5 comments about Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x CD-R Media (100-Pack Spindle).
  1. Good value for the price. I prefer Memorex to other available products and the 100 CD's is a good deal.

  2. First off, great value, great price, and great that it comes with the 100 CD's I really need for all my computing and media needs, especially since it takes me 10 of these to backup my computer fully. And like I said, 9 out of 10 work great, especially when I'm burning a music CD. However, when play back that 10th CD, I've come to find that at least one of the tracks has a defect in them. It's not the music, or the burning method, or the user, it's the CD. But for the price, it's still a great buy. And I highly recommend it, just watch out for that 10th CD.

  3. I've tried Memorex, TDK, Maxell, Sony, Imation and Verbatim discs, primarily for musical-radio use, and they've proven close to equally effective in my experience. Moreover, the more expensive versions designated as "For Music" have no better audio quality than the same manufacturers' "non-designated" discs. So if you favor the least expensive of otherwise equal alternatives, Memorex is almost always the best bet. Since the current price of a 50-disc pack is almost triple the cost of the same Memorex spindle I purchased from Amazon last December, I'm seeking to reduce the damage by going with the 100-pack this time.

[Later: A day after ordering these, I discovered that Walgreen's was selling TDK 50-pack spindles for seven bucks. Lesson: especially with the declining demand for CDs, it pays to stay alert and, when the moment is propitious, to stock up.]

  4. you have no idea how many cd's i go through in a weeks time... i needed this more than you know... thanks

  5. I copied simple cds and used the entire 100 disks, and had a failure rate of 30%. You get what you pay for.

5 comments about Tripp Lite Mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable (6 feet).
  1. i got the product i needed, in the condition i expected, at the time i needed it.

  2. Purchased Sony AVCHD camera. It did not include this cable which I purchased at a reasonable price on Amazon. It plays picture from camera to HDTV. Outstanding picture!

  3. The first time I use it, there was video and audio.

2 days later I plugged in my camera with this cable but no video and audio.

I decided to buy Sony VMC15MHD 5ft Mini HDMI to HDMI Coverter Cable.

The video and audio came back and I also notice my TV says HD1080 mode.

Video and Audio was definitely better.

I will update this review if my Sony cable decides to go bad.

  4. I can't understand how much these cables are being sold for.
I bought a Camcorder 6FT Mini-HDMI (Type C) to HDMI (Type A) Specification 1.3a 30AWG Cable here on Amazon.com from Dervan Electronics and it works perfectly.

  5. Great product. Great service. Value price. Wish all purchase decisions went this well!

5 comments about Musician's Friend Standard Celluloid Guitar Picks 1 Dozen, Black Pearl Medium.
  1. I bought a guitar at $199 from this seller. When I got it, the guitar is worn and paint is off. The strings hit the fret heavily. It's highly defective and of vey low quality. And the seller reduced the price by $30 the day after I bought it. I feel so cheated.
I also ordered a strap from the seller. I called to cancel the order before it was shipped. They accepted my cancellation but shipped the product to me and billed me anyway.
Don't buy anything from this seller. Or you will definitely regret.

  2. I ordered multiple items. They arrived in a timely manner and were in good condition. Very reasonable.

  3. I bought a dozen of these off amazon last week (jan 20) and when they arrived, they are different than the ones pictured.

Although the picks are black, they are patterned randomly with silver/grey wavy lines (as if reflective paper were crinkled up, and then sealed/pressed into the outline of a pick).
Additionally, the picks have "Musician's Friend" labeled in silver on one side.
From a distance in the right light, they do look very dark/black.

They perform well though, and they were definitely cheap...
Just be sure you know what you're buying.

  4. The picks work fine, they're just your average guitar picks. The design is cool, looks holographic. Shipping is quite high, however, if you plan to buy these picks without another product from the same merchant.

  5. Thought I paid a little more attention. Bought this item at the same time as some other items. Wasn't paying complete attention (my fault) but ended up paying an additional $4 for shipping... for the $2 picks.
Price should be listed as $6, not $2. Ordered on a Saturday, too late to cancel by Sunday, it said had been shipped even though the confirmation shipping email said shipped on Monday.
    Kind of a ripoff...

