- I purchased this product and was very disappointed when I opened the package. The discription of the ramikens that comes with the torch are very little. The dimensions that are given are way beyond correct.
- My husband ordered this for me as a gift. Kitchen torch didn't work. Now that it has butane in it, I'm afraid to send it back, so it looks like I'm out $25. The item is very cheaply made.

- I (the wife) bought these to make Creme Brulee in them. I was surprised by the physical size here, but they are the usual high quality from LeCreuset. The largest diameter is 3.25" at the top, outside measurement. Inside, useable diameter is only 2.5". Basically the size of my palm. Check these measurements against other bowls in your collection before buying! Height is 2" tall. Love that Gorgeous Cobalt Blue! Would make good prep bowls or condiment servers. Nice weight.
- I use them for melted butter for my artichokes, shrimp or crab. They keep the butter hot.

- I have used these, and they work great. The storage system is a nice way to keep all the pieces organized. The containers can be used in the freezer (unlike the disposable type put out by glad and ziploc). The array of sizes is nice.
- The idea was great. It was the worst quality and the worst material ever.
- they look nice all stacked up and neat, but they are extremely cheap. the lids barely stay on. it was not worth it. the throwaway ziploc kind are much better.

5 comments about CorningWare 16-pc. Jumbo Set.
- From it's inception in the late 50s until Corning, Inc. sold its kitchenware division, Corningware meant pyroceram. This is just crockery. You can get real pyroceram on ebay. I understand it is still sold new in Asia.
- I wanted to give this NO stars but Amazon would not accept no stars.
I love Corning ware and was very disappointed in the 16 piece set that I just purchased. The first package wasn't ever delivered to my home. Upon checking the UPS website on the afternoon of the scheduled delivery, I found that the package was damaged. I called Amazon and another package was shipped immediately. When we opened it, we found one casserole dish was missing from the package. Again, I called Amazon and was told I would be charged for another shipment but once my shipment arrived, I would be given a credit. I complained because this was the 3rd package sent out. The 3rd package arrived yesterday. I was not charged. I took the original to the post office and when I returned opened the new package. BIG MISTAKE. One of the casserole dishes has bumps on it. I could have changed out and shipped back the defective one but I thought the 3rd time would be a charm. I called yet again and was given a $3 and change credit. The rep divided the number of pieces into the price. I explained in vain that lids are a lot cheaper than a casserole dish and I didn't find this enough. This morning I found another credit issued. I would return the set and ask for my money back but it was purchased with gift cards so that is the only refund I can get. My husband told me to notify family who gives gift cards not to buy them anymore because they would be wasted and go unused. One would think with 2 returned packages that someone at Amazon would have opened the box before shipping and made sure the package was intact and that the merchandise was perfect.
I will not be buying from Amazon again.
- Corningware now uses the good name and reputation the company built up over the years to hawk an incredibly inferior product compared to it's former production line. It is worth much less but sells for the same prices the original did. This is a disappointing trend I have observed over time in a wide range of products from yogurt to furniture. Go to the dollar store and save yourself some money if you don't care about quality. Unfortunately, young people looking to furbish their homes for the first time will have no clue what I am talking about and rate this product higher than it deserves. The casserole I bought for $10 exploded the first time I used it. I heard a loud pop and when I checked, a piece of the side had blown out. Go figure, I guess people only care about short range profiteering nowadays.
- This set is simply just stoneware with the Corningware name. Back about 10 years ago, Corning was bought by another company and they discontinued making any rangetop cookware. Corningware used to be very versatile - you could use it on the rangetop, broiler, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. It was made out of Pyroceram (a heavy duty glass like material), and was resistant to breakage and chipping. This new line that they have out may look like the old line of bakeware, but it is anything but. It is made of stoneware and cannot be used on the stovetop or broiler. It chips and breaks easily and is a poor substitute for the great line of cookware they used to have.
- Sadly, this product is nothing more than a set of average run-of-the-mill ceramic ramikens. The "original" CorningWare from the 60's and 70's could go *directly* from the fridge to the stovetop; If you were to try that with this new stuff it will shatter into a million pieces. (Which, in fact, is also exactly what the manufacturer will tell you.)
If you are looking for serving dishes, these may be all you need. --But, if you are looking for your mother's indestructible go-to casserole's/leftovers/side-dish/serve-n-save/little-blue-flower wonder-bowls; go to eBay. They quit making the "real" stuff some time in the late 80's.
Sad, isn't it?

3 comments about HIC Porcelain 4-Ounce Square Creme Brulee Dish- Set of Six.
- These look like they would have fit the bill, but arrived chipped and broken. After second attempt, I have moved on to a department store.
- The previous poster is wrong. I am a pastry chef. Creme Brulee is best when it is 1 inch thick or less. That gives you a better ratio of crunchy top to silky cream.
You do have to be careful not to drown your brulees getting them in and out of the water bath with these dishes, and I have had some trouble with chipping, but they work perfectly well for creme brulee.
- ...for creme brulee or any other kind of custard.
I use them as nut dishes when I have company. Totally useless for anything else.

4 comments about Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware 4-Piece Starter Set.
- I bought this gift for my sister for X-mas and it was not the greatest gift. I'm glade it was not the only thing I got her. She said that the pans burn everything in a gas stove. Now granted my sister does burn things from time to time but the amount that these pans did was suprising. She will probably never use them again.
- I've had these for over a year now and I have one problem with them, thus the 3 star rating. The bottom of my bakeware set is peeling off.
I hand wash and dry these pans right after they've been used. I'm not throwing them around so there's no reason the bottom of them should be peeling or flaking. I don't go over the recommended temperatures either.
I'm sure there are other bakeware sets that don't peel, scratch, or flake as easily as this set.
- I expected these items to be quality items in keeping with the Cuisinart standards. My expectations were met.
- I have owned this set for about 3 months now, and I have enjoyed them very much. They are very heavy and thick- and well made. Very durable and they definately live up to what I have come to expect from Cuisinart. $30 well spent.

- These mini quiche pans come stacked in a plastic bag. They feel heavy and sturdy, nice quality. The removable bottoms are also sturdy and convenient for popping out your tart or quiche. A little big for a single serving but still a nice size. I have used them once so far and like them.
