1 comments about Anolon Advanced Clad 12-Inch Open Stir Fry with Helper Handle.

  1. I've had this stir-fry pan for some weeks now, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with it. It heats up quickly and evenly with low heat, although you'd want to turn up the heat a little for stir-frying. I've also used it for (Indian) dishes which are primarily liquid in character and need to be reduced while cooking. I do stir it occasionally, and the curry/liquid doesn't stick to the bottom at all! Also, it doesn't splatter or boil over due to the capacious nature of the pan.

The size would work well for a family, as such, it is a little too large for a couple. It is fairly heavy too, and the helper handle does help with that. Both handles remain cool and are comfortable in the hand. I really liked this silicone-rubber stuff! Clean-up is very simple. At the most, it might require minimal soaking before cleaning. I usually clean my pots and pans by hand, so I'm unable to comment about the use of dishwasher for it, although it is supposed to be dishwasher-safe. Also, I've not used it in the oven, though it is supposed to be oven-safe upto 400 F. I've given this item four stars according to my subjective need, and not due to its performance, which, in my opinion deserves five.

PS: As mentioned, it doesn't come with a lid, which is not needed for most of the cooking. But I bought a farberware 12" steel lid to go with it, and although it fits, it doesn't fit 'perfectly.'

  1. Update 4/30: I find myself always making my pasta sauce in this pan. Honestly, it is great! At least a 4-star rating! Also, in comparing the Anolon Advanced stainless with my Cuisinart Chef's Classic stainless, I see that the Anolon core is an integral part of the pan while the Cuisinart core appears to be welded. Under extreme circumstances (left on high heat unattended), I have seen these type cores separate from the pan.

(3/22)Not quite as cheaply made as the Calphalon 'commercial' cookware. The top is extremely light and loose. The base is medium to heavy weight. I do like the Analon handles and hope they stand up under normal wear and tear. It does clean up like a dream. At $32, I thought I might be getting a bit better quality. Were it possible, I would rate this a 3 1/2 star purchase.

  1. This skillet works wonderfully for my husband & myself! We can cook our whole meal & have it come out wonderfully without problems or waiting. Non-stick feature hasn't failed yet!

  2. I recently had to part with one of these skillets since it had gotten ruined with time since my wife does not know that nonstick requires using plastic utensils. Anyway, I love these things and will try to keep her from using it so it will last as it was intended. I wouldn't use anything else for the majority of my cooking on the stove.

  3. I absolutely love this skillet! It lives up to all of it's claims. It has an excellent nonstick surface. It isn't like the nonstick surface that you see on most cookware that has that shiny black finish that wears out in a matter of months. This finish is like no other that I have ever seen on such an inexpensive item. I have used mine for all sorts of things including eggs, and they really do slide right out! It is also extra easy to clean! I cannot say anything bad about this. I got mine on the Friday Sale for $9.99! I wish I had bought several for gifts! This makes me eager to try more Analon products.

  4. I ordered this on 10/15/2006 in Amazon. My order has been delayed 4 times
and when I called Amazon customer service ...they said sorry for delay and I will get it in Feb 2007(4months). It seems like they will just keep delay it until I cancel the order. Again I got mail from Amzaon saying that they cancelled my order in Dec.They said its not available. But I got to say that I'm very dissappointed on how Amazon handled this.
It is redicculous...if it is not available..they should have notified me before...I wasted my time...and I never got this item.

  5. It's great! I didn't expect to get such a "serious" (hefty) skillet for such a price! Great, easily washable surfaces on the inside and outside.
The only thing, as I think someone mentioned before, it seems to be more like an 8 inch at the base...

5 comments about Anolon Classic 8-Piece Cookware Set.

  1. Great set, very good quality and usability. We have used these for 2 years and the only issue is that a couple of the lid handles have loosened but when I try to tighten them they are stripped out because they screw into plastic. They aren't falling off though. I should check the warranty because I think they have a 10 year replacement warranty!

  2. I have been using Calphalon cooking wires. But those were costly. Recently I have purchase this set which seems to be equally good. The only thing needs to be taken care is "Don't cook at high temperature".

  3. The best product to its prices. The set works amazingly, I love the quality. If you go to somewhere alse, it would cost you at least twice-even at Ross. I am going to order this brand again.

  4. I bought this set when it was on sale for $50 shipped..AWESOME DEAL...this is a great cookware set, nothing sticks to the pans and they are substantial in weight and quality. I would have gladly paid twise the amount for this set and still thought it a good deal. Good set if you can get it under $100..

    update 1/13/08
owned over two years now, great set still, no flaking no issues...use every day...

  5. I have been using the Anolon Classic for 3 month. So far, I have no complain about it. Actually I'm completely satisfied. One of the reasons that I chose the product was that it is not so heavy, compared to other similar products such as Calphalon and Circulon. It didn't hurt my arms.
They are easy to clean, too. No need to put them in a dish washer.

2 comments about Anolon SureGrip Bakeware 10-Inch Decorative Fluted Mold, Stars Pattern.

  1. I am venting my frustration with this product here because it is impossible to contact Analon and let them know what I think of their product. The phone number is a recording and the web site on the label is incorrect. I bought the 9.5" Rose mold pan and followed the recipe for the Almond Pound cake that came with it to the letter. What a waste of over $12 in ingredients! They obviously never tested the recipe with the pan, and now I have a kitchen full of smoke, a big mess in my oven, and a cake that won't come out of the pan. BAD PRODUCT! IRRESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURER!

  2. This has been my very first bundt pan, and the very first I have paid more than $3.00 for. :)

I love how easily the cakes slip out. I was also worried about cakes burning the protruding edges of the stars more than the rest of the cake--BUT that is not a problem. I tbakes evenly all around.
