1. THE PRODUCT IS GREAT I ORDERED 5 AT A TIME THE FIRST DEL. NOT ONE CAME UNBROKEN THE SECOND CAME UN-BROKEN BUT THAT WAS BY ACCIDENT THE PACKING WAS STILL BAD. THIS STILL CAN BE USED AS A BOWL.



2. This is my first domed cake stand. I got it because I wanted to display a round layer cake for Christmas, and didn't want plastic wrap to mess up the frosting. 2 stacked nine-inch cakes fit perfectly under the dome if you're careful as you put it on - there's not a lot of extra room! I think 8-inch cakes would be easier, but the 9-inch ones DO fit if you center them exactly on the platter. The glass is just the right thickness - nice and sturdy without being bulky. I'm not worried about chipping the rim when I put the dome on. The knob handle gives you a good grasp of the lid, and the ridged pattern around the base is beautiful and retro. I can't speak to any breakage during shipping, because I got mine at a store... but you sure can't beat the price! I got mine for $9.99, and it looks and feels like a much more expensive product. Gorgeous. I expect it to last many years. I'd buy it for friends and family in a heartbeat. The punch bowl it makes seems well balanced and stable, although I haven't actually used it for that yet. It does make a relatively small punch bowl, but you can always refill it! Don't limit yourself though - I imagine you can also use the "punch bowl" feature to hold trifle, salads, etc. I love this cake stand and wouldn't trade it for any other. Highly recommend!

1. Nice item once it arrived. The first one sent did not make it to my house---tracking showed it arrived damaged at one of the UPS warehouses along the way. A few weeks later I finally received the second one shipped and I am pleased with it. Definitely a problem with packing, I would allow extra time for shipment in case it takes a couple tries. :o)



2. I have wanted a cake dome for some time now. But couldn't afford the really good ones, or so I thought. This cake dome is perfect, exactly what I wanted and for less than the price at the stores.
   
   When I read the reviews, it was obvious that this cake dome is known to be delivered damaged. But I figured if I ordered one and it came damaged Amazon.com would replace it at no charge.
   
   So I took the chance and ordered it. I am very glad I did. It came in pristine condition, not at all the packaging that some of the other reviewers had written. I guess Amazon.com figured out a better way of packaging.
   
   The plate will easily fit a 9 in cake with icing. And the dome really is tall, a lot taller than most. It is however on the heavy side, but that is what I was looking for. And most of all, it is beautiful in it's simplicity.
   
   I can't wait to bake a cake now and display/keep it properly! (instead of wrapping it in saran wrap)

4. These are great domes.....only problem is getting them in one piece! I ordered more than one, but have yet to get them all in one piece! The boxes are not marked fragile and the Post Office really handles them roughly! Even the cake dome box was mangled in one shipment. Amazon has been wonderful about replacements, but it's a mess to have to deal with the broken glass and big boxes that are ruined for any other use because of all the broken glass.



5. I ordered this cake dome after unsucessfully trying a few others. This is one of the only two cake domes I have found that are tall enough for a layer cake. This is the only one that is priced sensibly. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the lid is quite heavy. It is also shaped in such a way that the lid does not rest in a certain spot on the platter so you have to be careful not to touch the cake when replacing the dome. The width of the dome is about 10.5 inches which will hold a 9 inch cake perfectly. It looks nice on the counter (actually better than a more expensive one I tried) and is quite sturdy.

1. Nice looking canisters but 2 out of the 3 purchased canisters (bought directly from Target) had chips in the glass, on the outside edge of rim and inside edge where cardboard packaging insert is under lid. These are not noticeable until you've removed the packaging. So much for trying to buy American made products.



2. I bought this to store flour. It looks terrific on the counter and goes with any decor. It doesn't have a seal, but I'm actually happy about that. I'm going to buy other sizes, as well.



3. Being able to fit any size measure into this canister is wonderful - just scoop and go - no need to tilt to reach inside - lack of retaining lip for lid or gasket is a minor blip in the design but overall we love them



4. This is great! I was sick and tired of cleaning up spilled popcorn, rice, oatmeal, etc. in my pantry when they were stored in the bags from the store. I needed a solution, and I didn't want ugly, temporary, plastic or rubber containers that last only as long as their lids stay around. These glass containers work beautifully and they are attractive enough to keep out on the counter.

1. This is a nice, thick jar. True, there is no rubber seal around the lid, but it's only $10. If you need a jar to keep items fresh, you might want to spend a little more money for a nicer jar, but, if you just need a jar to put stuff in, this works great. I keep dog treats in it. The opening is nice and wide so I have no problems getting dog biscuits out of it.



2. So happy with this purchase! I use it for storing sugar and it looks so nice on the counter. No, it doesn't have a seal, but I'm actually glad it doesn't. I also bought the larger one to store flour.



3. I bought this jar to replace a broken one from Ikea that held marshmallows and other treats. The broken one had a lid that had a plastic/rubber seal that kept air from getting in - this jar's lid does not have any seal and just more or less sits loosely on the top of the jar. I'm using it, but I wouldn't buy it again for the purpose I wanted.



4. The jar is very nice looking and it looks and feels like its good quality. However, it is HUGE. A lot bigger than I was expecting. It would pretty much hold a 10-lb bag of sugar.



