  1. I LOVE this pan! It's made of nice, thick, quality silicone, and it makes the cutest star-shaped muffins! It's AWESOME, and really easy to work with. There's no need to buy any more paper liners for muffins or cupcakes!

It's dishwasher safe, and I love how I don't have to worry about rust, which was a constant problem with my metal muffin tins. Also, they're super-flexible, so you can bend them any which way to store them, or to fit them into the dishwasher, and they always retain their sweet little star form afterwards.

Finally, a couple tips for silicone baking:

    1. ALWAYS spray the cups with non-stick cooking spray before filling them with batter. I use the butter-flavored Mazola spray. Just so you know, and you don't freak out when you see it, the pan gets discolored on the top from the baked-on cooking spray that didn't land into the cups. Don't worry, they're not ruined. It's normal.

    2. Make sure you bake your food for several minutes LESS than called for on your recipe. I learned that the hard way. Food baked in silicone bakes faster. I wound up with plenty of burned muffins. :( For example, I make muffins in this pan on a regular basis, which are supposed to bake 16-21 minutes. I usually bake them about 13-14 minutes, and they're perfect, golden brown.

Another fantastic Wilton product! You won't regret buying this!

  1. I bought this product for a birthday cake, and followed the directions carefully. The cake stuck to the pan much worse than it would have in my metal pans, and came out in pieces. Of course, once it was crumbly, it was impossible to frost neatly, so the cake looked terrible. This pan definitely wasn't worth the cost.

  1. Very frustrated with this pan. I have used a variety of Wilton cake pans very successfully. Not this one. I tried it with a pound cake (recommended by manufacturer) from scratch and a regular cake from scratch. The pound cake made heavy cakes that were not really edible. The regular cake was too flimsy and airy. The shapes, in my opinion, are not deep enough to make it work. If you didn't have enough batter they were too thin. If they overflowed, it was difficult to trim and make work. I ended up making cake shaped cookies.

  1. My kids love muffins for breakfast but I hated making them. Those awful metal pans -- so difficult to clean and to store. I went looking for a solution, and already being a fan of Wilton, I decided to give their silicone line a try.

I've been very happy with all the silicone products from Wilton. This particular mold makes perfect little flower muffins every time. The molds clean-up extremely easily, and have retained their shape perfectly. The muffins taste just the same as with the metal pans and look far better since they just pop right out of the mold leaving lovely golden sides all around.

Unlike the other reviewer, I find that I need to cook my muffins for longer than usual. This may be because I cook multiple molds at a time and also place them all on a large cookie sheet (not required but I like the ease of getting them in/out all together). Just takes a few minutes longer. With any new recipe, I just keep an eye on them towards the end.

  2. I LOVE this pan/mold! It's made of nice, thick, quality silicone, and it makes the cutest flower-shaped muffins!!

I am one of those people who was very anti-silicone. I had heard stories of how difficult silicone bakeware is to use, and how things didn't cook right and everything stuck to the silicone, making whatever it was that you baked just a useless mess of mutilated baked goods.

I am a changed woman! This flower-shaped pan/mold changed how I look at silicone bakeware. It's AWESOME, and really easy to work with!! There's no need to buy any more paper liners for muffins or cupcakes!
