1. I actually bought this lid for use with another brand of cookware. It's perfect - pyrex glass, stainless steel screw holding the knob on, and a brass screw-socket in the plastic knob to keep the knob from loosening. (But don't put a metal screw in the microwave...)
   
   Berndes pans are European/centimeter sized, so this lid isn't really 9-1/2 inches, it's really 24 cm. I bought it for my Mauviel 6 quart stew-pan, and it also fits really well on my 9.5 inch (also really 24 centimeter) Sitram skillet.



2. Their lids have a plastic handle. And they melt, totally, if (foolishly) used in the microwave. And the whole thing then comes apart. Now I have to hope to find a replacement part. They are not constructed securely to begin with.....

1. I bought a fry pan for this from a different place, finding it $40 cheaper was the reason. problem is, the skillet does not come with this lid(why not!?!!?) so i had to buy it separatly. I was lucky that amazon had it. The lid is good, just like for other berndes cookware i own. Only downside is that the handle gets a little hot, so use a towel. But, the lid is mandatory for any fry pan. Just a shame, that they do not come together.

1. This lid is wonderful. I can see all my cooking and easy to clean. I drop it once yet never broke:)

1. Thank goodness someone still makes standard see-thru lids! Much preferred to the standard lids.



2. What can one say about a lid? I hesitated to order the lid because it cost more than I thought it should, but I needed a lid that size. Now that I have it, I'm glad I ordered it--the quality far exceeds my expectations.

1. I had waited a long time for this top, because they were formally shipping them from China or wherever with the knob screwed on the inside! I really like this top. Fits snugly on the pan, and has comfortable handle.
