- I ordered this guitar for a 7 year old and did not read carefully how big it was. It's really meant for a very young child but the guitar itself was really cute. In the end I had to return it since it was a little too small for the recipient but their customer service was extremely helpful and I would order from them again.
- I ordered this for my daughter's 4th birthday. For 19.99 I was not expecting anything too spectacular. However, this reminds me of something you'd get in Mexico in one of those tourist souvenir shops for $5-10. My daughter will probably like it because it is a guitar and because it is pink, but I am disappointed. It will probably not last long.

- My non-musically inclined 9 year old loves this thing. It is light and looks great. It will not hold a tune. The tuning keys are a friction fit nylon post inside a stamped metal bushing, and there is not enough resistance to hold the tension from the strings. So, it permanently sounds terrible. This was not the intent, as the item description made it sound as though it would play like a real instrument.
- the guitar was a lot smaller than expected and it will not hold a tune... you can not tighten the strings... bought for my neices birthday and i will say it was very disappointing...

- My 9 year old son picked this guitar based on price (he was saving his allowance for one!) and it has been a great choice. The guitar arrived in less than 48 hours. It has a nice sound, is well constructed, and was a great buy.

- I recently got my guitar a few weeks ago. The guitar is a great deal and it has a surprisingly nice sound to it. The Pickups are ok. The Amp is ok. The guitar it self is well built for not having a solid neck and I have no buzzing a big +++ and it looks great. The only problem I have had is with the strings, they broke the first day. I suggest if you are thinking about buying this bad-boy you order new strings with it. I got some Zakk Wylde 10's and it sounds real nice!!!!!
- I haven't bought this product yet but I wanted to know if it's an average guitar? It's very cheap and for that reason I need to know if the guitar is big as an "normal" Epiphone.
thanks a lot!
- I have to say, I bought this same guitar(just the guitar) at guitar center a while ago for $150. I play professional gigs for guitar and bass and i'm defiantly not a beggineer, but I needed a guitar because i had been playing my brother's Strat(NOT A SQUIRE,NEVER GET A SQUIRE)for most of the gigs, so with money i had left over from the gigs i thought this guitar sounded good, feels good, and for the price-is good. Its not anything near a real epiphone LP, and defiantly not a real GIBSON les paul. Also buy new strings for it too, because in warehouses and after heat gets to it, the strings are very fragile- I recomened Ernie Ball Strings, they're only $3.95.
- This is a beautifully crafted and nice sounding guitar. The cord that comes with it was too "buzzy", so I replaced it - other than that, this is a guitar that is easy to play and great to learn on. The bridge is the best in the industry, the finish is mirror (especially on the black model), and the sound is truly awesome. The amplifier that comes with it is not a Fender amp, but is suitable for practice and small halls. Epiphone gets an A++ from me.

- I'm sorry to put my review of the reseller here but Amazon doesn't let you review them directly if they cancel your order. This reseller would have a very poor rating if this was allowed(I've seen these reviews on many other items they sell). They apparently have very little stock contrary to their claims and have to backorder most things. Then, in my case, they canceled my order when their stock arrived(over a month into backorder) and raised the price of the item on Amazon(same day).

- Look, quality and price, are hard to understand, If this would cost more than $100 usd, It wont reach even half start, but for the price is easily 3 starts.
The guitar sound is decent, anything else is bad quality, even the guitar itself it bad quality, but you cant ask more for the price, this is a really, really good price, I actually have a fender electric guitar, and you cant notice quality difference with closed eyes, but your wallet will notice the price difference too.
If you want something worth the money, this is perfect, the only complain I have, is that if cheap is in mind, they could remove useless things in the pack and replace them with a better finish quality in the guitar.
The pack was really dirty by the way.

