  1. I really enjoy this Stock pot , it cleans nicely and cooks my soups with ease .

Good quality Stainless Steel body and strong Handles.

It is manufactured to be from the better class of kitchenware ,

    I highly recommend this pot.

  2. The product is of decent build quality, but no greater than Calphalon. I have a large collection of Calphalon product (aluminum and stainless). I perfer their product because ergonomically it just feels better and they stand behind their warranty. I had a problem with the first Allclad piece I bought and Allclad wouldn't stand behind their warranty. They suggested I talk to the retailer about taking it back. With Calphalon I send the piece in and they send me a new one. I'm not going to spend a premium on cookware if the company won't stand behind it. I don't care what country the product is made in, I want a quality product that you are willing to stand behind.

  3. This is my first All-Clad product, the stuff's not cheap! This is a great pot for the money. It is a large, sturdy pot and can get heavy, even half full it's a load. The steamer basket is very nice and it cleans up very easy. If you're bothering to read this, just buy it.

  4. It's a very nice pot, and well worth the price IF you don't have an induction cooktop. Although the description clearly states it's magnetic stainless, it's not. All of my cookware is All-Clad, and I love them, but they need to be a little more clear (or honest?) about this one.. it's not made by All-Clad, it's made in China, and it's not usable on an induction cooktop, unlike all their other stainless cookware.

  5. Despite what the description says, this cookware will not work with an induction cooktop. I was quite excited when the package arrived; the item appeared to be well built and was quite heavy. But when I placed a magnet to the bottom of the pot, it did not stick. It appears that Amazon has an incorrect discription of the item. All-clad is famous for their induction cookware, and one doesn't need a top of the line pot to boil water - but it does need to hold a magnet if it's going to work with an induction cooktop. I didn't know how many starts to rate this item. For a gas or conventional electric cooktop, I would give it at least four stars, but for induction, it is really zero stars.

5 comments about All-Clad 99009 Stainless-Steel 6-1/2-Quart Slow Cooker.

  1. This is the Mercedes of crockpots! Even cooking, NO BURNING, made well, beautiful to look at, delivers yummy meals exactly the way you want them. In the year I've had this appliance it has performed above and beyond any crockpot I have owned (about four). I chose not to purchase the one with the metal insert. I brown/braise foods in another pot and transfer them to the crockpot.

The only fault so far has been that two of the four rubber feet have fallen off but customer service has been most cooperative.

Hopefully this will be my final crockpot. I LOVE IT!

  2. I have been using my new All-Clad slow cooker for about 2 months now and it is by far the best slow cooker I have ever had. When cooking on low it really cooks on low. I have tryed several others all of which would cook the food to death by the end of the day. Not this one the food is perfect every time. I also like the way is switches to keep warm at the end of your preset cooking time and keeps the food just right for eating.
    Joe Craft II

  3. As a child of the 60s, I grew up with pots of pintos simmering in the crock pot. I still have and love my old cobalt blue Rival, but I wanted something bigger and something that had a timer. I purchased the "updated" Rival with the time settings. After one year, the handle simply melted. Thank goodness Costco has a generous return policy.

After researching for a couple weeks, I zoomed in on the All-Clad stainless steel. I've had her for a month now, and I do believe this is the crock pot I've always wanted. Why you may ask?

    1) The 6 1/2 quart is big enough to put in both beef and pork ribs for slow cooked "in a pinch" pulled pork, carnitas and ribs.

    2) I love the rubberized edge around the cooker insert. It keeps the seal strong, and cuts down on the possibility of accidentally wapping the glass top and cracking it.

    3) She cooks my favorite gourmet beans from elranchogordo. com and keeps them WHOLE even if I cook them for ten hours due to a long work day.

    4) The timer will switch to warm after the programmed time is finished.

    5) The handle is riveted on (not plastic), so I don't worry about the melting fiasco of the Rival.

    6) The crock pot is sleek looking, and really looks beautiful in the kitchen.

    7) I LOVE the smell of slow cooked food after I come home for a hard day teaching 8th graders.

    You won't be disappointed.

  4. After reading other reviews, I opted for the aluminum insert version of this product, which is a Williams Sonoma exclusive. I've never owned a slow cooker before so don't have anything to compare this to, but it's wonderful so far. Because it's aluminum, I can saute in the inner bowl right on the stove without having to wash another pan. I'm a vegetarian and often add frozen products towards the end of the cooking time (Morningstar Farms veg. steak strips, etc.), and don't have to worry about the temperature change cracking the pan. Clean up is a breeze. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the price - $250 is pretty steep, and with shipping and taxes from WS, the total price was closer to $300.

