  1. I haven't used all of the items in this set, but the ones I used are great. Definitely not sticky.
The handles do get hot, but just use oven mits.
    Good quality.

  2. Ive been using this set for about 2 months now. So far there are no signs of wear. They feel sturdy and cook evenly. I'm pretty happy with them. A similar set from Beds, Bath, and Beyond will run $200-500. I had a similar style set that I bought at Sam's Wholesale Club. I believe the brand was Member's Mark. They were wearing out pretty quickly and for some reason the oil seemed to stain the sides. But with this set it's not the case. I'm guessing the metal is a harder one.

  3. My tender hands find the handles on the covers don't stay cool enough for me to use without pot holders. It's also heavier than I expected, but I guess eventually I will build up some muscles in my arms to easily handle the bigger pots. The width of the steamer insert makes it easy for me to steam larger plates of food!

  4. I had an old set of these pans for the last 10 years. They still are really in good shape. I seen these on sale and just had to get a spare for when my old ones finally give out.I love them!!

  5. The non stick coating on this set is fantastic. You can easily cook eggs and meat without any need for oils or spray. The lids fit well, and the pans feel good in your hand. The handles on the stockpots heat up pretty quickly, but all of the pans and pots are oven safe, so that's a big plus if you like to transfer from the stovetop to the oven. Great set. Watch the price because it fluctuates a lot. I got mine for $149 here on amazon.

  1. This little skillet has come in so useful . . . in fact, now that my fruit trees are bearing, I may make nothing but crepes for breakfast for the rest of the summer! With this skillet, it's almost as easy and quick as making pancakes.

  2. This is my second purchase of exactly the same skillet. Most of the cookware I use is the Anolon Advanced because of their excellent heat distribution and non-stick qualities. I have tried others but Anolon Advanced is still my favorite. Allows for healthy essentially fat-free cooking. The outside finish is also very easy to clean.

  3. I love Anolon pans. I got this one to complete the set
    I purchased.

  4. LOVE ANALON but this is about the size pan to fry just a egg. I am slowly replacing my pots and pans with analon products. They are great as far as non stick goes you can make anything from ribs to cakes and the pans are as easy as a wipe down. I got the 5qt stock pot also that is way too small.
    5 stars quailty
    5 stars price [I paid 19]
    3 stars for the rest
I will never really use this except for saute' onions, peppers etc.

  5. Very heavy and well made. Nothing sticks to it. Easy to clean. Great price too. A must have!

  1. These pans are an excellent value. They are well made and easy to clean. They heat evenly and the clear lids make covered cooking very easy.

  2. My wife loves her new pots for cooking. I do the clean up and it is much better than our previous T-Fal set.

  3. We have bought several other pieces in the last six months, and have never been so impressed with cookware. However, we were disappointed when we received the 8-piece set since it wasn't quite what was described. Instead of a 1-qt saucepan it was 1.5-qt, and instead of 3-qt saute, it was a 10-in skillet. I'm not sure where to go from here because I also bought a 10-in skillet separately.....

  4. I love Advanced Analon cookware. I have been cooking with it for over 3 years and purchased this set to replace another brand of non-stick cookware. The first piece of Advanced Analon I bought was the 3 quart pot with the pouring lip. I use this all the time for draining off liquids from veggies and pasta. Try it, I think you will be happy with the quality, the glass lids, and weight of this brand of cookware.

  5. Let me first say that Analon seems to be fantastic cookware. I bought this 8 piece set for my wife a few weeks ago and I can't complain about the cookware itself so 5 stars for that. However, that being said, the contents of this set are mislabeled and have been for almost 2 years according to other reviews. Below is what is listed as the contents:
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
This 8-piece set outfits a kitchen with essential pots and pans. It consists of 1-quart and 2-quart saucepans with lids; a 10-inch, 3-quart sauté pan; an 8-quart stockpot with a lid; and an 8-inch skillet. This cookware carries a lifetime warranty against defects should be hand washed. --Fred Brack

    What's in the Box
1-quart saucepan with lid; 2-quart saucepan with lid; 10-inch, 3-quart sauté pan; 8-quart stockpot with lid; 8-inch skillet
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

You WILL NOT get the 3-quart saute pan. In its place you will receive a 10-inch open skillet. A rather serious downgrade but the set is still well worth the money. Just know what you are actually getting.

5 comments about Anolon Advanced 3-1/2-Quart Covered Straining Saucepan.

  1. I consider this one of the most helpful items that I've purchase in a long while. I've found a dozen uses for this pot and it is so esy to keep clean and so useful.

  2. I love this saucepan. I have used it for everything from boiling potatoes to deep frying artichokes and it has handled every task very well. I use it often and it has become one of my favorite pans.

