5 comments about BUDNT PANS.
- I bought this pan to make a cake for my Mom for Mother's Day last year and have used it numerous times. I have never had an issue with it not coming out perfectly. This pan makes you look like you really know what you are doing. I have several of these specialty pans and love them all!
- I am a Regular bundt baker. I have always used just the basic joe-schmo bundt pan...no biggie. With this Nordic Ware Rose pan, Oh my gosh! It just fell out with no effort on my part. With my other pan, I had to heavily grease and flour...and just pray it didn't stick too much. With the Nordic Ware, I lightly brushed with oil, and like pure heaven, my bundt came out so perfect! It cooked so evenly, and the inside so moist...such a huge difference, especially when it's with the same recipe that I have always used. I just love it! Last night, I bought 3 more Nordic Ware pans...the Poinsettia, (for the holidays), the Heart, (Valentines), and the basket weave with the fruit imprints on top. I know these pans are not cheap, BUT the quality of these pans, for me, makes all the difference in the world!
- I have used this pan 4 times, and have finally perfected it on the 4th attempt. I swore that if it stuck on my last attempt that I would through the pan out the window. The first several times I only greased the pan and the cakes stuck 3 of the times. The key is using "Baker's Joy", a cooking spray you can find in your local grocery store or through the Nordicware website. This spray greases and flours in one. I used it last night and my cake literally fell out of the pan--it was wonderful. It also made the pan cleanup 100 times easier. Also, you can only fill the pan 3/4 of the way or it will spill over.
- I have tried to use this pan over and over, and it does not work. I have coated it with every type of non-stick grease I could think of, and the cake completely sticks every time. It even takes 3 - 4 washings in the dishwasher, plus hand scrubbing to get the pan clean again. I keep trying to get the pan to work because it was an expensive gift from my daughter, but I've given up.
- This pan made a gorgeous cake (using a plain box mix)! I made sure to spray the pan with Baker's Joy (has the flour mixed in already), the cake came out with no problems at all. I made a strawberry cake (for the pink rose affect), made a simple glaze using pureed frozen strawberries w/juice and powdered sugar. Then I added under the cake some hydrenga leaves from my garden for a true rose affect. It turned out so lovely. If you are considering this pan my recommendation is to go for it, you won't be disappointed.

- My son loved his birthday cake. He is a big fan of firetrucks and their "Woo woos". It comes with instructions on how to decorate it. If you've never decorated a cake before like this. I might suggest making a practice one. This was my first and it took forever!! The company this pan comes from has proven to be reliable. Everything I've ever bought is great! Along with this I bought the firetruck napkins, plates and cookie cutters. What a great birthday!!
- I had never decorated a cake before and decided to try this pan for my son's birthday cake. The needed materials are listed in detail, as well as the directions to decorate the cake. It took me some time to do it (about 2 hours), but the directions are great and the cake came out beautiful, looking just like the picture in the pan. I highly recommend this pan for amateur bakers.

