  1. Bruce Lee as those who knew him remember him. He was a man evolving into his philosophy, living it but fighting the demons that fame and outrageous fortune bring. Unquestionably the supreme martial artist of all time, he had the vision to break through the barriers of crystalized thought and defy the rigid angularity of style. All things birthed new again take courage, and this man (and without fanfare, Linda his wife) had courage to spare.

  2. Learn about Lee the way close friends knew him. Lots of footage of the great master in action. Also, clip of a Brandon Lee interview. Learn about his life and untimely death.

  3. This movie has almost everything about Bruce Lee's Life, Very Interesting. I've had this video since 1993 and I've watched it alot of times and now I know a little about Bruce Lee and there's probably alot more than this movie has got. I like this movie and maybe you Bruce Lee fans will like it to. A must have.

  4. I bought this video actually from the locala store...It's a very good biography interviewinghis closest friends and family. It gives you a good idea of what type of person he is. Ummm, but the reason why it's not a 5 star rating according to my opinion is cuz it didn't realyl talk too much abotu his movies and not too much about his son, Brandon Lee...but besides that, i wouild havae given it a 5 star rating...a good biography i must say...

  5. I liked this documentary ok, it's interesting in places. 'Curse of the Dragon'is produced by Fred Weintraub, who made Bruce Lee's last and best movie 'Enter the Dragon'. It's written by Davis Miller, who wrote the book 'Tao of Bruce lee'. I read 'Tao of Bruce Lee' before buying 'Curse of the Dragon'. 'Tao of Bruce Lee' is much, much better than 'Curse of the Dragon'.

5 comments about Delta Force.
  1. After Entebbe's detent, the entire world could validate with stupor that horrible fact. Delta force, following the traces of that horrid experience, availed this occasion to carve in relief the death of ideologies had not dead. And so, these new "Dirty Dozen" risking their lives could rescue and neutralize this coward and abominable attempt.

The film is filled of action, and a well supported cast: But, despite of the big budget, the script has its holes (After all, Menahen Golan is not John Frankenheimer); on the other hand, the predictability of the end and a lack of depth about the surrounding circumstances around. Here we have to make a clear distinction respect Munich, for instance, in which the ideological conflict and the unstoppable action are not divorced.

But, in case you want to enjoy a kinetic film, here you have: the main ingredient.

  2. I have not seen this movie in a long time but if there is a movie that has action from beginning to end it has got to be The Delta Force. Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin are two no nonsense men that free a plane load of innocent passengers from a group of terrorists. Also in the cast is the late Joey Bishop who also did a wonderful performance. The movie's story line is as true as today's headlines. Action, energy and pure excitement..these words define The Delta Force!!

  3. The movie is good, has nice action scenes, the terrorists are bad but not as bad as the real ones (well this is a pre 9/11 movie) so I could give this movie 3 stars; however, the music is horrendous, it sound as a Saturday morning GI Joe cartoon. It makes you not to care for the characters because it reminds you that it's just all fictional and that the good guys are going to end up killing the bad guys and there is not tension in it. If this type of music wouldn't be in the movie, or even if there would be no music at all, it would be better. The director should have put this music only at the end credits, that's it. So because of this music, and being generous, I give this movie two stars.

Alan Sylvestri is a good composer but I think, this is one of his worst jobs.

  4. This movie could never have been released after 9/11. It actually shows Muslims as terrorists, instead of substituting in the politically correct "white neo-nazis". Even though 99% of actual terrorists are Muslim, and Muslims have forced us to turn our airports into armed camps, most Americans suffer from Islamophobia, a fear to speak out against Islam. This is a movie worth watching.

  5. It's one of the best war movies I've ever seen. It contains gripping and realistic actions. Chuck Norris and the main bad guy's acting are riveting. It's the best film of Chuck Norris too, I believe.

I've watched it five times over the years. I own it.

Other favorite war movies of mine are Saving Private Ryan, The Longest day, The Lost Battalion, Gods and Generals, Gettysburg, We Were Soldiers, Hamburger Hill.

  1. This show as far as action cartoons are concerned, hit all the right spots.

This show had pointless explosions? Check. Complete and utter disregard for continuity Chuck Norris riding a motorcycle one second, and suddenly appearing on the back of a truck without ever showing how he got there)? Check. Children constantly in peril? Check. Ninjas, ninjas, and more ninjas. Check.

