  1. This is a small strobe, no doubt about it. It works well in dark settings, but isnt overly powerful. For the price, you can't go wrong, but if its for a bigger show, I'd go with the 50 or 60 dollar full size versions that pack more punch. No complaints though...worked fine for me when we needed it!

  2. hey DJ Savage here, i bought this thing about 3 years ago. back before i owned my own company. anyways, i have had it for a really long time. no problems. and i use Effects controllers, so this thing gets shut off, and turned on all the time and still hasnt gone out. extremely reliable strobe light. highly recommended for everyone in need of a strobe.

  3. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. It doesn't light up a very large room, but it did the trick for the Halloween party I bought it for. I plan to use it next year as well.

  4. Works great for being so little. Doesn't take up much room and puts out a good strobe.

  5. This strobe works as advertised. It's pretty bright. We were actually using it for a science fair project and found that it did not flash at 12/sec as advertised, it was more like 10/sec, but that is probably nitpicking for something that is designed to light up a disco ball :-)

  1. 1"Signature Music 7121 Two Section Folding Music Stand with Carrying Bag"
Very nice stand and very handy. Great service/fast shipping. Exactly what I was searching for! Thanks so much

  2. We bought this for our 9 year old son for guitar lessons. I wanted something sturdy and convenient to put away when we are done. I love it. My son already can adjust it to fit his height and it is very sturdy. Great buy, especially for the price.

  3. I found it to be flimsy, fiddly, and awkwardly designed, with a poorly made case that's a little too small. Unless you really need adjustable tilt, the Hamilton folding stand that's been around for 50+ years is far superior, has the same (limited) capacity, and is about the same size and weight.

If compact portability is not a requirement, you really can't beat the non-folding Manhasset MH48 which also has been around forever. Much sturdier, can hold a lot more weight, with a tilting mechanism that is simpler, easier to use, and far stronger.

  4. I am a beginning violinist and have never owned a music stand. This one looked appealing and cheap and based on the reviews I thought it would be decent.

The first thing I noticed when I set it up is that is that for whatever reason it stood at a slant instead of up straight. I examined it, trying to find the reason why this was, but couldn't see precisely where the problem was; there was some subtle structural problem that prevented it frpm standing up straight. I tried placing it on multiple areas of my floor to see if it was simply uneven floorboards, but that was not the case.

The stand itself was a bit too short; at maximum height I have to look down at where my music is instead of it being eye-level it. I am not an incredibly tall person; I am slightly under 6'0". A few more inches or even a foot would have made this more useful.

The final thing that turned me off is how I broke the botton tightening peg off simply by, well, tightening it. Perhaps this is my fault, but I don't recall using an unreasonable amount of force. I believe that it simply is that the plastic is so cheap that it didn't take much force to break it off. Had I not broken it so soon it probably would have broken within a few months of use.

The stand itself is made out of a metal, but it's not incredibly strong. Just by screwing in pegs you will scrape off the thin, flaky coating of paint. Underneath is paint at certain parts of the stand I found rust.

Overall I am very disappointed and now find the stand practically unusable. In the future I will go to a real store to buy a music stand so I can thoroughly examine its quality before purchasing, or perhaps base a future purchase off of another musician's recommendation.

  5. I was looking for a good easy to use beginner music stand for a 10-year old. The stand was very easy to assemble and take apart, even my 6-year old could do it. It's hard to beat the price too.

5 comments about Memorex DVD-R 16x 4.7GB 100 Pack Spindle Printable.
  1. After ordering the Memorex DVD-R 16x 4.7GB 100 Pack Spindle Printable from ANTOnline - and finding out (after 30 days, of course) that at least 80% of these disks are DEFECTIVE - I might advise anyone else who is thinking of buying these to be sure it is from a reputable business. I have to write off the $43.00 that this cost me - but I am hoping that it saves someone else the aggravation!

  2. I purchased these and found that within the same package there were disks of good quality and of poor quality. Over 30% of them (60%of those I used) either could not be written to or couldn't be printed on. The disk printing surface was obviously different from disk to disk. Some had a glossy surface which caused the printer ink to just lay in puddles on it and some worked a little better, having an almost matte surface, but not quite-the ink would print really lightly on them. Still others were a full matte surface and would print ok. I started using the ones with the matte surface and found many of them were defective-I couldn't burn to them-since I use them to store my own content or to burn movies that I create, it isn't an issue of restricted content. The disks themselves were defective. I now have more coasters than I will ever need.

  3. I have used the Memorex printables for several Amazon orders and usually have little or no problem with the discs. The last shipment was from the "other sellers" catagory because Amazon was unfortunately out of stock. Consequently the "other seller" was B&H photo/video. Their price was high but they had them. The discs came with a smashed and broken plastic spindle container that obviously was not packed well enough to survive the handling by the trucking company. I had to take all the discs and transfer them to my previously purchased spindle container. The discs seem ok. Just a hassle. B&H should ship more carefully. My previous purchase came from another "other seller": ANTonline, and it arrived in perfect condition. Watch out for poor shipping when ordering from B&H.

