- I Love it! This is the second product I have by Berndes. I will never buy any other brand of skillets. The food gets cooked evenly because of the flat bottom. Minimal, if any, oil or butter is necessary- I often use spray - food never sticks to the pan and cleaning the skillet is SO easy. My husband feels the same way about the Berndes SignoCast products.
- I bought this to replace the same skillet I had purchased about 5 years ago--it was finally beginning to lose some of its non-stick covering. It is an excellent skillet, and I am very pleased that there is a matching glad lid available--something that I have found otherwise impossible to find for 8" non-stick skillets.
- I know kitchens -- I worked as a short-order cook for years.
This is a quality piece of cookware. Decent weight, well-machined. Berndes' non-stick coating is, for me, the standard against which I compare all others (and it's the only non-stick cookware I've ever been happy with). We've had the first pan for a year or three, and my wife still hasn't managed to destroy it. Yet.
For me, a HUGE plus (and what makes the purchase a no-brainer) is that there are no rivets inside the pan. (IMHO, rivets have no business on the inside of any pan -- makes cooking & clean-up more work.)
It's quite simply a flawless omelet pan. I've not used anything better at any price.
- This is a well-balanced, lightweight skillet. It heats quickly and uniformly and is really non-stick. I find it is very good for making omelets. My only caveat with this skillet is that the handle is quite long, making it difficult to store in a small space.
- Berndes SignoCast Classic 8-Inch SkilletThe best ever. not only the skillet but the whole line of the Berndes products

- If you want the best in non-stick cooking, this is it! It's about 4mm thick, cast aluminium which means it will brown food just like cast iron.
I cooked a ribeye on it, just added generous pinch of salt/pepper and rubbed it with oil. Heated the pan and rubbed it with oil also. 3 minutes per side and i got a very good crust, and a medium rare in the middle.
I cooked eggs in it, made pancakes, steaks, meatballs, even pasta with flour based sauce. Nothing sticks.
I do recomend you pickup a lid for this. Like other person said, the pan is true 13 inches, but remember this is a skillet, and you want it to be shallow and have as much cooking surface as possible :)
- Berndes makes the best non-stick skillets you'll ever use. Before ordering this one, make sure you really want the 13-inch model. It is HUGE. Really huge. Go to a store and make sure that this is really the size you want. Other than the enormous size, this thing is perfect. Perhaps the large size is what you're looking for, but not for me.

- I have spent hundreds of dollars tring different frying pans...Berndes makes the absolute BEST. They are a bit pricey, but last much longer than regular teflon...You can fry things, and run water in the pan, and it looks clean. Nothing sticks, you just have to put it in the dishwater to make sure your are wiping out the grease, since it already looks clean. I would not buy any other frying pan....I have all the sizes for pan frying and also their oval roaster, great idea with the off set handles.
- We have tried many brands of cookware but are totally satisfied with Berndes. We now have skillets, and various sizes of pans by this manufacturer and highly recommend this product to those seeking the highest quality cookware.
