1. My son was surprised at his sax, loved the style, he needed to get it broken in but so far has enjoyed it and was surprised at all that came with it.



2. I just received this alto saxophone today and played for awhile. It has a beautiful tone! I have been playing soprano saxophone for years, so I have some experience with saxes. This alto sax seems to have good workmanship combined with a beautiful appearance. I did a lot of research before buying -- I didn't want to spend too much but didn't want to waste money on junk. I think this horn was a really good choice.



3. "My Son Loves the Sax, which means he should play it more. His sister (7 year sax player) said it was a good sax and fixed one slightly sticky key. It works great and is well contructed. Will do him good during the school years."



4. We bought a used sax a few years ago when our son switched from clarinet, and it cost a hundred bucks more than this one! Brad is very happy with this product. 1. This item is not the quality I expected from the Suzuki company. It is made in China. Spoke to my childs band teacher because the Sax would not hold a note, she said that it will never work properly and it is difficult to repair. Save your money and buy a good product. When I got it it looked as if a few of the keys had already been repaired, or attempted to be repaired. They used wood chips or something to try to piece it back together. Speak to your childs band teacher before buying it he/she may not be as excited as you are. My son has been playing the saxophone for 3 years now he thought the case and the sax looked very good he even said "mom it all looks good but it plays like crap." Be careful because if you buy it from Amazon and then discover all the flaws that I did and choose to send it back because it doesn't work or is already broken Amazon will not provide a full refund. You are better off renting to own from a professional music store where professionals are able to help you pick an sax that is right for you, not only that you are able to see instrument as well as play it before purchase. My sons old rented used Veto Saxophone played 100 times better than the Suzuki mainly because this Suzuki didn't play at all. I am very disappointed with the Saxophone that we received as well as with the refund that Amazon has agreed to provide. I have been a customer with Amazon for many years and can say that this purchase alone will prevent me from ordering from them ever again.



2. The reason I decided to purchase this saxophone is because the school wanted the parents to rent them for $50 a month(with an option to buy). Having been in band myself I know the quality of the typical rental instrument is medicore (plus they have been used) I figured out that I would actually spend more for the rental than this one. Plus I feel the Suzuki is a higher quality. It arrived in perfect condition, the case is beautiful with a good sized space for reeds, etc. We've had it six months and no problems. I bought it for my son, but I was able to try it myself as I have played both clarinet and saxophone. The tone is excellent.

1. As a music chairperson in a public school district, I have seen the market get flooded with cheap poor quality instruments over the last decade. This, however is an exception, and was recommended to me by my repair technician.
   
   I am going to recommend this instrument to all of my students. It should also be considered by a semi-pro to pro player as a backup instrument.

1. Great saxophone! I bought my LJ Hutchen sax about a year ago from a music store for a much higher price (I really kicked myself when I saw it here for so cheap!) I am buying another one for my nephew to play on for his school band this coming fall, and this time through Amazon! This sax has a clear sound and it really plays great. I know my nephew will love it!

1. This soprano sax plays like a charm. It was delivered safely and on time. Soprano is harder to play than any other sax, expect picalo. If I spelled it right. I suggest always use the Plastic Cover soprano reeds. Makes it play alot easier. I am very satisfied with this sax and recommend it to anyone. I did alot of looking around for a soprano sax and I am sure I picked the right one. Thanks.

1. The Conn-Selmer Prelude Alto saxophone is an excellent instrument at a bargain price. Craftsmanship on this particular saxophone is superlative, quite above other similarly priced instruments by less reputable manufacturers. The keys are firm, in a good way. The tone is warm and even throughout the entire range, clear, just a bit this side of bright. Once you hold the instrument and play it for the first time, its obvious that the Conn-Selmer Prelude Alto is a well engineered saxophone in the tradition that is associated with those two great companies. Everything about this instrument exalts attention to detail and quality at an affordable price. Highly recommended.

1. I received the 2007 "Sky" Alto Sax yesterday. I like the case and every item is wrapped individually inside the case. Good quality sax!



2. I purchased this sax for my son four months ago. This is a beautifully crafted sax with a really nice finish, the pads are tight and the keys are very smooth with pearl inlays. So far, my son who is a beginner has been able to produce some really nice sounds. This is a quality sax comparable to higher priced saxophones. Highly recommended, buy with confidence.



3. The sax took mad long to come but came nicely rapped; only came with one reed.The sax looks very exqusite the gold shines like day. It's really nice i like it. Also by a sax kit with it. And a padded neck strap



4. I have a student with one of these models. His mother had bought him this instead of getting a rental, which would have been $500 or more a year.
   
   His instrument has nice projection and is very free blowing. Intonation is not perfect, but it is reasonable. It's really quite good for an off brand, many of which are out and out junk. He'll need a better one come high school but, for now, this one will do.
