  1. I have been very disappointed lately with the non-stick coating on muffin pans. I have tried many over the last year (including Kitchen-aid, Bakers Secret, Wilton and others), and the muffins start sticking badly after about 15 uses. I am very careful in how I care for them, hand wash, no metal utensils, etc. But with the other pans I have tried the initial coating which is shiny seems to disappear quickly and then the muffins start sticking. I make muffins about four times a week and I have been using this pan for eight weeks and it is still working well. The product description says that this pan is coated inside and out with xylan. But it seems to me that the top surface of the pan has a different coating than the bottom. The top is silver and the bottom is gray. The bottom has developed scratches in it already, but I really don't care as long as the top (and inside the cups) stays intact, which it has. The only thing I do to care for it is to hand wash it fairly soon after it has cooled. And so far, the non-stick properties are performing well. By the way, this pan makes the large "Texas" size muffins.

Here is an update: after five months the silver coating is peeling. I am very disappointed. I use it about three times a week and I am very careful in cleaning and handling. It was good while it lasted, but I don't consider 5 months long enough. Shouldn't it last at least a year?!

  2. I carefully measured my toaster oven to make sure that this item would fit, but when I got it, it was bigger than the published dimensions. I gave it to someone who will get more use out of it, so I can't say much more about it.
The product description currently says 11 by 7 by 2 inches, but I think it was over 13 inches long.

  1. These baking cups are adorable, and a nice choice for spring baking, with the ladybugs and pale green color. They are also ticker than the average backing cup so they won't get stained with the oily residue when baking cupcakes or muffins, so you won't need to use a second cup. Good pick!

  1. The pan doesn't perform as stated. The muffins along the perimeter of the pan baked well enough, but the inside muffins were still underbaked, very gooey. Am extremely disappointed with this pan.

  2. I purchased one to try out, then bought a second one. They are very nice, heavy, bakeware that performs as advertised. They easily compete with Calphalon, Hoffritz, and Anolon bakeware, only 40% less expensive. The only caution, which seems true for all dark bakeware, is it cooks faster, so don't overcook.
