  1. I bought two of these pans to use in my LARGE toaster oven. I do not have a full-size oven. I was delighted to think I could have a pretty twelve cup muffin pan that would fit in my toaster oven--NOT! The dimensions are TWELVE inches by TWELVE inches, NOT eleven inches by eleven inches as stated in the item description! Even the inside dimensions from the inside of one baking cup, accross the pan to the other side of the opposite baking cup is in excess of eleven inches. Pretty pan, but what a disappointment.

  2. I bought the Nordicware Sweetheart Rose Muffin/Cake pan since I bake a lot of muffins and wanted a more "professional" appearance. Instead of boring, bland muffins, the Nordicware Sweetheart Rose pan makes 12 1/2 cup roses in intricate detail, including rosebuds and leaves. I use Baker's Joy to grease the pan before baking, and add a light dusting of confectioner's sugar to the finished muffins / cakes so as not to cover up the details. Cleaning is a snap: normally, there is no batter left in the pans, ever with all the nooks and crannies. The pan is also a good solid weight, something sorely missing in all those "made in China" knock-offs (Nordicware is still made in the USA). This is an easy, beautiful presentation for teacakes, muffins, and cupcakes that look like you bought them at a bakery.

  3. Heavy pan that bakes evenly. The cupcakes I made looked beautiful. It was also a good value for a pan of this high quality.

  4. I own the same brand in heart-shaped form, and I've been very pleased with the product. The muffins always turn out so well and unsticking them from the pan is effortless (which is more than I can say about several other brand tins out there). After baking with this pan I realize how nice it is not to be concerned with effectively removing the baked good and knowing that the product will look beautiful is also great.

The only downsides are the cost, heaviness, and the fact they're not very space-efficient-- only two of these can fit in a conventional oven and one better use both hands to remove the pan. Though $30 is a lot of money for something that bakes so few goods, it is well worth it based on its reliability and durability. As a person who baked 3 times a week, I got my money's worth.

  1. I use these for my birthday parties at Tot Spot Cafe. The cupcakes are not super secure so it is easier to place the display and then load in the cupcakes.

  1. I have not yet used this muffin pan; however, once I received it I was a bit unhappy to find that there are ridges around the edges of the cups. Since I frequently have overflows with my muffins, these ridges will make it harder to clean up. Other than that, the quality seems good. I like that they are not nonstick. They are not oversized cups - which is nice for portion control.

  2. In the usual Chicago Metallic style, this pan is very well built. Heavy, durable, won't warp in the oven. Yes, it costs more than the cheap ones, but this will perform much better and will last for a very long time. Once you use well-made tools, you'll not want to use anything else!

  1. This 6-cup regular muffin pan is the perfect size for toaster/convection ovens. Jiffy cornbread muffin mixes make exactly the right amount for each cup and bake in 15 minutes in my Delonghi 1099 convection oven. I spray each cup with Pam for easy muffin release. Soak the pan in hot water for a few minutes after each use and then clean each cup with soap and water. Highly recommended.

  2. With the cost of propane being what it is, it's great to have these to use in my toaster oven, instead of heating up a big oven. Have used these multiple times and have been very happy with the quality. I've used muffin liners and have baked without the liners and both worked well. I recommend this item.

  1. I chose this because I didn't want the non-stick ones. I've used it few times and it is very good. However, because it is the first one I use, I cannot compare it to other ones.

5 comments about Chicago Metallic Gourmetware Nonstick 12-Cup Popover Pan.

  1. I did not read the comments before I ordered (lesson learned) - so I was fairly shocked when my pan arrived so see that it is a "12 cup MINI popover pan." Of course, I have the option of returning the item, but I would have to pay shipping. After waiting for over a week for my pan to arrive, I can't tell you how disappointed I am. MINI clearly didn't fit in with my popover plans! I will make a trip to Linens and Things or Target to find what I really want - so much for convenience!

  2. These pans are lovely, were reasonably priced and work great. No sticking, even baking, easy clean-up. The popovers I made in them were perfection.

  3. The product description should say that the pan is a "mini" popover pan- not a full sized one. It came with packaging that said so but I was unaware based on the description when I ordered. I should have read the reviews!

  4. I ordered this item because I had a 6-cup popover pan, but a 12-cup would be more practical when preparing meals for a larger group of people. The item arrived in a really timely manner and the quality of this item is great. This item should last for a very long time based on the quality of material used and how well made it is contructed. I am totally satisfied with the product, I have no complaints what so ever!

  5. The popovers rise high and evenly, and have a nicely textured crust. I spray the pan very lightly with Pam, and there is no problem with sticking whatsoever.

2 comments about White Jumbo Bake Cups, 500 per tube.

  1. I ordered these on Amazon because I had trouble finding large baking cups that were suitable for large muffins in the local stores. These work well. The fit a large muffin pan perfectly. The paper peels off the muffin without tearing or sticking.

I bake a lot of muffins because because these muffins are on my GI (Glycemic Index) diet. The recipe for these bran and cranberry muffins, can be found in: Living the G.I. (Glycemic Index) Diet.

Anyway, I lost 40 pounds by eating these muffins now I am just maintaining my weight by eating these on a regular basis. Consequently I bake a batch of muffins every few weeks and, consequently, purchasing baking cups in batches of 500 works for me.

I had previously lubricated my muffin pans with spray shortening. This was effective and allowing the baked muffins to slip out of the muffin pans after baking. Unfortunately it developed that the propellant used in these sprays became very sticky after baking. So much so that cleaning nonstick muffin pans became a real--and dreaded--chore.

My cop-out solution was to use baking cups instead of spray shortening. The muffins now fall out of the pan just as easily and now I have an easy cleanup afterward.

  2. Nice size, easy to use. Peel off easily after muffins cool off. Fast delivery from the seller.
