find out why, before he's next.
A little slow for a Norris film, but still a great ton of fun.
- I was completely deceived with this movie. I thought it was going to be another Norris-cop film, being that Chuck's wearing official cop shades on the cover. Then I thought I was watching Missing In Action, because the plot seemed to be similar...at least in the beginning. It turned out to be just another Norris film with no real highlights in it.
My complaints are as follows:
- the opening credits were horrid!! It was some new technology that Hollywood was playing around with using psychedelic colors and blurred-digital graphics. The song was ear-bleeding and nauseating. I just skipped it.
- The acting was as expected for such a film. The fight scenes were just lame and could have been done better with Tiger Showman-style karate, not the great martial arts we expect from Norris.
- The scene where Norris goes head-on with a speeding car was just ridiculous, especially after it was over and Chuck's just hanging out of the windshield looking like, "okay, now what?"
- There's no way they'd let anyone (even in the 70's) just bring a suitcase with a bomb on a plane. That part just ruined the movie for me and almost caused me to rip the disc from my player.
I do have to admit that the girl in the movie (Anne Archer) was smoking hot and there's no way she'd be in bed with Chia-Pet Chuck. I was hoping for a flash of flesh but was disappointed. The plot wasn't horrible, but could have been a bit better. Also the ending was great as I was wondering how Norris was going to clean up the mess that had been created.
Really not a bad movie, but I was expecting something more from Mr. Norris. Perhaps I'll have to check out his Missing in Action Collection (1, 2 & 3) series. This film could have been a great prequel for that.
- In this 1977 film, Chuck Norris is John T. Booker. When this name is presented you almost think that Norris' character is going to have special powers. Well I guess he does, right? Pardon my deviation, in this movie Chuck Norris plays a C.I.A/military mercenary now political science professor/amateur race car driver. However when a reporter, played by a young Anne Archer, comes to bring some skeletons out of John T. Booker's closet, the madness begins.
John T. Booker was part of a special unit called The Black Tigers. Their last mission was to save some M.I.A. soldiers in Vietnam. Consequently the mission didn't go as planned and many of The Black Tigers were killed. Now Anne Archer's character is asking John T. Booker if he feels he and his team were set up when this mission transpired five years prior.
I am not going to rehash the entire plot; if you are a fan of Norris you have already seen this movie, planning on seeing this movie or will just see it because Chuck is in it. I have seen many of Chuck Norris' films and this one isn't his best. In contrast it isn't awful either. As a matter of fact, this movie almost has a James Bond/24 feel to it (feel doesn't mean like or better). This is manly due to all the political intrigue and mystery woven into the storyline. As for the action it is there, yet it isn't saturated throughout the movie. This might created the perception of a boring or slow paced flick. I felt it was a good balance. I love the jump kick + moving car = this is why I have the DVD.
This move does have some bad special effects, poor acting and dubious events in plot. I found these deficits to prove charm (others might not). The one thing this movie has got going for itself is the time capsule it has put on the 1970s, the fashion, gender roles, soundtrack, special effects and house wares. Look at the tile and shower curtain in John T. Booker's bathroom and you'll know what I am talking about.
Overall a cult classic served with a bit of cheese. Again this isn't a great film, but does have some merit in the John T. Booker...I mean Chuck Norris catalog. The DVD provides a nice picture, chapter selection and actor biographies. As for the title of the movie, Chuck Norris/John T. Booker only wears black for ten minutes in this entire film, go figure.

- An Eye for an Eye gives you the feeling it was shot in Chuck's prime. It has a number of great actors other than Chuck - Christopher Lee, Mako and even Professor Toru Tanaka!. I didn't purchase the MGM version from the US as this page states it is in Pan & Scan. A widescreen version is available in Australia (Region 4) which I'm sure Amazon could order in for diehard fans. Brilliant!
- This movie is for Chuck Norris Fans Only (Like Me). The movie is good and has some nice fights but seems a bit old for today standards.
The DVD quality is good but you're not getting any special features en the Menu, just the movie with optional subs and the trailer.
But if you like Chuck Norris and B-Action films, you must see this movie or add it to your collection.
- An Eye For An Eye is easily one of Chuck Norris' best films, and not surprisingly, it's not because this is an Oscar-caliber film, or because it breaks some new ground.
Rather, An Eye For An Eye is great because it does what it's supposed to do very, very well. In fact, this is the first film of Norris' that really holds up well. In it, he plays a San Francisco cop who's partner gets killed during an arrest. A conspiracy develops that engulfs Norris, his dead partner's fiance who happens to be a TV news reporter, and Norris' martial arts instructor, played by Mako.
The fight scenes in this film are some of Norris' best, and having the fearsome wrestler/actor Professor Toru Tanaka as the main henchman in the film doesn't hurt either. Mako provides great comic relief, and Richard Roundtree is solid as Norris' superior officer.
An Eye For An Eye is a great martial arts/action film. One that Chuck Norris can be very proud to have on his list of credits.
- I want to give this movie 4 stars. Mainly because it has Mako, and Prof. Toru Tanaka. But without Chuck's 'stache...I can't. In all seriousness though. this movie is actually one of my favorites by Chuck. It's got a touch of the dectective story to it. The acting is better than usual in a chuck Norris flick. And, most importantly, the fight scenes are good.
I can't speak for anyone else, but when it comes to martial arts films, one thing matters above all else and that's fight scene choreography. Of course different eras and styles have different standards. As far as American martial arts, Chuck is still the standard in my opinion...all due respect to Billy Blanks, Cynthia Rothrock, et al. This title, along with a few others, show Chuck's prowess as a martial artist in a way that later became lost in an array of spinning back fists, round house kicks and cheesy scripts (can anyone say, "The President's Man"?).
Overal this movie is fun, with some good fight scenes and a memorable performance by the Professor. Definately worth a view!!
- Chick Norris' "An Eye for An Eye" followed "The Octagon" and while the fight scenes were not anywhere as good in this movie as the ninja crazed flick, it did bolster nice performances from Christopher Lee, Mako, and yes, Chuck Norris. Here Chuck begins to finally appear somewhat comfortable as an actor. Prof. Tanaka (the really big villain) looks intimidating, but the final fight scene between him and Chuck is very limited. Matter of fact, Chuck's fight scenes appear more in line with his character. He is as Mako asserts, a little sloppy at times, but believable as one tough cop.

