1. This review is a bit mixed. While this is a children's silver locket, I ordered it for my mom to wear on her charm bracelet. When it arrived I was pleased with the quality, it was high polished sterling silver with a small diamond accent, as described. However, I wasn't at all pleased with the packaging and the front of the heart was scratched, right next to the diamond. Also the chain was a tangled mess and I can't get the knot out. Basically it comes in a blue jewelry pouch which would look pretty if there were a small box INSIDE the pouch with the necklace mounted on it. Instead they just throw the necklace into the pouch. I am glad I had it shipped to me and not the recipient. I would have been embarassed for her to get it like this. They are sending me a replacement and the shipping was free and only two days transit time. So, if the replacement isn't scratched and tangled, it should be lovely. Incidentally, I reduced some photos to fit the locket and it should be just adorable once its all put together.



2. The chain was very thin and fragile. The locket, itself, stopped closing properly within 3 days. I plan to send it back for a refund. Pretty, but piece of junk.

1. Nice jewelry for a nice young girl to wear made of the finest sterling silver.



2. The locket on this cable chain is so tiny, you will not be able to put a picture in it. After opening the box and being completely disappointed, I opened the locket to see how it worked. It would not close properly after opening. The quality of this necklace is not good - do not waste your money.



3. We bought this locket for my daughter, and had it personalized with her initials on one side, and the year on the other. This is such a small locket, that it will be very hard to put a picture in it. Also, the locket is very, very hard to open. The top of the heart wasn't closed all the way, so the locket kept falling off the chain, we had to have it fixed. Now it stays together, my daughter loves it and wears it every day, but I would have bought a different locket if I had realized how small this is, and that we would have to do some repairs on it before it could be worn.



4. My 5-year-old daughter was thrilled with her locket. It is really beautiful. We were both quite disappointed, however, when the locket itself broke...the loop that attaches to the bail completely came off. She is a normal kid, but was not overly rough with the necklace. It is currently at the jeweler's to be fixed.

1. The picture makes it look much nicer than it actually is. But for $30-40 its hard to complain. Spouse likes it, but I would not buy it again if I saw it first.

4. Amazon sucks, I bought the locket for 23.99 in PLENTY of time in the "Gold Box" deal and go to check out and they charge me 40.00. what a rip off, of course I cancelled it. I use to like this place but not anymore



5. This is a nice locket, pretty in its simplicity. The locket is the perfect size and weight, the chain a good length, and it shines well. The chain is extraordinarily thin however, any little catch and it will snap. I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than occasional wear because of that.

1. This locket was dime-sized--much smaller than I had anticipated. It was also very plain and looked cheap. The mother-of-pearl locket was MUCH BETTER!



2. This is a nice, well made locket for the price. It's simple and cleanly designed; its hinges seem solid; and it opens easily and closes securely. Adding to its magic, it seems to come up fairly often in Amazon's "Today's Deals" listings to offer buyers an additional 30, 40, or 50 percent off its regular price. (I bought three at 40 percent off and wear them together on a single chain.)
   
   I'm always amazed by reviews that down-rate an item simply because it was smaller or larger than the buyer expected. Like all of Amazon's jewelry, this item's description includes its dimensions, and the locket measures up. The external "0.81 inches" clearly identified in the item description is about the size of a nickel. Inside, the locket holds photos just over a half-inch in diameter (0.57 inches, to be exact). It should be noted that there is no internal frame to hold the pictures in place, but the locket's slightly concave design allows them to be securely pressed into place so they don't move or dislodge. In fact, they seat so securely that it took some real effort to remove a photo so I could swap it for a different one.
   
   Overall, this a nice looking, delicate locket at a great price. If that's what you're looking for, this locket won't disappoint.

   I purchased two of these and both my wife and daughter love them. Only wish they came with a chain.



2. I was very disappointed with this locket I purchased it for Christmas for my daughter. It is very odd looking and resembles a tea ball instead of a locket. I returned it after Christmas. It does not include a chain which I did not notice when I purchased it, but if the chain was as unattractive as the locket it wouldn't have made a difference.



3. I was quite pleased with this item. Large enough for pics to be seen, small enough not to be intrusive to your outfit. Not heavy at all. I date a man with four children, and used the locket to put pics of us and the children in. He found it quite endearing, and the kids think it looks "cool". I also like it because it is a departure from a traditional heart locket. Thanks.



4. My husband bought me one of these 6 picture lockets many years ago and I carry photos of him, my kids and my dog inside. I especially like to wear it whenever I'm traveling alone. If I start feeling lonely, I open it for a quick glance at my family's smiling faces. I bought the same locket for a couple of my friends after they raved over mine. It's pretty, not too heavy and well made. I love it!



