  1. I consider this one of the most helpful items that I've purchase in a long while. I've found a dozen uses for this pot and it is so esy to keep clean and so useful.

  2. I love this saucepan. I have used it for everything from boiling potatoes to deep frying artichokes and it has handled every task very well. I use it often and it has become one of my favorite pans.

I love that it is extra deep. The self-straining lid makes it easy to boil food and saves dirty dishes. It feels sturdy and well-made and I like the soft feel of the handle. Clean-up is easy.

    I recommend it highly.

  3. I really like this saucepan. I bought it for the straining function. But I found it gets used all the time. It is very easy to clean inside out.

  4. We burned up our old one and this is better than the one that came withour original set. The "pour" lid feature is great for removing liquids before serving

  5. I absolutely love this pan! The straining feature is fantastic! The pan is heavy so I rest it against the side of the sink to help hold it steady. The handles stay cool so you don't need a potholder but you might want to use one to protect against the heat from the steam. I recently acquired the 10-pc. set of Anolon Advanced cookware and am very happy with it. The thing that bothers me most about the cookware is it takes a little longer to cook things because you can't use high heat. Boiling water takes a long time. The cookware is very sturdy and is a breeze to clean. So easy that it's not a big deal that it isn't dishwasher safe.

  1. I believe this pan was a premium gift for a larger purchase. I was able to purchase it at a good price so I decided it would be worth it. We're a small family so I don't use it that much but I like it for larger recipes when I don't want to use my dutch oven. I don't know how well it will hold up over the years but I plan to wash it by hand and not use it over high heat, so I'm expecting that it will last. I have other Anolon skillets and I've been pleased with them. So far it has been a good addition to my basic cookware - both stainless and non-stick.

  2. Though this Anolon pot is of generally good quality, it is not a "Professional" series add-on. The general heft and feel of this pot is nowhere near the rest of the set. The exterior finish of this pot reminds me of a sloppy auto paint job. In all fairness however, this however does not affect the performance of the pot.

  3. The first thing that caught my eye was that the box was water-damaged. The outer box was perfectly fine so I can only assume the water came from wherever the pan was stored in the warehouse.

Next, I pulled the pan and lid out and noticed immediately that the glass lid had someones fingerprint smudges on it and was covered in dried water stains. Clearly, the product was used and returned. No quality control there!

I was quite disappointed with the weight of the pan. I have used this type of pan for years and this one was light-weight and cheaply built. I compared it with my old one that I was replacing and the sides of the pan are shorter than expected.

I bought this pan when the price was $19.99 and I could not be induced to keep it, even for that price. This pan is selling now for almost $100! It's not worth $5!!!

The one good thing about this experience is that Amazon will let you return the product with free return shipping. As the pan comes in a fairly big box, it was nice to return such a crappy item and not have to pay to get my money back. My account was credited quickly and easily.

  4. This is definitely worth the original $100.00 price. I actually got it for 19.99 on clearance and I must say it was a winning deal. The heat distribution is superb and the quality of the nonstick surface is unbeatable. I've seen this pot in the stores and even getting it at $100 is a deal. Anything less than $80 is a steal.

  5. this is a very nice product and the designed exterior finish seems very strong and should not breakdown as on some other lines of cookware

  1. I use this saucepan all the time. Works great for oatmeal and sauces as well. Very easy to clean and food does not stick to it.

  2. This is a great little pan at a great price. The pour spouts are extremely handy for soups, sauces, and gravies, and the size is great for cooking for one or two.

It's heavy gauge and hard anodized on the outside. It has a quality nonstick surface on the inside. It heats up fast. The commercial style durable handle gets warm but doesn't overheat when cooking.

    And it really is cute!

  1. My roommate had one that was brand new in which I left water at a bowl in the pot for maybe 10 minutes and the water alone cooked away the protective layer inside the pot and stained it white. Since the pot was not mine I had to replace it at $60. I would have never paid that much if it were for myself.

  2. Currently this product does very well. For the price you can't beat it. Non-stick works exceptionally well.

  3. My wife and I received the pans in this set for our wedding over 3 years ago. They have been excellent despite very heavy use from us. The non-stick still doesn't stick and there is almost no discoloration. They are very easy to clean because the entire pan is non-stick, not just the inside. The silicon on the handle does an excellent job of protecting your hand from being burnt even at high temperatures.

The only problem we've had is that on a few of the pans the silicon part of the handle came loose. I submitted a request to their customer service department on the web and had brand new pans within a week at no cost to me.