- I just started playing Guitar and after seaching around the internet i found this steal of a guitar. I paid 179.99 from amazon and it shipped free and seeing as im in Iraq thats awsome. Ayway the guitar is very easy to play action isnt to high and its easy to get a clean sound from, tunning is also no problem usualy the top two strings need to be a little tighter after sitting over night but thats about it. The tuner is very helpful and the dvd while not very exciting does have a great cord dictionary thats very helpful to me. Over all for the money i think this is a awsome package the only peice of the package that isnt awsome is the gig bag and at this price who cares the gig bag they give you is just that a bag no padding or anything of that sort.
- Great deal for how much it costs. The customer support at Austin Bazaar is also very good and quick.

- My 17-year-old son thinks this guitar is awesome. He travels a good deal, to visit his girlfriend who lives in another state, and he also camps out with his Boy Scout troop in all kinds of weather. The guitar has held up nicely, even with rough treatment. The backpack/case is substantial, but the whole thing is still lightweight. He mentioned the tinny sound that some other reviewers mentioned, but also said that it's not as bad in front of the guitar as it is for the player. He is a member of a Christian Rock band, and he uses it for practice when they don't take time to set up all the electrics and gear. Based on how much he's used it, just since Christmas, I think it is well worth the price, a great value.
- I really love this thing! I love to sit and strum in the evenings at home, but I expecially love to sit and strum when I get a break from work. Packing my full-size guitar into the minivan, with luggage, two kids, and a wife, is just tough. This little thing alleviates that problem. I can take this thing to the beach, to the mountains, or wahtever. I can sit on the balcony, or by the pool, and not have to worry so much about handling my big standard acoustic. It sounds really good thogh. You obviously lose a little bass because of the smaller body, but it still sounds great.
- The neck on this guitar is extremely playable. I love its feel and good action more than my Guild or Martin dreadnaught-sized acoustic guitars.
The sound is tinny and small, but that is to be expected from anything with such a tiny body. It fits the bill for something totally portable.
As other reviewers have said, it doesn't sit on your leg easily. That's because the neck is heavier than the body - not because it is a heavy neck (it isn't) but because the body is so light and has a smooth, almost tear-drop shape. But you just put the strap (included) on it and it stays up just fine.
One reviewer on another site (zzsounds) said it smelled like "an acre of used cat litter in a chemical dump." I would not describe the smell that way, but it is clearly a disgreeable odor. Luckily, it is not a very strong odor. You have to be playing the guitar to smell it. It won't fill the room with the awful odor. After 5 days it has dissipated a little bit (or maybe I'm getting used to it) - maybe it's down 30% lower than when it arrived. Still objectionable, it is probably the smell of the lacquer they used. Not a sweet 'solvent' laquer smell - it's more of a roachy and burnt or rotting carcas-like smell. I hope it dissipates more over the next month - I'd hate to have to return this beauty. Hey Washburn - is there any other lacquer you can use? Will this nasty smell dissipate eventually? Is there anything I can do to accelerate the dissipation or outgassing and get this guitar to smell less?
If you don't care about smells like this, and you want a travel guitar, this is the way to go. If you are sensitive to odors, you'd better try it out first to see if the odor is acceptable to you or not.
- I am amazed by the beauty and the sound of this little beast. The neck itself is a true " piece d'art".
- Like other reviewers, I found that the tone of this little Rover leaves a little to be desired but at the end of the day that's not the primary reason I was looking for one. That said, it doesn't sound that bad.
What you should expect:
- Thin tone but what's to be expected from the small body
- Stays in tune despite moving it around from place to place, which is testimony to its stability
- Balance has been mentioned by other reviewers. If you rest this guitar on your left leg (if you're a right hander) in the classical guitar style, the balance is better
- The action stinks out of the box. If you work on your own gear, this isn't a problem to resolve. Otherwise take it directly to your local guitar person and have the bridge worked on or else you'll be fighting with fretting the strings.
This is a very enjoyable travel companion once you get the setup the way you like it and accept that it's never going to sound like a dreadnought.