5. I received the lockets I ordered today... much faster than I had anticipated. Each came in its own silver colored gift box which was a relief because the chains I ordered from a different vendor came in a single gift bag. I got the 9/16" and am pleased with the way it looks on the chain. I would recommend the 2mm if you are going to use a silver chain. I used a 1/2"punch to cut out my pics. It is slightly larger than the cutout meant for the pics but I am willing to sacrifice size for the uniform cut. I plan to use Terrifically Tacky Tape to adhere the pics to the locket. I would definitely buy these again from this vendor.

1. I ordered this for my mom's birthday. The necklace looks just like it does in the picture. At first I was annoyed with how to put in a picture which is why gave the product a 4, I have however figured out how to do it. Basically cut out a picture in the shape of the heart's interior and slide it under the top part of the heart ( the downward point \/ ) hope that make sense. Practice with a piece of paper first.



2. Beautiful piece but as others experienced I could not figure out how to put the picture in the locket so I simply used some glue to paste the picture. Has a small scuff on the back of the locket.



3. Considering the price, this is a pretty good find. The only real complaints I have are that it's much smaller than the picture would have you believe and that it's very difficult to open without damaging. If you plan on keeping pictures in it, make sure you have them in the smallest size available, and be careful when openeing it.



4. I can't figure out why others found inserting the picture into the locket so difficult. There is a piece of plastic inside of it that you need to pop out with a pin or something, (try at the point of the heart where there is a small gap). You can then insert your picture (the plastic piece makes a good pattern to trace on your photo) and pop the plastic piece back in on top of it. Once you have the plastic out, you should be able to see what I mean. Good luck! The locket is exactly as advertised.



5. It is hard to open and close but it is so beautiful. It goes perfectly with my girlfriend's complexion. We are both so happy I found this locket.

1. My husband got me this locket for Valentines Day. It is exactly as described. There is room enough inside for two pictures. I am very happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone interested in buying a sterling silver heart shaped locket. It is a great value for the money.



2. I bought this for my girlfriend and she likes it. I surprised her with it for valentines day and put a picture of myself in one side and our newly acquired puppy on the other. The only problem she has with it is that it makes her skin itch and break out. But, don't let this scare you she does have very sensitive skin and many allergies. The chain is quited durable and overall we think it is a fine piece.



3. My wife LOVED it! This pendant was great for my wife and I was even thinking about getting one for my daughter for her birthday. But the clasp broke within 3 weeks and is not usable. I will be getting a little better chain with clasp that will hold a lot better than it did. But don't let this 'clasp' issue prevent you from buying one. The locket itself is really nice. Good product for the price.

5. I bought this for my mother and mother-in-law for mother's day. I had the front and back engraved and it looks very nice. The chain is nice as well and not one of those very fine flemsy chains. It's a little hard cutting a picture out to put in the heart but you would have that problem with any heart shape.

1. I was very pleased with the lockets (I purchased two for gifts). It took me a few moments to figure out how to open the locket, but once I figured that out, no problem. They arrived in a timely manner. I am a very satisfied customer!



2. The compass was smaller than I expected, but that didn't detract from its beauty. If anything, it added a delicate aspect that a large, clunky thing would have missed. I LOVE this!



3. I got this as a Mother's Day gift to "always be able to find my way back to my boys." This is a beautiful piece of work with an additional value of functionality. It is about the same height as a stack of 6 pennies. It is simple and unique without looking like a junk charm. My only complaint is that it does not come with a chain, but, c'est la vie.
   
   Of all the pendants I've owned -- I honestly think I like this the best.

1. I bought this for my girlfriend because she wanted a locket. It is extremely small, and basically a persons head cut out of a wallet sized picture MIGHT fit in it. But she loves it. I've been told that it closes tight enough so that water doesn't get into it if you forget to take it off, and it does look nice.
   
   The chain is very weak, broke the first day. We just went and bought a cheap chain (you can get chains for like $3 at superstores), so it really wasn't a big deal.



2. Very nice locket perfect gift for my girlfriend. Very small locket just what i wanted. The only difficluty you will have is trimming the tiny pictures to fit inside of the locket.



3. My father bought this for my daughter for a Yule gift. It was lovely, and she couldn't wait to wear it. Unfortunately, when she tried to open it the four leaf clover part popped off. The part went missing, and now we have a blank locket with a glue spot.
   If it had stayed together I would have given it a four to 5 star rating. It is a very cute piece that is perfect for a young lady.



4. I really like this little locket. I read the reviews ahead of time, so I immediately moved it to a different chain. Haven't had the chain breaking issue. :) It is VERY VERY small, though. Small enough that I don't know if you could actually even fit the ashes of a four-leaf clover in the compartment. :P Two of these would make cute earrings. ;)



5. a friend of mine gave one of these to me randomly after a road trip. to be quite honest, I thought it was a gas station souvenir, because it was so cheaply made, but I loved it! it's tiny, delicate and adorable...and sitting in my car in a cup holder since the chain broke after wearing it for 2 days.
