4 comments about Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls 20 Quart (MB-20CR).
- I have 3 kitties. They eat a raw diet (ground and some whole prey). I simply love this bowl for mixing a lot of ground meat/bones/supplements at a time. With my old stainless steel bowl I could only do around 12lbs max - with this one at least double that. I love it. I posted a review of this bowl on our kitty community, holisticat, with a link to it here at Amazon, and I am sure others will be ordering it, too.
For the price, you can't go wrong; and I was pleasantly surprised that it is actually more heavy-duty than I thought it would be.
- This is an excellent bowl, a must-have for anyone. It's large enough to have room to mix up a batch of anything, easily. I used it for my Thanksgiving stuffing and don't know how I would have managed without it.
- This is a huge bowl, perfect for people who do a lot of canning. We do a lot of canning in the summer time, and use this bowl to hold chopped veggies, juices and more. It's also good for make large batches of bread or cookie dough! Not the highest quality stainless steel, but for the price it is well worth it.
- We love these bowls when we are mixing dry kibble with a can of wet food and can usually get about 6 to 8 cups of dry and one can of wet food (13oz) and mix it perfectly without spilling food over the edges. We buy several of these at a time, they wash up great and are not too big for the diswahser for sterilization. So far they are holding up wonderfully and we would recommend this product to anyone wanting a large mixing bowl that can take a beating. We bought several so the shipping wasn't too bad once divided up per bowl.

- I bought this and have been using it on an almost daily basis for about 2.5 months. The white and black looks chic, the rubber base helps hold the bowl down so things are not splattering all over the place. The size is enough for a family size batch of pancakes, or for washing a few cups of rice. The plastic is very durable and it does not stain. I have used spices and oils in it, but no stain...the tip of it is perfect for pouring. its a really great and durable product, well worth the price :)
- Like the companion 5qt (and 3qt if we could find one in stock LOL), this is an excellent bowl to have. The non-skid base and handle really make this product special. It pours nicely - it's actually perfect for mixing up a batch of waffle or pancake mix and pouring directly onto the griddle.
We do a lot of cooking and have an extremely well-stocked kitchen including a set of glass pyrex bowls in varying sizes and a set of stainless bowls in varying sizes. More and more, we find ourselves reaching for these Oxo bowls to meet our mixing needs.
With plastic, using a hand mixer or immersion blender is always iffy. Thus far, these have held up very well to the wear of the beaters. We're very anxious to obtain the 3qt size and are so impressed with the quality, we may just buy the 5qt/3qt/1.5qt set so we can have each size, and having double of the largest and smallest will NOT be a waste. Great purchase!
- This tidy hat used for bald men in Turkey, has recently been sold in America and it makes a wonderful gift to those who don't have much on the top of their head. Washes easily with soap and butter and can be used to remove termites from hairy dogs also. Can also be used in hundreds of other ways too numerous to mention.
- If only it came with a lid! Like the prep bowls do. OXO Good Grips 4-Piece Prep Bowl Set with Lids
- This bowl is perfect for whipping up batters. Great size, pour spout is good, no mess left behind. Non-slip bottom is perfect. I use this for just about everything, from cupcake batters to putting cut-up veggies for stir-fries.

3 comments about Pyrex Sculptured 4.5-qt. Mixing Bowl with Plastic Cover.
- I had 4 of these that i had gotten several years ago, two this size and two slightly smaller. I went on amazon to see if i could get more (the pyrex shop by me closed). I use them all the time, they are a great size for mixing bowls, casseroles etc. I am able to make the food ahead of time, cover and stack in the fridge. They go from the oven to the table without any problems. Because they are glass, i put them in the oven while it is preheating to avoid the cold glass w/hot oven risk of breakage (as with all my pottery/glass pans).
- Most microwave bowls are not pretty enough to use at the table. This one is pretty and useful. What else do you want! It goes from microwave,to table to refrigerator.
- It's beautiful for putting right on the dinner table and great for salads and for mixing! I love that it has a lid too.

