- This little skillet has come in so useful . . . in fact, now that my fruit trees are bearing, I may make nothing but crepes for breakfast for the rest of the summer! With this skillet, it's almost as easy and quick as making pancakes.
- This is my second purchase of exactly the same skillet. Most of the cookware I use is the Anolon Advanced because of their excellent heat distribution and non-stick qualities. I have tried others but Anolon Advanced is still my favorite. Allows for healthy essentially fat-free cooking. The outside finish is also very easy to clean.
- I love Anolon pans. I got this one to complete the set
I purchased.
- LOVE ANALON but this is about the size pan to fry just a egg. I am slowly replacing my pots and pans with analon products. They are great as far as non stick goes you can make anything from ribs to cakes and the pans are as easy as a wipe down. I got the 5qt stock pot also that is way too small.
5 stars quailty
5 stars price [I paid 19]
3 stars for the rest
I will never really use this except for saute' onions, peppers etc.
- Very heavy and well made. Nothing sticks to it. Easy to clean. Great price too. A must have!

- I bought this pan 5 months ago and it is the BEST non stick cookware I have used in a long time! I had given up on the non-stick cookware due it it not holding up after several months. A friend of mine has a whole set if this cookware and has had it for 2 yrs, so I decided to give it a try and I absolutely like cooking with it...easy clean up afterwards!
- this is my 4th anolon advanced purchase. they are made to last. i am slowly replacing all my pans with these.
- We purchased the Analon 10" and 12" a couple of months ago. Our choice of Analon was based on reviews posted here. Must say, the most positive reviews were not exaggerations. They are both great.
- For $40 this pan cannot be beat. Just be sure to always use wood, silicon or plastic on the inside, never metal, it will eventually get scratched. I feel this pan is as nice as the All-Clad version and it's less than half the price! I also love the handle, very secure and "grippy." Even cooking and super non-stick. What more do you want?
- ok, so the small Anolon Advanced open French skillet is scratched, but it actually works great. No problem, the scratches are not real deep and it doesn't cause sticking. I love it because it is so easy to clean. Just use hot water, swipe with a paper towel and " oh my goodness" it is clean. Want to try the dirty? Like use a heavy load of cheese on a grilled cheese sandwhich... and still hot water and paper towel and u r done. And hey, these things really are pricey on the market, so a scratch here and there is ok as long as it is not nickle deep. Smile. Seriously people, it works so well I enjoy heating up a cup of chili in it. I only gave it four stars cause of the scratches. Did I say scrathes? Overall the price is just fine, cause I believe... if I live that long... I will be using this for a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG TIME> Smile.

- Excellent quality skillet. Non-stick surface does an exceptional job just don't use HIGH heat. Time will tell as to how scratch proof the non-stick coating is.
- This is one of the better pans I have owned. It has good weight and balance and the second handle is a must in this size of pan. The nonstick surface is great but only time will tell how it wears.
Keep in mind that this is a French skillet and was much deeper than I expected.
Overall very happy with my purchase. Quick 4 day delivery with Amazon free shipping a plus!
- Wow, I more or less just wasted my $43 on this skillet. I'd return it, but it will do as a 12 inch skillet for me. But I am very disappointed.
I had a T-Fal skillet that measured about 11 inches at the base, with a gradual slope up the sides that would allow me to pile a fairly good amount of fish, or pork chops in the pan quite easily. I have no idea where it came from, I may have gotten it by default when I got married. It has served me well over the years.
But it has some scratches and the non-stick coating is getting rough (still doesn't stick, looks like it is slightly bubbling.) I read that this means it is time for a new pan.
So I came here looking for a slightly bigger pan to replace it, as I always seem to have one filet or chop that won't quite fit or I have to cram the food in tightly.
So I settled on the Anolon 14 inch skillet that I am reviewing here. I also ordered a Revere Convenience 12-Inch Skillet thinking it could replace my smaller 10 inch pan that was also showing some scratches.
I received the Anolon 14 inch skillet and hauled out my tape measure and it has roughly a 10 1/2 inch base. The same as the cheaper, and smaller sized Rever Convenience 12-Inch Skillet. The top is 14 inches in diameter, but the base is the same as my 12 inch skillet.
How is that helpful? This is just a more expensive, takes up more space on the stovetop skillet with the same cooking surface area of my 12 inch Revere skillet!
I am not happy at all with this. The sides are very gradually sloped, so I can see that this might be useful if you are using it as a WOK or for vegetables, but for meats that you want solidly on the cooking surface, this is just a bulky, space stealing pan.
You're better off with something else.
- Large enough to hold plenty of food. Very sturdy. A must have for cooking enthusiasts. I use it in the oven as well.
- My husband and I are in love with this pan. Not only does it accommodate just about every meal we want to cook, the non-stick surface is amazing. The food slides right off so we use less or no oil for cooking. We got a great deal at a local specialty store. We are buying a lot of the Anolon pieces separately as needed. We have 2 strainer pots, an oval sauce pan, an 8 inch fry pan, and a wok. We couldn't be happier with our purchases.

