The Buddy Baker routine is a well-rounded daily study for trombonists that include most of the physical requirements of playing the trombone, namely: long tones, slow slurs, scales and arpeggios, tonguing, multiple tougueing, and flexibility. I used this book while studying with Mr. Baker and I recommend it to my students now. It's a great book for a well-rounded approach to playing the trombone.

This tipbook may be the supplement for such problems. After reading this book, even novice can buy instrument by himself. I recommend this book not to only player but to the musician who is run for both knowledge and technique. This book has many good illustrations and is very readable.

1. Johnson was one of the first African-Americans to break through the barriers into recognized eminence in a number of fields. He became known as a political figure, pamphleteer, lecturer, diplomat, civil rights advocate, and university teacher. Check out his autobiography, "Along This Way," and his novel, "The Autobiography of an Ex-Colored Man." This volume is 7 sermons in verse, including the classic: "The Creation." As Johnson writes in the preface to the book: "The old-time Negro preacher is rapidly passing. I have here tried to fix something of him."
