5 comments about Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude.
  1. This book was GREAT! I reccommend it to anyone, and i actually think that in some way it is better than Think and Grow Rich

  2. This is unquestionably one of the very best books ever written on the science of personal success. Written in the same vein as the Napoleon Hill classic, "Think and Grow Rich," this book is full of inspiring examples of how focusing the mind upon intended positive outcomes can be the catalyst to great accomplishment and personal growth.

    The message is extremely powerful and its strict application MUST invariably lead you towards the fulfillment of whatever aims you focus its principles towards.

    In the spirit of full disclosure, I should say that I am a speaker, trainer, and author of another unique and highly valuable learning tool that can also be found here on Amazon: The WealthLoop Series Beginner's Guide to Personal Wealth Creation (Combo Audio/Data CD): Audio Seminar With Downloadable 40-Page Action Manual and Active Link Library. It is a straight-forward discussion of the art and science of personal wealth creation and should be considered by anyone serious about wanting to learn more about the right way to get started on the road to personal wealth creation and financial freedom!

    Other "WealthLoop Series" tools of worth looking into include:

    The WealthLoop Series Beginner's Guide to Building Wealth Buying Houses: The Foolproof Roadmap to Real Estate Riches Without the Risks and Hassles of Landlording

    and

    The WealthLoop Series Beginner's Guide to Building Wealth Buying Houses (Combo Audio/Data CD): Author's Audio Commentary Plus Downloadable 32-page Marketing Manual, Checklists, Spreadsheets, and Forms.

  3. I'm a busy venture capitalist who normally would not take the time to write a review about a book that I bought for someone else. But, that's precisely the point. I read "Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude" 30 years ago and it has made all the difference in my life. It can in yours, too, but you have to apply it and constantly monitor your thinking. Everything starts as a thought. The Golden Gate bridge started as an idea in an architect's mind. He then put it on paper and showed it to others in a positive manner and with an enthusiasm that persuaded others to believe in the idea and to take action.

    There is one other book that can also make quite a difference and will guide you with wisdom, hope and faith that can fuel the positive energy that comes from PMA. That is the good old fashioned Bible. I'm not religious or a "Bible thumper;" just a guy who wishes he'd read it 30 years ago as well. The two books will arm you for a great life. And, you would like to do something collectively as well (but it is not necessary in order to benefit from these two books), then I encourage you to read my book, "ResoNation." Resonation: Enlightened Government for We the People[

  4. At age 21 I read this wonderful book, and it changed my life forever!
    The book inspired me to be more, learn more and achieve so much more, while sheltering me from all the negatives that surround us. Over the last 31 years I have become successful, in great part to this book, which inspired me to write my own self help book: THE POWER OF BEING DIFFERENT.
    What really inspires people is real life examples of successful individuals that had been unsuccessful and struggling for many years. This book keeps you pumped up in every single chapter.
    It actually inspired me to write and publish 5 of my own books.
    My goal was to write a book like this one that would inspire and lift someone up in every single chapter.
    THIS ONE IS A WINNER!!!!! Don't miss out.
    John Paul Carinci

  5. This is another self-help book that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The book begins with PMA and NMA talismans, in other words a gimmick. It reminds me of the old-timer street hawkers that sold elixirs that would help any illness you had.

    I do believe in the power of your mind being part of what you need to concentrate on to be whatever you want to be. I just don't see a need to have someone push a "end-all" to get there. If theirs is the ONLY way to achieve it, why are there so many self-help books on the market? Also, it is mostly a rewrite of Hill's THINK AND GROW RICH and if you want to know about that book, buy it, not this one.

    If you are someone that needs a push and a gimmick to get your going in the right direction, this audio book many give you what you need. If you don't, then it will not hold much interest for you.

5 comments about Think and Grow Rich - Complete Original Text: Special 70th Anniversary Edition.
  1. One of the original sources for many of the 'self-help' books available today, Napoleon Hill's classic is a must read for readers who enjoy these types of books. This book continues to be on best-seller lists, even though nearly eight decades have passed since its original publication - a true testemont to the stregnth of the ideas presented here.

