- Anolon just gives the consumer great value...as does Amazon! We now have a larger than complete set of various Analong cookware, and it is easily suyperior to many other lesser and even more expensive products. The cleanup is exceptionally easy, the finish is handsome and durable, and the lids fit quite well. I was afraid that this might prove to small a capacity for most of the pasta that we prepare, having replaced a larger aluminum/copper 8 quart stock pot. Well, it does just fine, and is easier to handle, although be prepared to use pot holders on the handles, as they get rather warmish when boiling pasta or potatoes.
Also, a very minor note of consideration, one should be careful about moving or rotating the pot (or Anolong skillets) on the burner surfaces, if your stove has the metal or ceramic burner assemblies that might scratch or damage the outer finish on the bottom of the pot. The bottom is relatively "uncoated" of the protective finish.
We have been astonished by the improvement in the non-stick coating technology used with this product, and make no mistake, it is far better than many competing products that claim to use new anodized non-stick coatings -- all are not equal! We also learned that the claim that this coating will withstand metal implements is true -- my daughter made mashed potatoes, and used a metal potato masher and mashed to spuds in the stock pot!!!! I got a bit miffed, reminder her to use the plastic products, and even bought a new more comfortable wide handled plastic potato masher designed for non-stick coatings--just in case. However, the upshot of this is that the pot was totally unscathed! I would not use metal implements routinely, but clearly, damaging this surface is not easy to do.
Finally, unlike many other professional cooking sets, the Anolon is not excessively heavy. It is not as light as non-pro products, but the design really strikes a perfect balance between industrial heavy-weights and too-light (flimsy) non-commercial or home style cookware -- like those that come in the bargain starter sets.
Analon is not "cheap" is built to last years, and is a bargain for the quality, design and joy of use. The skillets and grilling pans elicit oohs and ahs from us every time we prepare eggs, omelets, chicken or other sticky entres...because the clean-up is so effortless, the cooking temperature is so consistent (no hotspots or deadspots!) and the results are truly gourmet. This stock pot is now a favorite item and stays on the stove most of the time. We will never go back to inferior "half-baked" cookware!
- If you need a smaller stock/soup pot, you just can not go wrong with this one. I have plenty of large stockpots and needed a smaller one. This is perfect, quality is great, it looks like it will last for ever (and I am not one to be careful with my cookware). I highly recommend it.
- I love analon but as I stated in my 8" pan review this too is a lot small than I thought it would be.

- Ideal size for large batches of soup/sauce and small batches of pasta or rice. Functional choice for a small apartment kitchen, if a large stock pot won't be needed and storage is an issue (would have been handy when I lived in a NYC studio). I'm a big fan of this product line (see other reviews).
- This pot is the perfect size for making soup. I love Anolon Titanium cookware. The food cooks nicely in it, does not stick and it is easily washed. They are a bit heavier so you know they are going to last you a long time. My one complaint is that the handles on the lid don't stay cool, so you must use an oven mitt. But otherwise I love all my Anolon Titanium cookware!

- This is a wonderful stockpot! It is very heavyweight & I love the fact that the handles are set farther "away" from the pot so I don't burn myself. My sister had one that I had borrowed & by the time I was done using hers, I was ordering my own! I have a glasstop stove & never have a problem with this pot...it has an extremely flat heavy bottom on it. I make lots of soups & never have burned them in this pot. I would recommend this item to anyone.
- I paid $59 on Jan 29, 2008. Now it's $84? What's going on? Any way very nice pot. Feels and looks good. I was using it to cook 4 pounds of pasta which it did easily.
- This is a very well built, heavy stock pot, as well as very nice looking. It's made of beautiful shiny stainless steel with a thick bottom pad. It is a terrific value, very much worth it's cost. We are so pleased that we are going to order the same pot in the 12 quart size. It was a great purchase!
- Excellent quality and size for brewing your own beer.I needed a pot to boil 2 gallons of water without boiling over. This pot is just what I needed to start making my own beer.
- I love this stockpot. It has a nice heavy-duty bottom, so food doesn't burn. The offset handles don't get hot. Great pot for the money.

- The pot a perfect size for soups and stews. I even fry with it, and the high sides help prevent the oil from spattering on the stove. Good heat distribution, easy to clean.

- These are sturdy pans, nothing sticks in them and they are easy to clean up. They are expensive, but well worth the money.
- Great item and easy to clean. Well made and looks good. What more can I say?
- This product was purchased to match previous pieces in a set. I love the size of the stock pot
- Solved my problem for making soup for 20 people or more.easy to use ,easy to clean.!!!!!!
- My wife and I received the pans in this set for our wedding over 3 years ago. They have been excellent despite very heavy use from us. The non-stick still doesn't stick and there is almost no discoloration. They are very easy to clean because the entire pan is non-stick, not just the inside. The silicon on the handle does an excellent job of protecting your hand from being burnt even at high temperatures.
The only problem we've had is that on a few of the pans the silicon part of the handle came loose. I submitted a request to their customer service department on the web and had brand new pans within a week at no cost to me.

- I use this pot every day. Besides using it for pasta and soups, it's also just the right size for me to cook up a large batch of fried rice. Works just as well as a wok. I don't know how I ever lived without it.
- I have had this pot over a year now and have used it for roasting, stewing... well basically you name it i used it. It cooks great, its roomy, cleans up well, BUT, i am on my second pan because the first one had a problem with the rim. It warped! After a couple of months use i noticed that the lid did not stay on, i would push it down but it popped up again. With the naked eye i couldnt detect a shape change but obviously it had occured. I contacted Amazon with my concern and they graciously replaced the item without any delay. The second one has not developed this problem in a year of use but i thought i should relay my experience. Incidently i picked up this pot when it was on sale for $17.99 so it does drop down quite dramatically so add it to your 'saved for later' items and pick it up when the price drops below $30.
- Nice pot if you can get it at the right price. I wouldn't pay $75 for it though.
- Is it possible for a pan to be too good? I used this to make fudge, and while we were scraping the fudge out of other pans, it literally balled up and rolled out of this pan (which made stirring difficult). I waited for a discount on this pan, but it might actually be worth the full price. This is one of the best pots I've cooked with due to its ease of cleaning.
- I got this to give it as a gift to a friend. But when it came in, there were 2 things that surprised me - Like another reviewer had mentioned, this came with a sticker saying "Thanks for buying $300 worth Analon Products". The same sticker was also stuck to the pot. Also the pacaking was damaged(the packaging was torn, and the shipment was not even taped right) I have been buying things with amazon for a really long time and I this is my first bad experience.
But hey the pot is good - and is great for bulk cooking. I havent used it yet to comment on it, but it sure does come close in terms of weight and feel to my Professional Calphalon set that I use currently.
So if you want to gift this to some one, this one is not an option.