  4. Whether you hate or love cooking, this is a great piece in a wonderful set of cookingware. I've yet to find a better coated set of pans. Yes, they are expensive, but when you figure how many times you buy "value" pots and pans at Wal Mart and Target over time, you begin to see that real value can truly be found in quality and not just price. So about the saucepan: it's the perfect size, durable, not too heavy, coated and has a secure rubberized handle. Its a great investment to consider.

  1. The Anolon 2-quart covered saucepan is great. I love the rubber handle on the saucepan and on the top. It keeps each from getting really hot. I also love the glass top. It enables you to see the sauces, soups, rice, etc. as they are cooking. The product itself was sent quickly.

  1. Hot oatmeal can stick to the sides of some pans like concrete. The Anolon 1 1/2 quart saucepan is perfect for two people and is extremely easy to clean. The glass lid allows me to view the erupting oatmeal and turn down the heat before the stove is covered with oatmeal lava.

  2. Just the right size for a can of soup or hardboiling eggs for whatever. if you have Anolon Advanced you know how good they are.
    'Nuff said

  3. Anolon makes awesome kitchenware, and this saucepan is no exception. I highly recommend Anolon products!

  4. I recently bought a 10 Pc Anolon Advanced cookware set but it didn't come with a small pan. I bought the 1 1/2 Qt pan and I love it it completed my set. It has a great handle and I especially like the see through glass lid.

  1. I have a 4-Quart Saucepan with Lid. I was lukcy to pay much less money at a discount store.
I've tried all different levels of cookware in my life (from a grocerystore brand to All-Clad), and Anolon Titanium is the best!
It never sticks, and it never burn my food no matter how hot it gets.
I really wanted to own a whole Anolon Titanium set. However, it's a little too expensive ($325) for me by now. Possibly because of its brand new technology. I sincerely appreciate your unique invention. One day I'll own all of the nonstick hard anodized titanium pots and pans!

5 comments about Anolon Advanced 4-1/2-Quart Tapered Saucepot.

  1. Just finally got around to using this pan. It's perfect for our small family when I don't want to use my dutch oven - plus it's non-stick. It performed just great and worked fine on our flat-top range. I waited until it returned to Amazon with free shipping for a good price. It is as described - tapered - but perfectly sized for one of my burners.

  2. I purchased this pan to replace a freebie farberware "professional" nonstick 4 quart saucepot. The design of this pot is quite nice - the handles stay cool on the stove and the nonstick surface makes this pot a pleasure to cook with and to clean. The tapered edges are in vogue these days, though I still prefer a pot with straight sides. In comparison to Calphalon pots I own, this is somewhat lighter weight and does not have a commercial feel. This pan, like many anodized pans, requires handwashing.

  3. Great pot - easy to clean and big enough to make a good sized pot of soup without everything bubbling over the stove. I bought this to add to my basic pieces and the love, love, love this cookware. This pot is surprisingly light weight also so it's easy to handle. The price was great too, sometimes cookware can be so expensive. I chose this over the regular 3 quart saucepan because of size and price. I use it several times a week. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

  4. This is an awesome pot -- perfect for everything from everyday use to holiday candy making. I had to replace my 30+ year-old heavy "caramel pot" this year, and was pleasantly surprised by this pot -- wish I'd replaced the old one earlier! The heat distribution is very even, and clean-up an absolute breeze, thanks to the coating. I was so excited to see all of the sticky caramel pour right out of the pan, with no rubber-scraper coaxing, and with next-to-nothing left to wash out! Woohoo! Since then, I've allowed the pan to be used for other things too, and haven't found anything to complain about. It's also a great size -- not too big, but not too small, either (and I cook for a family of six). Love it!

  5. I began replacing my Calphalon commercial non-stick pots and pans when they discontinued the line. The "new" Calphalon One basically sucks.
Some my Calphalon was at least ten years old and from my experience as a professional chef ALL non-stick wears out over time no matter how carefully it is treated.

Alanalon Advanced is a superior product with the added advantage of non-stick exterior which cleans easily without any "special" anodized aluminum cleaners.

I would suggest that if you are intrested in these products keep watching on-line because when they introduce a new pot or pan the introductory price is fabulous. Then the price basically triples.

I will continue to replace my cookware with Analon Advanced, not Analon Titanium whic is not as heavy/even heating and does not have in insulated handles which are a great convenience.
