1. I bought my Kona guitar two weeks ago, after researching the company on the web.
   
   It's just the right size for me, and stays in tune pretty well - very little adjustment on the keys.
   
   I like the digital tuner that's included in the kit. It's much easier than using a pitch pipe.
   
   I would suggest getting a hard case, though. The gig bag isn't padded.



2. I recieved the item damaged. It had been dropped, and the head of the guitar had popped out of the box. Obviously, the guitar was very out-of-tune. Other than that the guitar is beautiful.
   
   The gig bag is thin, and really only useful for keeping the dust of the instrument instead of protecting it. The book is the best part of this package. It is simple and easy to understand for the absolute beginner. I'm not entirely convinced the guitar is the best quality. But for the price you can't really go too wrong. The sound is a bit tinny, but overall not too bad. I'd buy this if you're looking for an affordable starting guitar and don't want to break the bank.



3. I bought this guitar setup for my son. He has enjoyed it and is eager to learn more and can with the book included. I had a friend look at it and tune it for him. He said it was a nice guitar with a good tone to it. A little FYI on this friend of mine is he used to play/sing back up with Meryle Haggard. We are very happy with this purchase.

Well, you get what you asked for a complete "for dummies" guitar set, if there isnt something you know how to do its in the book, the digital tuner makes tuning easy and the guitar itself sounds fine, i would have given this set a 5 star review but my fretboard came out of the box slightly damaged and the original strings it came with must have been 5 years old, bad sounding.
   
   Just go out and buy new strings, replace them, tune it up and play, have fun.



5. I've been a fan of the Dummies book series but was a little hessitant about this product. After careful review, and the price was nice, I made the purchase. Having never played the guitar before, with the help of the included book and cd, I am now in the process of teaching myself and it is going great thus far. I feel that the quality of the guitar is superb, I've even compared it to Fender. You get more for your money with this pack, and it's perfect for anyone including the professional player.

5 comments about Samson SP01 Shockmount.

1. Not much to say about a Spider Mount other than it really does do what it claims to do, providing isolation from vibration between the desk stand the microphone.



2. The Samson shockmount is a decent product for keeping vibrations away from your condenser or dynamic microphone. It's a must for professional or high-end amateur recording if you're using the Samson C01, C03 or QU1 mics. It's a bit heavy and awkward to attach to some mic stands, though. This is relatively new, so we'll see how well the rubber bands hold up.



3. Ordering items online takes patience at first, then you get used to the wait. The wait here wasn't very long, and I even compared prices to find Amazon's listed price for the shockmount lower than almost everyone else's.
   
   Would have been 5 stars, but the shockmount is just a tad loose and shifts position easier than it should, which kind of defeats the purpose. This probably isn't Amazon's fault, however.



4. I been using these for years and they are strong made of quality materials, great looking, having this razzmatazz character mounts! The clams are stronf and realible and keep mike in a right position. The screw mount allows easily fix them up on the correct angle and use mike up or down!
   All this said I assume you realize this is Samson's quality unit for Samson's mikes like C01 to C08 (at a moment of writing) or their equally terrific ribbon mic.



5. The product arrived in good order and in a timely fashion. I wonder if the rubber bands will hold up. But other than that It is doing the job it was made for and I can really tell the difference with this added piece of equipment.

1. The good folks at Amazon have two listings for the GA-30 tuner. There are 8 reviews at the other listing (as of Dec. 20, 2006); to find it search on "GA30 Guitar/Bass Tuner" (and the other listing's 76 cents cheaper...).



2. I've never owned one of these before because I usually borrow it from everyone in my band or used my other crappy tuner, so I decided to finally get one of these...
   
   Right out of the box, I put the batteries in and it turns on and turns off. It's probably a defective one but that pisses me off, for a simple device like this it should've worked in the first place. Sometimes I have to push the on button really hard or shake it around for it to turn on and STAY on.
   
   You can buy one, just beware theres a small chance you'll end up with one that doesn't work properly like I did.

4. it works good and it even has a sound mode where it is audible. Has a bass and guitar setting....you can also drop the tuning a half note to tune down or up easily, and for the money I paid $12.00 I think...anyway get it

5 comments about Belkin PureAV AV20500-15 15-Foot Subwoofer Audio Cable.

1. I have noticed much better and clearer bass audio output from my Onkyo subwoofer using this Belkin subwoofer cable. Belkin makes good quality products that last and this one is no exception. There is no need to buy a Monster subwoofer cable unless you are hooking it up to a $2000+ home theater system!



2. I was lulled in by the low price like everyone else. The first one of these cables Amazon sent me was faulty and wouldn't transmit a signal at all. The replacement they sent transmits a signal, but not efficiently. I had to tweak the LFE settings on my amp to get any sound out of my sub. After the tweaks the sound is good, but isn't any better than a cheap cable.
   
   Out of curiosity I swapped in an old junky rca cable and it actually worked better. I've tested with other cables too, so I know that the problem isn't with my amp.
   
   It's possible that I just have bad luck and that Amazon sent me two faulty cables. Whether it's bad luck or just a bad cable brand, my advice is to not buy this cable unless you like taking chances.



3. Cable didn't work right out of the box...I spent good money on the rest of my gear and cables, so I guess I shouldn't cheap out on the subwoofer cable:( Going with a higher quality one next time!



