  1. I was surprised at how heavy this casserole was compared to the old (40+ yrs.)corningware cook sets. The latest products are along the line of pottery, thus they're more stylish.

  1. I take the garlic baker, soak it in water for a few minutes, then cut the top third off of a glove of garlic (just enough to expose the little pods inside) then brush it with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and fresh cracked pepper, then bake it in the oven on about 375 for 30 minutes. When it's done, you take the garlic out (allowing to cool) and you can just squeeze the garlic out of the little sections, because it gets reduced to the consistency of butter. You can squeeze it out onto bread, spread it around, and throw the bread back in the oven for a minute with the broiler on, and you've got healthy, simple, and delicious garlic bread.

  2. My Wife and I love clay pot cooking. This item looks good on your counter and works perfectly. For the price you can't do any better.

  1. Bought the set of regular skillets [8 inch, 12 inch], wok skillet, 4 quart casserole with lid. Have used all, and they are excellent to cook with. All are light weight, as advertised. Easy to clean. Have been using them for 3 weeks. All arrived in very good shape. Recommend highly.

1 comments about Nordic-Ware 62305 Mini Micro-Go-Round.

  1. There are two types of Micro-Go-Round--a larger one that rotates whenever you put something on it and a smaller one (this one) that does not rotate unless you move a switch. They both work well and have their own good and not so good points. The one that automatically rotates when you put a dish on it requires no extra movements, but it tends to run out of power when you need it and you have to wind it up again. This smaller one does not have that problem, but you do need to flip the switch when you start and finish. For me, the switch works better because the rest of the family ran the Micro-Go-Round down and I was winding it up all the time. Your choice.

5 comments about All-Clad Lasagna Pan.

  1. I almost didn't order this pan for two reasons. The first was that a lot of reviewers said their pans warped very badly the first time they used them. The second reason is that it was made in China.

The steel in this pan is solid and about as thick as the blade of an All-Clad spatula utensil. It is not a clad pan like their stove-top pots and pans.

I imagine if you take the pan out of the fridge with your pre-prepared lasagna in it and immediately put it into a hot, pre-heated oven on a rack at its lowest height (an inch or two above the heating coil in the oven), that may well warp the pan. I prepared my lasagna earlier in the day and stored it in the fridge until just before dinner. I let the pan sit on my counter for about 10-15 minutes before putting it into the oven with the rack set one position above the middle. The pan didn't warp at all, nothing stuck to it, and it cleaned-up like a dream.

This pan is quite a bit larger than I've used in the past for lasagna. I did have to double my recipe to fill it up!

As far as warpage problems, my hunch is someone either got a defective pan--not a surprise considering where it was made (see next paragraph)--or put it too close to the heating element in the stove. From a functionality perspective, the pan I got deserves five stars.

I give it three though because like one or two other reviewers I find it depressing and sad that All-Clad has reverted to having products with their good name on them made in China. Granted, that most certainly is reflected in the price, but I wish American manufacturers would realize there are a lot of folks like me out here who would be more than happy to pay a bit more for something that wasn't manufactured in a communist country where quality and consistency in maintaining quality aren't even close to US standards.

  2. This is a nice-looking pan, but not deep enough for lasagna. Does anyone make a deep dish lasagna pan that's doesn't weigh a ton?

  3. I found this pan on clearance at BB&B for 49.99 and jumped on it. What a great price. I was so excited to finally have a piece of All-Clad in my kitchen. And finally a real pan to roast in. Up until now I had been using my large Emerilware saute pan for roasts. I'd burn my hand on the handle while making reductions everytime because I'd forget it just came out of the oven. I used it tonight for the first time to roast chicken. The chicken came out beautifully cooked, perfectly browned. I pulled it out of the oven and put the pan on my flat-top stove and removed the chicken. I went on to make my reduction and guess what? The pan is wobbling. All-Clad, warped! What a huge disappointment. I'm not sure whether I should have All-Clad replace it or if I should just return it before the 30 days runs out. After reading other reviews, I'm thinking I should probably take it back. The good news is that I knew the pan was hot because, hey, it looks like a roasting pan, not a regular on the stove-top pan, so I didn't burn myself. I really expected better of All-Clad.

  4. Nice, shiny, new, heavy, quality product.

    Two uses later...

Warped and buckled tray bottom, shiny, heavy, poor-quality product.

I am a keen cook and I don't expect to spend this much on an so-called "quality" item only for it to warp and buckle after two uses under normal conditions.

    1 star.

  5. I was so excited to see this in my gold box and bought it immediately. After the first use it warped rather severely. I bet the warp will hold about one half cup of water. I used it to bake a chicken at 350 degrees. I'll be calling All-Clad to see what can be done. Otherwise it's a nice shiny pan.

  1. Finally, elegant meets practical. When this is not in the oven or refrigerator, it sits on the bar side of the kitchen island with something in it. Citrus, seasonal, etc., I just did not want to put this in a cabinet. Pyrex reached a new higher level.

  2. I plan to use this bowl to store sourdough starter in my fridge when not in use. It just arrived and looks perfect for that. So far, I'm very pleased with all the pyrex wares I've bought. Prices simply can't be beat and the quality is supurb. Glass is nice and heavy. The bowl is well balanced and has a sturdy feel to it. I suspect it could survive a drop of 2-3 feet alright, but be careful as it is glass after all.

When I ordered this in a small shipment of pyrex goods, I recieved the wrong item by mistake. I contacted amazon, and within a few hours recieved an email apologizing and stating that they would immediately ship a replacement (and that I had 30 days to return the incorrect item using a postpaid shipping slip I can print out off of amazon). The bowl arrived the next day. All it all it was less than 24 hours between the time my email was read and I recieved the bowl. Kudos to amazons support.

  1. Great product! I purchased both the 2-1/2-quart and the 1-1/2-quart sizes. I'm giving a 4-star rating to each because they're not stackable. I'd like to be able to invert the lid of the larger baking dish and then store the smaller baking dish on top. Alas, this can't be done due to the lid design. There's a rounded bulge in the center of the lid (underneath the handle) that, when inverted, prevents whatever is placed on top of it from sitting level. If these 2 products could be stacked, they'd take up less storage space.

  2. This dish is great. I have used it many times and it does a very good job.

  3. You always expect high quality from Corning but this time they have outdone themselves; mixing exceptional style with exceptional performance. I have many 60's and 70's vintage cookware items and this sleek looking casserole dish fits right in with them.