5. These are perfect for storing the large quanities of teas I purchase off Amazon. They free up my cabinet space. Priced right too with the buy 4 and be charged for only 3, and free shipping because my total order was over $25. How can you beat it? With the price of gas so high I find myself shopping more and more at Amazon.

1. I knew the size of the jar before I ordered, as the dimensions are clearly stated. In spite of that, I was shocked to see how big it was when I first pulled it out of the carton. It is big, bright, new, shiny, clean, & perfect. I don't think I will be using the bail wire because I like the jar too much to trust the handle to not fail. There is no second chance with glass.



2. A bit awkward assembling the cover and handle, but otherwise very nice product... sturdy and the right size for storing vinegar.



3. This is an attractive way to store just about anything. We are trying to get away from plastic storage for food because of potential adverse health affects and were looking for a substantial size for dog food. This holds almost the entire bag (I think it was 15 lb bag). Only negative is that we've had some difficulty with the handle (which you assemble yourself). It doesn't fit tightly so I don't use it to lift it any longer. Other than that, it's great.



4. We were looking for a replacement to a large coin back and was unable to find anything satifactory. We found this jar and while it may not be as big as we wanted it works perfectly.

1. A great extra-large jar -- I use several of different sizes frequently but this size is a favorite. The lid is heavy and well-balanced. These jars need rubber gaskets for better sealing. Large, food-grade gaskets are hard to find. Gaskets would also minimize rim damage wear from the heavy lids. The inside diameter of this jar's lid beyond the lid-lip and before the lid-edge is 7 3/8", so if you're shopping for a gasket, you'll need one about this size. Attention Amazon: put a link on the product page for food-grade gaskets.



2. I love my jars! 2 were broken but amazom replaced them for me right away.



3. This glass jar is massive, and its perfect for brewing Kombucha tea, which is what I use it for. The only downside is that the lid doesn't create an airtight seal, but I don't use the lid anyway.



4. The jars I ordered for myself and a colleague, both for making and storing pickles in. They were a great value through Amazon, but all of the jars appear to be seconds or re-manufactured from cracked or broken glass, which I did not see mentioned in the product description.
   
   They do not leak or anything, but it makes them less appealing to leave on the counter, and you just sort of wonder if they might crack or leak. (They don't -- or haven't yet.)

1. I returned this item because it's made cheaply. Each 'tier' is made from two pieces - the plate and base - and are cheaply glued together. It wasn't glued on straight and the glue was smeared.



2. These patters are beautiful. Nice clean lines and can be stacked all together or separately. I like to put a small vase with flowers on the very top teir...just the right touch.



3. I was worried after reading about the bad packaging and how it came broken for a number of people. But someone must have told Target b/c it came wrapped in half a roll of bubble paper! Looks really nice and will be a great gift for my friend the baker.



4. I used this 3-tiered platter at my wedding reception, and it added an elegant touch to the food service. I love how versatile this platter is, as it can be disassembled into separate plates or stacked up for a fountain-like effect. The platters are thick enough not to break easily, but still look classy. The only improvement I can suggest is that I would have liked it to be bigger!



5. I bought these to display cupcakes. The tiers made a big impression and they looked more expensive than their price.

1. This is very sturdy and a wonderful bargain. Being glass it goes with every decor and can be used with either your stoneware or your china. Most people willl use this for chips and dip but I think it's a great Shrimp Cocktail platter. Just lay down some butter lettuce leaves on the platter and one cup shaped leaf umder the bowl, fill with cocktail sauce and then lay the shrimp, tail side out, in a circular pattern around the platter. You can usually get two layers of shrimp. It also works well for Fruit dips such as peanut-butter caremel dip with apple slices or pear and apple sclies with walnut & blue cheese yogurt dip. Easy clean up. You can also use it to serve those little smokey links with a mustard dip. very versatile and EASY clean up!



2. What a gorgeous set!!! You won't regret buying this. It is better that the 2 pieces seperate that way you won't have to bring the whole plate over to refill dip or coctail sauce. The plate is so thick and shaped beautifully. Very artistic line.



3. I purchased this item online in September of 2003 and while i have only used it once for entertaining I use the bowl all the time for almost anything. Since it's made of glass it can match any table setting and the glass is very sturdy.



4. I bought this in a pinch for entertaining and have really fell in love. I had been searching for a Chip and dip set that did not have the bowl attatched and was unable to find one until now. The bowl is generously sized and the platter holds enough chips/crudites for at least 5 people to snack heavily. Another thing is that the glass is thick and fits nicely in the dishwasher. I also like that it is simple b/c it is able to go with any decor.

1. I needed this in a rush and ordered it here on Amazon.com. The bowl came quickly and served its purpose quite well. It is a no nonsense trifle bowl that I used for a raspberry tiramisu and it looked great. People were quite impressed with the presentation. The bowl could be fancier and have a lid, but all that is not necessary. The glass has a good and heavy feel to it as well.



2. purchased thru amazon.Needed it for a new recipe ordered bowl- quick delivery aqnd very nice trifle dish . Did the trick and I didn't have to go anywhere but my computer to purchase it. If I had gone to a bed bath and beyond or deet store , I probably would have seen 10 other things to buy. Amazon satisfied my need for a great dish and saved me money by keeping me out of the stores HA!!!!!