  5. I just started cooking with a slow cooker and was so pleased with the convenience of leaving for work in the morning and coming home to a cooked meal. Unfortunately I went for top of the line. My mistake as there isn't that much difference between All Clad and the slow cookers that have similar features. Save your money, it doesn't do anything different. When looking for a crock pot also think about the size, I found the 6.5 quart slow cooker to be very heavy and awkward when trying to wash it/rinse it out. Disappointing with All Clad was the lid cover. It becomes so hot you can't pick it up without grabbing a pot holder. My old slow cooker's (the one that started it all -$25) lid I could always pick up during the cooking process without burning my fingers. And lastly I too was disappointed that All Clad didn't include a slow cooker cookbook, it has a couple of recipes with their instructions, nothing too interesting.

5 comments about All-Clad Panini Pan with Press.

  1. I got this pan for free b/c I bought so much All-Clad. I love the rest of it, but this pan has brought me nothing but trouble. I do agree the sides are a little short. I also think it is awkward to hold and move around. Also, it says non-stick, but if you keep reading it says you need to use a little oil. Frankly, I think they give it away for a reason.

  2. A must have for any kitchen. A beautiful pan that will last for years. Makes beautiful sandwiches. Highly recommended.

  3. i bought this pan for like 59 dollars on a promotional special price. i would not pay more for it. the pan is well constructed in true all clad fashion. i think i would rather have higher sides, b/c when a fat sandwich is in the pan and the press is on top, the press wobbles and i don't feel safe leaving it unattended. also, it says to preheat the press, which is nice and heavy, on another burner and after trying several temps and times of preheating, it never seemed to give the crust that desireable golden brown. its easier to flip the sandwich after pressing it.
i think i would like the mario batali one better, because the enamel is more pleasing to the eye than the black nonstick look of the all clad, and also b/c the sides are higher.
all in all, it does the job; but for all clad, i expected perfection, i suppose.

  4. I have nothing but praise for this pan. I have been using it 4-5 times per week since I purchased it.

The pan heats quickly and evenly and gives that perfect grilled crust to everything I have tried. It did take some practice to get the temperature and timing down - I heat the press on another burner at 9/10 and the pan at about a 4/10. That gives me the perfect browning to both sides while also allowing enough time for the sandwich to get hot throughout. All Clad gives some advice on timing and procedure, but I think my system works better. Be aware, the handle of the pan stays cool but the press handle can get hot.

The listing does not say, but the press is cast iron and quite heavy. Cleanup of the press and pan is easy. The non-stick of the pan works well and the cast iron cleans up easily (I always butter or oil what I am grilling, so ymmv).

I now get perfect sandwiches every time, and never have to worry about all the things that can go wrong with an electric panini press. I am sure this pan will give me many years of great service.

  5. This pan will not disappoint; it's the real thing! The press weighs as least twice as much as the pan--which is hard to find these days. I originally purchased to grill sliced panini rolls, but now use this wonderful pan to grill almost everything from steaks to vegetables. The press is heavy and works; only draw back to this is when it's hot, it's sometimes difficult to hold on to in the air or locate the right spot to rest the press when you have to flip, garnish and/or move around what ever you're grilling.

5 comments about All-Clad Round Crepe Pan.

  1. Well balanced, unlike some other pans whose handles are too heavy or long. This nonstick finish works perfectly every time. A good piece to invest in for your kitchen.

  2. I bought this pan as a gift for a true French woman to replace her well- worn, old warped pan that she brought with her from France. She is raving about this one! Although much heavier then her last, it is very easy to flip the crepes & the non-stick surface is requiring less butter. The perfectly flat surface is allowing for thinner, lighter crepes that are evenly cooked. She claims she has never made such good crepes!

  3. I haven't had a chance to try crepes with this pan yet, but couldn't hold in my good review any longer. I have used this pan mostly for pancakes and eggs, but even dared to use it with greasy bacon. Clean-up was a cinch in all cases, and it took no scrubbing or soaking at all.

  4. I like this pan, I have used it much like a griddle. The sides aren't high, so it is easy to get under whatever you need to flip. The sides allow a free flowing batter to not fall off like many griddles. The pan has a good weight to it and is able to retain it's heat well.

I gave this 4 stars because I thought all All Clad was made in the USA. This is made in China, probably along with the Emeril-ware, so I'm not sure if the quality will be as good or will hold up as long as I was expecting. Otherwise, it is a nice pan.

  5. The crepe pan made making crepes a breeze. The crepes just slide out of the pan making almost impossible to mess them up. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

5 comments about All-Clad 3-Piece Canister Storage Set.