  2. Written more than 70 years ago and the ideas still pertain to life today. There are some ideas of Napoleon's that I do not agree with however many are "right on"! This book will help you gain awareness and conciousness and help you in your spiritual journey.

  3. After finishing "Think and Grow Rich" I have suddenly realized that this simple slogan is the single way of life in a capitalist society. In this book, as the only way of getting rich, the author advocates goal-directed way of life, purposefulness, constant self-perfection, courage, the skill to think and to act, and the other similar traits of character.

    Many people came to a conclusion that the wealth, in some extent, depends on a level of education, motivation, self-esteem, and so on. The problem is that not all the people in equal extend incline to the education, to their self-improvement. This is because of the differences of their needs, habits, abilities, capabilities, and so on. Leo Tolstoy in his novel "Resurrection" arose a question of how to improve the level of education within a society: from inside of each individual or from outside? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Should first the level of education of each and every individual be risen which yields a revolution (dialectic transition of quantity into quality) or the revolution should make the environment to foster the education of every individual?

    The traits advocated by Napoleon Hill correspond to the first Leo Tolstoy's way of improving society. If each and every individual will improve, the society will automatically improve. The second way of Leo Tolstoy (create the environment which will foster the education of every individual) is contrary to Napoleon Hill's ideas: "if something is got for free or without big effort, it won't be appreciated, won't be handled with care or you won't trust it". Free education and medical care won't be respected properly by people, regardless how good this education and medical care are. That's why the socialist society will develop slower than capitalist. Marxists knew this and have built the concept of World revolution (to overthrow of capitalism in all countries), and a further idea by Trotsky that it was impossible to build socialism in a single country. Trotsky wrote that the socialist economy is not as efficient as capitalist and without the World revolution the USSR won't be able to overcome its economic underperformance.

    Napoleon Hill praises the freedom and opportunities of the capitalist society of the U.S. in particular, which gives, according to Napoleon Hill, boundless opportunities for an individual who is able to think and grow rich.

    I also recommend "The Road to Serfdom" by F. A. Hayek in addition to this book. Although "Think and Grow Rich" is a classical self-help book for a general reader while "The Road to Serfdom" is mostly academic, I think that both of them should be read.

  4. There are perhaps a half-dozen or so exceptional"financial" books that I've read over the years. This is one of them. Wish I had read this in my late teens or early 20's instead of discovering it in my 30's or 40's. I gave this book as a gift to my daughters when they first entered the working world and continue to give this book as a gift to other young persons.

  5. Who hasn't heard of the classic book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill? Is it a book about positive thinking or is it a book about wealth building? The answer: Both! After sixty plus years, this book is still selling millions of copies worldwide and for good reason.

    I first read this famous book over twenty years ago. In all honestly, I can say Think and Grow Rich changed by life for the better. The concept that my mind could control my ability to make or not make money was an entirely new realization for me. This book, more than any of my formal education, gave me the training and direction I needed to become more successful and self-satisfied personally, professionally and financially.

    Napoleon Hill was an intellectual pioneer in the wealth building movement. His research and study for this book is probably one of the most read, quoted and imitated on the subjects of success and wealth. Around the world, this classic has sold over 15 million copies. One caveat: It was published in the 1920-30's by a man who wrote it primarily for men - it can be sexist. BUT it's the over-all message that makes it a time-proven classic.

    Andrew Carnegie commissioned Napoleon Hill to research and discover why some people succeeded despite all odds to become successful millionaires while others, and sometimes with even greater opportunities, could barely make ends meet. Hill interviewed the greatest entrepreneurial leaders of his time - Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison and more. Napoleon Hill devoted years to studying, understanding, interrupting and writing about success.

    Hill determined that the truly successful men he interviewed shared certain mental qualities in common. These common qualities became the thirteen steps of Think and Grow Rich. Hill believed that by understanding and applying these thirteen steps, you could live a full, meaningful and wealthy life.

