5 comments about Beyond Gourmet Parchment Paper, 71 sq ft.

  1. I have used Beyond Gourmet unbleached parchment paper for about 5-6 years. The value is great, 71sq.ft for this price is really good, and it is enviormentally friendly also. I used to buy this in bulk whenever I had opportunity to shop at Bed Bath & Beyond. They have stopped carrying it, so I am thrilled to find it on Amazon.

  2. This PP is THE only one I use 'cause it's simply the best out there...I'm giving only 3 stars because shipping charges are way too expensive!!!

  3. Very good product, no need to grease it and lighter than regular (bleached) parchment papers.
One and only baking paper i'll ever use.

  4. This is excellent parchment. The product deserves 5 stars, not 2 because of shipping costs!!

The is 100% unbleached parchment, which I love. And it's a nice sized roll, too.

  5. Although this is the ONLY parchment I use, I don't think that it is worth buying if the shipping cost is going to be more than the actual product -- that is unless you were depserate at the time like I was... :-)

2 comments about Harold's Kitchen Insects & Flowers Cookie Cutters, Set of 11 in a Tin.

  1. I just got these cookie cutters in yesterday and washed them about an hour ago. The pieces are very small, I would say a small bite-size. If you look at the tin that the pieces are packed in, the tin is no more than about 5 inches in diameter. The pieces are really packed in the tin perfectly, I only hope I can fit them precisely so after they are dry. They are so small that I couldn't really fit a finger in the middle part to give them a good cleaning (you can forget about getting a sponge or washcloth in there too). So I had to swish it around in very hot soapy water and spray them clean. I am hesitant to put them in the dishwasher as I think they might rust. I also tried to hand-dry them, which is impossible for the inside parts as I mentioned above, my fingers don't fit in them! I dried the outside and tapped them on a dishcloth so that there was less water to air-dry.

The designs are cute and small, and there is a printed colored illustration in the bottom of the tin. I tossed it out as these are made in China and I don't know how safe the ink used was.

I haven't used them yet, but I plan to and also will make sure they are well floured or greased, as it would be a real pain to try to clean out any cookie dough that gets stuck in it. I guess I could use toothpicks to skewers to clean them.

  2. I find most cookie cutter shapes unexciting but I like bugs and flowers. Cook's Illustrated recommends metal cutters over plastic ones. These may call my Forschner cutproof glove into service.

The sizes are basically bite size which is just perfect for me plus the designs are just what I like so this set is doubly perfect and I recommend it. I think its okay to make tiny cookies. I can't wait to make different recipes for each shape. And to finally use royal icing.

    Ideas:
    gingerbread crocus with lemon icing
    sugar cookie butterflies
hazelnut daisy with raspberry jam center
    thyme bee with orange icing
    sage dragonfly
    mung bean ladybug
tarragon cocoa grasshopper with green icing
    brown sugar honeycomb

    Made in China

3 comments about PanSaver EZ Clean Slow Cooker Liner.

  1. Works better than any other liner I have tried and a better price. It is thicker than the ones that I have been using. I love using my slow cooker now.

  2. I am trying to start eating healthier, and stop getting takeout and fast food so often. My slow cooker is a great tool for this, since I don't have to worry about cooking dinner when I get home from work. However, I've always disliked using my slow cooker because it was such a pain to wash.

I always meant to try the Reynolds brand of these liners, but they are SO expensive. When I saw this less expensive brand offered on Amazon, I knew I had to have some. I'm very pleased with the performance of the liners. You just have to be a bit careful not to pierce them with a fork, etc. It's wonderful to not have to wash the heavy crock liner...just a quick wash of the lid, and cleanup is done.

These are very generously sized. I have a very large 7 quart slow cooker, and they fit with plenty of room to spare. (The description says they are only good to 6.5 quarts.) You can also use them in a 9x13 pan as well, up to 400 degrees I think. They also come with plastic fasteners, and you can use them as a steaming bag in a 9x13 pan.

  3. I've only used these a couple of times but so far they work exactly as advertised. I have both a round and an oval crock pot and these work fine on either so you can't go wrong using these.

  1. Just as pictured and nicely priced. I use them all the time and they are so much better than plastic bowls. Anyone who has ever stored tomato sauce will tell you. Put it in a Stainless steel bowl, NOT plastic due to the stains that are impossible to clean.

3 comments about Wilton Tool Caddy, Maroon.

  1. Sturdy and well constructed, this reminds me of a Rubbermaid type product.

My only complaint is that the width will not accommodate the tips storage container which Wilton sells as well. I would have thought they would design this product with their other products in mind.

Anyone who has been collecting Wilton for years will find they need multiple caddies. I like the size in that it is a practical size to store and to have on the countertop during use. However, I'll need to decide on how to sort out my tips and supplies into 2 to 3 of these.

Still, I'm happy to finally find a better way to store all of my items in one place. I really prefer reaching for one big box rather than trying to dig through and collect multiple items/boxes every time I am baking/decorating. I have a much more organized, collected feeling in the kitchen now.

  2. I got the caddy right after my first Wilton Course 1 Class where I spent too much time trying to dig through a plastic box trying to find everything.

Its a tool box for cakes! You open it and it has a removeable tray to hold small pieces, special raised pegs for your tips and couplers, and places on each side to hold several of the colors for your frosting. The bottom is spacious and you can fit your spatulas, bags, and bigger products like the meranque powder and piping gel, if you like me and like to keep everything right together.

It even (with a little amount of creativity) will hold your Wilton Course 1 book, right on top, just curve the side a little up when closing the lid and it doesn't bend it, so that everything is ready and moveable in one container when heading out the door to your next Wilton Class!

Just on a side note: The price listed on here is on sale - $19.95, marked down from $33.00, looking like you save 13.00 on Amazon. You're not saving anything. It's regular at the craft stores -originally priced- for $19.99 and like for all big Wilton products, just get the 40% off coupon out of the paper and go to Michael's or Joann's and get it or to Hobby Lobby when they have their 50% off Wilton Supplies a few times a year.

  3. I finally got this tool caddy for all of my Wilton Cake Decorating Supplies. The caddy is great and all of my stuff fit inside. The caddy also fits well on my self. Awesome!!

5 comments about Cookie Stamps, set of 12.

  1. Was inexpensive, but using the recipe supplied in the package, the stamps stuck to the cookies and the design wasn't that well seen after baking.

  2. Very easy to use and wash. Gave lovely imprints on the cookies. My niece enjoyed using them.

  3. After seeing a recipe for cookie stamp cookies I tried to find the stamps that were suggested. The company was no longer manufacturing them. After a google/yahoo search of cookie stamps I came across these on Amazon.

The price was reasonable though shipping was a bit high. They are easy to clean and work well. Good for anyone starting out trying to use cookie stamps. I'm still trying to perfect them :)

  4. The plastic cookie stamps work for the most part, however, when making shortbread a few of them tended to stick, and it was time consuming to pick out all the dough from the crevaces. But, the end product was a beautiful cookie that nobody believed I baked. The tera cotta stamps are better - they stick less. But for the price, these cookie stamps are great!

  5. these are cute little stamps for making designs on cookies. and will be lots of fun for kids.