- I like the fact that I can put this in dishwasher.
I've had this for about 6 months. It started to have grease built up on the side (inside and outside) that I can't wash off easily. Don't want to use metal scrub to clean it becasue i don't want to ruin the non stick layer.
- pros:
1) Heavy,well built.
2) Excellent non stick coating.
3) Looks like it will last for years.
4) Dishwasher safe (with restrictions).
cons:
1) The handle becomes too hot. After few minusts of frying an egg you can touch only the last 5 cm.
2) Not very stable. tend to lean to the direction of the handle (on my gas stove).
- This is a great pan to cook with as it holds heat well and food does not stick and is my everyday pan for breakfast. The titanium exterior looks good but is easily nicked. The interior scratches much easier than my other Anolon non-stick pans which I have used for years. The scratches have not affected pan performance.
- Heavy and feels like a good quality product. Can also use in dishwasher and oven.
- This skillet is a gift for my son's Grandmother (my ex mother-in-law).
It goes beyond my expectations. I was impressed with the quality of the skillet. It will be used on a regular basis and is constructed to take the use. I will most definitely order another size of the same kind of skillet.

5 comments about Anolon Titanium Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 12-Inch Open French Skillet with Helper Handle.
- This is a wonderful skillet... not praise I offer lightly. Worth every penny. Watch the "helper handle" it doesn't stay as cool as they say it is supposed to.
- First the good news. This is an extra heavy skillet with durable finish and good handles. It easily handles two quarts up to the bottoms of the rivets and distributes the heat evenly across the bottom of the pan. But for the bad news I would give this skillet four or five stars.
The bad news is that someone at the Anolon plant damaged the pan BEFORE it was placed in the Anolon carton. Neither the Anolon box nor the outer UPS shipping carton showed any damage when I received the skillet. It wasn't until the the following day, after I threw out the packaging, that I noticed the a small sharp blow had been delivered to the rim of the pan which deformed the pan slightly. True, I should have been more attentive when I received the pan, but I never suspected Anolon would package damaged goods.
I'll live with my mistake but will not purchase anything by Anolon again!
- A fair price for this dishwasher-safe, non-stick pan of this high quality. Even cooking with little or no oil. Very pleased.
- After reading other reviews on this skillet I orded it. We love it. It is so nice to cook on low heat and have the meat to brown. I just heat the skillet up on med heat and put a chop in it cooks very slow and nice. I do need to use any oil or breading. I love this skillet.
- If you are going to buy only one pan this is the one. It's perfect for every use as far as size and depth, and wipes clean! A little on the heavy side but that's the quality it's made of. The only thing missing is a lid, but you can use one of thoses universal size lids for all pans. For such a quality pan I would like to see a quality glass perfect fit lid. Other than that you can't find better.

- I have three sizes of these skillets. I love all of them. You cook without oil. The clean up is great. Every thing is cooked on med to low heat. They are wounderful. I would tell anyone to buy them.
- We know have 2 10 inch Analon Titanium skillets. We like them all very much. We had some earlier analon skillets and they are very good, but the titanium series is better. An earlier Anolon skillet still is non-stick but is starting to lose something. The titanium does not seem to be losing it. Great skillets.
- Heats super evenly, non-stick works fantastic, dishwasher safe as long as you use the right detergent. It doesn't get any better than that!
- I first discovered Analon Titanium (restaurant tested) fry pans in Macy's. They only had an 8 inch model, which I purchased as it is perfect for making a personal omelet. They are heavy gauge aluminum clad in titanium on the bottom and have completely steel handles unlike the lower grade of Analon which look very similar but have silicone rubber handle grips. As such, the metal handles are much better for popping a meal into the oven after initially frying/browning it on the stove. The nonstick coating is very high grade as well.
- This would be the perfect fry pan for me if it wasnt for the somewhat rounded bottom. The pan rocks toward the heavy handle, causing the oil to puddle to that side. If you have a gas stove this is probably not a problem because of the way the cast iron "fingers" support the pan over the flame. But if your have a glass top stove or an electric with the standard spiraled type element, I'd recomend getting a different pan.

