5 comments about Fiesta 495 70-Ounce Casserole with Lid.

  1. There isn't a lot of ovenware that can go right to the table and be pretty. This is one of those rare pieces. The lid fits rather well on some other Fiesta bowls as well and we've also used it to cover plates (that then go into the over, microwave or fridge). The bowl also works well for fruit, popcorn, soup....

  2. I can't rate this Casserole yet because it arrived broken. It was a gift sent directly to that person. She said she will have to pack it up and return it for another.

  3. Love the casserole. Great to be able to buy discontinued colors. Arrived on time and well packed. Mar

  4. This was a wedding gift for a friend. I just heard that she got it and thinks it's lovely. It must have arrived intact and in plenty of time and I'm Quite satisfied.

  5. This was one of our wedding presents purchased off of the registry, and we are so glad we picked this! It's a good size for a small family and it performs well in the stove or microwave, looks great on the table, fits well into the refrigerator, and when it's all over, you can stick it in the dishwasher. That coupled with its price makes this piece something every Fiesta lover should have. It's heavy enough to feel "quality" but it's not ridiculously heavy or cumbersome. We received this dish in Tangerine, a fun and lively color.

5 comments about Reco Romertopf 6-1/2-Quart Clay Baker.

  1. This is a fragile item, and is poorly packed for ordinary shipping. The result is the item arrived with the top broken into many pieces. To Amazon's credit, they made returning the item and requesting a replacement very easy, although the whole process is time consuming and inconvenient. Other Rometopf bakers I use work well for their purpose and are very easy to use. I do highly recommend the product and shopping with Amazon!

  2. I love this product as I previously owned a smaller version and plan on purchasing future sizes. I just enjoy cooking so I can't really say enough good things about it.

  3. What a awesome product and it promotes a healthy lifestyle. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants great tasting meat no matter how good a cook you are or how bad a cut of meat!

  4. I purchased the Romertopf 6 1/2 Quart Clay Baker to replace a smaller clay baker that I have had for years. Baking in clay pots is my absolute favorite way to cook roasts and chicken and this larger size allows me to cook plenty of vegetables and meat to feed by family of five at family dinners (and have leftovers). The flavors are outstanding and I highly recommend this method of cooking to anyone who hasn't tried it. You soak the clay pot, fill it up, and place it in a cold oven and turn up the temp -- then you do nothing until it is done -- it is the most tender, juicy meat you will ever eat.

The pot is exactly what I expected it would be, although my old one was glazed inside and this one is not. I have used it several times already and that has not been a problem.

I like it so much I am purchasing the same pot in a smaller size so I can cook dinners for two.

  5. this thing barely fits in my oven so it can make a big big stew. i have loved my 4 quart schlemmertopf clay pot but sometimes it's a little small for what i wnt to cook. when i saw the romertopf 6 1/2 quart i had to have it. try this: 2pound roast, 1-2 inches of water, salt, pepper, garlic, basil. cook in oven at 350 for 1 hour. add two large russet potatos cubed, 1 pound carrots, one large red onion, one large bunch of celery, all chopped, and one 16 oz. jar of a good marinara sauce (h.e.b.'s 2 dollar version is great). add water to about 1 inch from top of pot. cook for another 2 hours at 350. you don't even have to check it. this is stew like mom used to make!!!!

  1. I purchased the onyx stoneware to use in my solar cooker. It does an excellent job of heating up and retaining the heat. The handles are easy to grab, even when reaching at an angle to avoid looking at the reflected sun in my cooker. The size is perfect for lasagna and deep enough that food doesn't ooze over the edge even when tracking the sun angle.

My order came quickly and they delivered to my PO Box. Great service.

5 comments about Calphalon Double Bonus Slow Cooking Set Gift with Purchase.

  1. The pot is fantastic and the price is right. Southeast is also a company that keeps their word. I am editing my last review but the system is not allowing me to change the Star Rating to 5 stars. They ruly deserve 5 Stars because of their customer service. So please disregard the 1 star rating - I will contact Amazon cust service to see how I can change it. But notwithstanding that issue let me tell you a summary of the drama.

6 days ago I wrote a brutal review about SE Consolidators and my missing pot. Amazon jumped on the matter and a A-Z claim was filed right away. Soon thereafter SE Consolidators called me to see if I was unhappy and if so how can they fix it. I was still angry but after speaking to their rep Ryan I realized that the error was mine and not theirs. I apologized to Ryan and he still went out of his way to console me.

The only thing I can say is that there is only ONE 4 qt pot that is advertised in this deal. Some reviews may read as if it is more than one pot for the "bonus", but it is only one. The pot is great and enhances the dishes I prepare for the family. I have since collected approximately 6-8 other Calphalon pots to complete my collection. A price check shows that the price for this pot is the most reasonable. So if you want a good sized pot at a great price order from Southeast. Enjoy!!

    -Colleen [a happy customer]

  2. The Calphalon tri-ply Stainless set was great but they added this great bonus slow cooking set. We use it 2 - 3 times a week, its so nice it have become the most used pot in our kitchen.

  3. This is the pan that caused me to buy the rest of the calphalon one infused line, easy cleanup, just the right size pan,and you can use any utensil. Life time warranty.

  4. I'm a huge fan of calphalon cookware (commercial, hard-annodized pieces to be exact). Got this piece about a month ago and find myself reaching for it just about every time I cook. Use it to prepare pasta dishes, stews, soups, boil potatoes, you name it! Sturdy, well-made construction that will last for years to come. Well priced, but more impressively, well worth every penny.

  5. The gift with purchase arrived first. It's sold elsewhere for $49.99 but Amazon bills it as $100 even. The pot is made in America and the spoon and towel are made in China. This is the only nonstick piece I have.

It's not heavy or impressive at all. Very friendly despite concerns with the coating. The inner bottom and lower half of the inner sides are smooth to the touch.

The recipe cards are for beef stew with lentils and rosemary, chicken mushroom wild rice casserole, bolognese sauce and chicken and sausage jambalaya. These recipes are also available on Calphalon's website.
