  1. I am very happy with this serving dish. It is very sleek and classy looking. I really do like the "built in" handles. They make the dish very easy to use, especially when carrying it after heating. The handle in the cover is just as "user friendly". It is a simple yet elegant serving piece. It is easy to clean, and store. It will compliment your tableware very nicely!

  1. I purchased this product online from Sam's Club for under $35, including shipping. For that price, I figured I couldn't go wrong. The pan looks like good quality. It's heavy and there are no defects in the enamel coating. I contacted the company, and they told me that this cookware is oven safe to 400 degrees. Also, the interior of the pan is coated with matte black enamel (NOT Quantum 2 nonstick). I think this is important to know, as the little use and care booklet that comes with the cookware just contains general information that applies to most ColorCast enamel cast iron cookware.

    This cookware only carries a 25-year warranty, so I don't know how well or how long it will last. But hey, for the price I paid, it doesn't have to last a lifetime.

  1. The color is great. I love this casserole, I would love to buy it in other colors. It is so versitle, can be used so many different ways. Easy to clean.

  2. I use this pan quite often.It's beautiful, I make the most amazing dishes in this casserole. you can't go wrong with cast iron.

  3. my pot came today and it's beautiful. if it didn't say Lodge on the knob I would think it was a more expensive brand. What surprised me most is that it says made in China in big letters across the box. I had wrote to the amazon forum and people were saying Lodge is made in America. The green is a little deeper color than it looks on the page. It will look pretty on a dinner table.

  4. This is a really green pan...it uses less energy because of the even heating and it's heat retention quality. DO NOT USE HIGH HEAT on this pan, you don't need it. It functions perfectly with medium to low heat. This pan also matches perfectly with my Fiesta dishes, down to the concentric circle design. It is also priced to fit into almost any budget. I would give this pan a 10 if I could!!!

  5. I purchased the larger version of this Lodge pot first (haven't used it yet). I used this 3 qt. pot today for the first time. So far, it's performed beautifully. I'm looking forward to many years of good cooking and easy use. I paid a few dollars more than the $23+ listed on 7/11/08 but under $27. I feel (so far) it's been well worth the $

4 comments about Reco Nature's Oven Clay Garlic Keeper.

  1. First product arrived broken, (This is a clay pot). As soon as I notified shipper a new Garlic Keeper was sent at no charge. Only had to return the broken one within 30 days to prevent a second charge. Return postage was repaid. Second keeper arrived intact. Only other comment is it is big. It can easily hold 3 or 4 heads of garlic.

  2. keeps the garlic fresh,for a long time, and it looks great on my counter;
    it also holds a lot more garlic that I realized;

  3. I did not receive this item. I received a small garlic baker. With all the Christmas buying and returning, I didn't have the energy to return this one!

    Donnie

  4. With room for a few heads (or bulbs) of garlic this keeper is attractive looking, well made, properly ventilated, and contains the papery mess that would otherwise occur in storage. Not much else to say!

4 comments about All-Clad Stainless-Steel Casserole.

  1. This pot is the perfect size for a standard soup recipe. I have the Dutch oven and the 6-qt stock pot as well, but I still wanted this pot. I have not been disappointed. I like the taller shape; it jut feels more like a soup pot to me (I understand this is completely subjective.)

    All-Clad Stainless is my favorite line of cookware. The clad technology means even heat conduction and it works on induction cookware. An extra bonus for me is the easy clean up -- throw it in the dishwasher. Whne necesary, polish with a Bar Keeper's Friend and it will look like new forever.

    If you are choosing between this and a Dutch oven, go with the Dutch oven because the shape is more versatile. This pot is not a must-have, but a great have if you make a lot of soup and are looking for an addition to your All-Clad set.

  2. I highly recommend this pot, it is an excellent size and excellent brand. I would also recommend getting other pots by this brand. They may be pricey, but I know people who have these pots for over 30 years!

  3. No doubt that All-Clad makes an excellent product. This casserole pan is a nice size and lives up to all expectations for stainless clad cookware. It looks great and cooks evenly with no hot spots; cleanup is easy. For versatility, I would choose a 4 or 5 qt LeCreuset dutch oven instead...but if money is no object then I suggest getting them both! This pan is recommended.

  4. Heavy cast or rolled aluminum is the optimum material for pots and pans. Based on this fact, Magnalite cast aluminum gourmet cookware was the best you could get from about the 1950's through the '70's. However, there are some problems with aluminum as a cooking surface. Some foods react with it and cause discoloration; it's hard to clean, a fact that became glaringly obvious with the advent of non-stick surfaces. And there have been reported health issues related to cooking food in contact with aluminum (experts currently assess the risks as insignificant).

    All-Clad is the heir apparent to the position of "creme de la creme" among cookware. The inner layer of metal is aluminum to evenly conduct heat throughout the pan. The cooking surface is stainless steel, the ideal surface because it is non-reactive, easy cleaning, and more durable than nonstick compounds. All Clad offers a variety of exterior finishes to suit your taste. Finally, this line is WELL BUILT. It will outlast anything else in the kitchen.

    This may be the most expensive cookware but it's also the best. For a person who doesn't have the physical strength to handle very heavy cookware, this may not be a good choice. For anyone else who is willing to pay for it, this is what you want to cook with.
