1. When I compared WMF's "Manhattan" and "Loft" lines of Boston style shakers, Amazon showed that the Loft was out of stock for a month. However, I checked back and saw that it became available before I even received the Manhattan, so I ordered the loft as well. I'm glad I did. The glass section is the identical shape, with the only difference being the markings. The S.S. section is very similar, with the only difference in the curved shape of the Loft style. While I prefer the Loft style aesthetically, the curve also helps hold the glass section a bit tighter when stored inside the S.S. section. I also found that my pint glasses will work as backups, if I ever break the supplied glass.
   
   I ordered the Boston Style with a little hesitation, as I've seen numerous reviews stating the difficulty for novices to obtain an adequate seal. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have any problems. The Loft strainer is also very nice and matches and fits perfectly with both shakers.



2. This style of shaker takes a little practice to get use to, but once you do it speeds up the mixing process. The most you can do at one time is two drinks unless you cut the ice down to a few cubes. Well made and very easy to clean.

1. My experience with this product was first rate from start to finish. I received it quickly and it was as good as I was hoping it would be. The recipient of the gift was thrilled - loved the availability of it being in pink! Keep up the good work.

1. Yeah, it doesn't seal at all. I have no idea why they sell this. Seriously. Go with something more traditional if you want something that works. We though Calphalon would be good, boy were we wrong...



2. Okay, this looked really cool and I thought I would like the shape of the metal shaker because it would be easier to handle. Wrong! The shape of the shaker causes it not to seal with the glass, and therefore, makes it useless as a boston shaker. I returned it and got a more traditional shaped shaker!



3. Glass broke second time shaker used. Entire glass base broke away from cylinder. Returned entire item to seller for refund.

1. Shipped direct from Amazon, the Bormioli Rocco Party Glass Cocktail Shaker arrived in pieces. I heard the rattle before I opened the box. Is there no quality control in the distribution center? It doesn't require much sense, common or uncommon, to know that a smaller box placed inside a larger box without sufficient material around the smaller box will make breakage VERY likely. Sigh. I doubt I will order anything fragile shipped from Amazon again.



2. Almost immediately, the gasket comes off, which of course destroys the seal, and it leaks. You can put the gasket back on, but it comes off again, and is very difficult to put back on. Save your money, and get a steel one at Wal-Mart for about $8! This is the *second* time I've written this review - hope it shows up this time. I was very disappointed. I *did not* put the shaker into the dishwasher, so that's not the reason the gasket came off.

1. For those of us who happen to be a little clumsy around kitchen tools this acrylic shaker is a welcome edition! We use this shaker in our store all the tyme to mix iced drinks!!! It is so easy to use because it already have measures for famous drinks... well we do not use alcohol for our drinks but the ratios are almost all the same. Easy to wash and no worries since it wouldn't dent or brake like glass or stainless steel.
