  1. I loathe nonstick cookware. In a few decades I don't want to imagine what cancers we're going to link back to Teflon. Good old stainless steel eliminates that worry. These also look good, retaining their bright appearance after multiple uses. I only got two initially, but I'll likely get more in the near future.

  2. The cake pans are a good weight and size for the price paid. I have baked with them a few times and cakes turned out great! Stainless Steel is the only baking pans that I like to use.

  3. These pans are simply wonderful! Heavy and not thin. You can see and feel the high quality.

As a person who dislikes non-stick anything, trying to find stainless in the stores can be hard. I'm so pleased to have found a whole line of Norpro stainless bakeware!

You will not be sorry you bought these.

  4. All the Norpor stainless steel pans I've purchased are fantastic. Heavy gauge and high quality stainless

  5. I love these Norpro 9-Inch stainless steel pans. Much better than those non-stick ones. Easy to clean without worry of scratching the non-stick surface.

3 comments about Slice Solutions 11-by-7-Inch Precut Brownie Pan Set.

  1. The concept of this is a great. It is made of non stick metal which can easily be cleaned but it is not very strong and can be bent easily. I wondered how the bottom of the tray would be able to hold the brownie mixture without dripping out of the "open bottom" pan since the plate just sits on it. My question was answered after the first use. I found crusted burnt brownie mix all over the bottom of my oven. I am going to continue using this because it will cut the brownies to a perfect size and they easily slide off the pan but make sure to place the pan on a baking sheet while baking to avoid a mess.

  2. When I first saw this product I said, "How hard is it to slice your own brownies? Really!" But, I ended up getting it so I could make a bunch of different kinds of brownies at once. After pouring in the batter and inserting the divider, I topped each brownie with Reese's Pieces, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Skor, Twix, Caramello, or Junior Mints. After they baked and cooled, I followed the instructions to remove the divider (slid out like a charm!) and then set the pan on the small side of the cooling rack, which lifts the removable bottom up from the pan, making it easy to get right at your brownies.

I am now obsessed with this pan--in love with those perfect little slices and exact right angles. I like everything just so, and this pan caters to my perfectionist nature.

It's worth mentioning that you can use the pan without the dividers, just as a regular old baking pan. The removable bottom is cool, so it's super easy to release the baked goods. And, with the divider, I keep thinking how great the pan would be for kids' birthday parties, get-togethers, and picnics. Just take along the whole thing, and remove the divider on site--no worrying about ruining your baked goods along the way.

I didn't have any issues with the washing of the pan. Because I coated everything with nonstick spray, there wasn't much stuck on. I just hand washed it. I used a bottle brush on the divider.

Size-wise, the pan is only 11x7, but it was the right size for a "family-size" box of brownie mix or one loaf of quick bread.

I uploaded some of the photos of my brownies (and one of zucchini bread) so you can see how they turned out. Check in the customer image section.

  3. I bought this product with high expectations - and was let down. First off, this is a very small pan. It probably holds the volume of an 8x8...but it is very shallow. It comes in 4 pieces, which are all very flimsy - so thin that the "insert" was already bent upon arrival. Ok...so it looks cheap...but does it work? After a couple of bakings, I noted some very important things. First off...the servings have NO edges on the interior. As a "corner brownie" fan I was pumped about the potential here...but really you still only get the four real corners here. I guess the little metal wall doesn't hold enough heat to assist in baking at all...it really just acts as a cutter/divider. It did do a fine job of separating the pan into 18 tiny brownie bites. However, cleaning this contraption isn't a breeze. I tried gently hand washing, and bent up the insert again. I also tried the dishwasher (which it says you can use on the box), but that managed to blast off some of the nonstick coating. Ugh.

I should have known that you don't need a 4 piece machine to make good brownies. This one is way more trouble than it's worth - and I would say it's not worth very much.

2 comments about Wilton Guitar Cake Pan.

  1. Another good quality Wilton cake pan. It helped me make a great cake for my nephew's 10th birthday.

  2. This is a great pan... It came with a few pictures of different guitar styles to decorate the cake in and the details were really picked up by the cake. It is not nonstick though so be sure to use grease and flower. Other than that though... great pan. I've make an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar. Everybody loved them.

  1. It is not necessary to buy expensive bakeware to bake great cakes and muffins. But if you want great results, and you want to have real quality tools to bake with too, you should strongly consider purchasing Chicago metallic products. Chicago Metallic's design engineers know what they are doing. And let's face it, the total cost of 4 or 5 pieces of "expensive" bakeware is still very cheap. It's just so nice to work with top of the line tools. And these pans will last you a lifetime. If you enjoy baking and want to treat yourself to the best, these pans are worth their premium price tag.

