5 comments about Wilton Comfort Grip Cookie Press.

  1. I bought this cookie press for Christmas 2006, and have it used twice. It takes a bit of practice to get the cookies out right, but after the first one, it works well. I haven't had any parts break and clean-up was easy.

  2. I brought this item after I gave my Pampered Chef press to a family member. This product is so much easier to use. It's light, and easy to handle. I like it so much better than my previous press. It only takes one click to put out one cookie, whereas the other press required several clicks. I definitely recommend this product.

  3. Easy and fast! One click makes the perfect cookie. Easy to clean and just an all around great product! Sorry they didn't make one like this years ago. Now I can throw away all the old ones that don't work!

  4. Easy to use and compact. It gets the job done without any frills or extra components to deal with--or which can break!

  5. I love baking cookies. It's my hobby and I make more cookies than I could possibly eat. Making the simple spritz is something that I have never made before so I wanted to buy in inexpensive press to see if I would like it. I read the reviews prior to buying so I was leery and didn't know what to expect but I liked the price. I didn't use the recipe on the box because I have a cookie "bible" that I always get my recipes from. (please see end of review for recipe- it's a keeper, trust me!)

In the end, everything about this press was easy and quick. For so many times of rolling and molding and dropping cookies to be able to simply place and squeeze was a welcome change. The tube was easy to fill, the trigger was accurate and the cookies were cute. I will note that in order for the trigger to work the plunger teeth *must* be facing the handle. Nowhere in the directions does it say this and I was confounded when it wasn't clicking at first. After fooling for a minute I figured out what I needed to do. The trigger was comfortable and easy to use. Even my 4 year old helped. Every cookie looked like a clone of the next.

Taking note of the reviews of broken plastic pieces I was very aware of how tight I was tightening the threads as I believe that was the cause of the problem with many of these reviewers. The rings only need to be finger tightened. There is no need to give an extra twist to make it air tight. The press actually need a bit of air exchange in order to work properly so it is probably why reviewers were also having problems with dough leaking around the rings.
I hope this helps some make a decision, I had no problems with my press and I believe it will be a good one to have for the yearly Christmas cookie bake marathon!

    Christmas Spritz
    2 1/4 cup flour
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup butter, softened
    1 egg
    1 tsp almond extract
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    food coloring, optional

Preheat to 375. Mix butter and powered sugar in mixer bowl and beat until creamy. Beat in flavorings and egg. Gradually add flour and salt until well blended. Tint if desired. Bake for 10 minutes or until just set and not yet brown.

5 comments about Beyond Gourmet Unbleached Baking Cups.

  1. These muffin cups are excellent! I use them for a morning glory muffin- whole wheat flour, carrots, apples, coconut, pineapple and raisins- which always sticks to traditional paper liners. These are the only paper baking cups that easily come off the muffins. Yes, they are light brown color, and not very glamorous- but they work incredibly well. So well,in fact, that I'm mail-ordering them while we're living in Korea!

  2. I bought these baking cups to use for my daughters upcoming wedding. I wanted something that would look nice, suit our baking needs and provide an enviornmentally friendly alternative to the standard baking cup. Beyond Gourmet unbleached baking cups are a natural (tan) color and have a thicker texture than most grocery store types. I recommend them as one more way we can help reduce excess waste, recycle and still produce a very pretty finished product.

  3. ..they are just fine. I'm always baking cupcakes/muffins to snack on so I go thru a lot of cupcake cups. These are perfectly functional and bake just fine. I wouldn't recommend them for any special occasions or presentations though.

  4. I have used these baking cups for years. I see no difference except the paper is the natural parchment brown.

  5. These seemed like a great idea, but the execution is terrible. The cups aren't uniform in size and they make your cupcakes look awful! Lots of indents in the sides of the cake. I want more options for unbleached or generally green baking stuff that is of better quality.

    Unimpressive.

5 comments about Chicago Metallic Extra Large Nonstick Cooling Rack, 16.7-inch x 11.5-inch x .5-inch.

  1. These racks are great! They fit perfectly in my jelly roll pans. There non-stick makes them easy to clean up.

  2. I already had other products by this vendor and as usual the quality for the value is excellent.

These are wire cooling racks, cooling pretty much anything that is NOT too delicate or that could fall through even these small squares.

Mostly they are for cookies and they certainly won't be falling through!

I also use these to bake bacon in the over as putting this into a jelly roll pan or other lipped sheet pan it can act as a rack to cook bacon, let's the fat drip down and makes for crispier bacon, you can roast vegetables or make potato chips using them.

They are fine in the dishwasher but I end up just doing the larger items in sink with dish soap and water.

Free shipping, no tax and just a good price for a solid product.

  3. Just like Alton Brown uses to cook bacon and do everything else (as far as I can tell.)

  4. The cooling grid is real handy in and out of the oven.I purchased this rack for roasting chicken. The grid doesn't actually fill half sheet pan,but it is still a useful tool. The quality makes up for the size.

  5. The Cookies Don't Fall Through!! Wonderful! Love the jelly roll pan, too. This is the second one I purchased!

  1. I love this product. It makes it very easy to decorate the sides of my cakes so they look fabulous. I am not the most creative person- and my cakes often show it- not anymore! My only complaint, although minor, is that you have to add a fairly thick layer of thinner consistency icing for the tool to work easily. Otherwise it pulls the edges right out of the holder. Once I discovered this trick I was very pleased!

  1. I bought this dress for my daughter to wear as a jumper with tights I also got in same order.
It's really cute and seems very well made-plus it was a great Sale price and shipping was $5/order-I hope they never change that.
I buy from Children's place both online and in our local store several times/year and always are impressed with prices/quality.
Contact with Customer Service has never been fruitful for me, but the positives outweigh the negatives.

1 comments about Snowflake Cookie Cutter Set - 5 pcs.

  1. These make very pretty sugar cookies! I had problems with the largest one, but that was probably just me. I was only able to use the two smaller ones, because the large one would lose it's shape when I picked it up off the counter. Decorated with blue frosting, these make great gifts!

5 comments about Anchor Hocking 3-Piece Mixing Bowl Set, Clear.

  1. these bowls are set at a great price and the shipping was super fast...i highly recommend them...again thanks for a great product

  2. Good quaity glass mixing bowls. These are just like Pyrex, but not as expensive. $10.99 for this set of 3 is a great price. Especially if you spend $25 and get the free shipping. They are heavy and solidly built.

  3. I really like these bowls much better than the Pyrex bowls. The shape of the bowls work much better for me than Pyrex. Try them and see if you like them!

  4. When I recently replaced a set of old, chipped mixing bowls, I wanted to go with American-made, durable, solid glass. I chose an inexpensive 3-piece Pyrex set but ended up very frustrated with those sloped sides and all of the associated splattering I got whenever I used my hand-held electric mixer. Christmas baking was the last straw. I ordered this Anchor Hocking set for 2 reasons - 1) It's made in the U.S.A., and 2) the sides are much steeper than in the Pyrex sets. I am thrilled with my purchase and am using these bowls for everything now. The Pyrex set is headed for the second-hand store!

  5. Good. Its worth buying. Its little heavy. if ur looking for light weight, then not very useful

  1. I love this cookie cutter! I begin my year in Kindergarten using the book, The Kissing Hand. After we go on a "Chester Chase", we come back to the classroom and find these cookies waiting for us. The students just love them.