I love that it is extra deep. The self-straining lid makes it easy to boil food and saves dirty dishes. It feels sturdy and well-made and I like the soft feel of the handle. Clean-up is easy.

    I recommend it highly.

  3. I really like this saucepan. I bought it for the straining function. But I found it gets used all the time. It is very easy to clean inside out.

  4. We burned up our old one and this is better than the one that came withour original set. The "pour" lid feature is great for removing liquids before serving

  5. I absolutely love this pan! The straining feature is fantastic! The pan is heavy so I rest it against the side of the sink to help hold it steady. The handles stay cool so you don't need a potholder but you might want to use one to protect against the heat from the steam. I recently acquired the 10-pc. set of Anolon Advanced cookware and am very happy with it. The thing that bothers me most about the cookware is it takes a little longer to cook things because you can't use high heat. Boiling water takes a long time. The cookware is very sturdy and is a breeze to clean. So easy that it's not a big deal that it isn't dishwasher safe.

5 comments about Anolon Advanced 18-by-10-Inch Double Burner Griddle.

  1. Product did what it is it supposed to do. I read reviews on this product from America's Test Kitchen and I had been looking for a griddle pan to make pancakes. The pan worked very well and my pancakes came out better than anything I have ever used in the past. It even worked out well on an electric burner (old oven) since the heat distribution is as good as the reviews said it was. I would highly recommend this product and the price was very good.

  2. I agree with the reviewers who detailed how lightweight, nonstick, and evenly heated this griddle is, but I have had a different experience than those who found it warped. I set it on several surfaces in my kitchen, and it laid perfectly flat every time. Perhaps there was a bad batch, or Anolon has corrected the problem.

Anyway, another reason I love this griddle is for how quickly it heats. With it I need a lower heat setting than with my heavy Anolon skillet, and my pancakes cook significantly faster (I actually burned the first 2). I can whip out a stack in about 1/3 the time I did before, which makes me more likely to do more complicated recipes (like yogurt and banana pancakes-mmm) or add bacon and eggs to a meal.

Add all this to the fact that I paid 1/2 the price on Amazon than what I found it for in a department store (and got free 2 day shipping with Prime), and I could not be happier with my purchase.

  3. All of the analon advanced products are wonderful; easy to clean, sear well, etc. They are rated well. The griddle has a drip corner to pour off liquid.

  4. The griddle works fairly well, however, on our flat stove top, with the pan being slightly warped, it does not evenly heat up the entire surface at the same temperature.

  5. Seems flat when cool, but when on cooktop and hot, one whole end sits almost 1/4" above the cooktop surface. Causes big problems with the heat limiter circuitry on modern ceramic cooktops! Look elsewhere.

  1. I bought this pan 5 months ago and it is the BEST non stick cookware I have used in a long time! I had given up on the non-stick cookware due it it not holding up after several months. A friend of mine has a whole set if this cookware and has had it for 2 yrs, so I decided to give it a try and I absolutely like cooking with it...easy clean up afterwards!

  2. this is my 4th anolon advanced purchase. they are made to last. i am slowly replacing all my pans with these.

  3. We purchased the Analon 10" and 12" a couple of months ago. Our choice of Analon was based on reviews posted here. Must say, the most positive reviews were not exaggerations. They are both great.

  4. For $40 this pan cannot be beat. Just be sure to always use wood, silicon or plastic on the inside, never metal, it will eventually get scratched. I feel this pan is as nice as the All-Clad version and it's less than half the price! I also love the handle, very secure and "grippy." Even cooking and super non-stick. What more do you want?

  5. ok, so the small Anolon Advanced open French skillet is scratched, but it actually works great. No problem, the scratches are not real deep and it doesn't cause sticking. I love it because it is so easy to clean. Just use hot water, swipe with a paper towel and " oh my goodness" it is clean. Want to try the dirty? Like use a heavy load of cheese on a grilled cheese sandwhich... and still hot water and paper towel and u r done. And hey, these things really are pricey on the market, so a scratch here and there is ok as long as it is not nickle deep. Smile. Seriously people, it works so well I enjoy heating up a cup of chili in it. I only gave it four stars cause of the scratches. Did I say scrathes? Overall the price is just fine, cause I believe... if I live that long... I will be using this for a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG TIME> Smile.

  1. Excellent quality skillet. Non-stick surface does an exceptional job just don't use HIGH heat. Time will tell as to how scratch proof the non-stick coating is.

  2. This is one of the better pans I have owned. It has good weight and balance and the second handle is a must in this size of pan. The nonstick surface is great but only time will tell how it wears.

Keep in mind that this is a French skillet and was much deeper than I expected.

