  1. These are just not high quality bowls; they are not very heavy (maybe compared with a dollar store) but you could easily bend them by hand. But specifically the problem with these bowls are 1) mine were already starting to rust in spots on the inside upon shipment from Amazon 2) there was damage to the top rim which looks like it originated from the factory 3) the plastic lids were terrible smelling, terrible fit and very thin and floppy. There is also only 1 hook in on the side of the bowls.

I had purchased this to replace a set of similar size bowls from Ikea that were plastic and only 2.99; well these were not an upgrade by any means. They also did not have anything on the bottom to prevent slipping.

  2. Bowls are exactly what I was looking for. Although the lid does fit the bowl, it is not very tight, but it does what I want it to do and that is cover the contents for refrigeration. I am happy with the purchase!

  3. I bought these bowls as a Christmas gift for my daughter and she loves them! The are a nice, heavy stainless steel, with measurement markings on the side. The lids are snug fitting and I'm sure this set will serve her well for many years to come.
They are nicer than any of my current bowls so I'm consider orering myself a set as well. For the reasonable price, you won't be disappointed.

  4. Since childhood, way too many years ago, Mom had a set of stainless steel mixing bowls, which we used every day. I finally decided to get a set and this was the best I could find. We now use them everyday, for baking, mixing, or just as a bowl for snacks.

  1. This bowl cleverly traps food into staying in a specific area by using gravity to "push it" into a curved surface as it falls towards the earth.

Simple and excellent design, and attractive yellow color.

  2. This is a beautiful SERVING bowl, but pay attention to the size listed; it is much TOO shallow to be a Mixing Bowl. It arrived quickly and was packaged very well.

  3. I ordered a 12 piece place setting and a couple of the extra pieces in the cinnabar color. I haven't received the dishes yet only this bowl but it is perfect! I just spent a fortune on linens for my kitchen in a cranberry and tan plaid and this matches sooooo perfect. I will be using this bowl as a serving bowl rather than a mixing bowl. Can't wait for the rest of my items to come.

  1. This is an ideal measuring glass to serve between a full cup and a shot glass. I use egg whites instead of eggs for cooking and baking: 2 tbsp = one egg. This is great for recipes calling for two or three eggs.

  2. If you need to measure out Himalayan Goji Juice, or any other juice, syrups, medicine, etc., this is a FANTASTIC glass. It measures by the oz., ml, tbsp, and tsp.

If you cook and need precise measuring, this is the one to get. Most pyrex or other measuring cups, don't have milliliter markings, and this one goes by every 10 ml.

indispensible for cooking and measuring medicine !!!!!

also, it is made of heavy glass, like pub glass, so it won't corrode or have issues like some other plastic measuring cups.

  1. Have used this for 2 weeks (exactly 14 uses) and already the rim of the bowl is separating from the rest of the piece! It looked perfect and beautiful when it arrived. It has never hit the floor. We hand wash it and hand dry it directly after each use. I wanted this to be a toxin-free unbreakable dish for my toddler...and bought it as a test before buying a whole bunch of them...this type of quality is not going to work out. I'm saddened that I can't buy more and also really upset that it didn't last longer!!!!!!
If you want a small, pretty bowl then go ahead but don't buy it if you plant to actually use it!

  2. This bowl has a very nice pattern. It feels sturdy, as though it will hold up to a lot of use. Plus, it is made out of bamboo. It has a great look. I used it to serve sushi rice at a party and I thought it was perfect.

  1. i have a couple different sizes of these bowls. these rather small bowls are cute (i have one in red)and the lid is an added bonus. Its a quick prep for small batches of pancake batter (for one child), or if you need to quickly mix baby cereal. You can also use it to store and refridgerate items that would not need to be reheated, such as left over pieces of cake, cold appetizers, or cut up pieces of sandwich. Of course I keep referring to children because it really wont hold an adult portion, unless you would like to keep seperate cut-up veggies in each bowl so that a quick salad would be easy to throw together. Clean up is a breeze; with the smooth curves you get nothing stuck in crevices. Great product. watch the size just to be on the safe side.

  2. OXO Good Grips 4-Piece Prep Bowl Set with Lids

I guess I could have read the description for the size of the bowls but they are so small that they aren't that useful. holds a couple of eggs to mix. If you need larger than that too bad.

  3. These bowls are the perfect size for leftovers, etc. The lids fit well and are easy to put on. I like the non skid bottoms.

  4. THESE are neat bowls! When I was ordering them I thought...are you
ordering these because they are 'cute' or because you will actually
USE THEM?! Well, they are both cute AND useful! I use them daily.
They hold over a cup of product and cover completely. The cover is
a hard plastic that just fits down into the bowl itself with a little
drop lip thing. These really are great, a good addition as a gift
if you purchase the set of 3 nested mixing bowls =)

  5. I recently purchased several sets of these bowls to have on hand for prep and storage. So far, the bowls are excellent. They are extremely well made, well designed, non-skid, and wash up nicely. Unfortunately the lids are not too well designed and they do not make a tight seal, so these cannot be used for transporting food, but they will work fine for storing food in the refrigerator. OXO does not recommend using these in the microwave, so they do have their limitations. The one cup capacity is perfect for storing leftovers, and the bowls stack nicely in the cupboards. If you need some high quality, inexpensive prep and storage containers, you will love these.

  1. This bowl is really stunning. I didn't want to spend the sixty dollars on it, but I also wanted to find a good bowl to make artisan breads in; I needed the size of the bowl and the stoneware was perfect. I had a hard time finding anything this size that was not metal! After I received it I realized I am going to need a place to display it now, it's so attractive in and of itself! Very heavy, very high quality, solid and HUGE bowl. Highly recommend it if you don't mind spending the price for it. But if you are looking for a good bread bowl, this is the cheapest I could find out of clay, ceramic or stoneware bowls of this size, not much choice out there!

  2. I bought this bowl to raise bread dough in, and it is definitely large enough and heavy enough for that purpose. My only regret is the price--I have entire sets of mixing bowls that didn't cost this much!
