1. I've been using these measuring cups for approximately 1 month. They feel sturdy enough, however I can feel a slight "give" with the handle when using for heavier ingredients. (e.g: brown sugar)After reading all the reviews of handles breaking off I've been trying to support the weight of the cup not with the handle, but with the base of the cup itself. So far they are holding up well.



2. I buy everything and anything that Cooks Illustrated recommends. When I needed a gift for my friend I knew she needs some quality measuring cups and these were recommended so I bought them. She is really happy and will probably never have to replace them the rest of her life.



3. We've had Williams Sonoma measuring cups for years and wanted to have a few extra. These Amco cups are a slightly lighter guage metal than the Williams Sonoma but have been serviceable for the several months we've been using them. The Williams Sonoma are better, but these are a good deal.



4. I was concerned when I bought these and saw that the handles and cups are two separate pieces (it's just something that can break). Well, they broke. I was drying off the 1-cup today and the handle just fell off... I wasn't even applying any force. They have never even been in a dishwasher. What a piece of junk. I bought them because they are recommended by Alton Brown -- but now I'm going to look for something that is better quality. AVOID THESE, THEY WILL BREAK.



5. I purchased because they were recommended by Cooks Illustrated. Would purchase again. Excellent quality.

1. I'm no kitchen utensil connoisseur, but I can confidently say that even if this set only lasts a couple of years, it is still worth the money spent. It looks much nicer than my old (equally priced) set of cheap plastic measuring spoons. Didn't bother to read the care instructions and I'm sure they would last longer if I were to hand wash them... but at this price they are disposable. So, I'll just keep tossing them in the dishwasher until they give up the ghost... and then order another set. Recommended.



2. These measuring spoons are heavy-gauge stainless steel, probably a little thicker and heavier than they need to be for measuring spoons. They are round, and except for the smallest ones, will not fit into small or medium-mouth spice bottles. I think an oblong shape is more appropriate for measuring spoons.



3. I use the tablespoon size one to mold my coconut macaroons, I put a lot of pressure to try and compact the coconut mixture, and the spoon holds its shape nicely.
   These spoons are well-made and the price is great. I'm going to buy a set for my niece, who is just starting to take interest in baking.



4. These are poorly made, they seem to be made of a very cheap stainless steel, and there are marks on each of the spoons and handles which make them look like they've been used. I'm not sure if I just got a bad set because all the other reviews seem good.



5. Like everyone else I've had plenty of measuring spoons. The one's I've had were either plastic or aluminum. This time I decided to trade up and am impressed with the quality of these spoons as they should last much longer if I don't lose them. I would add that the stainless steel cleans up more easily and you aren't afraid to scour them if necessary.

1. I was looking for a durable and high quality measuring spoon set. THESE ARE EXCELLENT! They seem very strong but not big or bulky. Would definitely purchase these again for myself or as a gift.



2. I bought these because of the feel and look. However, they are functional as well. The curved end allows you to place them on a counter without spilling their contents. They are very sturdy and accurate too. The price was the same as other ones I looked at that were not as sturdy or nice.
   
   I also purchased the measuring cups that match these. They were a bit pricey and I usually don't buy matching sets, but the quality and looks sold me.
   
   I research a lot of my kitchen tools before buying, but measuring cups and spoons are just not that special enough to nitpick over functionality. Buy these because they are high quality and good looking.



3. Much heavier weight than expected -- the metal must be 2 or 2.5mm thick! not of the super-smooth, perfectly polished edge quality of metalwork, but they will outlive me for sure. (not that they have rough or sharp edges, think rustic, handmade jewelry -- not all the bowls are same thickness)

5. These spoons are lovely... High quality, nice heavy feel... And I love how they stand up when you set them down so your spices stay on the spoon. Great addition to your kitchen tools collection!

1. The other reviewer was right when she said,"These are the last measuring spoons you'll ever need." The are heavy, durable, and were built to last. Buy these and save yourself the trouble of having to buy replacements later down the line.



2. These are the last measuring spoons you'll ever need. They're heavier and more durable than necessary, which I like, and the odd sizes are very convenient without adding too much clutter to the tool drawer.

1. Not only do they look good and feel sturdy in your hand, these cups are accurate and easy to scoop and level. I saw an earlier review claiming the wider top meant less accuracy; however, recipes are never accurate when calling for cups/tablespoons/teaspoons anyway (temperature, humidity, and elevation change things too). I use my scale when I need accuracy.
   
   They are more expensive than most other cups, but I bought them more for their look and feel than functionality. I don't think measuring cups deserve that much attention (spend more effort researching your knives and appliances). If you are looking for cups, you can't go wrong with these. If you have reservations on price, buy some other ones. Either way, your recipes won't know the difference, only you will.



2. These are VERY well-made. They feel great in your hand and are nice to look at as well. The wide mouth on the 1-cup can be a little difficult to measure flour with, but it doesn't bother me. I like the low, wide look of the cups. Gave this item 4 stars because a 3/4 cup measure would have been a nice addition. It's an unnecessary pain to measure out 1/2 then 1/4 cup.

4. I was going to buy these off Amazon, until I actually saw and handled them at a Bed Bath & Beyond store. As another reviewer mentioned, the cups are very wide and shallow, leaving a lot of room for error. The halfway marks are even less useful since there's no way to level it off half-filled (unless you're measuring liquids, which really shouldn't be done with a dry measuring cup anyway).
   
   It's a shame, since the Amco Advanced Performance spoons are very well-designed. I'm probably going to go with the MIU stainless steel cups instead.



5. After yet another set up measuring cups got tossed with broken handles and dinged up cups, I got these. Even measuring cup banging by the kids has not dented them and I see no way on earth for the handle to come off. I considered the All Clad for $40, but those still have riveted handles which will come off some day.
