1. It's a USB extension cable. I needed an extension USB cable to reach my printer. This cable was cheap, shipped fast, and functions exactly as it should as a USB extension cable.



2. Inexpensive and good quality as it anything I have purhased from "Cables To Go". I have several of these cables which provides me extension and placement of peripheral equipment for both desktop and laptop. It is a male to female connection and can be used with any standard USB connection. Remember if it doesn't meet your needs you can return it and amazon with provide you with the shipping label online to send it back as they do with any of the items you order and most have 14-30 days for such return. However, I think you will like this product and it is usable for many items with USB connections.



3. Bought it to ease the connection between my flip ultra and my macbook but it only work once out of 10 attempts. Flip-Mac connection works fine without the cable, so the cable must be the problem.
   Two-star because I'm keeping it and use it to extend my usb hub for the other peripheral which works fine. Also the return cost is probably more expensive than the product it self.



4. I bought this to extend the distance of my Bamboo writing pad from my computer so I can doodle while sitting on the couch since I have my computer hooked up to my TV in the living room. It works exactly as it should.



5. This is necessary to connect to the computer in most cases. This cable is a good solution for this need.

1. An excellent product. I have not had a chance to use it yet but I did test it and it works like a charm.



2. This item arrived broken. It simply doesn't work. I needed it before leaving on a trip, and now I'm in a jam. Annoying.

   A decent mic. I use it in a very noisy environment so its hard for me to really judge sound quality. However, it gets the job done (which is allowing me to keep the recorder in my pocket and attach the mic to my shirt.



4. I own a dozen Olypnus digital recorders and have found this was a very worthwhile addition even though it is a lttle pricey.



5. The price is reasonable.
   I did not get a good recording where I initially wanted to do it, such as in class or in a piano practice room, but it's probably because of my fault, since in class I couldn't place the microphone right in front of the instructor. Also, the practice room is small so that sound reflects too much. In addition, the rocorder I use is Olympus VN-2100, which might not be a perfect recorder.
   Still, I can't find a good digital voice recorder with a microphone that records better than my old SONY Mini-Disk rocorder/player with no external microphone. WHY....?

5 comments about Panasonic MiniDV Tapes (Pack of 5).

1. Have bought this product some time back. Not sure if its the camcorder(panasonic PV-GS320 MiniDV ) that records well or the tape it stores and retrieves well.
   
   But am happy with this product.



2. I have used Panasonic mini-DV tapes exclusively for the past 10 years. I can't remember when I had a problem with one. They always work. I use the 63 minute and 83 minute ones, as they are, in my opinion a bit better and the extra few minutes are always nice during a dance recital or Wedding. The important thing is, whichever brand of tape you use, stick with the same one, as switching around could cause clogged heads, etc., because of different tape formulations.



3. Video quality is great. I'm very satisfied with the tapes. There's not much else you can say about a MDV tape. I would buy again for $11.



4. I bought the product for my camera and it worked out pretty well. I am not overly snooty about it and am not concerned with max quality or anything, it records well and does the job.



5. I've gone through a few dozen of the Panasonic branded miniDV tapes and I have yet to have a single issue.

1. I researched several different solutions for securing my laptop at work after a few of them were stolen. Kensington products are widely regarded as the industry standard for laptop security cables, and my particular laptop (HP NC2400) was compatible. This cable also fits into my docking station, which makes it double-handy. But like many other reviewers have noted, this is not a panacea for thwarting laptop theft. I not only loop my cable through the security hole in my desk, but I also loop it through a set of mugs that I bought at my local dollar store, so if anyone tries to cut the cable, they'll make a loud ruckus. Just a suggestion to increase the efficacy of this lock for a few bucks more.



2. I bought this item for a French student in my laboratory, who had a European model laptop (I had never heard of the brand/manufacturer). The lock works well and I would recommend this product to anyone. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. First, perhaps it is not obvious to everyone, but this lock only works if you can wrap it around a fixed object (not a table or chair). Second, when you "unlock" the laptop from the Kensington lock, you must take the lock with you; otherwise the lock itself could be stolen.



3. This lock is easy to install, simple to lock and unlock, and serves as a great visual theft deterrent. That's really all you can ask of such a device. No, it will not stop a determined thief with a couple of minutes and a bolt cutter or who is willing to break off the flimsy piece of plastic on the laptop that the lock is designed to fit into. But it will prevent someone from walking off with your laptop when you leave your desk for a few minutes. If you need something more substantial than that then expect to pay much more money; otherwise, this lock works just fine.



