5 comments about All-Clad Stainless 7-Inch Oval Bakers.

  1. These little guys are the perfect size for warming up leftovers in a warming drawer or the oven, among many other uses. Indispensable in my kitchen!

  2. is next-to-nothing...

i use these to reheat EveryThing in a toaster oven - and to broil a lot of things ---

and friends find they use their microwaves A Lot Less for reheating -

  3. I usually cook for an army of one and these are perfect. In a pinch, I've used them to fry breakfast links. Perfect for a quick lunch or side dish. I do lower the recipe temperature when baking. I think these are really impressive when entertaining. With that said, if you're in a hurry they are not so great for reheating because the microwave is a lot quicker.

As with all things All Clad, these heat evenly and quickly. Stainless steel is easy to clean. My favorite words in the English language are "dishwasher safe."

  4. My set of two little bakers arrived today, and I immediately put one to use with a salmon fillet in the oven. It does a beautiful job and I expect to use these a great deal. They heat evenly without sticking. I am single, and the size is just right for a small dish of scalloped potatoes or mac and cheese, among other more exotic possibilities. This line of cookware is beautiful and graceful as well as durable and efficient. I am replacing all my old Calphalon and sending it to the church's yard sale.

  5. Good Bakers, rather small, but they fit what I use them for very well. Being single I don't usually cook for large groups. I like to make a dish based on a tofu burger recipie with them. I start off on the stovetop then transfer them to the oven to finish cooking. They are great for that. Two personal sized dishes that come out well formed. Stainless is easy to maintain with a little care. If this is the size dish you are looking to cook, it is a great little baker.

3 comments about All-Clad Stainless Petite Roti Pan with Roasting Rack.

  1. I can't really "review" this pan since I returned it unused, but I have the "same" All-Clad Petit Roti Pan from just a couple of years ago, and this one is now substantially different. My old one had a flat bottom, great for making gravy after you finished your roast. This new one has a ridge around the bottom, where the juices will drip off into these sides. Very difficult to make a gravy when that happens. This is just my opinion as a cook, I really can't comment otherwise on the product, but this change alone was enough for me to send the pan back.

  2. I got this pan for Christmas and used it that day for the turkey breast roast. It is perfect for smaller families who don't plan to cook the 30 pound turkey or a huge standing rib roast. I can't imagine cooking anything that would require a bigger pan. It fits easily into the oven, cleans up in a breeze and matches all my other All Clad stainless pots and pans. Many years ago a chef told me that All Clad was the best and I have never been disappointed.

  3. I also own its big brother and both pans work extremely well. Efficient, even heating. Upright handles make the pan easier to lift. Solid, heavy contruction. I like going from oven to stove top for making gravy. Easy to clean (dishwasher safe).

Worth the price for All Clad quality and the perfect roasted bird.

Update 1/7/07: This pan does not work on induction cooktops

4 comments about All-Clad Stainless 1/2-Quart Soup/Souffl¿ Ramekins, Set of 2.

  1. The first time I saw these I thought they were so cute. I was envious when my friend bought a set and raved about them. I have to admit that I haven't actually used them yet but I can't wait to make a seafood bisque in these. The quality of these ramekins are truely remarkable and you can't tell by the weight of them.

  2. My wife & I had ordered a shrimp bisque at a nearby restaurant. The bisque was outstanding and it was served in the all-clad stainless soup bowls. We both commented on how the bisque stayed nice and hot until the very last spoonful!
Later that week I searched Amazon and ,naturally, they had the lowest price. We now cook our soups in them -on the range or in the oven and bring them right to the table. We put them in the dishwasher and they sparkle like new.
In my opinion, there is nothing better to serve soup in.

  3. i use these less than the 7 inch oval bakers - but still a lot -

to save energy on reheating -

and to live without a microwave...

  4. Although these have stay cool handles when you use them on the stove to heat soup, remember to place them on something heat resistant for serving. I use these on the stove top for soups and gumbo and they heat beautifully. I have yet to make a souffle to test how they work in the oven.

Easy clean up in the dishwasher. They sparkle with a little Bar Keeper's Friend.

4 comments about All-Clad Stainless 1-Quart Mixing Bowl.

  1. love, love, love this little mixing bowl. i'd also lust after it (and give it 5 amazon stars) if only the top outer edges of the handle were more beveled. i've owned this bowl for less than a month, but, it's never left my stove or countertop, i.e., it's in constant use vs. my other mixing bowls which sit neatly stacked in the cabinet until needed. the handle makes it very easy to just grab and go! i even use it as a garbage "pit stop" when prepping foods or cooking by just grabbing the handle and easily dumping the cast-off scraps in the trash or compost heap with an easy flick of the wrist ("look ma--one hand--even when filled to the brim!"). it's winning attributes are no muss no fuss stainless steel construction, it doesn't take up a lot of counter or stove top space, the thick-walled metal and curved-snug-against-the side handle offers good balance, and the handle is deep and wide enough that the bowl easily sits inside the edge of another pot for some double-boiler action. a previous reviewer offered that all-clad is most likely laughing all the way to the bank with such over-priced cookware and, while i don't disagree that it's only stainless steel and it's just a mixing bowl, i did see the very same design offered in a lesser-priced line. however, the lesser-priced mixing bowls did not offer the same design or quality, specifically, i noticed the metal was thinner, the handle was not as deep or nicely curved and the handle's edges were, in fact, sharp. yes, these pieces are just mixing bowls, but, i do believe the lesser-priced bowl could not adequately match what i love about this all-clad bowl (sturdy construction, a comfortable "grab and go" handle which, with its design, has the added bonus of providing the pot the ability to sit inside several of my other pots--presto-- instant double boiler!). and, as with the majority of my cookware, i shopped around and found it on sale. in all fairness, it was still a lot of money for a one quart mixing bowl, but, it's versatility has made even the sale price a bit tastier to swallow.

