This is essentially the same review that I wrote for the amethyst 14K yellow gold and diamond pendant, which I bought together with these 14 K yellow gold, two carat amethyst earrings for my grand daughter's 21st birthday. The review for the necklace covered everything I can say about these earrings and I was very happy to find I had made a good decision about making the purchases. I really like to see what I'm buying and thought it might be a bit risky to buy jewelry sight unseen. When the items arrived, I found I need not have worried. I think the price for both the earrings and the necklace are very reasonable, with 50% off, so quite a bargain. I hoped the seller would take the time to make sure there was a good colour match between them and it was absolutely perfect. The stones are clear, unblemished, very nicely cut and the setting shows them off to their best advantage. In addition to the royal blue pouch the company provided as gift wrap, the items are packed in royal blue cardboard boxes of excellent quality and are decorated with a lovely white bow. This bow fastens with velcro so I was able to check the contents without ruining the gift wrap effect. Inside this box was another little jewelry box, in the shape of a round topped treasure chest, with a functioning clasp. This box itself is a treasure and one she will be able to keep this and other jewelry in. My husband and I are both very, very pleased with the quality of workmanship in both items and I will definitely be looking for any future gift needs from Fine Jewelers. 1. I purchased this for my 4 year old daughter because she was going into surgery and we wanted to give her something to show her that we are with her. It is very pretty and size appropriate. It is great for little girls or for adults that like dainty small charms. It is about 3/4 of an inch long and shines.
   
   I gave it four stars because the chain does knot up badly if not laid straight quickly after taking off. It is what it is... you get what you paid for, but I have seen things like this being atleast [...] bucks. This was a steal and wonderful deal.
   
   Our little girl loves it and hasn't busted it yet. I say this because I have a 4 and 5 year old... no matter what I put on my eldest it ends up broken, including the butterfly chain that I previously reviewed. This one is holding up well.
