  1. I ordered the round press and received the square press. When I called the customer service, he assured me they would make it right. When I received the replacement press, it was square and not round. Once again, I called customer service and again the representative was apologetic and diligently worked to replace my two square presses with a round one. When I received the second attempt at replacement, it was again a square press. I have given up trying to get a round press from Amazon as they clearly don't have a clue what a round press looks like or the shippers do not know how to read.

  2. I was under the impression that there were two pieces due to the photo-- there is only one. This item does work quite well-- great for the price.

  1. I purchased this pan recently and have used it several times.

As other reviewers of other Emeril fry pans have noted, you must get used to cooking with a lower temperature than other more traditional pans, so food won't stick, and won't burn. I have a gas range oven, and it works great so far, using it on the lowest temperature settings. Just warm it up for awhile before use with oil at low setting.

Even without a no-stick surface, as long as you oil it well when using (I have used high quality olive and canola oils), and don't overheat it, it has cleaned up just fine. The interior will stain a bit but that's what Cameo is for.

Note this pan is rather heavy, so not recommended to senior citizens and those who would be impacted as such. It does have a nice feel when using, though.

What I question is the "clad in copper". This is a poor joke on the consumer. The "copper" layer appears to actually be aluminum, with a copper metal PAINT over it. After the second use, the paint was already wearing off, revealing an ugly ring of irregular coloring. So much for "handsome", or whatever marketing term they use. Who knows what they really use. Perhaps some Chinese scrap metal? Docked a star for this.

I am fairly certain this pan is made in China. Just like everything else for the kitchen these days. Don't expect an All-Clad made in the USA.

1 comments about All-Clad LTD 6-Piece Cookware Set with Nonstick Fry Pan.

  1. I've had All Clad LTD pans for a number of years now. I usually cook several times a day almost everyday & although these pans cook beautifully and the interior looks beautiful & cleans up easily, the anodized exterior looks terrible now. I wouldn't mind so much but I have them hanging on decorative pot rack. For that reason I want to replace them with the less expensive version in stainless steel but the financial loss is killing me. I don't have room in my small kitchen to put them away. We've had a stainless steel All-Clad sauce pan for a few years which still looks great and isn't embarrassing hanging from our rack. If you don't mind so much what your pots look like then these would probably be a great choice. If anyone knows any great secrets to keeping these looking great, please post them in the discussion area. I've contacted All-Clad several times and do exactly as they say without achieving any desired results.

  1. The ones who rate this cookware set either have something against Emeril or don't know how to cook! I've had this set for three years and it still looks brand new! Heavy, durable and easy to clean (use Barkeeper's Friend and you'll never soak or use elbow grease again!). Handles stay cool and remember to cook over medium heat because the conductivity is very fast! Get one non-stick pan for eggs and you're set! Buy this set and it's an investment. Other cheap sets you're going to replace every few years. Took me 3 sets of cheap non-stick pans to figure that one out!

  2. I've had my set since October 2006 -- I bought this set because we were moving to a brand new house and couldn't bear to bring my old mismatched pots and pans with me. This set is extremely well made, very durable and easy to clean. That said, I really enjoy cooking with this set -- things really do brown the way all the cookbooks say they should. Do, as another reviewer says, buy a good teflon pan for those scrambled eggs.

  3. Emeril ought to be ashamed. Don't make the same mistake that I did- Save up your money for professional grade All-Clad or Caphalon. This stuff can't handle heat, doesn't clean well, The frying pans are awful, the balance is bad, need I say more? I'm giving mine to Goodwill and getting some decent pots and pans. Of course, If you just want it for show from a hanging pot rack, it will look nice. But don't waste your food on it.

  4. My kids moved out and it was time to get professional grade cookware. Baby let me tell you what! This is it; you can not get any better. This is top of the line but if you have not used professional cookware you will need to learn to cook all over. Non-stick is not professional cookware by the way. No matter how much you clean non-stick and take care of non-stick, it will always have food/taste carry over from what ever you cooked before. Stainless Steal will not ever have carry over taste. Follow the all-clad cooking tips and watch Food TV and you will not only be cooking like a pro but you will feel like a pro and really enjoy cooking. The only exception to this is scrambled eggs, keep or buy a non-stick fry pan just for scrambled eggs. I myself added the 8" stainless steal with non-stick coating from Emerilware. Hey you got have at least one non-stick coating pan on hand, what good chef would not. So it might as well be the best.

  1. This fry pan was included in a set that I purchased about 4 1/2 years ago. The copper core has split almost completely off of the bottom of the pan. The rest of the set seems to be o.k., other than the 2 quart sauce pan in which the copper core looks like it's beginning to separate. These two pieces are the ones I have used practically every day since I purchased it. I really liked the set until this happened. I did not abuse the cookware, this just seemed to happen with regular use. I would like to give the fry pan another try, perhaps the one I have just happens to be defective. If happens again, will will not recommend nor will I buy anymore of this cookware. I'm rather hesitant, however, considering the fry pan alone, costs half the amount that I paid for the 10 piece set!

  2. I have been to culinary school and have used top of the line cookware and this fry pan is equal to anything I experienced there. The pan has great even heating on any type of electric, gas or infra-red.

The all stainless construction is good when you need to do any roasting in the oven. Once you have the pan seasoned it really creates consistant flavoring.

No coatings on this cookware that scratches or comes off on your food. This is professional cookware and will give years of service.

  3. If you're into cooking, you'll love this pan! Just remember that stainless pans need lower cooking temps than non-stick pans A little olive oil to cook with and you're set!!! Also, clean up is quite good for a non-stick pan. If you want you pans to always shine like brand-new, use the stainless cleaner and they'll look like you should display them!

  4. Bought this fan pan based on Amazon reviews - didn't see the pan in stores at the time. You do not get an All Clad pan at half the price. While the pan has a very heavy bottom and cooks OK, the sides of the pan are rather filmsy. My pan has a dent in it and I've never dropped it or banged it against anything. I feel that I could bend the sides of the pan with my bare hands if I tried.

  5. This is a really professional frying/sauteeing, etc. pan. I have used it for many types of cooking and really like the feel of it, how evenly it cooks, the fact that the handle stays cool even though it is metal. It's aesthetically pleasing to look at, is nice and heavy feeling but not overly so. I would like it better if it came with a lid as I often slow cook in a frying pan. I have another piece in this set and like it too.