  1. This is a set of 3 stainless steel canisters with glass lids and silicone seals. Although All-Clad is an American company, this product has been outsourced to China, and the set comes in a box that is clearly labeled "Made in China." Thus, if you're considering paying a premium for a Made in America product, this is not at all what you want. The canisters are made of decent quality stainless steel, and collect finger marks accordingly. The lids are tight fitting, so tight, in fact, that they cannot be simply pulled off by tugging on the handles. Instead, you need to pry them off by wedging something between the lid and canister. If you use fingernails, you'll probably break a few. If you use anything harder, you'll probably damage the lid. The first set I received of these canisters had a badly dented lid, which was no longer round but puckered into a wedge. I had to send the set back. I just noticed that one of the lids on the replacement set has a small dent on the edge, but I'm not willing to wait the 6 weeks it takes to get yet another replacement set through the mail. In sum, this product does not live up to All-Clad quality, and you've got to be pretty determined to have an All-Clad kitchen if you're willing to pay a premium for such a difficult to use, substandard product.

  2. These canisters are absolutely top of the line. Beautiful and practical! A bit pricy, but they should last a lifetiime (assuming replacement seals remain available), and I can't imagine growing tired of them.

  3. The Good: heavy duty, large enough for 5 pounds of flour and more, very tight seal on lids, see-through lids, attractive, clean lines.

The Bad: hard to get open because of the tight seal. If you are weak and frail, you may want to reconsider these canisters.

The Ugly: lots of fingerprints are left, have to clean-up more after using to keep looking nice.

  4. It's difficult to find a canister set that is airtight and also large enough. I think I've searched my whole life for that perfect set. THIS ONE IS IT!!! Honestly, I wanted the Calphalon set because it would match my cookware and I thought the brushed finish would be easier to keep clean but I bought this set because of the size and I am so happy I did! The smallest canister holds an entire 5 lb bag of sugar, and I use the other two for all-purpose flour and bread flour, and yes, they hold the entire bag! They are gorgeous and not at all difficult to keep clean. I spent a lot of time researching canister sets and you can't go wrong with this one!!! You will love it!!!

  5. These canisters are gorgeous. Very sturdy and the lids fit tightly. Highly recommended. Large sizes too.

4 comments about All-Clad Nonstick Roasting Rack.

  1. This is a great roasting rack, however, I bought it to go in my All-Clad small roasting pan and it doesn't fit. All-Clad makes a set that you can buy. Unfortunately, I purchased my pan many years ago.

  2. I bought the All-Clad Roasting Rack and used it in a $40.00 roaster (not the All-Clad!!) It was a great investment. I got all the non-stick advantages but did not have to pay the exorbitant cost of the roaster. I have tried it once so far...and it worked great. Well-worth the investment.

  3. This rack came with my brand new All Clad roasting pan. I was hesitent at first because the majority of the ones I see are rather poorly made and look like they will collapse while the turkey is cooking, not to mention a royal pain to clean up. This rack is so sturdy! It is one piece so you don't have to worry about it collapsing, also the non stick on it is truly wonderful, it cleaned right up in no time. I will now faithfully use this rack.

  4. I love this rack. I use it in the stainless roti pan. It's great for your holiday turkey or roast. It keeps the meat out of the drippings and lets it cook on all sides. Clean up is quick and easy and makes life a little easier at holiday time.

5 comments about All-Clad Stainless Asparagus Pot with Steamer Basket.

  1. This is a great product at a great price, but don't confuse it with the three-ply All Clad Stainless line. This cooker has the aluminum disk attached to the bottom of the pot like their multi-cooker and the large stock pots, not aluminum sandwiched between two sheets of stainless. It is made in China, not the US. Of course if it was the standard stainless line it would cost a couple of hundred dollars.

As far as cooking, I love it for cooking asparagus, broccoli crowns, corn or steaming small quantities of just about anything. We like ours so much that we have been giving them to our friends for gifts.

  2. As with all the All-Clad quality cookware, its heavy duty and will outlast the chef. If you can save up for this line of cookware, you will not be disappointed. Comes to a boil fast with less heat, stays hot and cleans-up well. Well worth the price; this is the last pot you will buy.

  3. Asparagus pots in general are great. However, I found this pot by googling "asparagus pot induction cooking" and the descriptor confirmed that it should be induction-ready. It isn't. The bottom is aluminum, not stainless, and therefore not magnetic. I have to return mine, so I'm just trying to save others this hassle.

  4. This is an excellent product for steaming asparagrus or boiling fresh corn on the cob. I highly recommend it.

  5. Cooking asparagus is a pain, since few pots in our (otherwise well-equipped) household can handle it. Either you lie down the asparagus in a frypan, which means you can't fit more than about a pound at a time; or you use a pot that's entirely too big, and it takes 20 minutes for the water to come to a boil. And in both those cases, the asparagus can cook unevenly.

I'd wanted an asparagus pot for years, but somehow could never bring myself to purchase one. Who needs another single-purpose item? Just how much asparagus do I think I'm going to eat? Yet, as others have pointed out, this is less a one-item pot than it initially seems. It'll be perfect for a couple of ears of corn on the cob, for hard-boiling eggs, and for steaming a few artichokes.