    Napoleon Hill discovered that the human mind is our greatest wealth-building ally. Most people, he concluded, were "afraid" of poverty. They literally were programming their mind to be and stay poor. Hill concluded that most of us focus energy on not being poor instead of becoming wealthy. Becoming wealthy is an entirely different mind-set than not being poor. We waste valuable time and energy on avoiding poverty instead of accumulating wealth.

    Hill spends the majority of the book explaining the power of the human mind. What you think about and focus on most often, becomes your reality. Becoming and staying wealthy, Hill explains, is as much mental as it is about physically making money. This may sound straightforward today, but back in the 1920's and 1930's it was revolutionary.

    Hill concluded: When you combine reasoning skills with imagination, an unwavering belief and then take positive consistent action - wealth can be yours! Basically, "wealth consciousness" is achieved by making the conscious decision to become wealthy. With belief, positive thought and consistent positive action, you're allowing yourself to become wealthy faster.

    Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is the classic read for developing an unstoppable mind-set for successful wealth building. I've personally read and/or listened to this book many times.

    Wealth is more than accumulating money; it's a conscious and subconscious mind-set and lifestyle. Wealth is about having the money to enjoy living life. Wealth is an energy that flows in and out of your life. It's our responsibility to tap into this energy and create and maintain an abundant and wealthy life.

  1. It seems like the classics like these and Dale C & Earl N. Will always be the best.

  2. I think the words inspiration, enthusiasm, action and focus sum up the core principles of this book nicely. How could one not be compelled to read a book by a man who went from door-to-door insurance salesman to owner of a billion dollar company -- Mr. Stone's wisdom is timeless, and he reveals all in this book.

    Do yourself a favor and buy this one, read it twice, and begin to practice its principles immediately.

3. I seen W. Clement Stone referenced in other motivational books by Zig Ziglar, Earl Nightingale etc, but had never read any of his writings. I have found The Success System That Never Fails to be inspirational and very enjoyable reading. Mr. Stone wrote in a very conversational manner and consistently urges readers to put the ideas gleaned from his writings into action and do it now. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in trying to get the most out of life.

  4. When I was about 14 years old my dad a self made successful real estate broker in Inkster Michigan insisted I read this book. This book has been etched in my mind ever since. 43 years later, I've found an original copy of this book to give to my dad as a gift. That's how important this book is. If you do a you tube video search you can hear Stone in his own words give you the first 8 segments of the book. After hearing him, I know you'll want to buy this book. I like this book because 1) he gives you practical, useful stories of how he developed a success system which never failed for him in business. He gives concrete ideas on what to say and do to develop a success system. The most important thing you will take from this book is a perspective and behaviorally specific tips on how to become successful. What this book shows you is the key to your own wealth: you will learn that you need to track all of your activities, behaviors and goals and do a critical analysis, and apply that which works in every step of your processes. What you will discover combined with the principles he's sharing, is your own success system which never fails. Sometimes we forget when involved in our daily activities is the necessity to look at what works and discard what doesn't. We need to fine tune our approach to tasks and develop systems which can be duplicated over and over again. If you're one of those type of people who yearn to understand how "self help" works and how it can be applied in "your" life then this book is for you. There is no fluff; at the time Stone wrote this book I think people were less enamored with manipulation and more focused on helping people.

  5. It's a good book, but I mainly wanted the audio-book that came with it. It is a very poor recording, with the narrator seeming as if he thinks he is on a stage and feels the need to project. I felt as if I was being yelled at and was unable to listen to the recording for more than a few minutes.

  1. I have two copies of this book and I think there are some good chapters in this book . My favorite part is in chapter 14 , "let great men shape your life ". I like the idea of having "Invisible Counselors". The imagination can be a powerful influence.

  2. This book is a classic that I read twenty years ago and wanted to have my own copy as I think it is a good reference for self-improvement. It has stood the test of time.

  3. A true classic. The grand grand father of all self help books. Stand the test of time. Very helpful indeed. Must read.

    p.s. Below please find some of my favorite "and classical" passages for your reference.

    Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve. pg 32

    Knowledge becomes power only when, and if, it is organized into definite plans of action and directed to a definite end. pg 76

    Success requires no explanations. Failure permits no alibis. pg 138

    Genuine wisdom is usually conspicuous through modesty and silence. pg 141

    Men who accumulate great fortunes are generally known as cold blooded, and sometimes ruthless. Often they are misunderstood. What they have is will power, which they mix with persistence, and place back of their desires to insure the attainment of their objectives. pg 151

  4. If you are looking to start a business, advance in your career or develop the mind of a young individual this is the best starter book. Napoleon Hill's philosophy about weatlth and mindset is bar non the best (based off of Andrew Carnegie)content I ever read. This book got me the right mindset to launch my real estate investing business. A must read!

  5. All of the great reviews I read say it ALL. This book is a timeless classic & a great educator for all who take the time to read it. Some are under the false thought that this great work is only for those in sales or that the book's ONLY objective is to make money. This book is for True success in ALL areas of life!

    If it is not already, this book should be on the recommended reading list for All High School Graduates, so they can get a off to a good roaring start in life! It has pushed me to SUCCESS!

    I sure wish I had it when I came out of school

5 comments about Napoleon Hill's Keys to Success: The 17 Principles of Personal Achievement.
  1. There are thousands of self-help books out in the market and hundreds of self proclaimed "gurus" who have made a living by copying the wisdom in Napoleon Hill's books. As I went through some of those books I realized that there was not much in them that Hill had not already written about. I recommend quality over quantity. Instead of reading through many books, I recommend that you study the following works of Hill and internalize his wisdom:
    1. The Think and Grow Rich Action Pack (1937) - I recommend the Action Pack edition,
    2. Napoleon Hill's Keys to Success: The 17 Principles of Personal Achievement - this book,
    3. Your Right To Be Rich [Unabridged] - this consists of 12 hours of live lectures covering the 17 principles, that Hill conducted in Chicago in 1954.
    By internalizing, I mean studying in depth - analyzing the ideas, making notes and summaries. I own more CDs by Hill, but I believe that these 3 items make the perfect study plan on the Philosophy of Personal Achievement.
    This philosophy is the end product of two decades of research conducted by Napoleon Hill. His research started when Andrew Carnegie (the steel tycoon who was then the richest man on earth) gave him the assignment of organizing a Philosophy of Personal Achievement. Hill, who was a poor journalist, armed with just an introductory letter from Carnegie, set out to interview over five hundred successful people including Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, John D. Rockefeller, George Eastman, William Wrigley Jr. and Charles M. Schwab. Hill then revealed the priceless wisdom of his research in the form of the thirteen steps to success (in Think and Grow Rich) and the seventeen Principles of Personal Achievement (in courses and lectures he conducted).
    This particular book goes beyond the 13 steps in Think and Grow Rich. It covers the following 17 Principles of Personal Achievement (also known as the 17 Keys to Success):
    1. Develop a Definiteness of Purpose
    2. Establish a Mastermind Alliance
    3. Assemble an Attractive Personality
    4. Use Applied Faith
    5. Go the Extra Mile
    6. Create Personal Initiative
    7. Build a Positive Mental Attitude
    8. Control Your Enthusiasm
    9. Enforce Self-Discipline
    10. Think Accurately
    11. Control Your Attention
    12. Inspire Teamwork
    13. Learn from Adversity and Defeat
    14. Cultivate Creative Vision
    15. Maintain Sound Health
    16. Budget Your Time and Money
    17. Use Cosmic Habitforce
    The concepts taught by Napoleon Hill transformed my life. Everything he wrote about or talked about is thought provoking. He was wise, humble and funny. His philosophy is universal; he did not mix it with religion. The riches he referred to were more than money, for the Philosophy of Personal Achievement can be applied to anything in life.
    Hill was well ahead of his time. "Think and Grow Rich" has a chapter dedicated to some of today's most important issues - Specialized Knowledge, Decision Making, Imagination and Organized Planning (in which he deals with Leadership). And his principles deal with Teamwork, Creative Vision, Health, etc.
    I am greatly indebted to Napoleon Hill. The purpose of my writing this is to spread awareness of his work so that more people can benefit from it. This, I believe is the best way in which Hill would have liked to have been repaid.
    If my review was helpful to you, I request you to select "Yes" so that the rating is improved and more readers will get to read it. Please also see the website of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, naphill dot org, which has helpful resources.

