- Hard to get excited about bread pans and harder to get over paying that much each. However, it bakes a big loaf and produces a consistent nice crust without sticking in the corners. I bought a Kitchenaide 600 series stand mixer to make the quantity of dough to keep up with these pans. The 600 series really has the muscle to put the big hurt on whole grain doughs during kneading. In fact I don't have to do any hand kneading at all which allows the gluten to get a good stretch and also allows more loaf production.
