1. It works well on some lids. Will not grab and/or open platic jars. It's restricted in size so will only open jars perhaps 3" in diameter. It does help seniors with arthritis, however.

   I'm not a foodie, but it's high time that I picked up quality kitchen tools. And this is one of them. I'm especially found of the grip and feel (balance).
   
   I have been searching high and low for a wonderful knife such as this. You simply can't find a knife like this in this price range. I paid 18 bucks. It's worth much, much more.



2. I love this knife! It stays sharp, and is the most well-balanced knife I have ever used. The whole Santoku thing is overrated; some items still stick to the knife and always will.
   
   However, this slicer is so easy to work with that I use it as a parer and chopper, too. It has made several of my other knives obsolete.
   
   A word to the wise...you will get attached to this knife very quickly. Protect it from fools! No knife can be just tossed into the sink or used as a prying device without being damaged. The sheath does not stay on very well at all, so don't believe you can sheath it and toss it into your utensil drawer!
   
   Also note, there are only two cutting surfaces that actually won't dull knives - bamboo, and Epicure, with Epicure trumping bamboo for sanitary purposes, and bamboo winning for environmental and aesthetic ones. Choose wisely.

1. I bought a lot of Anolon pans amd thought this would be nice for lids. Only thing, they don't fit. Handles are too high to go into dividers. 20 dollars in the trash.

1. I purchased this pan and the two quart size also. I'm not a expert on cooking pans but I have seen a number of different brands over the years and I like these best. The non-stick surface works nice. Like I said in the review for the 2 quart pan, I have had these pans run dry on the stove and it didn't damage the non-stick surface and it cleaned up easy. I've seen non-stick pans that were damaged by overheating them. Compared to some other top brands, I think these pans are reasonably priced. I looked at a number of them before I decided to buy these. I'm happy with my choice. Now I have to buy the three quart sauce pan.

1. I love Anolon cookware and this Roasting pan did not change my opinion. Cooked a small turkey with plenty of room in the pan. Roasted very even on bottom of bird. Cleanup was a breeze.

1. This is the 2nd and 3rd set I have purchased from Anolon. They are great knives-super shape and an edge thats last, it seems forever. Great weight, very good control. After I got the first 3 piece set I bought 2 8 knife sets for my daughters. All three families love the quick work these knives make of kitchen food prep. Would recommend to others with no resevertions.



2. This is a perfectly balanced wonderful chef's knife. I highly recommend.



3. I bought the set during one of the Friday sales. Knife withstands moderate use very well with occasional honing.
   
   Although the cutting board doesn't have a groove near the edges, the texture of bamboo helps liquids stay on the surface of the board.



4. The dense, bamboo cutting board is simply beautiful. Cleans like plastic rather than wood, and doesn't get those nasty fuzzy spots a wood board usually accumulates. I've run it through the dishwasher with no ill effects, although I'm not sure I was supposed to. The knife does a great job of cutting and slicing onions, celery, peppers, etc., and the cover makes it portable, great for picnics and bbqs away from home. I'd buy this set again for myself or as a gift.



5. Got this knife with the cutting board for 20 bucks (Friday sale). It is well worth the price. I was surprised that it was so large. My husband was even impressed with the quality!