  2. Sure, this is a wonderful starter kit (yes, I do have this book...) in addition to Hill's other books like "Think and Grow Rich", "The Master Key To Riches", et al. But more than that, it is a primer that makes you hungry for the mental nourishment of his full "Law Of Success" which I have just ordered through Amazon. And why am I giving this distillation five stars? C'mon, isn't it obvious, through these *distilled* principles you get a pretty good taste of the "spirit-voice" of Napoleon Hill. And when he says in later versions of "Think and Grow Rich" - 'through these pages we have met'. You know what he means here, even though it is shortened and edited. So, I've said enough, get started, happy reading.

    Captain Josh/Joshua Clayton

  3. The first batch of significant books that had the greatest influence on me in terms of attaining personal achievement includes mostly Napoleon Hill's books:

    - The Law of Success;
    - Think & Grow Rich;
    - The Keys to Success;
    - Success through a Positive Mental Attitude;
    - Succeed & Grow Rich through Persuasion;

    The others were from Clement Stone, Dale Carnegie, & Earl Nightingale.

    That was the early 70's when I had just started work as a young engineer.

    The author, Napoleon Hill, had impressed me most by his relentless dedication in spending some two to three decades of his life in pursuing & researching the success secrets of the rich & famous...with a little help from Andrew Carnegie, of course.

    As matter of fact, many of the famous people he interviewed were also favourite role models of mine e.g. Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, just to name a few

    Till this day, I have never forgotten what he said:

    "The most powerful instrument we have in our hands is the power of our mind."

    I have never ceased to be fascinated by the simplicity & the potency of his ABCs of personal achievement: CONCEIVE, BELIEVE & ACHIEVE!

    It is certainly enlightening to note that even Stephen Covey had drew inspiration from Napoleon Hill's work even though he never made that credit. He only admitted that the 7 Habits had its origins from "200 years of success literature in the United States." That remark itself is self explanatory.

    Anthony Robbin's Mastery program as embodied in his books as well as his audio/video resources is no exception, even though he has been influenced in larger extent by NLP.

    If you look at & compare the 17 principles of personal achievement in 'The Law of Success' &/or the 13 Steps to Riches in 'Think & Grow Rich', one can obviously see the uncanny resemblance of the 7 Habits & the Mastery principles...in one way or another.

    At this juncture, let me outline the principal theme of each book:

    The Law of Success: the original course on the fundamentals of success - all the seventeen essential principles of personal achievement;
    Think & Grow Rich: The seventeen essential principles are reframed & condensed in terms of thirteen concrete steps to wealth creation (in actuality, this is a condensation of the Law of Success);
    The Keys to Success: a further elaboration of the seventeen essential principles with concrete suggestions, exercises & advice;
    Success Through Positive Mental Attitude: joint authorship with Clement Stone, with a further emphasis on developing a positive mental attitude;
    Succeed & Grow Rich Through Persuasion: joint authorship with Clement Stone, with a further emphasis on developing master salesmanship & networking;
    [It is pertinent to note that Clement Stone actually built his insurance business empire with these principles.]

    My most productive, personal learning experience from Napoleon Hill's work is the understanding - & application - of his success principle #1: Develop Definiteness of Purpose.

    [Very surprisingly, J Y Pillay, former Chairman of Singapore Airlines, - who had been credited for building the airline to what it is today, A GREAT WAY TO FLY! - also credited his work axiom to this same success principle, but he attributed it to an ancient Hindu scripture known as Bhagavad Gita.]

    I am certainly gratified to note that Napoleon Hill's work had casted so much influence on - & empowered - so many people in the world, including myself.