4. Nice solid, sturdy cable that helps my subwoofer bump. 1/5 the cost (or less) the comparable Monster Cable.



5. This cable comes in a retail box and looks and feels much more expensive that what I paid for it.
   Not to mention my bass is now virtually distortion less now that I switched to this. Used in conjuntion with it's cousin Belkin AV20000-06 PureAV digital optical audio cable you have a match made in heaven for pennys on the dollar. I couldn't be more pleased. If you read reviews on the optical cable doesn't say plugged in, there is something wrong with the thing they are trying to plug into, not the cable itself. Works great for me!!

5 comments about KINYO UV-520SIL 1-WAY Vhs Cassette Rewinder.

1. I bought 2 rewinders. One works perfectly; the other stalls for 10 seconds after rewinding before it pops open. Not a problem if it does not get worse.



2. This rewinder is the worst I've ever tried. The first one I got was dead upon arrival. I sent for a replacement and it worked for about a week then quit completely. Stay away!



3. I had my rewinder for about 7 months and the auto-stop feature stopped working eventually causing the motor to burn out. Rewinders should pop up the tape when they finish rewinding so as not to place excess wear on the motor. Kind of disappointed it didn't last longer.



4. Consider this a disposable. If it is worth the money to you to buy one, knowing it will probably fail after a few months, then go ahead.



5. I've only used my Kinyo VHS tape (movie) rewinder for a few movies, but it has been working fine. Many of us still have movies on VHS tapes. (The Nancy Drew TV series, with lovely Pamela Sue Martin, is still available, plus her other movies.) So it's nice to have an efficient and rapid little machine like the Kinyo, to spare my tape player from the laborious back-spinning process. I can now watch my VHS movies, and rewind 'em in a few minutes!

1. I love this capo. I like how it really does clamp down on the neck of the guitar without being so hard to unfasten. It hold the strings down very well, and it isn't so cumbersome and heavy when I stand up and play.



2. I like the feel of this capo and the ease to squeeze and move to different positions quickly. It works just as well on my electric or my acoustic. The design looks good and the spring seems to be very strong.



3. This capo is VERY high quality. Works perfectly for electric, acoustic, whatever. I HIGHLY recommend this.

1. This was an good deal at $15 for 4 delivered. I replaced 3 sub cables that were going to amps with only the left (mono)input cable in them. It increased the signal strength and gave a much more solid connection. As a matter a fact, these were not easy to push on all the way. It took so much force, I had to be careful not to break anything. I knocked down a star for this reason. Other than that, these work great! Quality-wise, these are a solid medium grade. That's a HUGE step up from your standard red/white rca connections. I tried daisy chaining cheap ones together from sub to sub and the last few wouldn't work at all. That's how I found out sub cables really do matter. I'm very happy with this purchase.



2. This cable is only helpful if you have a really old receiver or subwoofer because it is the wrong type to use in modern home theater systems. I would not buy this product again and still have it in the original packaging. The manual that came with my receiver advised against using this type of cable so instead I used the cable that came with my subwoofer. However if you do need the cable it is simply a radio shack cable that was sent from a catalog electronics retailer, don't worry they will also send you a catalog.



3. This is actually a Radio Shack brand cable according to the plastic box it came in. Quick delivery.



4. Product received (very quickly!) exactly as described. Great seller, would do business with again!



5. This really helped me. I didnt really want to get a Y splitter adapter; then I woulda had to figure out which ends I wanted to be male and female. This made it a lot simpler.
   Those that have a subwoofer with left and right jacks, u can hear the difference when using just left or right vs. something like this. So get this or a Y splitter adapter.

5 comments about Sony 100Dmr47Ls4 4.7 Gb Write Once Dvd-R Spindle (100-Ct Spindle).

1. I've rarely had a problem with burning anything to these media and have gone through almost 500 in the last several years. I do have to agree with a few posts that mention the case being flimsy or cracked.
   
   I almost sent one order back that had two cracked cases. Several discs were dirty and lightly scratched from each spindle. The media works great for me, but the casing could be a lot better.



2. I will say I am a computer Tech who burns a lot of DVDs and I make sure to verify all discs I burn. With Sony I do not care if you think I am a brand hugger I normally find them at some of the best prices and with a ratio of 5:100 (bad Discs:Good Discs), the best of any brand I have ever used before and still (as sometimes I will buy other types to check them out, or if Sonys are not available).



3. The disks are OK, but the packaging from Amazon was lousy. They put them in a box with a couple of air filled pouches that HAD NO AIR IN THEM. The DVD's were rolling around in the box, and it's a miracle that they survived unbroken. I would have returned them to Amazon but I needed them. I was later chagrinned to find that my local Office Depot was selling the same item at a lower price.
   I won't buy these from Amazon again.



4. We purchased these at a very good price and find they are the top of the line for DVDs. Thank you, Amazon!

1. Well this one is great! The key feature is that the plastic is soft and doesn't insist on curling where you don't want it. I have too many cables running all over already and don't need ones that won't stay where I want them.



2. What to say, I wanted 14 feet of Cat5 cable and I got it. No issues after many uses including coil and uncoil.



3. I have a Brother MFC-9840CDW printer and the cable works fine! The blue is a great color because it is easy to detect from the black cords.



4. Product arrived on-time. I use the cables in my travels, especially in hotels, at client sites and in the homes of family members when I need to set up an office away from the office.



5. This cable met all my expectations. It is well built and long enough to do the job.