All of this, and Mr. Norris' physique which in this cartoon is about twice as buff as the actual guy (which is clear because he spends most of the show shirtless, for some reason). Most of the action involves laser guns and falling steal beams. The funniest scene I remember is when Chuck Norris steals a bike from a little kid, and the kid gets upset.

At the beginning and end of every episode the real Chuck Norris is shown at the gym or martial arts studio and talk to the audience. It would usually be about the moral of todays episode teaching kids about life.

  1. Back In The Saddle Again is one of the all time greats when it comes to an Autry film. As usual Autry portrays the role of moral and ethical proportions. The plot is about something we are all familiar with. Pollution of rivers and streams due to copper mining. It has great action and a good moral value is displayed. Along with the wonderful acting and singing of America's Favorite Cowboy, you also have the comedy of Smiley Burnette at His best. They even give you a glimpse of Madison Square Gardens at the beginning of the movie. This, in my opinion could be an actual footage of the personal performance and rodeo's that Autry did when he was the first one to ever play to a sell out crowd at Madison Square Gardens. It also shows what modern film technology can do for these old westerns. I have it from a good source that this film was restored using 7 versions collected from across the country and they did a great job. So if you want to give you children and family something to watch that has plenty of western excitement and a good dose of morals let them watch this movie and they will find that "The Good Guy in the White Hat always wins"!

  2. We bought this, along with other English-language videos, so that our two young sons can keep up their English while attending German schools. After all (as I've observed), TV (not schools) is the reason that English is so widespread and better-spoken in Scandinavia than elsewhere in Europe. This video was played so often (consequently driving one of their older half-sisters nuts) that it should be worn out by now. Both boys soon could sing all the songs in it, in sequence. It was later succeeded in popularity by Melody Ranch. Some other recommendations: Popeye (cartoons and movie), Midway, Lonesome Dove, Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig, and, from the German side, Die Augsburger Puppinkist.

  3. The title speaks for it self

Special footnote, Orvon Gene Autry was an American performer who gained fame as The Singing Cowboy on the radio, in movies and on television --- Discovered by film producer Nat Levine in 1934, he and Burnette made their film debut for Mascot Pictures Corp. "In Old Santa Fe" as part of a singing cowboy quartet; he was then given the starring role by Levine in 1935 in the 12-part serial "The Phantom Empire" --- Shortly thereafter, Mascot was absorbed by the formation of Republic Pictures Corp. and Autry went along to make a further 44 films up to 1940, all B westerns in which he played under his own name, rode his horse Champion, had Burnette as his regular sidekick and had many opportunities to sing in each film --- Autry became the top Western star at the box-office by 1937, reaching his national peak of popularity from 1940 to 1942. Second special footnote, Lester Alvin (Smiley) Burnette an American singer-songwriter who could play as many as 100 different musical instruments, was a successful comedy actor in Western films over three decades --- The popularity of Burnette's Frog Millhouse character, with his trademark floppy black hat, was such that when Autry left for World War II service he did sidekicks duties with Eddie Dew, Sunset Carson and Bob Livingston, plus nine other films with Roy Rogers. After leaving Republic Pictures in 1944, Burnette became the sidekick to Charles Starrett at Columbia Pictures in the long Durango Kid series. Starrett starred in the series from 1944 until 1952, and that pairing resulted in more than 50 films. 5 comments about Happy Birthday Bugs: 50 Looney Years.
  1. I bought this video last year, and I love it! It's silly, yes, but I enjoy silly stuff! This special, although made in 1990, still counts as something from the 80s in my view, and I love the 80s! Now if only I could get my hand on some uncensored Looney Tunes, then I'd be in business!