5 comments about Korg CA-30 Ultra Compact Chromatic Tuner.
  1. I love this tuner! It's cheap and efficient. I bought it to tune my Guzheng, a Chinese zither. Now when I play the instrument, it doesn't sound like I'm playing a score off the soundtrack of a horror movie. Haha.

This chromatic tuner is a necessity if you're self-teaching yourself how to play. I also use it with my violin, and my Bro uses it for his guitar. When I don't have the music sheets for a particular song, I have to find the notes myself. I sing in the tuner to find the correct notes. It hasn't failed me yet!!

  2. I love this tuner! I liked it so much I purchased a second one for my son. they are handy. very nice tuner. Easy to use.

  3. I've had two of these tuners. They are well known among bass instrument players for being able to lock in on the lowest pitches better than most other tuners. They're durable and have a long battery life. Unlike most other tuners, in noisy environments they don't lock in on higher pitches before lower ones, again a plus for low instrument players.

The one problem that I've had with these tuners is that one of them had to be set to A-439 to tune pitches that other tuners recognized as A=440. Strange.

  4. I recomemnded this tuner , is easier to use and vere accuracy.
I dont know nothing about music but with this tuner was very easy tunning mi guitar and my violin.

    Guillermo Rivas

  5. sweet tuner I love this thing . it will tune anything and $$ is the best .

5 comments about TDK 4.7GB 16x DVD-R (100-Pack Spindle).
  1. This is a very bad product. About 50% of the dvds that I tried to burn had errors. And I tried 2 burners .... LiteON on my desktop and whatever burner is there in a macbook

  2. I have completed 32 pieces of TDK, and all of them succeeded. I am satisfied with the price and quality of this product.

  3. These have been working great in my stand-alone dvd recorder. While I've always favored Maxell, Amazon does not offer them, and these seem to be as good or better. Amazon's packaging leaves something to be desired, but damage was limited to one scratched up disc. Price is 21c each !!!

  4. I have been burning DVDs for several years now, totaling over 2500 discs. I have used several different machines; at present I use a Magnavox that I paid $50 for at Wal-Mart. As for the discs, I usually buy whatever is the lowest price. The last 200 I bought were TDKs from Amazon. I paid only $21/100.
It may be hard to believe after reading many of the other reviews here, but my experience has been almost problem free. I doubt if I have lost more than 10 discs in all that time, and most of the failures were my fault. Why others have so many problems and complaints, I do not know and will not even speculate.

Maybe it's just good luck, but whatever the reason, I wish everyone else had the same experience I have had!

  5. Maybe it's the discs, maybe it's my DVD recorder, but about one out of ten of the TDK DVD-R discs ended up with a message "disc error" or "unknown disc" It's not so much the loss of a disc as the two hours it takes to record a movie, just to end up having to record it all over again.

  1. At an amazing price, these DVD's are a great investment. Instead of purchasing 50 DVD's for $24, I researched a little more and was able to get double for only $3 more. What a great deal!

  2. Fine Product. Works well with my the ultrabay multi-burner in my laptop docking station. Cheap too.

  3. I've used Memorex DVDs before without a problem, but these ar defective. So far about 2 out 5 cause errors and there is the same cone shaped line that appears on all of the half written DVD. Factory defective? or vendor swindled?

  4. Love Memorex DVDs. Been using them for years and never had a bad one.

  5. These dvd's are very reliable. I have had very few failures compared to other brands. Ordering from amazon.com is very easy and shipping is reliable, but the best deal is the price, can't be beat.

5 comments about Belkin F3N401-06-ICE IEEE 1394 4-Pin/6-Pin 400 Mbps FireWire Cable (6 Feet).
  1. Sturdy connectors that lock in firmly and no data errors. And for less than a quarter the price of a firewire cable at most retail stores.

  2. Just a regular firewire cable. Six feet seems to be too short for my needs though. :)

  3. Belkin is known for quality products, so I thought it would be wise to buy their cable for transferring my camcorder footage to my computer. Not disappointed. Cable performed perfectly. Cheaper ones are available, but I prefer to go with a brand I can trust. Less headaches.

  4. This is a great cable for 1/3 the price of the comparable cable at a brick and mortar store. This is a very well built cable with braided sheilding and a stiff protective sheath. I used it with equipment that advised against using 4 to 6 pin cables (which wasn't an option for me since my laptop only had a four pin firewire jack) and had absolutely no issues.

