  1. This is VERY heavy, nothing like bakers secret or whatever it is I bought at walmart. But I hadn't realized from the picture that it isn't straight along the edge, which, if you're actually making a jelly roll, or cinnamon rolls, or the like, you probably want it straight. It is about 9 1/2 inches across at the ends and 10 1/4 or more in the middle. Also, it suggests you cook 25 degrees less, which I hadn't realized it fell in the "dark coated" pan category. and for metal utensils, it's not supposed to be a knife and is not warranted if you use a knife. OH, and I thought I'd love the larger lip but I bought 2 of these to fit side-by-side on one rack and they don't because of the lip. They don't even fit straight into my oven, I have to put them sideways like my 18x13 I was buying 2 of these to replace.

5 comments about Chicago Metallic Professional 3-Piece Nonstick Jelly-Roll Pan Set.

  1. The first set of pans I received had scratches on the cooking surface due to poor packaging by the Mfg. Amazon promptly replaced the damaged pan set and I am very pleased with the quality of these pans. They are heavy weight and do not warp in the oven as my previous pans did. One thing in the instructions I would take with a grain of salt is to set the oven temperature 25 degrees lower than called for in the recipe. I would recommend these pans.

  2. I hoped against hope that my pans would arrive in good condition but they did not. I purchased from Amazon's open box / returns subsidiary, warehouse_deals but was very disappointed. They were described as open box, sealed in Amazon brown box and did not have "cosmetic blemishes" as the other two offers described. However, the plastic wrap was not intact, and, although the small pan looked great, the middle pan had a big scratch (down to the metal) on the rolled edge and the largest one was all beat up - dented and lumpy and a 4 inch wide scrape all across the back of the pan as well as inside. What a mess! I am not sure if putting in some kind of paper or dividers would help against scratching from the manufacturer -- it could scratch the pans as well. Since they are non-stick front and back, they probably easily slide around on each other.

I am sure the pans would be great if not beat up -- but non-stick will not work if the pan is scratched (especially from the start). These would start rusting right away from the scratches. I would not recommend putting them in the dishwasher once they had any scratches. I thought maybe I could just use parchment paper but the seller had a problem with their email auto-replies and never answered me about a possible discount so I returned the pan set.

  3. These are the economy Chicago Metallic pans. The better quality Chicago Metallic pans cost $20+ each, instead of $20 for a set of three. These pans rust, even though the label reads dishwasher-safe. After using them, I realize its much better to spring for the better pans, or better yet get reasonably priced professional quality aluminum pans, and use parchment or silpats.

  4. I love it! I have been looking for some heavy duty cooking pans and never found them. Now I have them thanks to Amazon. They cook up beautifully. I will be looking on Amazon from now on for items that are hard to find. I really like the jelly roll edges on the pans.

    Thanks you so much!

  5. Heavy weight professional pans that don't warp in the oven. Great buy!

2 comments about Wilton Excelle Elite 13 1/4 By 9 1/4 Inch Small Cookie Sheet.

  1. This is going to seem like a petty complaint, but it's important for anyone (like me) who is looking for a small cookie sheet to fit in the toaster oven: Including the generous oversized handles, this sheet actually measures 17" x 10-3/8". It is a great cookie sheet, though, and I will keep it to use in the full-sized oven.

  2. I have 3 of these cookie sheets in different sizes and they're great. They nest into each other, if you have the small, medium, and large one, plus they are very easy to clean. The handles on the side make it easy to get in and out of the oven and everything I've baked on them has turned out great.

3 comments about Calphalon Classic Bakeware 12-by-17-Inch Rectangular Nonstick Jelly Roll Pan.

  1. The Calphalon Classic jelly roll pan is great for baking. Compared to the Simply Calphalon pan that it replaced, it (1) is much more lightweight and (2) doesn't tend to burn results as often. I find that results are evenly heated with less over-browning on the bottoms of baked goods. Cleanup is very simple as is the case with all Calphalon products.

Like other reviewers, I've heard some pops when heating over 400 degrees, but it's nothing to worry about because the pan has always retained its shape.

  2. I received this pan as a wedding gift- I was sure with the calphalon name behind it that it would be a good pan. I was wrong- it says it is oven safe to 450, but I have found it is not- I even use an oven thermometer too so I know how hot my oven actually is. I used it the first time to roast some veggies at 450 and it warped. It did pop back to regular shape but the next time I put it in the oven (only 350 this time) it warped again! I can send the pan to calphalon- but by the time I pay for shipping I might as well put that money towards a better pan. I'm looking now at the Chicago Metallic jelly roll pan- it is rated for 550 versus 450. I am very dissapointed. I don't know if it's only the "classic" line from calphalon or not, but I wouldn't bother with this one.

  3. I've had 2 of these pans for 6 months now and use them frequently for cookies and as a drip catcher under pies, etc. They perform beautifully, well worth paying a little more for. They clean up easily, nothing sticks to them. As with all non-stick cookware, can't use metal utensils. I'm not a huge fan of nylon spatulas, but do use one with these pans.

One complaint though. The pans will sometimes 'pop' when put cold into a hot oven. For me this is no big deal since I don't use them to make jelly roll cakes. I wonder if this would cause a problem for jelly roll cakes. Anyway, they do return immediately to their original flat shape and have not caused any problems with my cookies.

All in all, I'm very happy with this product.

  1. I like the pan alright. It does warp when in the oven heating which I thought it wouldn't so thats disappointing and its kinda big for storing. But I like the silicone grip and it is non stick...so for the price...not a bad cookie sheet.