  2. This pan is great. I was able to turn the cakes out with no sticking. They browned evenly. Heavy pans, not flimsy.

  3. I ordered these pans basd on recommendations of other reviewers from Amazon. I would agree with one reviewer who said "almost crubless texture". They do indeed conduct the heat very well. I have used these pans twice already and the pans are somewhat nonstick - I had some slight issue with sticking. In terms of decreasing baking temp, it all depends on where you live and how accurate your oven temp is. My oven temp is off a bit so is drop the temp 10 degrees. My only complaint is I would like to see a version of pan that is 3 inches deep! Will certainly by other products from Chicago Metalic!!

  4. I would order from these people again in a heartbeat. Great merchandise and quick arrival date. Perfect.

  5. I am a professional baker, and I trust Chicago Metallic with all of my baking pan needs. This is an excellent quality baking pan. The price is a bit steep, but well worth the price. Your cakes bake up evenly, and are easy to release. I like it so much that I am buying two more.

5 comments about Chicago Metallic Professional 2-Piece Angel Food Cake Pan with Feet.

  1. For the first time since I've been using tube pans the cake rose as it should and came out of the pan without a struggle. No batter got under the insert to form a glue.

  2. Hi,

Can you tell me whether this 2 piece angel food cake pan is non-stick?

  3. This is certainly an excellent product for the price. Delivery was as stated. Definately will shop with them again.

  4. I was so impressed with this product. I was supposed to turn the pan over for a certain amount of time and then put the knife around the edges but as soon as I turned the pan over the cake fell out perfectly.

  5. I bought this angel food cake pan to replace my 40 year old 2-piece pan that had started to leak cake batter onto my oven floor. This is not a fun thing to have to clean up. This new Chicago professional Angel Food Cake pan is extremely nice and it has built in feet to rest it on while it cools. I used to invert my old pan over an old wine bottle kept around for that purpose. I intend to start giving this pan to new brides.

5 comments about Chicago Metallic Gourmetware Lift and Serve Sweetheart Pan.

  1. This pan worked perfectly for mini cheesecakes. Because I had to make more than 12, after completely cooled I froze the cheesecakes in the pan. After frozen, I popped them out and removed the bottoms so I could make another batch.

  2. Timing is everything, and these pans arrived just in time to make the 200 mini cheesecakes for my daughter's wedding reception. They turned out beautiful and delicious! I will be using the pans for future valentine orders and more weddings. Thanks for the timely email Amazon.

  3. This pan makes some very cute little cheesecakes (and other treats from what others have written). I would give it 5 stars if it weren't such a complete pain to clean it. It's very hard to get into the corners and normal sponges and scrubbers are too big. I am still trying to find a mini scrubber that can get in there (a sponge isn't strong enough). If I didn't sell cheesecakes in my business and need to use this pan, I actually wouldn't because it's really that obnoxious to clean.

  4. This pan is wonderful! It is a sturdy heavy duty pan that makes individual cheesecakes that are approximately 5-6 bites. The cheesecakes are easy to remove from the pan and it washes really well.

  5. Originally I bought this pan to make all sorts of fun foods for my toddler (to encourage healthier eating). Well I just modified my favorite peach cobbler (see original & modified recipe below). My dieting friends loved the cute portion control & I loved how easy they came out of the pan. This pan is very solid & durable, plus clean up was a breeze in the dishwasher. They even freeze well (for a quick defrost treat). I can't wait to try other recipes (meatloaf, brownies, quiche perhaps? I plan to buy 2 more heart pans & the other shapes in this styles/by same company.

    Al's Praline Peach Cobbler Recipe- Crust: Mix 1½ c graham cracker crumbs, 1 c fine chopped pecans, 1/3 c packed brown sugar & ½ c melted butter; press in 13x9" pan. Arrange 56 oz sliced/drained peaches on top; sprinkle with 2 T cinnamon-sugar. Mix 1 c Bisquick, 1 c milk & ½ c sugar; spoon 1-2 T over peaches. Bake 45 min at 350.

Mini 2" Heart Pan Version: Press 1 T crust in bottom of 24 greased 2" heart shaped cheesecake tins. Add 2 sliced peaches & 1½ T topping. Bake 18 min. at 350. Let cool/remove. Eat with mini scoops of vanilla ice cream.

Al King won a soul food contest with this recipe. Enjoy, Sharon

  1. This pan bakes beautifully. Everything that I have made in the pan comes out evenly baked.
    It is worth the cost.

  2. I purchased the bakeware and love it! It's very sturdy and solid and bakes wonderfully.. and what a great price!!

  3. Best non-stick pan ever for thick brownies and cornbread. Easy clean up and even heat distribution for a thick pan!

  4. This pan is excellent! It is heavy and the nonstick interior is just as advertised. It is a very high quality pan!

  5. This is a good quality pan. It is nice and heavy and well made. I always worry about non-stick surfaces but so far so good. I do try to be careful and not use any utensils that are sharp to protect the finish. It is strong and does not flex like some cheap pan will do. It has nice rolled edges too. A well made product. I am very satisfied.