Overall very happy with my purchase. Quick 4 day delivery with Amazon free shipping a plus!

  3. Wow, I more or less just wasted my $43 on this skillet. I'd return it, but it will do as a 12 inch skillet for me. But I am very disappointed.

I had a T-Fal skillet that measured about 11 inches at the base, with a gradual slope up the sides that would allow me to pile a fairly good amount of fish, or pork chops in the pan quite easily. I have no idea where it came from, I may have gotten it by default when I got married. It has served me well over the years.

But it has some scratches and the non-stick coating is getting rough (still doesn't stick, looks like it is slightly bubbling.) I read that this means it is time for a new pan.

So I came here looking for a slightly bigger pan to replace it, as I always seem to have one filet or chop that won't quite fit or I have to cram the food in tightly.

So I settled on the Anolon 14 inch skillet that I am reviewing here. I also ordered a Revere Convenience 12-Inch Skillet thinking it could replace my smaller 10 inch pan that was also showing some scratches.

I received the Anolon 14 inch skillet and hauled out my tape measure and it has roughly a 10 1/2 inch base. The same as the cheaper, and smaller sized Rever Convenience 12-Inch Skillet. The top is 14 inches in diameter, but the base is the same as my 12 inch skillet.

How is that helpful? This is just a more expensive, takes up more space on the stovetop skillet with the same cooking surface area of my 12 inch Revere skillet!

I am not happy at all with this. The sides are very gradually sloped, so I can see that this might be useful if you are using it as a WOK or for vegetables, but for meats that you want solidly on the cooking surface, this is just a bulky, space stealing pan.

You're better off with something else.

  4. Large enough to hold plenty of food. Very sturdy. A must have for cooking enthusiasts. I use it in the oven as well.

  5. My husband and I are in love with this pan. Not only does it accommodate just about every meal we want to cook, the non-stick surface is amazing. The food slides right off so we use less or no oil for cooking. We got a great deal at a local specialty store. We are buying a lot of the Anolon pieces separately as needed. We have 2 strainer pots, an oval sauce pan, an 8 inch fry pan, and a wok. We couldn't be happier with our purchases.

3 comments about Anolon Nonstick Hard-Anodized 5-Quart Covered Stockpot with Hard-Anodized Lid.

  1. Anolon just gives the consumer great value...as does Amazon! We now have a larger than complete set of various Analong cookware, and it is easily suyperior to many other lesser and even more expensive products. The cleanup is exceptionally easy, the finish is handsome and durable, and the lids fit quite well. I was afraid that this might prove to small a capacity for most of the pasta that we prepare, having replaced a larger aluminum/copper 8 quart stock pot. Well, it does just fine, and is easier to handle, although be prepared to use pot holders on the handles, as they get rather warmish when boiling pasta or potatoes.

Also, a very minor note of consideration, one should be careful about moving or rotating the pot (or Anolong skillets) on the burner surfaces, if your stove has the metal or ceramic burner assemblies that might scratch or damage the outer finish on the bottom of the pot. The bottom is relatively "uncoated" of the protective finish.

We have been astonished by the improvement in the non-stick coating technology used with this product, and make no mistake, it is far better than many competing products that claim to use new anodized non-stick coatings -- all are not equal! We also learned that the claim that this coating will withstand metal implements is true -- my daughter made mashed potatoes, and used a metal potato masher and mashed to spuds in the stock pot!!!! I got a bit miffed, reminder her to use the plastic products, and even bought a new more comfortable wide handled plastic potato masher designed for non-stick coatings--just in case. However, the upshot of this is that the pot was totally unscathed! I would not use metal implements routinely, but clearly, damaging this surface is not easy to do.

Finally, unlike many other professional cooking sets, the Anolon is not excessively heavy. It is not as light as non-pro products, but the design really strikes a perfect balance between industrial heavy-weights and too-light (flimsy) non-commercial or home style cookware -- like those that come in the bargain starter sets.

Analon is not "cheap" is built to last years, and is a bargain for the quality, design and joy of use. The skillets and grilling pans elicit oohs and ahs from us every time we prepare eggs, omelets, chicken or other sticky entres...because the clean-up is so effortless, the cooking temperature is so consistent (no hotspots or deadspots!) and the results are truly gourmet. This stock pot is now a favorite item and stays on the stove most of the time. We will never go back to inferior "half-baked" cookware!

  2. If you need a smaller stock/soup pot, you just can not go wrong with this one. I have plenty of large stockpots and needed a smaller one. This is perfect, quality is great, it looks like it will last for ever (and I am not one to be careful with my cookware). I highly recommend it.

  3. I love analon but as I stated in my 8" pan review this too is a lot small than I thought it would be.