  2. I have several pieces of All Clad. I love this little bowl! It's great for mixing brownie's, eggs, pancakes....etc. I have other bowls, but, this is the one I reach for. You're buying with confidence when you purchase All Clad. The name speaks for itself, quality! You will not be disappointed.

  3. This bowl is made of gold, sorry, platinum. Oh no! The quality of this SS bowl is very high. Why giving it one star? There is no virtual difference between this bowl and quality SS bowls sold for less than 20% its price. ...I am picky when it comes to bowls. I use them a lot and drop them from time to time. Save your money and do not support such companies selling their products at ridiculous prices. Do not believe their products are better than others. They are very good but do not worth the price. Shop around and your will see other products even better than All-Clad products at less than 25% their price. They are pricing their products like if their customers are the Pentagon and the defense ministry.

  4. This line of handled bowls from All-Clad is wonderful! I first purchased a three bowl set (5, 3, and 1.5 quart) and then discovered these smaller one quart bowls as well as the bigger seven quart bowl. I have found the handles to be extremely useful, especially when tossing salads, mixing batters, or doing any other task the requires a person to hold the bowl steady.

These one quart bowls are perfect for beating eggs or blending a sauce. I have not yet tried using these for a double boiler, but it looks like a possibility.

I love these bowls and wonder how I lived without them.

2 comments about All-Clad Stainless 2-Quart Rice Pot With 1-Cup Liquid Measure.

  1. I am not sure why All-clad called this pot rice pot. I don't see any difference in design than regular All-clad pot. It's little nice pot, the size of this pot is close to saucer than rice pot. It's for all-purpose use as long as you cook small portions. I used this pot several times, none of them to cook rice yet. I used it for cooking past and sauces. It's easy to clean, and keeps food hot for long time.
The lid is not very stable, but no problem since the pot is very little (it may be annoying if the pot was bigger). I have pots from Zepter, the lid is much more stable. I wish Amazon.com sells Zepter cookware. They are great, built well, and worth the price paid for.
The good thing about All-Clad that can be used in the stove and oven.
In General, I like All-Clad's it heavy, quality, and works well.

  2. I like it a lot. Comes with a nice little measuring cup.

5 comments about All-Clad 3-Piece Stainless Measuring Scoop Set.

  1. These scoops are well constructed, a good weight, and are great to use. They've made my "wouldn't want to live without this" list. The rounded design makes them especially good for getting dry goods--such as brown sugar and flour-- measured correctly right from the box.

  2. I don't actually have the All-clad version of these spoons. I think mine are from Amco. They are great for baking! Scoop and measure all at the same time. If you're scooping out of a paper bag, like a flour bag, you can use the inside of the bag to level the top and get the exact right amount.

The lack of a 1/3 cup measure is noticible and I wish the set included one. (I pull out the pyrex cups for recipes measured in thirds.) I see that 1/3 cup measuring scoops are available if you search the net. Maybe All-clad will get with the program.

  3. Nope, I don't have these but I'd buy them in a second if there was a 1/3 cup. Please make one.

  4. Large measuring spoons are really nice for the baker in your family. Need to add another cup of flour, just dip the large spoon into the bag and away you go.

The finish on these spoons is top notch. Fits right in with everything else All-clad makes.

My only complaint is that I'd like a larger set of these spoons, The 1/8 cup and a 1/3 cup sizes would be really handy. Of course if you don't have a set of measuring cups, get those first. The cups will sit on the counter with their flat bottoms, unlike the spoons which tip over.

  5. First of all, I do not own this All-Clad scoop set, but I am in the market to buy. So why am I writing this "review?" In the hopes that All-Clad will take note and include a 1/3 cup in this scoop set (it's such a common measurement, I was amazed it is not included). That's why I gave it a "rating" of 3 stars (otherwise, I'm sure it would have deserved 5).
Secondly, if it is added to this set, I would definitely buy it. I own many All-Clad products, and they are without a doubt the best kitchen products I've ever owned!

4 comments about All-Clad Jelly Roll Pan.

  1. I've have been regularly using this beautiful pan for nearly three and a half years and it still functions wonderfully and it looks brand new. This is a worthwhile addition to any kitchen that is in constant use. I used to replace my jelly roll pans at least once or twice a year because of the abuse they took. I was hesitant because of the high cost, but as with all my All-Clad pieces, I don't regret it. It has definitely paid for itself in this busy kitchen.

  2. I purchased two of these All-Clad jelly roll pans and they definitely do warp! Even at a temperature as low as 350 degrees and with something as light as 2 pounds (centered in the pan) they still warp.

Except for this failing, they are very good pans and would otherwise deserve a 5 star rating. But All-Clad, come on, at this price your pans should not warp!

  3. This is a great pan. It lives up to All-Clad's reputation in every way. I've only used it for baked goods like cookies and scones. It's performed superbly.

  4. Let me first say these are wonderful pans. Nothing I have ever used even comes close. However All-Clad's claim that these won't warp is simply not true. Put a side of salmon or a tenderloin diagonally across the pan, throw it into a 450 degree oven and in 5 minutes it will do what every other sheet pan will do - WARP! In fact it may toss your dinner across the pan. It will return to its perfectly flat state when it cools and since no other pan would do better I still recommend these pans highly... just be careful!