  4. This is now the only printable DVD-R that I will use for burning video DVDs of my own material. Other brands have given me problems with freezing in mid-play, etc. but not Memorex. Highly recommended for anyone burning video DVDs for play in regular DVD players and wanting to feel confident that their discs will work without incident.

  5. Technically, the DVDs are excellent and available at a great price, but the printable center hub is so opaque that it almost seems pointless to call it "print to center." There's other DVDs, Maxell, for instance, where the center hub coating is as dense (or seems to be) at the center as on the rest of the DVD. This makes printing a light-colored design on the DVD much more effective. If this isn't important to you, this DVD is a great buy, but my DVD design is subtle and I've had to buy other DVDs to have a more effective design.

  1. This was the last thing I needed to set up a network here at the house! I'm so grateful I found it for such a low price. It works great & was shipped to the house super fast. A great big thank you to everyone that helped in this purchase! :)

  2. Trusted manufacture, trusted seller, amazingly low price, this is where to shop if your looking for a good ethernet cable for a awsome price.

  3. This is an excellent product. Fast shipping and product as exactly described. Very good product and seller was great. I would definitely do business with again.

  4. This is just what we needed for networking computers in our apartment. The wireless device wouldn't work because the walls are too thick. The longer cable goes from the main computer, behind the stove in the kitchen and into the bedroom. Now my nephew can use his computer for his music and stop clogging up mine!

  5. I needed a cable to connect the xbox360 (in the living room) to the broadband router (in the den) ... estimated 75' and didn't want to mess with making my own cable so I picked this one up, installed it, and have had no problems for several weeks now. Can't go wrong at this price!

  1. Considering the money you pay, this is really a good buy. The quality of the music stand is pretty good. It is especially good for students who need to take a music stand to go somewhere to practice. Folding is easy. You just adjust the screws. The carrying bag is very convenient.

  2. For the price, this one seems hard to beat. It's on the thin side but easily sets up in a snap and comes with a handy travel bag.

  3. Judging by the specs and price, I was skeptical about this stand. However, it has proven very sturdy and stylish, considering the price. Would recommend.

  4. I am impressed that this stand arrived only 3 days after I purchased it, with standard shipping. I am also impressed with how sturdy this stand is for the price I paid. I've put it all the way up so the bottom of my book is 41" off the floor. It still holds it very steady!

  5. Stand was a little less sturdy than I had hoped, but 13-year-old daughter has now had it 10 months and had absolutely no trouble at all. She does not take it apart frequently, but can disassemble and reassemble it quickly herself, with no problems. Great value for small $$$.

5 comments about Kyser Quick-Change Capo 6-String, Black.
  1. Ok, I will admit I am not a musician, but a I do play the guitar everyday just to get better at it. I got sick of the same sound I got every time I played it. This particular Capo brand was recommended to me by my musician friend. What a great addition to to my hobby. Now I hit different notes using pretty much the same chords I used without the capo.

I would strongly recommend it to any one who is starting to play the guitar since it can be very disappointing when you get stuck hitting the same sound.

By the way, this is a great brand. The capo is very well made and very classy looking and very easy to use. Remember, my musician friend recommended this for me and he is being playing for years and in a band.

  2. I had one..worked well but the spring snapped.
I will prob buy this one.
Tip..do not leave capos on frets ..when the instrument is not being used...memory effect...indent in the rubber.

  3. My husband bought one of these capos for me, and I liked it so much that I bought one to give to a friend. The design makes it quick to put on and take off. My guitar stays in tune and I don't have any buzzing strings. The springs are pretty strong and the capo clamps on tightly, but there has been no damage to my guitar at all. I bought this for about $15. According to the warranty, Kyser will replace the capo for $3 if there are problems during the first year and for $10 after the first year. If it breaks after the first year, I'll probably just buy another. The color selection is nice, but I stuck with basic black. I'm sure there are better capos out there, but this one suits my needs just fine.

  4. Does the trick, easy to put on, keeps me in tune, looks great, my standard capo. I own 3.

  5. I normally only use a capo to facilitate a "dropped E" tuning" by capoing the top 5 strings at the second fret. Yes, I know that there are products specifically for that, but this actually works better. I also recently began playing guitar for a girl who transposes everything a step and a half up, and this works perfectly without causing intonation issues

  1. The keyboard stand was so easy to assemble and is quite sturdy for the keyboard. It is of real good quality. Thank you so much.

  2. Double X Portable Keyboard Stand
This keyboard stand is an excellent choice for someone looking for a stand to support a heavy keyboard. I have a relatively heavy full-size Yamaha keyboard and it is much sturdier than I expected. I was looking at some of the cheaper single-X style stands but decided to go with this and I am extremely happy with my decision. There doesn't seem to be any bounce when banging on the keyboard. The height can be quickly and easily adjusted with the front pull handle which is very handy. It was very easy to put together but it did take me a little while because the directions are just basically a picture. Just look at the picture carefully. Overall I think it is worth an extra $10 to get this stand over the cheaper options.