  2. Buy this,Lt and MM fans. It spans Bugs' 50th aniversary in 1990 with short clips from Bugs' entire carrier. Also contains interviews with 80s celebrities, also with classic Looney Tunes animators like Robert McKimson,Chuck Jones,Friz Freling(Tex Avery died in 1980.)It also contains tributes with Daffy Duck,Marvin the Martian,Tazmainaian Devil,Speedy Gonzales,Sniffles the Mouse,Mary Jane,The French Chefs(you know their names),Blaque Jacque Shaque(he spoke French, starred in some cartoons and also was the robber of WB),Porky Pig,Elmer Fudd,Wile E. Coyote, the Road Runner, and more LT,MM and WB characters.Although today we're celebratin'Bugs 61th aniversary from 1940 to 2001 and Looney Tunes 71th aniversary from 1930 to 2001.Although this special was produced in 1990,it reminds me of a little somethin'from the 1980s.Those things are Tex Averys Death and Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was the best tv series of all time.Wanna know why?It was adventure.I'm a big fan of adventure.Wanna know the best part? The songs. The songs were the best part because they revise all the hits you know and love from artists like the Carpenders,Jerry Lee Lewis,Elvis Presley,The Supremes, and many others. So,if you wanna celebrate Bugs'1990 birthday, you gotta buy this world renound TV special on home video! This is for LT,MM,and WB freaks, nerds, maniacs, fans, etc.

  3. I should have listened to the last viewer of this video. I love Bugs Bunny cartoons also, and these very short clips of Bug's were a tease. There were nothing but celebrities talking about the bunny's career, and how his crazy antics made so many people happy. I couldn't believe how bored I was, watching what was supposed to be a cartoon segment of laughes. The viewer was right, don't waste your time in purchasing this video; look for the Bugs Bunny and friends videos for your entertainment.

  4. while i agree that this video isn't for people wanting full-length Bugs Bunny cartoons (check the other Amazon video "Bugs Bunny Super-Star" for such a thing), i disagree that because snipets of cartoons are shown here and there that it's totally boring! apparently some of the people weren't amused at the wacky protests from Daffy Duck and the hilariously straight performance from Joe Garagiola reporting on the protests! the video was a "mock-u-mentary" with a few serious yet brief commentaries from Friz Freleng, Chuck Jones, and the great Mel Blanc. Milton Berle's appearance in the special basically stole the show from the other celebrities paying homage to Bugs as if the bunny were real!! a running joke was the camera switching over to Daffy Duck in his home fuming over all the attention Bugs is getting. i give the video 4 stars because the short spots with Freleng, Jones, and Blanc could've been way longer than they were. the show originally aired on commercial TV as an hour program. the video is 43 minutes long...meaning that 15 minutes or so were ate up with commercials back in 1990 when it aired on TV. it's a cute little video so be warned of that now...this video is NOT for the type of people who are too serious and can't enjoy a little harmless silliness once in a while from some of the top celebrities of the era.

  5. With the Looney Tunes DVD sets containing a number of TV specials ranging from original cartoons to anniversary celebrations, there is a possibility that this might show up on a future volume. If it does, focus on the quality theatrical cartoons instead of attempting to slog through this non-stop fluff piece that is so outdated, it makes Samurai Pizza Cats seem culturally relevant. In simpler words: don't watch it.

No Looney Tune or Merrie Melodie cartoon, not even any of the Censored Eleven, has dated as badly as this. This is fluff, whole fluff and nothing but fluff. How, you ask? Simple: it's another one of those specials that features celebrities talking about Bugs, and references to talk shows that millions of idiots watched in 1990, but have now turned to tripe like CSI and American Idol. Want to see Mary Hart of ET report Bugs' fictional life story? Followed by a fake Geraldo episode titled "Anvil Accidents... or ARE They?" How about Pierce Brosnan, before he was Bond and when he had a moustache, telling us Bugs is a "true romantic that no other human male could ever hope to compete with" (and you thought Bond was a sex maniac)?

Wait, it gets better. Jane Seymour indirectly admits she goes moist for Bugs (eww). Fred Savage (oh, what a sad story he is) admits he had a Bugs Bunny lunch box and "it was.... real neat. You know." Chuck Norris (yes, THAT Chuck Norris) calls Bugs "tough" simply because he's in a good mood. Dr. Ruth (remember her? Thought not) tells us that Bugs "has always been comfortable with his sexuality". Yikes. William Shatner pauses in mid-sentence, and Bill Cosby acts crazy and rambles about pudding pops. All while praising Bugs, of course. Whoopi Goldberg appears and gives a tribute to the then-recently deceased Mel Blanc (you gotta wonder if he is spinning in his grave over this special), which is the only part of this wretched thing that isn't fluff. Obligatory Wheel of Fortune reference, and... and...