When I finally had the excuse to buy an aspargus pot (okay, it was part of a Halloween costume -- stick a bottle of port in the pot and carry it around: port-a-potty, get it?), I took the opportunity to do some shopping. I think I looked at a half dozen of these in a couple of stores. I looked at a few of the pots that cost about half the price, and immediately rejected them. Sure, this isn't something I expect to use all the time, but they were... not flimsy exactly, but definitely not sturdy. The less expensive model had a glass lid, which I don't trust.

And, surprisingly, once you get past the "cheap" model, there's not much difference in price between the various pots. Sitting next to this All-Clad on the shelf was a pot that cost $5 less. It didn't have the bolted-on construction; its squishy handles were comfortable, but I didn't expect they'd stay that way over time. For the five bucks, I went with a brand I knew.

After the bottle of port was removed from the post-Halloween festivities (and, since that's where I got cheap, the port allocated to pear-poaching duty), I tested the asparagus pot on a bundle of white asparagus I'd gotten from the local gourmet market. As Schneider says in From Amaranth to Zucchini, the quality of asparagus in the US isn't nearly as good as what you'll find in Europe, and it should be boiled rather than steamed. It took only 3 minutes to cook in my new asparagus pot, and was indeed perfectly cooked (if, indeed, not as good as the European stuff). You lift it out (though I'll warn you to have something in which to set the basket, as there was a moment of "NOW where do I put it?!") and you don't have to worry about tongs or other awkward implments for moving the veggie around.

One of the disadvantages with the frypan or big steamer method was that cooking asparagus took over the stove. This pot consumes very little real estate. My ownership of this pot will probably put green asparagus back on the menu!

This isn't the sort of item that one _must_ have. But I'm really glad I own it.

3 comments about All-Clad Pizza Baker/Stone.

  1. This pizza cooker is super heavy but super excellent. It does not give off any oders when heated up and is easy to clean.

  2. This stone is very functional -- works well and goes from oven to table because of its beauty. If you've never cooked on stone before, prepare to be amazed. It's a must for bread baking to develop a nice bottom crust. I also use the stone for baking French fries and other stuff. Just put the pan directly on the stone and your food will be done faster.

With use your stone will discolor. This happens with any stone. You also should not wash any stone with soap. Use hot water and a plastic scraper to clean. This is the only All Clad product I have that I can't get the stainless to sparkle like new. I think it's because I left it in the oven so much.

The pizza cutter that comes with this is the best I've ever used.

Because of its size, this product is great as a bake-and-serve/occasional baking stone. If you bake a ton, I suggest getting a larger stone and just leaving it the oven all the time.

  3. I have made pizza at home for years, tried regular old aluminum cookie sheets, clay pizza stones and now finally this All Clad soapstone. It is far and away superior to any other way of cooking pizza at home. The stainless steel holder provides for easy transport in and out of the oven as everyone clamors to make the next pizza. This is a huge asset as these pizza stones are heavy and unwieldy. The hot stone gives you a crisp bottom and thoroughly cooked crust (ever get a raw in the middle job? Yuck!). Highly recommended.

  1. Another beautiful, useful item from All-Clad. Very sturdy and very large so can handle most anything you need to drain. Also looks great. No complaints.

5 comments about All-Clad Stainless Mixing Bowl Set.

  1. Taking a "You only live once view . . .", I decided to retire my 40 year old set of bowls and splurge on All Clad. I wanted to compare them with the Cuisinart set of 4 w/lids for less, but couldn't find any in the stores with which to compare. The bowls arrived earlier than expected in perfect condition in a factory box, and they are things of beauty, and feel more like tools than bowls. . . perfectly weighted, beautifully polished, and comfortable in the hands. They should last forever. The bowls are an equal in quality to All Clad cookware, IMHO.

  2. Beautiful bowls in a wonderful array of sizes. I love the handles. So many of the mixing bowls do not have handles and these are sized to make them very useful and easy to handle. A lifetime investment.

  3. IT,S THE ONLY DISSAPOINTMENT I HAVE. THOU THEY ARE EVERYTHING THE OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVE SAID AND THEN SOME!!!! THE 7 QUART IS NEXT!!!! OVERALL BEING MADE IN CHINA THE PRICE COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CHEAPER. I LIKE THEM JUST THE SAME.

  4. I am very pleased with my new Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set.
It is easy to clean, easy to use and looks great too. It does an especially nice job with whipping cream and dough ... the SS gets nice and cold in the freezer.

  5. The design is perfect. Although you want the bowl to be stable on the counter, the rounder the inside of the bowl the better, And the nearly round bottom is important because then the bowl and the whisk share the same profile enabling the whisk to do its job easily and well. These bowls also make good hats.