  3. Expected it to fit the Yamaha YPT-400 keyboard (and it is billed as such) but it doesn't even come close. The piano simply sits on top of the stand waiting to be knocked over and crash to the floor. What a disappointment and what a waste of time ordering it. How frustrating to have to pack it all back up and return it. This item should not be paired with this piano. Buyer beware!

  4. I purchased this stand along with an electronic keyboard for my grandson's (who lives in another state) birthday. Many months later I learned that he was unable to use the stand because of a missing assembly part. These things happen but I'm disappointed.

    jh

  5. Very sturdy stand and fair price. There was a problem with the address and it went to the wrong side of town. There is an Eric Court and an Eric Lane in my town. I gave specific careful directions and the name of my subdivision as a part of the address to avoid any confusion.
The WRONG street was used on the label AND the directions AND the name of the subdivision, which was included as an address line, were left off of the label. Generally Amazon service is outstanding. But more care needs to be taken to get addresses correct.
    Thank you

  1. I bought a monitor cable at office max for $40 before finding this Startech cable on amazon. I quickly returned the store bought cable and purchased this one. What's the difference you ask? absolutely nothing but the name. Works great! Why would anyone spend more than $40 on a simple cable like this I have no adea.

  2. This cable works better than i expected. There is no "ghosting" the video is absolutely clear. Highly pleased.

  3. This cable is good made. Have a very nice structure an lenght too. It came to my house on time.

    Thanks

  4. Let me start off by saying I am happy overall with this purchase. A local electronic store wanted around $30 for a VGA cable, so this price is much better than that.
I bought this cable to connect my computer to the VGA socket on my new flat panel monitor.
However, my monitor VGA interface is reccessed, so that the cable needs to be bent perpendicularly in order to be plugged in.
Because the cable is so stiff, I had a hard time bending the cable so that it would plug in to the monitor.
Also, the screws wont screw in properly because of the bulkynes of the plug.
I've been using this cable now for over six months, and apart from the occasional unintentional unplugging, everything has been smooth.

  5. Worked as expected, full 1080p resolution for my computer for the 46" TV as Monitor

5 comments about M-Audio SP-2 US65010 Sustain Pedal Piano Style Sustain Pedal for Keyboards.
  1. I bought this pedal about a month ago and I love it. It is heavy and feels sturdy like you would want a pedal to feel. It has a switch on the bottom that makes it compatible with more keyboards. I haven't noticed any squeaking or problems yet, and I don't expect to. It seems to be a pretty good quality pedal and I love it. I think Amazon does a good job of describing this pedal. I use it with my Yamaha Motif.

  2. I bought this for my son's Casio Previa. It has always performed well and it is very sturdy. I even vacummed the cord by accident and shredded it, but after splicing it back together and wrapping it in electrical tape it worked again--no problems.

  3. This pedal comes out of the box with pretty much only the pedal and the cable that leads to the assignable jack. I hooked it up to my CASIO WK-1200 and it works like a charm. I even use my keyboard as a midi controller in REASON 4.0 and the sustain is beautiful. Gives my piano pieces MUCH more life. This pedal is also extremely sturdy. It's bigger in person than on the pictures and it stays very, very firm on the ground. It comes with this hard plastic cover over the pedal tongue, but I don't see why It should be removed.

  4. I'm delighted by this pedal. It makes my Casiotone seem that much less cheesy, and I enjoy playing it much more now. I miss the baby grand I grew up with, and having faux piano action on a smooth-looking sustain pedal makes a difference for some reason. I recommend this over any other model.

  5. as mentioned by another reviewer, this is a on/off switch type of sustain pedal, either sustain or no sustain. So it's more like a guitar pedal than a piano one. But again, expensive electric pianos come with their own pedals. This one I bought to be used on a cheap Casio keyboard from Costco. So I didn't expect it to work like a real piano pedal to begin with. Considering the price, this pedal is rock solid and works way beyond my expectation. Great piece of work. Thanks M-Audio!

  1. Perfectly good Cat 5e network cable and way cheaper here at Amazon. I got the 100 foot, and it's working totally fine. You are allowed to use up to 300 feet for Ethernet before you must plug into a hub, switch, or repeater. White cable, but does have words printed along the entire length. If you are mounting to a wall or over a doorway, try these Coax Cable nails, they are a good fit.
    Coax Cable Nail-in Clips

  2. Bought this product based on the price - 100' of ethernet cable for under twelve bucks. On receiving the product, it's obvious you do get what you pay for to a certain extent - the sleeving on the cable seems a little flimsy, and the connectors have a tendency to be tricky to unplug once they're plugged in. However, if you're installing a permanent (or semi permanent line), where you wont be moving the cable around much, or disconnecting often, it's hard to argue with the price.