I can't take it anymore. Just don't watch this if you appreciate Looney Tunes as much as I do. One website posted a review of this special, with the comment that it would probably never be released in a Golden Collection DVD, because "it's brainless and as dated as year-old milk." But hey, they included the Lorne Michaels-produced All-Star 50th Anniversary special on Volume 2. So you never know...

  1. It's easy to see why this is a cult classic. There is somthing about it that is historical, yet still has something to say about today.

  2. Don't buy this movie it does not have alot of action in it and has no plot at all.

  3. If you like deep character development, Oscar-winning performances and gripping drama, then look elsewhere.
Good Guys Wear Black is an early Chuck Norris as an ex-Special Forces commando left stranded with his unit in Vietnam. About six years later, he's resurfaced in the U.S., but all his comrades are being killed off. It's up to Norris to find out why, before he's next.
A little slow for a Norris film, but still a great ton of fun.

  4. I was completely deceived with this movie. I thought it was going to be another Norris-cop film, being that Chuck's wearing official cop shades on the cover. Then I thought I was watching Missing In Action, because the plot seemed to be similar...at least in the beginning. It turned out to be just another Norris film with no real highlights in it.

    My complaints are as follows:
    - the opening credits were horrid!! It was some new technology that Hollywood was playing around with using psychedelic colors and blurred-digital graphics. The song was ear-bleeding and nauseating. I just skipped it.
    - The acting was as expected for such a film. The fight scenes were just lame and could have been done better with Tiger Showman-style karate, not the great martial arts we expect from Norris.
    - The scene where Norris goes head-on with a speeding car was just ridiculous, especially after it was over and Chuck's just hanging out of the windshield looking like, "okay, now what?"
    - There's no way they'd let anyone (even in the 70's) just bring a suitcase with a bomb on a plane. That part just ruined the movie for me and almost caused me to rip the disc from my player.

I do have to admit that the girl in the movie (Anne Archer) was smoking hot and there's no way she'd be in bed with Chia-Pet Chuck. I was hoping for a flash of flesh but was disappointed. The plot wasn't horrible, but could have been a bit better. Also the ending was great as I was wondering how Norris was going to clean up the mess that had been created.

Really not a bad movie, but I was expecting something more from Mr. Norris. Perhaps I'll have to check out his Missing in Action Collection (1, 2 & 3) series. This film could have been a great prequel for that.

  5. In this 1977 film, Chuck Norris is John T. Booker. When this name is presented you almost think that Norris' character is going to have special powers. Well I guess he does, right? Pardon my deviation, in this movie Chuck Norris plays a C.I.A/military mercenary now political science professor/amateur race car driver. However when a reporter, played by a young Anne Archer, comes to bring some skeletons out of John T. Booker's closet, the madness begins.

John T. Booker was part of a special unit called The Black Tigers. Their last mission was to save some M.I.A. soldiers in Vietnam. Consequently the mission didn't go as planned and many of The Black Tigers were killed. Now Anne Archer's character is asking John T. Booker if he feels he and his team were set up when this mission transpired five years prior.

I am not going to rehash the entire plot; if you are a fan of Norris you have already seen this movie, planning on seeing this movie or will just see it because Chuck is in it. I have seen many of Chuck Norris' films and this one isn't his best. In contrast it isn't awful either. As a matter of fact, this movie almost has a James Bond/24 feel to it (feel doesn't mean like or better). This is manly due to all the political intrigue and mystery woven into the storyline. As for the action it is there, yet it isn't saturated throughout the movie. This might created the perception of a boring or slow paced flick. I felt it was a good balance. I love the jump kick + moving car = this is why I have the DVD.

This move does have some bad special effects, poor acting and dubious events in plot. I found these deficits to prove charm (others might not). The one thing this movie has got going for itself is the time capsule it has put on the 1970s, the fashion, gender roles, soundtrack, special effects and house wares. Look at the tile and shower curtain in John T. Booker's bathroom and you'll know what I am talking about.

Overall a cult classic served with a bit of cheese. Again this isn't a great film, but does have some merit in the John T. Booker...I mean Chuck Norris catalog. The DVD provides a nice picture, chapter selection and actor biographies. As for the title of the movie, Chuck Norris/John T. Booker only wears black for ten minutes in this entire film, go figure.