4 comments about Wilton Choo-Choo Train Set.

  1. I bought this 3D train cake pan to make my son a Thomas the Train 3D cake for his 3rd b-day. The cake itself turned out great once I made some adjustments to the suggested cook time. I only had to cook 2 cakes for it to come out right. (I don't bake much.) The only real downfall for this product is where the hole is located to "check" to see if it's done. It's at a shallow location. So, when I checked to see if it was done, it showed it was. Unfortunately, it was the deeper part of the cake that wasn't done and I had no way of knowing until I took the cake pans apart.

  2. Definitely read the directions first- I used the wrong batter and the wrong amount so it didn't stand up. I still used it and the cake turned out so cute.

  3. This is a great cake pan. I made a Thomas the Train cake and it was perfect. Easy to use easy to make.

  4. Pros: If you, or someone you love, likes trains... this form is great.

Cons: Didn't come with the cake already in it. (Only kidding)

5 comments about Nordic Ware Cake Pan with Storage Lid.

  1. I was very happy with this cake pan purchase. The pan and the lid are very sturdy. I love how it comes with a cover to I don't have to waste foil. I would definately recommend this pan to any baker.

  2. This pan is much nice than I expected. Nice and heavy, not tinnie, and the lid was a real surprise. I expected a hard thin plastic and this one is a nice tupperware-type fit.

  3. When I added this item to my Wish List, I thought I knew what to expect: cheap aluminum barely thicker than aluminum foil. Was I surprised! This cake pan is durable, cooks evenly, and the lid is nicely domed so you have plenty of room to decorate the cake and then cover it. I go to covered dish suppers quite frequently, but I've always had to take a 13X9X2 glass dish covered with plastic wrap -- ruins the frosting every time. This pan is perfect to bake a cake in or to store cupcakes in. I'm very pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

  4. This is a good cake pan with a lid that is higher that makes storage of cakes and cupcakes great. A little lightweight but servicable.

  5. I like this pan with the lid. It bakes cakes evenly, does not warp and cleans easily. I have baked cakes, brownies, and fried chicken in the oven with this pan and all have come out successfully. I don't put the plastic lid in the dishwasher, but wash it by hand. It transports easily especially with the medium heavy duty plastic lid.

5 comments about Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse Nonstick Mini Springform Pans, Set of 4.

  1. I bought these last year, and they held up for the first few months.
At first i thought they were adorable, but after about 10 months, the paint on them started to peel away from the sides! I was horrified when I saw ( after baking a batch of cheesecakes for Sale) that the sides had pieces of black paint 'baked into the side!!

I would stick to Wilton pans the next time, this one is cute at first, but could get you sued in the end!

  2. I already owned a set of Wilton Mini Springform Pans, but wanted an extra set so more people could enjoy birthday cheesecake with me (with less work). The Wilton pans are fantastic-easy to clasp, easy to take apart, easy to put back together, easy to clean, study, and have held up perfectly after 10 years.

The new set of Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse Nonstick Mini Springform Pans is quite the opposite. The clasps are cheaply made. They're hard to open and close. My cheesecakes suffered some damage as I tried to release the pan sides. The two parts wouldn't detach completely at this stage-just enough to remove the cheesecake. When it came time to washing the pans, I had to use two hands at great force to separate the two pieces. When it came time to put them back together it took a lot of effort as well.

I would NOT suggest this brand to anyone. I do NOT expect these pans to last long. The clasp quality is poor. The pans did produce nice cheesecakes, but again, suffered damage upon removal from the pans. I have had great results on the past 10 years using the Wilton brand. So, I feel this review is significant. I bought this set on sale for $14.95, and the reason I chose this set over Wilton. I'll stick with Wilton for alll my springform pan needs in the future.

  3. I made traditional cakes with these pans for my daughter's birthday party. Each of the children decorated their own to take home. The pans worked great! I was a little disappointed to see a little rust show up after washing. This is my only bit of criticism.

  4. Bought as a gift for my wife, she makes a lot of cheesecakes that the two of us never finish. I thought it would be great to be able to make smaller ones, less waste. The quality of construction on these springform pans are very dissapointing. The top edge is rolled sheet metal and on three of the pans the edge is not rolled over all of the way. This creates a sharp edge that not only can cut fingers but also causes the sliding metal of the spring action to catch and jam, making the release very ineffective. Great idea, horrible execution.

  5. Cute and small. Perfect for a two person household. :-)
What I did not like is the plate. You actually have to keep the whole thing in your hand to get the plate into the right place and then close the clamp. They should have made the small pans like they did with the 7- or 9-inch pan.
Otherwise the pans work like a charm. The non-stick works perfectly. I`m happy but as I said, they could be better.
