1. i was giving the guitar as a gift. it is a beautiful guitar, but the "free" e-book would not open. when i contacted the company, they took forever to respond. they said i would need to pay them more than $40 to print the "free" e-book for me. so in the end i went to a local store and bought a guitar lesson book.



2. I am trying to learn how to play the guitar and chose this item. I have had it for a few weeks now and am pleased so far... it is my ability to learn that scares me.



3. Good for someone that just wants to mess around with a guitar but may not be the best choice for someone that is serious about learning how to play. I purchased it for my husband for Christmas to learn on but he is already looking to replace it with a "real guitar" after his 2nd lesson because it will not hold tuning. He is getting frustrated with having to tune it every time he picks it up.



4. I ordered the Crescent 38" Black Guitar with accessories from Austin Bazaar. The product arrived within the shipping time indicated on the website...But I had a lot of trouble tuning the D, A and E strings. I used all of the spare strings provided with the product to no avail. I guess at this price the guitar looked like a bargain and I was unlucky to grab one of indifferent quality.
   
   I returned it back and am still waiting for the refund. The shopping experience with Austin Bazaar has been satisfactory though...
   
   So my suggestion to those who want to buy this product...Do it if you are a bit od a risk taker...But if you can afford a little more buy one with a proper electronic tuner (the pitch pipe is crappy for beginners...)

5. I was looking for a guitar for my grandson for Christmas, I bought a blue one for him and a pink one for my granddaughter. The guitars seemed great to begin learning, they were of good quality and they loved the bag and accessories.

1. This is a neat gadget in that it can produce sounds of various instruments. But if you want to learn guitar just buy a real one. The lighted frets are neat, but simply don't have the same "effect."



2. I just got this guitar, after buying it on line, it is wonderful after not thinking I would ever play again after so many years. I would still recommend guitar lessons, and a regular guitar for someone starting out, but this has been a real treat to play and is bringing some techniques back to me that I had forgotten for many years. I'll be using this guitar, and my old one as well, thanks for helping me rediscover my musical roots. It is just a joy to pick something up and play anything that you want and it even makes us old finger-pickers sound great.



3. I got this "Guitar" a few months ago, and I must say it is a fun thing to have around the house. I am a keyboard player by nature and have always wanted to learn guitar so this seemed like a decent starting point. It has many sounds, but the only listenable one for me is the first preset, the acoustic guitar, which is very nice, sounds quite real. Playing along with the preprogrammed songs is also a fun way to learn. You can change the tempo to slow it down if it is too fast for you to keep up with. Strumming is decent, but when changing chords it can sound choppy since you are releasing little buttons and not real strings, but again it's not a real guitar...so I can live with that. The best part is the frets light up as the chords of the song go by so you can see where to put your fingers without looking in a chord book or on a bar chart. I wish you could manually "punch in" the type of chord you wanted to learn ie; C# Major Seven and have it light up to show you where the notes are. All in all, it is a fun guitar to play and great for beginners to learn with. If you are a more advanced musician, I would suggest getting a real guitar as the sounds and the changing chords thing might get annoying.



4. As long as you know what you want and that is a regular guitar buy one... This is a whole lot of fun and can do things no other guitars offer... It is fun exploring all the things it can do... It has a built in synthesiser sometimes it is hard to hear a guitar in it's built in songs... I plan to get the MIDI-USB converter soon so the jury is still out on downloading more songs... The EZ-AG is the Accoustic version where as the EZ-EG is the electric version... My big rub is during playback some of the strings are in-active so if you want to add to a built in song you can't... Another problem is some of the lights that indicate the cords played are impossible to get your fingers to play them... If you want a serious guitar buy one... If you want an electronic sythesiser that you can have a lot of fun and make music that is unique to this instrument buy it... You can really create music that you like... If you are making a living playing music stick to conventional instruments... If you want a portable instrument that makes you happy here it is... I don't think this will teach anyone how to play the guitar... The long and short of it is it makes me smile...



5. E-Z is the best thing to say about learning to play the guitar! You can down load other songs to learn to play! The sound effects are GREAT too!

1. My 9 year old son picked this guitar based on price (he was saving his allowance for one!) and it has been a great choice. The guitar arrived in less than 48 hours. It has a nice sound, is well constructed, and was a great buy.

1. I just started playing Guitar and after seaching around the internet i found this steal of a guitar. I paid 179.99 from amazon and it shipped free and seeing as im in Iraq thats awsome. Ayway the guitar is very easy to play action isnt to high and its easy to get a clean sound from, tunning is also no problem usualy the top two strings need to be a little tighter after sitting over night but thats about it. The tuner is very helpful and the dvd while not very exciting does have a great cord dictionary thats very helpful to me. Over all for the money i think this is a awsome package the only peice of the package that isnt awsome is the gig bag and at this price who cares the gig bag they give you is just that a bag no padding or anything of that sort.



2. Great deal for how much it costs. The customer support at Austin Bazaar is also very good and quick.

1. This is a truly nice acoustic electric guitar. I had not touched a guitar since I was 10 years old and bought the guitar to restart my musical interests all these years later. The wood finish is beautiful and the blemish(s) are not apparent. The included amplifier is nice. The product is a bargin at the listed price!
   
   The DVD tapes and chord chart are just what I was looking for with a guitar package. I was never happy with my music teachers, but Esteban has just the right stuff for guitar instruction. The instruction tapes are clear and easy to follow.

1. THis is an awesome guitar. Seriously, I agree with the other reviews even though i have not yet bought it. Great for beginers like me who have no guitar or experience.



2. My title says it all, you can't beat the price for everything you get! (I paid $169.00, btw) I like the guitar and amp, and while it may not be near the best guitar and amp you can get, it does the job. Perfect for beginners and those who are on a tight budget. I'm very happy with the package. I have been watching the DVD and have been playing away! Again, for everything you get, you just can't beat it! I couldn't find a better deal anywhere!



3. The package arrived 10 days earlier than the estimated day. It came right on time at my daughter's 13 yrs old birthday. Thanks for Silvertone's prompt service. This package has everything you need from learning guitar, including the DVD demo. The guitar is made beautifully in dark brown color, amplifier with cables, DVD....every piece matches the description on the list. We have no complaint with the tutoring DVD but still sent my kid to a guitar lesson, where she started to play her first song. The similar package we found in Target around our neighborhood tagged as $149 plus tax. With couple bucks more, the whole pkg delivered to our front door (thinking of the gasoline price these days...) Overall, this is a good buy!



4. This is a great guitar for beginners or professionals alike. The amp is great, and the guitar is a quality product. One of my strings broke the day I got the guitar, but we simply replaced it and moved on.

5. This was a great deal, a brand I was not familiar with but that really doesn't seem to be a problem. I am new to guitar so I didn't want to start out with something super expensive. It is great for a beginner like myself. The package is a great deal, you get everything you need to start playing as soon as you get the box from amazon.
