  1. The shape and size of the pan itself is exactly the same as a 10-inch fry pan, just without the long handle. I have used it to braise, making paella and saute in it like a fry pan. Without the long handle that a fry pan has, of course it is not as convenient if you want to shake and stir. But this is my only All-Clad, my first trial piece. I love it. Planning to add more pieces to my collection. This Braiser Pan is beautiful to serve in it. Great heat conductivity and easy to clean. I was recommended the MC2 over all stainless steel by the shopkeeper because, if hand washing is not a chore for you, the outer layer in MC2 is thicker aluminum and thus heats slightly faster than Stainless steel.

  1. This one piece, constructed with an copper core and aluminum layers inside the stainless steel, is so amazingly great to cook with, we use it for almost everything! It is large, so we don't need a griddle or another skillet. It has a lid, so we can make roasts and cover them in the oven. It is quite easy to clean. We have gas heat and the distribution of heat with it is nothing short of awesome. I think we use this one pan more than any other two pans combined. Get one. You won't regret it.

  1. I'd been looking for a copper paella pan with a lid for the last year or two. This All-Clad is a beautiful and functional piece that will last a lifetime. It is heavy, well constructed, and spectacular to work with. The pan with lid provides multiple uses so that it is an endless workhorse in your kitchen. I love it.

  1. LOVE THIS PAN. I received a much larger ALL-CLAD pan from my sister as a birthday gift, and was so impressed by it's performance, that I purchased this smaller pan. Two thumbs up! I love to cook, and have more cookware than I need, a lot of it non stick, but this was a must have for me. It's a great size, shape, and cleans up easily. The dome lid also makes it great for serving and keeping food hot. Nice presentation.
Very sturdy, well made but not too heavy, and good looking. I hate putting it away! Highly recommend.

  2. When I ordered this item, I thought I ordered the stainless steel pan, but when it came it was the LTD. Not a problem. I have had it two days and it is already my favorite pan. I made chicken Marsala for guests the first night and scrambled eggs for breakfast. One of the best things is that it is not only a cooking pan but a serving dish as well. Another point is that it takes less heat for cooking. Instead of turning on the burner at full power, I turn it to medium and I don't burn anything. No hot spots but a nice even heat over the entire pan. I will be proud to take this to our church's monthly potluck. It cleans up like a dream and is beautiful as well as making me look like a good cook. What more can I ask?

  1. This is my favorite pan that I own. I use it multiple times a week for everything from spaghetti sauce to gravy to pork chops and roasts. It's even good for things that need to be seared and then cooked in the oven since it can go from cooktop to oven. Cleanup is easy, and this pan has lasted through some very harsh handling by people that aren't kitchen savvy. I've had it for 6 years now and it's still going strong.

  1. I use this for cooking, not for displaying, so I don't mind the scratches. I have quite a few All-Clad pots and pans, and this is by far my favorite! This pan paired with Molly Stevens "All About Braising" cookbook make an impressive meal that your dinner guests will rave about!

  2. I used this pan for the first time and the bottom (outside)has MAJOR scratches. Not cosmetic marks, but deep cuts in the metal. My other All Clad pans do not get scratches...my cheep pans do not get scratches! This is my first (and last) piece of MC2 cookware. Why would anyone pay that price for such cheep quality? You tricked me All Clad, but as Pete Townshend put it many years ago..."won't get fooled again!"

  1. I used this for the first time this week. I wanted something rustic, so I decided to braise turkey thighs with some root vegetables. Preparing the dinner was almost as good as the finished product.

Because of All-Clad's technology, I didn't have to turn the range above medium to sear. There was ample space for browing both turkey parts. Adding color to the veggies was a quick process. Deglazing was very easy because the bottom was so roomy.

From the oven came evenly done, tender and juicy turkey thighs. Clean up was easy. Wiped it out and put it in the dishwasher. Didn't even need to use any polish.

My next task for this pan is a frittata.

  2. This pan is great. It cooks very steady and evenly. After you cook something you can bring it right to the table as it is so attractive and well designed. We use it as a serving dish as well as a pan. Afterwoods, it is easy to clean and there is only one thing to clean as opposed to both a pan and a serving dish. Great for a busy family.

  3. In a small household, this has turned out to be the most-used pan. It is not only everything that everyone knows about All-Clad in terms of high quality and functionality, but it is astonishly beautiful as well.

  4. It won't take a thousand words to say that this is truly the finest pan I own! If I had to choose just one pan from my kitchen, this would be it. It works for everything. I fry, bake, saute and serve from this one good-looking pan. Clean up is really, really easy. I have washed it in the dishwasher, but do prefer to hand clean. Itis certainly worthy of "hands-on" care. Beautiful, serviceable and a must for a caring cook.