- A one star for some movies means that it really sucks. But one star for a Chuck Norris movie, this Chuck Norris movie, means that it is one of his better ones. I thought Missing in Action was a pretty entertaining 80's action movie. Sure it is crap but it is fun and exciting. Chuck is a horrible actor and has never gotten better but this movie is not a bad flick. Compared to some of his movies this is a 5 star. Compared to other movies... it is a one star.
- Wow, seriously, way too many reviews of this film. Does Missing In Action really need over 28 reviews? There's really nothing I could add. Three stars.
- The only bad thing to come out of Bruce Lee's career is Chuck Norris. Lee was Asian and middle-America (i.e. rednecks) couldn't accept that at first. But they sure love fighting and a** kickin'. Enter Chuck Norris, a man half as skilled as Lee, but white.
"Missing in Action" is garbage and so is your mind if you like it.
ZERO stars.
- To be truthful, if it were any other person as the star, I'd probably give this no stars. But still, I have a special place in my heart for Chuck Norris. Most people know going into a movie like this that it is not driven by brilliant story telling. You want a fun movie where the hero kicks butt and takes names. Well, it takes a while before Chuck does those things. For me, its a let down because when he DOES serve up justice, its almost entirely with guns and explosives. This from the 6 time world karate champ & 8th degree grand master in taekwondo. I realize this is an 'action' movie and not a 'martial arts' movie, but Chuch could have at least thrown us a bone on this one.
At the same time, I still love the feel of the whole 'We are America, screw everyone else' attitude. Pretty good fun for a lazy Saturday night.
- It might have been a fairly good movie if the kids mother wasn't killed so soon.

- Firewalker was meant to be a combination of Romancing The Stone and Lethal Weapon, and what it is instead is a horrible mismash that wastes the talents of two fine performers - one, a great action movie star (Chuck Norris) who knows how to be charming without going the full fledged comendy route, and a great actor (Louis Gossett, Jr.)whose desire to star in a potential blockbuster may have overwhelmed his judgment.
In Firewalker, Norris and Gossett play two adventurers that end up on a quest for lost treasure, and run afoul of an evil spirit who doesn't want the treasure to be taken. That's as good (or in this case, as bad) as it gets. It's not fun, or particularly excting, and while it might have seemed like a good idea to give Norris a hand at comedy, it doesn't work.
Firewalker is quite missable. Both actors have made many other movies that are a lot more entertaining.
- Fun to watch, not the normal Chuck Norris film. One to watch overand over again.
- This movie has intentional humour but also unintentional humour and they exist side-by-side quite happily. The action and special effects aren't bad for their time, and it is refreshing to know none of it is made by computer.
The storyline is wonderfully cliched, you could pretty much use this movie as a template for all treasure-hunting movies!
- Chuck Norris and Louis Gosset are great in this film. chuck and Louis play old friends who love to find treasure. Max (Norris) and Leo (Gosset)are at a bar thinking about calling it quits on treasure hunting anymore when this woman (Melody Anderson)walks into the bar looking for two men who are not scared of anything and love a challenge. so this woman is pointed to Max and Leo and she tells them about a map that will lead to treasure and it is dangerous. so they go and the aventure starts. the come backs between the three is funny. enjoy.
- This is not a bad movie, i like it and the chemistry between Norris and Gosset are really fun to watch.
Of course, it's cheesy at times and the acting is not so good but that's what makes it fun.
I recommend it, as a fan of Chuck Norris this is a must have in the collection.