5 comments about Amco 6-Quart Stainless-Steel Mixing Bowl.
- I have a set of 3 different size Amco mixing bowls and use all of them frequently. This is the largest one I have and works great for mixing up meatloafs, doughs, large batches of cookies, etc. All the Amco bowls are very solid, commercial grade and stainless steel, with a nice edge for gripping and a large flat surface on the bottom so they don't move around much when mixing in them. They really hold up well over time (I've had mine for 5 years now) and go through the dishwasher if need be without a problem.
- This product was recommended to me on a site about toilet training your cat. The bowl works very well for this purpose, but I recommend taping the bowl to the toilet so it doesn't slide around. The excellent construction of the bowl makes a resounding clang if the bowl falls into the toilet and this is not helpful when encouraging your cat to try something new.
I'm assuming that after I run the bowl through the dishwasher a few thousand times it will be an excellent mixing bowl. Until then, it is a very sturdy and highly recommended tool for cat training.
- This bowl is so useful in the kitchen. If only it could go in the microwave it would be the only bowl I would ever need. I use it frequently for melting chocolate for brownies over a saucepan of simmering water. It is the perfect size for mixing up a batch of cookies or biscuits. The stainless steel is easy to clean and beautiful. The rim is wider on these bowls than on other brands of stainless bowls I have had in the past and makes the bowl easier to handle. You may find less expensive bowls at the big discount retailers, but you will not find the quality of the Amco bowls.
- I have owned this bowl for 2 years, and absolutely love everything about it. It's sturdy, but fairly light weight which makes it easy to manuever when turning the bowl or when pouring or scooping batter or dough out of it. I have a very high speed electric hand mixer, and the size and shape of this bowl work well to prevent splatter with cake batter. I bought this bowl for my sister, who is also thrilled with it. I plan to buy one for my mother as well, who has arthritic hands and needs something easy to grip and handle.
- I should've listened to the previous reviewer. I'm not sure how these bowls are normally measured, but even though it claims a 6-quart capacity, in my tests using a liquid measuring cup, this bowl only holds up to 19 cups (4.75 quarts) before spilling over, which of course is an impractical level to fill a bowl. So 4 quarts is probably more accurate, and even then I'd be worried about mixing stuff over the edge depending on what's in it.
In spite of this, I've happily used it to mix dough and fillings, and as part of a makeshift double boiler with a 3qt pot. It's a sturdy stainless steel mixing bowl with a flat bottom and a brushed metal appearance, nothing special. It doesn't have a rubber bottom like some brands, but you can always put a rubber mat or damp kitchen towel under it if that bothers you. Just make sure you aren't actually planning on putting more than a gallon of stuff in it at one time.

5 comments about Old Dutch Copper Beating Bowls and Whisk, Set of 3.
- These bowls are beautiful and the price is very reasonable. Couldn't find them cheaper anywhere else. They are a very nice addition to my copper collection. Shipping for the item was very fast.
Loved them!
- The product itself was outstanding. The shipping service is another story: There had been a major storm in this area and the shipping company took it upon themselves to forward to a post office address rather than the physical address which I had requested. The product did not arrive as expected. It was a gift and I was in another Country. I advised both Amazon and the product company and the product company immediately delivered another set. When I returned to the States and went to the Post Office, I had a postal charge but I also had another set of bowls, which I will now see what I need to do to pay for the second set, hopefully minus the shipping charge. - Birthday gift and my mom, great southern cook, was thrilled with them. that made me thrilled.

- Obviously the main reviewer did not do a simple google search, because if he did he would know that scientists do indeed know why egg whites whip up better in copper bowls: check out chemistry.about.com/library/weekly/blcopperegg.htm (no www.). And the rounded bottom is also helpful for whipping egg whites, although not for setting the bowl on a table or counter.
- I love these bowls! I got them out of their box to display them on shelves, and discovered their bottoms are rounded. I can't imagine why this would be useful in any way.
Unfortunately, I have no wall space to hang them.
They are beautiful, though!

5 comments about All-Clad Stainless Mixing Bowl Set.
- Taking a "You only live once view . . .", I decided to retire my 40 year old set of bowls and splurge on All Clad. I wanted to compare them with the Cuisinart set of 4 w/lids for less, but couldn't find any in the stores with which to compare. The bowls arrived earlier than expected in perfect condition in a factory box, and they are things of beauty, and feel more like tools than bowls. . . perfectly weighted, beautifully polished, and comfortable in the hands. They should last forever. The bowls are an equal in quality to All Clad cookware, IMHO.
- Beautiful bowls in a wonderful array of sizes. I love the handles. So many of the mixing bowls do not have handles and these are sized to make them very useful and easy to handle. A lifetime investment.
- I received these as a Christmas gift 5 years ago, and they still look new. The stainless steel has a nice weight, without being too heavy. The deep bowls and steep sides make spills and splashes very rare, and the generous handle makes mixing and whipping a breeze. Although they are a lot more expensive than others, these do an excellent job.
- IT,S THE ONLY DISSAPOINTMENT I HAVE. THOU THEY ARE EVERYTHING THE OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVE SAID AND THEN SOME!!!! THE 7 QUART IS NEXT!!!! OVERALL BEING MADE IN CHINA THE PRICE COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CHEAPER. I LIKE THEM JUST THE SAME.
- I am very pleased with my new Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set.
It is easy to clean, easy to use and looks great too. It does an especially nice job with whipping cream and dough ... the SS gets nice and cold in the freezer.

