1. Upon receipt this item was perfect, and did its job well. I made beautiful quiches with it. I liked it so well I bought a second one! However, over time, and I have owned them for probably 8 years now. They are nothing but RUST ... I have taken care of them well, handwashed, dried completely, stored safely to no avail. I can't cook anything in them anymore for fear of the rust leeching into my food. I would not recommend.

1. I had two problems with this product: 1) it came with some kind of industrial sticky-stuff that attached the removable bottom to the rim. After cooking a tart in the pan and several washings, it's still not all gone. 2) Non-stick, I now realize (and Cook's Illustrated confirms) is a terrible choice for a tart pan. Tart dough is usually high in fat, and needs something to grip. In this pan, the dough just slides right down the nonstick insides of the pan

1. This is the biggest Quiche pan that I've ever seen. If you want to serve a lot of Quiche Lorraine to party guests or your family, this is the pan for you. A recipe for Quiche Lorraine comes with it. Any crust-enclosed, semi-liquid, egg-cheese filled pie made with this pan will flare from 9.75"-10" square on its deeply fluted bottom crust to 12" square on the outer edges of its smooth-edged top crust. It is so big that you could use it to make a Bavarian- or Austrian-style cheesecake, with a shortbread crust and a baked Quark cheese filling, that would stun 9-16 cheesecake lovers. Beware though. You'll need a 14" square plate to present your gorgeous fluted pastries in the style that they deserve! Although you can present and serve food from this pan, magnificently, I wouldn't abuse it with metal tools. Use non-damaging nylon spatulas, instead. Kaiser recommends a baking temp. of 320 F. (160 C.) and hand washing of this pan with mild soap and water.

1. ANd they make good quiche. Smaller than I expected, but make sure your crusts wrap over the lip and they will come out perfect every time.