  5. The Belkin 4-Pin/6-Pin 400 Mbps FireWire Cable is a useful device in what you need to transfer your camcorder that uses mini tapes or DV. This a great price so don't settle for the $30.00 ones at the stores. They both have the same use to transfer video so why buy the higher price?

5 comments about Korg MA-30 Ultra Compact Digital Metronome.
  1. I got this metronome to help keep the tempo of a song my quartet was singing. It helped us tremendously. I like the fact it has a pitch pipe on it also!

  2. I bought this based on at least two other reviews that described the sound it makes as a "click". It is not a click it is a high pitched electronic "beep". That beep gets lost with notes played by guitar, etc. It also could be louder so I took two stars off for these two drawbacks. Otherwise it keeps time like it is supposed to. Look elsewhere if you wanted a click sound metronome.

  3. I love this metronome. It has a broad range of tempos and time signatures. The volume knob and mini output give you unlimited output options, including feeding your keyboard "Audio In", ear phone, amp, monitor system, recording system, or other configuration. The "tap tempo" features allows you to determine the tempo of recordings with ease.

Complaints are minor. The rubber buttons require considerable pressure, which compresses both button and finger. There is no precise "moment of contact" when pressing these buttons. Without a tactile click, the Tap Tempo function feels "mushy". The Tap Tempo function is still "good enough", but stops me short of giving this product five stars. Also, I wish that the chassis had a little more durable feel. Neither of these is a deal-killer.

Quibbles aside, I enthusiastically recommend this product. I use it for practice at home, as well as in choir rehearsals. It fits nicely in the pencil pouch of my music notebook. If mine were ever lost or broken, I would replace it immediately. At this price, it might make sense to have one for home and one for gigs/rehearsals.

  4. I bought this metronome for my daughter who is a drum major for her high school band. She loves it because the display is very clear and large enough for her to see when she puts it on the floor of her podium.

  5. Easy to use. Loud enough (adjustable volume). Covers all the rhythms I need.
I can tap in the beat of a song and it will tell me what the tempo is. Has some tones for tuning your instrument which I don't use since I already have an electronic tuner. I like this way better than my old windup. Has two tones and various patterns so the first beat of a measure is a different tone - I find that helpful.

  1. If you are looking for a replacement for your sync cable that came with the zune, get this, not the $20 factory one. This worked exatly the same as the origional one and it was only $20 less. The only difference is the factory one has the Zune sybol on it, but why would you pay $20 more for that?

Anyway, this is a great product for a great price. I got mine from Vortex Cable and it came very quickly. I would definitely buy from them again.

  2. i brought the .97 one from baragain cell on amazon and the sync cable works just as good as them other ones for my 80g zune. I have no problems with it. So save your money and buy this one because it is much cheaper and just as good.

  3. This is an excellent replacement for the more expensive zune cable. One of the clamps broke on the connector I had. I used a paper clip to get it loose. This Zune is too expensive to replace so I decided to buy the connector and stop using the old one I had. Great Product

  4. This is just as a charger right from microsoft if not better. Just by this instead and save ur 100$ dollar

  5. There were absolutely no problems with this product. It worked great, and strangely enough... my computer picked it up faster than the cable from Zune. :-D.. Don't waste your money by buying this same product from the Zune company.

5 comments about Tripp Lite U022-010 USB2.0 Certified Gold A/B Device Cable - 10ft.
  1. I bought this USB 2 connector with the gold connectors because I have heard its better then the regular ones--I have been very happy with it and it really is better.

  2. Using it to connect my printer and laptop. Does an excellent job. Good length. Sturdy cord and ends.

  3. I purchased the Tripp Lite gold end usb cable for my computer to printer connection. Very cheap price for this cable, but the quality is not, awesome product.I was a little skeptical about buying this, because for a 10 foot cable at a big name store would run about $26.00. Don't think twice, buy it,you will not be disappointed. I'm glad I did.

  4. This hooked one device to another, just as it is supposed to. It cost 20 dollars less than the same thing from a brick and mortar store. What else do you need to know?

  5. Be careful if ordering the advertised Tripp Lite U022-010 USB2.0 Certified Gold A/B Device Cable - 10ft from ClearAV.
That is certainly NOT what they sent to me. They are aware of the mistake in the listing but never contacted me before shipping my order to let me know that wasn't what I was getting.