- I expected this to be a great pan based on ratings here and from a well-regarded cooking show. But after only 4-5 uses, it needs to be replaced. Despite the "nonstick" surface, both my husband and I have had real trouble getting food to release from this pan completely, and have resorted to soaking it or using scouring sponges in an attempt to get the baked food off. Probably as a result of the soaking & scrubbing, the latch is rusting and the nonstick surface has peeled completely away from the bottom rim of the pan (where it comes into contact with the base) and is starting to peel from the inner surfaces of the pan. For the money, I expected something much sturdier.
- I was looking for new springform pans and decided to try this brand out (the price was right at the time). I can honestly say that I LOVE this pan. I use it not only for making cheesecakes, but for regular cakes, and even quiches! Clean-up is as simple as soap and water and is not flimsy like other brands I have had in the past. If the pan can withstand my using it to death, then it's awright with me. I am looking forward to buying other items from this particular brand. They are well worth it.
- i saw this pan on a cooking show. when i saw it on amazon, i had to get it. it is the best springform pan i have used. the edge makes it much easier to remove the cake off the pan, and put it on a plate.
- I am a pastry chef, and this is the pan I use every day. In fact I am ordering four more tonight. Since the pan is dark, if you are going to bake for a long time, I suggest you line the pan with Reynolds non-stick foil. I do for ease of de-panning, but it also helps keep crusts from overbrowning.
And phooey, I never bake cheesecakes in a water bath. If you have a convection oven there is no need.
- This pan is the best cheesecake pan I've used. My cheesecakes bake evenly and NEVER leak (I bought it to replace one that cost the same amount but leaked all over my oven). Highly recommend. I've never had anything burn on the bottom, so if you have that problem, have your oven calibrated, or make sure you put the pan in the center of the oven - not too close to the heating element. My cheesecakes come out perfectly every time. I will never buy another brand!
To keep the nonstick coating from coming off, don't cut the cheesecake while it's on the base (or let the cheesecake warm up enough that you can use a non-sharp knife), and don't use a scouring sponge on it. If you spray Pam on the base before making the crust, it will easily come off so you can put it on a serving plate. I used a flat, flexible frosting spatula and slide it under the cheesecake to release it, then gently push it onto a plate. Wash the pan right away before anything gets stuck to it, and you won't need more than a regular sponge. Don't let the springform part soak - the metal bracket can rust.
With proper care this pan should last for a long time.

- Great bundt pan. The crevices aren't too deep and it's smoothly curved inside, making it easy for cakes to come out in one piece. Highly recommended.
- It's a nice, heavy cake pan, but don't call it non-stick. Even with baking spray my cake stuck badly.
- Thats why I purchsased Calphalon, I have used this line for years, and will continue to use it. Its dependenable and sturdy.
- When I first used this Bund pan, I was sooo disapointed, cause I love
all my Calphalon Commercial nonstick.
Everytime I baked a cake in this, it would stick, and come out in
chunks. I would try and put it together, but it just looked ugly,
nothing I would serve to company.
I tryed different oil sprays and nothing worked,
until I used the Flour/oil sprays.
When I sprayed it with just the oil it would run down the sides
and all.
Now This works fantastic. All my cakes come out perfect in
one piece.
There are allot of nooks and craneys, so make sure your getting
all those little places covered with the flour/oil spray, also do not
forget to spray the middle tube part.
- love this pan. I do a lot of baking . This bund form pan cooks my cakes evenly. Advertised as non-stick and easy to clean and every word is true

- I was excited to get my book pan in time to do a cake for our monthly church luncheon. At each seniors luncheon we honor those who had a birthday that month. For the March meeting the director asked me to make a birthday cake and I thought the book cake would be a novel item. It was a big hit.

2 comments about Lekue Silicone Mini Madeleine Pan.
- I bought this in 08/2008 for $12.99 through amazon and love this silicon mold. I made madeleine for the first time and it came out great. I didn't butter or coat the mold with anything to prevent it from sticking and it came out so easily that it slides out by itself. A few that are stuck in the mold just needs a push from the outside of the mold and it comes right out. I baked the madeleines with a williams-sonoma baking sheet under it and the only complaint is that the bottom of the cookie in the middle has a small little round area that is more golden brown than the rest. It's not a big deal for me because I'm not serving it to food critics and I'm too lazy to hold the silicon awkwardly in the oven without the baking sheet. You must fill the mold 3/4 full if you don't want it to over flow. The madeleine size is about a half U.S. dollar coin.
- The mini madeleine pan is so easy to clean, and the cookies never stick! the only drawback to the pan is that you have to fill each individual mold one by one...very time consuming. If you place the silicone pan on a regular cookie sheet, the bellies of the madeleines will be slightly browned, making for less attractive cookies. Make sure to leave a little room in each mold (don't fill it up to the brim) to allow for expansion of the batter.
