1. I have two sets, plus quite a few extra pieces, of this cookware. It is the best I have ever used--and I have been cooking for close to 50 years!!

   I'm not a foodie, but it's high time that I picked up quality kitchen tools. And this is one of them. I'm especially found of the grip and feel (balance).
   
   I have been searching high and low for a wonderful knife such as this. You simply can't find a knife like this in this price range. I paid 18 bucks. It's worth much, much more.



2. I love this knife! It stays sharp, and is the most well-balanced knife I have ever used. The whole Santoku thing is overrated; some items still stick to the knife and always will.
   
   However, this slicer is so easy to work with that I use it as a parer and chopper, too. It has made several of my other knives obsolete.
   
   A word to the wise...you will get attached to this knife very quickly. Protect it from fools! No knife can be just tossed into the sink or used as a prying device without being damaged. The sheath does not stay on very well at all, so don't believe you can sheath it and toss it into your utensil drawer!
   
   Also note, there are only two cutting surfaces that actually won't dull knives - bamboo, and Epicure, with Epicure trumping bamboo for sanitary purposes, and bamboo winning for environmental and aesthetic ones. Choose wisely.

1. This steel has a great feel and as it is two stage (sharpening steel on one side, diamond sharpener on the other) it will not only tune up your knives before use but can also sharpen a dulled knive (you may need to do a professional sharpening if the blade is really dulled).
   But, using it is a bit tricky. One normally holds the steel and then strokes the blade against opposite sides of the steel to hone both edges of the blade. You can't do that here. You need either to rotate the steel 180 degrees on each stroke to make sure the steel side is facing the blade or you need to take several strokes on one side, rotate the steel and then do the other side, or you do one stroke towards and one away keeping the knife on the same side of the steel. The format of the steel makes it a bit tricky to use.
   One more small nit: the steel is a hefty piece of metal. It will not fit in the hole reserved for the steel in my knife block.
   That having been said, when I got mine, I played with it a bit and then honed all my knives and they are beautiful. In fact, they work better now than when I pulled them new from the block.

   The Anolon 'Advanced' does have the 'two stage' feature (The Henckels does not.) so it may be a bit more efficient. It certainly looks nicer than the Henckels. If you are fortunate enough to have a local Macy's, you may wish to check on local availability before paying the shipping cost.

1. This great little pan completes the Anolon cookware set I bought. I love the shape and size and also the pouring spout. I use it all the time for melting butter or using it for BBQ sauce on the grill. A must have.



2. I like Anolon Titanium because it is heavy-duty, non-stick, and dishwasher safe. I am slowly replacing my Calphalon Commercial with Anolon Titanium. As always, the service and pricing at Amazon is unbeatable.



3. This is a great little pot. Perfect for small sauces, melting butter, etc. It's nice not to dirty a larger pot for these smaller jobs. Love the handle and finish.

1. This is a fantastic product! Heat is distributed evenly and cleanup is a cinch! Meats brown very nicely. This pan is far superior to other nonstick pans I have used in the past and I have purchased many!
