1. After purchasing this necklace, I learned a few things about natural pearls:
   No two are identical. They are formed inside an oyster as a defense mechanism against an irritant that becomes lodged in the creatures tissues. The oyster does care if it is not perfectly round.
   There is no such thing as a naturally black pearl. They are dyed to resemble a blackish color. Each pearl has different porosity an thus absorbes different amounts of dye. Therefore the color is not uniform from one pearl to the next.
   When the jeweler measures each pearl, he/she measures it at the widest point. So, a 7mm pearl may be only 5 mm at it's narrowest diameter.
   So the necklace I received was not what I was expecting, but the merchant does offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so I was invited to return it if I was not satisfied.

1. This necklace has a unique and elegant look. It sits at about collarbone level and goes nicely with several styles of necklines, whether scoop or V-neck. This is a good choice for a necklace that's a little more distinctive than the typical pendant or string of pearls.



2. This is pretty but the pearls are smaller and less shiny than in the picture. Also, if you have a larger neck, this is more of a choker than a necklace.



3. This necklace is a lot more colorful than depicted in the photo. I wanted something jet black for a formal occasion and was a little taken back by how colorful it actually was. I still love it and it works with other outfits, but keep in mind, that it is more blue, green & purple than it looks from this picture.



4. I was very disappointed in the illusion black pearl necklace last Christmas. The pearls were badly painted with globs of paint on many of the pearls. I had bought this as a present but it looked too cheap to give.

1. This is a very pretty necklace at a very inexpensive price. I loved the looks, but once i wore it, I realized that it scratches. A half a day is the most I can stand wearing the necklace on my skin. Anything longer leaves me with a rash and skin abbrasions.

1. These are beautiful earrings. Beautifully detailed and elegant. The only negative-they are a little large and bulky. They are slightly heavier than I would have liked them to be. But that is the nature of sterling and pearls. I still enjoy wearing them and I get a lot of compliments.



2. I LOVE these, I literally swooned when I saw them! They have a vintage feel and are perfect for my wedding. They are a bit large so not for the faint of heart!

1. Bought this from the Amazon Gold Box deals. For the price, this is a lovely little set that my wife and daughter can enjoy together. (I ordered it as a gift from my daughter to my wife for Mother's Day.) Quality seems to be pretty good from what I can see. The set just looks very pretty and is fun for mom & daughter to wear together.



2. I purchased this for my mother not realizing the daughter necklace would be extremely small. It fit around my neck like a choker. When my mother opened the box, she said that she could use it as a bracelet. It's really fine quality. I almost wished I purchased one myself.



3. My husband bought this set to have my daughter give it to me for Mothers Day. When she realized that it was a set we would both use she was even more thrilled! What little girl doesn't like to wear thing like mommy has?? We put the necklaces and earrings on immediately and wore them all the rest of the day! Now whenever we go somewhere (even to the grocery store) she asks if we should put on our matching jewelry!
   The necklaces are nicely made and should last for years. the one drawback to the necklaces is that they are close enough to chokers, I would have liked a little more slack in mine. It was not TIGHT but I personally do not like straight around the neck, I like a little slack so it drapes a little. The Pearl earrings did not make our ears itch or break out after a full day of wear.
   The best thing about this set in my opinion is the wonderful memories we will have of wearing our matching sets to special occasions together!



4. i bought this as a gift for my mom who is not much for wearing jewelry as an introduction to pearls and surprisingly she liked them so now she only wears pearls .



5. I bought this set to share with my daughter on Mother's day. I told her she made me a mom and I loved her and I wanted to share something with her that we could keep forever.
   I got these on a Gold Box deal so it was a great price. I was feeling a little skeptical when I ordered them but I was pleasantly suprised when I received the box.
   This is a beautiful set. Great quality and nice sized. The daughter sized pearls are the most precious thing.
   My daughter was very happy and loved them. She wore hers in this year's school picture.
