  1. I am very disappointed with this muffin pan. I've probably used it a dozen times and I have to dig and pry to get the muffins out. It's no better than the cheap one I bought when I got married 40 years ago. Furthermore, it's horrible to clean. If anything, I have to scrub harder than on my old one.

  2. I am so exited... my first batch of muffins with this brand new pan came out nicely. Crust are on top, around, and bottom. I chose this pan because of its curvy design of the muffin cup wall-to-bottom (vs. straight 90 degree wall). Because of the crispy crust all around plus the nonstick, I just need two fingers to fish them out to the cooling rack. Nothing was left in the pan for cleaning.

  3. Initially I gave this item 4 stars, but actually now that I have used it for a couple months, would take that down to 2 stars if the amazon system would allow a change in rating. The heaviness of the pan seems to retain a great deal of heat, which often results in muffins burning on the bottom. I would not recommend this item.

  4. I love cornbreads. This pan really worked magic with my Boston Market corn bread mix. Comes out perfectly even, no oil needed, each muffin pops out with such ease. Super heavy duty too, nice hefty weight.

Especially it's on the 4 for 3 special, such a great deal.

  5. This is a nice quality pan. It has a sturdy "heavy" feel to it. I have used it quite often and there is no warping. Items come out very evenly cooked and clean-up is a breeze.

  1. I use these for my birthday parties at Tot Spot Cafe. The cupcakes are not super secure so it is easier to place the display and then load in the cupcakes.

  1. These are fun for making more bite size muffins. I put my banana bread into these for my husband to take with him in the morning for the car. He just pops them in his mouth. It is a little challenging spraying them with PAM but I just put them all really close together and spray then spread them back out on the pan for cooking. Get more than one set and make fun treats for your family!

  1. Pan is heavy and well made.

I bought two and used it for the first time yesterday. From a standard size cake mix box, you can make eight cupcakes with this type of pan. Fill them up just a little over half way. The cupcakes were evenly cooked and are humongous. Reminded me of getting a cupcake at an expensive cupcake store.

They look great decked out with a special frosting.

One annoyance is finding cupcake holders for this pan. We ended finding them at a outlet store, but couldn't find them at any major retailer.

  1. America's Test Kitchen reviewed a similar pan very well especially because of the handles on the sides. You don't put your finger in the cupcakes when you take them out of the oven. So that part is covered with this pan.

Before purchasing, I went to the local WM and found that they had a similar pan, but there were, well I will call them seams, where the cups are welded to the top. So there's a possibility for the seams to widen, and harbor germs and become a cleaning hazard. Maybe they won't become a problem, but I would've rather had a solid molded piece.

Since this one at Amazon was a lot more pricey, I thought it would be better. The picture doesn't show these seams! But the product that came to me was the exact same piece as I found locally, only a different brand. Of course Amazon has to pay the shipping.

I did bake some muffins in it and they came out great and slid right out when done. I used non-stick spray just in case, but they still came out much better than my last pan with spray.

So there you have it. Good and bad.

  2. The pan works extremely well: bakes and browns evenly. The thing is so non-stick that pam beads up and hardly does anything. I haven't brought myself not to use pam, but given the beading, I doubt it does much good. The muffins do stick slightly in the corners unless you let them cool for about 10 minutes in the pan, then they slide right out. The whole thing is non-stick, so cleaning is a breeze and baked on spillage slides right off.

The only problem is that with the handles, which are tremendously helpful in keeping your oven mitt out of the batter or baked good, the pan is so long that it does not fit front to back in my oven, which is a full size range. I thus need to turn it sideways and cannot put two pans on one shelf. Not a major negative, but something to consider.

Not that these things are likely to rust, but an easy way to take care of them is to hand wash them and put them back into the still-warm oven to dry. Works like a charm.

  3. I just received this yesterday and made blueberry muffins today. They cooked to a nice golden brown and, with the help of a little Pam spray, popped out nicely when done. The wide handles made it easy to remove from the oven with bulky oven mitts. It also cleaned up easily. I would recommend this muffin pan.

  4. Works great for muffins and cupcakes. Was recommended by PBS' America's Test Kitchen. I actually order two more AND......a mini muffin pan!

  1. This product feels kind of cheap and lightweight, but it was the perfect size for making mini-quiches so I gave it a try.

I washed it and left it to dry on the dishrack. I came back later to find it was rusting! I thought that tin was not supposed to rust...

I scrubbed off the rust and used the pan successfully, but even after washing and hand-drying it continued to rust quite badly. I tossed it out and bought a heavy-duty nonstick Chicago Metallic version. Amazon sells it here: Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick 24-Cup Mini-Muffin Pan. No fuss, no rust!

  1. I have a mini muffin pan that only bakes 12, and another one that bakes 24. The larger pan is by far the more convenient one. My typical muffin recipes seem to make 48 mini muffins. I am planning on getting rid of my smaller pan and replacing it with another large one. Having to bake fewer batches is much more convenient.

So, while Wilton's products are quite nice, and my Elite 24 pan completely rocks, I would pass on the small pan and just get a 24 muffin pan.

  2. I use this every week to make cupcakes or muffins. We are gluten-free, casein-free (GFCF) and soy-free. I used to make his GFCFSF muffins in the big muffin tins, but after a while he seemed to not like the texture and size of them and would only eat half. So I got two of these pans. They are PERFECT. My son loves the smaller sized stuff (he is 3), and I think everything turns out more moist because it's not so big. I plan to get more of these and might even get rid of my big muffin cups!

  3. Great 12-cup mini muffin pan. Two fit nicely on one oven shelf (they are just under 8" wide) with room for hot air to still circulate around them. The handles at both ends are great - the smallness of the pan could easily lead to an oven mitt in the muffins otherwise. In my haste to make my first batch of muffins, I forgot to grease the pan... However, the muffins slid out easily so now I just don't bother greasing the pan at all! Baked muffins are evenly browned. I bought two as I found this is approximately equal to the volume of a regular 12-cup muffin recipe. I would highly recommend this item.

  4. Overall it's good, but the day after I bought it, I saw the price of the 24 mini muffin pan in the store is about the same as the one I bought (12 mini muffin pan)

  5. This is a great product. I bought this to make small phyllo cups and it was perfect.