5 comments about Flex-It Prep Bowls.
- I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this item. All 3 bowls are the same size and come with plastic lids. This in not what I expected. The picture clearly shows 3 different size bowls that are nesting without lids. I got 3 identical sized small bowls that WILL NOT fit into each other(nest). I called customer service to inform them that the picture does not match the item; they didn't understand! I returned for REFUND!
- These a practical, durable and cute. I have only just begun to use them, but they are what they claim to be - a relatively firm and thick silicone bowl set with lids that go on slightly awkwardly, but do infact do the trick. Practical and useful - as a big-time cook, I would recommend these!
- The product description states these are "1 QT. Classic Mixing bowls". I just got the shipment yesterday, and these bowls are 2 cups capacity (which is half of 1 quart, last time I checked). They appear good for prep and small mixtures, but certainly not I would consider classic mixing bowl, due to their small capacity.
The product description also says "they are stackable!" -- this is not quite as expected, as they do not nestle together very efficiently; about 1/3 of the bowl sticks out, so they are not nearly as efficient, as the usual plastic containers.
I have not used them much so no other comment. I assume (and hope!) that they quality and durability are good.
- i bought these for my son-in-law and he is really enjoying them
he cooks every day so they are used often
- Silicone is amazing for its durability, light weight, ability to withstand heat, and often (including these bowls) flexibility. I wanted to invent these several years ago, then found they were available to dentists for mixing cups. Of course, those were an ugly color and even though my dentist offered to order them for me, I declined. The absolute BEST thing about silicone is that nothing sticks to it, making cleanup super simple. These cups are perfect for cereal, berries, yogurt, ANYTHING, including food prep. Oh, and unbreakable and almost noiseless when it drops. Do you have little ones? I use these all day, every day. A quick rinse and it's ready for the next use. The lids that are included do a great job for that half finished food item: cover and into the fridge. They seems tight enough to go in a lunch box, but I haven't tested that yet. You can pinch the sides together for pouring, almost like a funnel. Enjoy.

5 comments about Le Creuset 2.75-Quart Soup Pot.
- I own this in Flame, and use it all the time - in fact, there's a chicken pot pie in the oven as I type. It's lightweight compared to the 5 - 9 Quart French ovens, so it's more maneuverable on the stove top and in the oven, which I appreciate. Its smaller capacity and tapered shape is perfect for 3-person curries, large side dishes, soups and sauces. I also really like it as a vessel for chilling and serving pasta salad and cole slaw.
Though it's an authentic piece of Le Creuset, this item is no longer on their USA website; the larger, 4.25 Quart soup pot is the only size listed. Amazon has slowly phased out several of the colors in the past few months - so if you're interested in an agile, affordable cast iron gem, act soon!
- I got this soup pot a week ago and since then I have been using it all the time---for soup, porridge, risotto, moderate portion of stewing and much more. It's large enough for 2-3 persons, while its medium size won't occupy too much space in the kitchen. It also serves perfectly as a presentable dish itself and the classic flame colour always lightens up the whole table. Absolutely love it!
- I purchased my soup pot through amazon.com, fast shipping and couldn't pass up the $99 sale price. This is my first soup pot, and I love the size, just perfect for stews and soup. It's sturdy and beautiful,I have the flame color. I have been collecting the Le Creuset cookware, I have the 3qt. buffet, 5 qt.dutch oven, large fry pan, 2 qt. saute pan. It is pricey but well worth the price, these will last forever. I'm saving up for the 6.5 qt wide dutch oven.Buy the soup pot you will not regret it!
- I have several Le Creuset pieces but I have to say this soup pot is my favorite. I use it almost everyday. Not only it is good for soups but I use it for everything. It cooks rice to perfection. The also good about this particular pot is that the cap is not really heavy. We all know the only drawback of cast iron is being heavy but this actually a lightweight perfect cast iron pot. It's worth every penny.
- It is very good product as I expected. Delivery wasn't that good but I am happy with it.

4 comments about Oxo Good Grips Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl, 5-Quart.
- I love this bowl and will be ordering the other 2 sizes in this style. The all over grip works perfect and the stainless steel interior comes clean with ease, and no spotting!
- I just can't say enough good things about these bowls. I bought a set of them to replace some plastic ones that broke, and I'm just delighted.
The entire outside surface is coated with grippy, black "oxo" rubber. The inside is a high quality brushed stainless steel bowl with a wide rim. They are fantastic for whipping eggs, getting a bowl of popcorn, you name it.
I've heard that they have discontinued the small bowl from the set, so if you find one of those and want it you should get it while you can.
- These bowls are great (I ordered all of the sizes). No more tea towels under my mixing bowls to keep them from sliding from one end of the counter to the other. These bowls are quite heavy (compared to my previous stainless bowls from Wms Sonoma) and the nonskid exterior really keeps these puppies from sliding (and scratching!). I like stainless as it does not hold odors or stain like plastic. Great to use chilled for whipping cream or egg whites. These are my new favorite bowls!!
- This is one of the best purchases I have made. I am confident enough to use it with my powerful hand mixer and it does not slip or slide! It is great if chilled for whipping cream or egg whites! Also makes a nice serving piece at picnics or potlucks! Goes straight into the dishwasher or wipes clean easily. Just get it before it is discontinued!