  4. "Each night I burn the records of the day; At sunrise every soul is born again" WOW! That was not written by Mr Hill, but he was smart enough to add it to his book. There is so much good stuff in this book I do not know where to start. Other reviewers here have written more on the contents of the book, read theirs to get an idea.

    All I can say is that if you read and understand this book, then follow what you have learned, there is no way you cannot succeed in life. This book is filled with wisdom. If you are struggling in your life or on the job and need help, the help you need is in this book. Good luck on your journey!

  5. Napoleon hill is the recognized expert on all things success. In this excellent book he discusses the 17 principles of personal achievement, including:

    Using the Mastermind Principle
    Focusing Your Attention
    Learning From Defeat
    Going the Extra mile
    Improving Your Mental Attitude

    This book is well worth reading. For more information on creating personal wealth, try "The 17 Principles of Creating Wealth," by Phillip Collinsworth.

  1. My heart is filled with gratitude for this wonderful resource! When I realized that I have complete control over my thoughts and actions - everything in my life became better. I recommend the book and the tapes as mandatory for every person who walks the face of this earth. Your life will never be the same! A+++++

  2. The book is great. But it is frustrating to keep hearing the "editor's comment" and then "end of editor's comment" and then the comments from the editor. I appreciate the editor putting in his or her two cents, but it is frustrating when you get into the deep thought about what Napoleon Hill is saying, then suddenly, the message "editor's comment" disrupts your thought. To me, it is an ego trip of this editor by putting in too, too much of his comment. The whole CD 2 of the 9 CD is packed with Editor's comment. It is frustrated keep getting interrupted over and over by the "Editor's Comments" and I decided to vent online to let someone else know not to buy this version. If you want to buy, go for the original, the unabridged version of Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich.

  3. The story may seem old but the philosophy is timeless. This program is updated with new millenium success stories and I still listen to it in my car every other week. repitition is the mother of skill

    -Timothy Kendrick author-PTSD: Pathways Through the Secret Door

  4. The editors of this book (and specially the Audio version of the book) make it almost unbearable. Their constant interruption of Hill to add absolutely irrelevant additional information and often times unnecessary explanations, make the audio tapes enraging. They break the flow of ideas that Hill expresses so wonderfully. They are so concerned with the time-relevance of examples that they force modern-day examples into the chapters. And they are so long-winded and uninteresting that I found myself screaming at the cd player to please SHUT-UP! Understand: The beauty of a classic is that it is timeless. Now if for copiright reasons they needed to add so much junk to a classic, the audio version should be set up so that the listener could jump-skip their material. The editors ruined the book experience.

5 comments about The Law of Success In Sixteen Lessons by Napoleon Hill (Complete, Unabridged).
  1. As an entrepeneur I'm always looking for information on business and mind sets for success. I've have been looking for the law of success off and on for years. I finally resorted to Amazon for the book and there it was . I was so exstatic, I could hardly wait to get it and read it. This is the definitve book that the big business of the time didn't want published after they read it. The ultimate recipe of how the leaders of the big businesses thought and worked. All the inticacies of what they did, how and why. Any serious entrepeneur should have this book in his reference library. Respectful regards,stephbanko@yahoo.com

  2. I really like these books, they are the keys to unlock the problems I have
    in my life.

  3. Every household should have this book. Napoleon's teachings are timeless and appropriate for any endeavor.

  4. This book is awesome. I use it to guide me through personal and business achievements. I have experienced several success results from following the author's theories. I purchased a second book as a graduation gift to my son. He says it answers many of his questions on how to be successful.

  5. I received this book as expected and am pleased with the service. The book is excellent.

5 comments about Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised.
  1. I have read several different publishings of Think and Grow Rich, and I am happy to say it was nice to discover this particular copy. You may not know, but in 1960 Napoleon Hill did a rewrite of his manuscript and the results left much of the original text deleted. Here, in this production, we have his ORIGINAL text from the 1937 edition. There are two other things I really appreciate about this version. First, the book is fully annotated and indexed. This is a helpful feature for those of us who study this book after the first read. Then, finally, the information, in terms of monetary figures, has been revised to read in todays dollar values which enhances the process of understanding when relating 1937 information to todays standards. Overall, I feel that this is an excellent version of Napoleon Hills classic manuscript, Think and Grow Rich.

