5 comments about Anolon Classic 10-Inch Crepe Pan.

  1. I use the Anolon 10" crepe pan to make Swedish pancakes. It the perfect size and the non-stick surface has held up after several years.

  2. I bought this at the same time as the book "Crepes: Sweet and Savory Recipes...." and let me tell you, this pan is fantastic. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!!

It not only turns out crepes very easily and nicely, but is also great for cooking up an egg or two and the cleanup is really simple with that non-stick surface. Heating is gradual and balanced well by the construction. No fast heat-up or hot spots on the pan....well made and durable

  3. Inner size might be 08 Inch only. Detail should provide the actual inner size.

  4. What a disappointment! I've waited several months for what I thought would be a larger size non-stick crepe pan. Apparently Analon is using a defective ruler. First of all, the outside dimension with the lip is not even 10". However, when I measure a crepe pan, I measure the inside dimension, not the outer lip because that inner dimension is going to be the size of my finished crepe.

This is an 8" crepe pan, not a 10" crepe pan. So I guess if you really want a 10" crepe pan from Analon, look for a 12" crepe pan.

I could have picked up an 8" crepe pan at any discount department store; I didn't have to wait over two months for a mediocre, small, lightweight, cheesy pan.

  5. I purchased this crepe pan after reading the reviews. (I cancelled another.)
I have learned to equate 'heft' with quality. This item (packed loose) seems very flimsy (which is why it heats and cools so rapidly). I paid $15.99 for this item. I see it is now listed at $19.99. I believe it is not even worth the lower price I paid. Stick with Anolon Advanced if you are seeking quality (or the inexpensive Calphalon 'Commercial' which is heavier weight).

1 comments about Anolon Commercial Bakeware 9-Inch-by-13-Inch Rectangular Bake Pan.

  1. I have been really impressed with the Anolon Cookware, great quality with superior non-stick finish. So, when this pan came on sale, I said to myself, "Self, is it not time to retire those old ugly baking pans and get the ease of use and beauty of Anolon?" Well, myself could not resist this persuasive agrument, and promptly ordered the new pan.

Imagine my shock, dismay and horror (OK, you don't really have to imagine it...) when I used the pan and discovered that (hold your breath) the surface was just the aluminum coated metal stock, and no non-stick surface, and eeew, I had to scrape the pan clean like unto the old style pans. The quality is better, the pan is much deeper, which is a plus, but do not order this if you are thinking that it has the superb Anolon non-stick finish. It doesn't. It's sticky, not non-stcky. But I am stuck with sticky, now, in any event.

5 comments about Anolon Titanium Non Stick Dishwasher Safe 4-Quart Covered Chef's Pan.

  1. I bought this pan last year Aug, it's only one year old, the coating start to come off. I always hand wash this pot, use soft rubber cookware, it still did not work. Just let everybody know, don't waste your money on this one.

  2. I love this pan. don't need any oil to brown and cook everything. from stir fry to stoups, everything cooks evenly, no hot spots. clean up is just a swish of warm water or at worst, a wipe with a sponge. this is fantastic cookware. get whatever you can afford to own.

  3. The 4 qt. pan was just exactly what I wanted and expected, just as the other Anolon products that I have purchased. The price was right, also!

  4. IT IS GREAT PAN. I REALLY LIKE THE FACT THAT IT FITS THE BURNER BETTER AND IT IS REALLY NON STICK. I HAVE NOT TRIED IT IN THE DISHWASHER.

  5. This pan entered our family because the younger generation was doing a lot of frying-pan cooking, and scrubbing out the old (uncoated) frying pan was becoming a task that no one wanted to do. We needed something that would cook well, be easy to clean--in the dishwasher, if possible--and would stand up to hard use by the whole family.

I chose this pan because according to my pre-purchase research, Anolon Titanium uses the Autograph coating, the newest/best Dupont non-stick surface, and the titanium-composite outer shell means that the hard-anodized aluminum pan won't be destroyed in the dishwasher, when you use mild gel soaps and moderate temperatures (instructions included with pan). I've previously steered clear of anodized aluminum because I don't want to HAVE to handwash anything--as is evident from the paragraph above.

    Good points of this pan:

** It goes in the dishwasher! We use a gel soap, setting the cycle to "Normal" and "Air Dry" -- the lowest temperatures possible on our machine. This size, with loop handle and stick handle, exactly fits the front-to-back space in the lower dishwasher rack. When we take the pan out, we season it lightly with olive oil before using it again.

** Lid is unbreakable stainless, not glass--a feature found only in the Titanium line among the Anolon products.

** Food doesn't weld itself to the cooking surface, so it comes off easily, either in or out of the dishwasher. (Use non-metal tools to maintain the cooking surface.)

** Sides and bottom are equally heavy--means no "hot spots" or "cool spots" when pan is pre-heated at a mid-low temperature setting. Even if you slop pancake batter up on the sides of the pan, the finished product is well-done, if a trifle bent.

** Sides are high enough to accomodate even a sloppily aimed pancake or a rather enthusiastically stirred stir-fry. There are fewer bits of food scattered over the stovetop after cooking sessions.

** The long, slightly textured stainless handle is comfortably shaped for a variety of hand sizes, easy to grip, slip-resistant, and stays cool during the average cooking session. The loop handle is also textured, slip-resistant, and comfortably shaped, but gets warm faster.

** The pan is oven-safe to 500 degrees, though it cannot be used under a broiler. You can start a recipe on the stovetop, finish it in the oven, and not change pans.

** Construction seems sturdy and commercial-quality, very heavy-duty.

Pleas note that most people probably won't need/want something this big and heavy. This is definitely a pan for feeding a crowd--or at least a couple of hungry teenagers and the other folks in the family.

We've not had this pan long enough to give a rating on its durability--the Autograph surface, if properly used, is supposed to be 300% more durable than standard non-stick surfaces. However, we do seem to be using this pan at almost every meal and we are definitely giving the durability factor a test. We'll check back in a year or two...

  1. I love kitchen gadgets and tools. The Anolon Small Strainer is the perfect size for my small galley kitchen. The conical shape is especially useful for my morning coffee which I brew in a ceramic Turkish style pot. I never liked the extra grounds and this filters them out perfectly. It is worth the price.

  1. Just kidding, sorta. It didn't skim the foam off my jelly as well as I had hoped, and I did use it once to catch my new fish because I forgot to buy a net, but it was o.k. It is good for getting things out of the water that you want drained. It was inexpensive and Iwill use it, just not for what I intended.