- I don't like non-stick. It's not as versatile as good 3-ply stainless steel and it doesn't last anywhere near as long. That said, I do like egg dishes and in the summer I like dishes w/ a lighter mouth-feel (not as much oil). So I set out for the best non-stick pan.
I got a 12-inch pan because I've had 10 inch and 8 inch pans in the past and they get crowded very easily. Secondly, I wanted a pan w/ a riveted handle and a decent high temp oven performance. Also, I believe the true mark of a nonstick pan is the 'flip' performance-- so, NO HELPER HANDLE IS THE WAY TO GO! That's just my opinion. I eventually narrowed by search to 3 brands: Caphalon, All Clad, and Analon. Caphalon because they had some interesting non-stick options, All Clad because it's just the best, and Analon because I currently use their stainless set and for the last 2 years I've been very happy.
So All Clad was knocked out of contention quickly for the simple reason that ALL NON-STICK PANS DEGRADE over time. And from what I've read, their best non-stick pan will loose it's luster in about 2 years. That's not to say that I think the pan would be completely crap after 2 years-- just that i think the degradation curve would start to accelerate into the replacement zone. So why pay $130-190 for a pan over two years when you could use 2 average non-stick pans at the same price over two years and have more 'quality' non-stick time to boot?
With All Clad out of the way I turned my attention to Caphalon. I still didn't want a 'cheap' pan though... just not ridiculously over-priced one (although I would love to replace my analon ss set w/ an all-clad one in about 5 more years-- saving those pennies...). Caphalon has 'professional', 'commercial', 'contemporary', and 'one' series pans. Professional pan reviews peg it as a loser. 'One' series pans are just a bad idea all around... why would anyone want a pan that's permanently sorta-non-stick-but-not-really? 'Contemporary' pissed me off (yes I was actually offended) with it's strange 'bulge flare' near the rim-- you really have to see it to understand what I'm talking about. So I considered the commercial series.
Anolon was my last consideration. I looked at their titanium series in the past, but ultimately went with the SS set (glad I did). I was very concerned about the silicon handles. Mainly because it's a limiter to broiling temps, but I gotta say I've been pleasantly surprised. They do add a very good handling feel to the cookware and the silicon hasn't discoloured or peeled or scraped off anywhere. I totally expected the silicon to wear out and it hasn't. Also, their metal ply is just as even and weighted as the all clad stuff. Same thickness, very similar shape, and from the durability I've experienced I'd be surprised if all-clad is really all that much better... but from the looks of it I would have to comment on that about 7 years into ownership. So I was definitely going to consider Anolon.
Went to the store, felt the surface of the commercial caphalon and it was ROUGH. I know it's commercial and they say you can use metal utensils, but something is just counter-intuitive about a 'rough' non-stick surface. It was priced at $50. Then I checked the Anolon Advanced pan. Nice and smooth. Also it had the same handle as my Anolon SS set and the capholon had one of those slightly loose, thick silicon handle... uhhh... condoms. Also the packaging on the commercial pan is sparse-- consisting of a strip of cardboard w/ logo and writing and the sides of the pan exposed to the elements. When they ship them they're stacked on top of each other and the Anodized aluminum bottom from one pan constantly rubs the top rim of the pan below. I couldn't find a single pan out of the 8 on the racks, that didn't have scuffing around the rim from distributor shipping. Needless to say the Caphalon Commercial pan was OUT and the individually completely boxed, wrapped in plastic, suspended in a cardboard brace Anolon Advance pan won the day.
I was very curios about this Dupont Autograph 2 thing. Aparently the Non-stick is on the inside of the pan and seamlessly wraps over the edge and all the way down the outside until the very bottom of the pan where the Anodized Aluminum bottom makes contact w/ the burner. I don't know if it actually does anything functional, but it's VERY easy to clean. I guess maybe it keeps food from 'catching' around the rim when stirring vigorously or 'flipping' veggies in a sauté. So far the non-stick surface is PERFECT. About 20 seconds of soap, sponge, and hot water is all that is need to clean inside and out (thank you to the wrap-around nonstick surface). It has a very good weight so the heat distribution is great even around the sides. I've become accustomed to 'flipping' with my stainless pans so when I first tried it with this pan I accidentally sky-rocketed the veggies into the ventilation hood. As with temperature and handling with all new pans, it's good to keep in mind 'baby-steps'.
- We purchased the Analon 10" and 12" a couple of months ago. Our choice of Analon was based on reviews posted here. Must say, the most positive reviews were not exaggerations. They are both great.
- This is a very nice non stick fry pan. It is very heavy so takes a little longer to heat up, but provides nice even heat without hot spots. I would definitely buy this brand again.
- My wife and I received the pans in this set for our wedding over 3 years ago. They have been excellent despite very heavy use from us. The non-stick still doesn't stick and there is almost no discoloration. They are very easy to clean because the entire pan is non-stick, not just the inside. The silicon on the handle does an excellent job of protecting your hand from being burnt even at high temperatures.
The only problem we've had is that on a few of the pans the silicon part of the handle came loose. I submitted a request to their customer service department on the web and had brand new pans within a week at no cost to me.
- I bought this for my wife as a late Christmas present and have waited nearly 8 months before writing this review. After months of regular use, it looks as good as new. The skillet has held up very well - much better than the "T-Foul" skillet that we disposed of upon buying this item.

- I just wish I bought one a little larger...
- This is a great pan, I've had it for over a year now. I use it every day for eggs for myself. You can easily scramble 3 eggs in it, or use it to saute onions, mushrooms, etc.... To clean, soak for a while and then it's quite easy to scrub out. It cooks really well, heats evenly and I've never burned anything in it yet. Plus it's so much healthier to use than the non-stick pans. I love the pan so much I just bought two more! If you need a small frying pan, it's great. Highly recommended!
- This is the piece I use most. It is perfect for scrambled eggs or cooking meat for one person.
- Why does Anolon create a sticky pan that has a name so similar to its non-stick counterpart (Anolon Advanced)? I'm really unhappy that I bought these pans... Though it was probably my fault for not reading carefully enough.