  2. great for idiots who think they are smart,

    a lot of scientific studies in this book have been proven false..

    you cant get rich with this stuff, go to college instead,

    also get books written by CEO's with years of experience

    instead of by some loser that was exploited by Dale Carnegie

    ... yeah it all makes sense now doesn't it

  3. A classic. Principles of getting rich are mentioned. Even though I didn't get rich, it did help me achieve
    another goal.

    Topics like Desire, Faith, Autosuggestion and Specialized Knowledge
    are all essential to get rich. I do feel something is missing
    from this book. Great violinists and pianists can also be
    rich but I don't think they have to begin with the first chapter:
    Desire (for money). They simply have a temperament, gift,
    and passion for music. Because the perform well in their
    professions, the money comes in naturally.

    This book might have made some people rich but I don't
    think it's the only way. To be fair, no reading of any single
    book can make you rich. You need to have understanding,
    practice, and application of what you've read - together
    with other books.

    I am not rich yet so I give this classic 3 stars.

    Besides, "The mystery of sex transmutation" is no longer a
    mystery. The male reproductive system and the brain both
    compete for the same protein tyrosine (with B6, copper,
    iron etc). More tyrosine for one will deprive the other part
    of the body - naturally.

  4. If you want an action tool to use to follow all the principles of this great book, read and apply Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Workbook, you will not be disappointed. You will enjoy the combination of these 2 books.

  5. There is no such thing as a perfect book. People tend to see things in black and white, well there's nothing completely black or white; there's only shades of gray. You can get some good advice out of most books, even if a little. But there is no perfect book that presents you a complete and truthful view of the road to success.

    Many books appear to be unreasonable in some of its content; but lucky us we are born with a powerful tool that helps us discern between what we should take and leave from a book: common sense. I should use it, and you probably should too.

    This book is no exception. Personally, I would suggest that you read the first part of the book with a higher focus than the rest. It is very inspirational, and explain a success principle that, even though very common nowadays in other books, is still of major importance. For someone who hasn't read much of success books, these chapters are a good start.

    The metaphysics and new age theories that Napoleon Hill proposes should be taken with a measure of healthy skepticism. To believe in them is a personal choice, and you should use your common sense to decide.

    To people that has read many success books before, this book proposes nothing new. Though I should state this around, as this book came first than most of the others. It basically tells how you need to have a burning desire to achieve success, and have faith that you will succeed. Mostly, it presents this with an inspirational tone; so if you're looking to get your spirit up, try it.

  1. I never had a dream before reading this book. After reading this book, I have a dream and I know how to achive it. Life is about success. This book tells about many great people and thier secrets of success!!......you will love to read it.....and will remember my sugesstion to read it!!:-)

  2. Probably my favorite self-help book of all time. Such valuable information
    ...no doubt 'if you think you can, you can.' The power of our minds is incredible and this book clearly explains it. But it is Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Workbook that is the practical and 'doing' version of its important principles. It has been life-changing for me as it keeps my focused on what I want and on track. Don't read one without the other.

  3. "Think and Grow Rich", as is "The Law of Success" by Napoleon Hill, are the grandfather of all self-help books. No other self-help book contains the depth and wealth of information "Think and Grow Rich" and "The Law of Success" contain. If you buy "Think and Grow Rich" you should also buy How to Win Friends and Influence People. These two books together will give you all the life tools you need to truly be successful.

  4. This book is simply put AWESOME!! This really is in my opinion the best book out there on self-help and changing your life for the better! I highly, highly recommend this book to anyone willing to live a more richer and abundant life. In all simpleness, once you read this book, your life will never be the same! :)

  5. I agree with all the other reviewers that this is the grandfather of all books on personal transformation on how to develop a positive attitude and create your own life. Follow this book up with the workbook Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Workbook and you too will transform your life to the one you want.