4. It's perfect. It does the job and thanks to the keys I don't have to remember any combination to unlock it.



5. Lock works as advertised - easy to use, long sturdy cable. Key is bright orange - makes it hard to lose.

1. I purchased these to do limited production of my new CD and they really work well. I have not had a single failure yet. The price was fantastic and Verbatim is a great name. I will definitely look for these the next time I am ready to buy.



2. We use this product on a daily basis and have no complaints at all. The product is priced well below the store-front price and having it delivered to my door makes it even better.



3. Excellent product. However the packaging for this product is the worst of all the items I have ever ordered. My CD stack came in broken and I had no time to return it....



4. This is a great product. I use it all of the time and it has never let me down.



5. I've been using Verbatim for many years. On both DVD and CD, I've bought more than 20 spindles, but I rarely have problem with burning. I will keep using it!!

3. So this cable works great. I haven't had any problems with it at all and it saved me tons of money (they charge twice as much at the campus bookstore). I'm very happy with this purchase.



4. I purchased this cable becuase I need the 25' length to connect a laptop in the same office as my desktop. It works well and is a good value. I got it on Amazon for $10 less than at BB.



5. Use this to connect from my wall to my router. The long cord is very convenient and I have not found any degradation in speed. Would recommend.

1. Always in need for a USB extension for some reason. This cable works as described.



2. Just a simple extension cable for your USB device. It does exactly that with no fuss. Sturdy, as most Belkin products are, and reliable.



3. Their isn't much you can say about a cord, but this one is well made, and it does what it is supposed to do. I have a keyboard, a Yamaha MM6 that I wanted to attach to my computer, so I can record through Cubase LE. I started tripping over the standard size cord, so I added this Belkin extension, and now it is safely tucked away. Sure beats having to replace the USB port in the computer from abuse. Belkin makes nice stuff, and this is one of those things that they make well. Highly recommended.



4. Not much to say about a USB extension cable. I plugged my USB hub into it and even though the cable that connected the hub made the total run more than the maximum allowed 10 ft the connection still worked.



5. Fantastic product. We used it to extend the distance from our headset to our various gaming consoles and computers. Absolutely no lag detected in transmission. Highly recommended!

5 comments about Roxio Toast 9 Titanium.

1. My children's school projects are now demanding more software from my Mac. I'll be getting them their own soon but until then my home Mac is the center of their school work. My son likes to make videos for boy scouts and school assignments. Clearly my my old Apple programs couldn't meet the demands. Armed with an HD camcorder the video he takes demands much more computer space. He also has to burn pc compatible disks. This brought me to Toast 9. It can burn HD video and make hybrid disks. It compresses the video files so it takes as little room as possible. Sometimes we still need more than one disk but the spanning disks feature takes care of that. The program lets us know how many disks are needed before we start the burning process. Toast will convert video to the video ipod. This allows my children to work on their video projects while commuting. After learning a lot by helping with school projects I'm better at organizing home videos. The dvd menu creator is so easy there is no reason not to take the steps to make better looking disks, even if it is just for family archives.



2. I have a number of problems with Toast 9. You get NO help from the support at the website. Would not tell anyone to buy this product or any from the company!!!



3. Kids today, they think Apple makes the coolest stuff so their pc is a Mac although I still use a Dell. Creator for the pc is good so I thought that getting a roxio program for the Mac would be a good investment. I was right. It works different enough from the pc verison that sometimes I sneak time on the Mac and play around. The interface is easy, although I think that is a given for roxio programs. I have gotten frustrated with other Mac programs so I don't think an easy to figur out interface is a given. I like that it pauses in the middle of burning if you need to stop. Another thing it has over the pc version is tv streaming. I would like to see this feature in future pc versions. For now we use toast to the iPhone. Now that I know what it can do I'll be buying Apples new phones as our old ones become obsolete.



4. I bought this mostly for some of the peripheral features--the TiVo Transfer and the ability to record streaming audio from the internet. I find that the DVD burning capability of OSX works for most of my needs, though it's nice to occasionally span disks.
   
   After two days of trying, I managed to finally get the update to load and give me Toast 9.02 (I'm using OSX10.5.) And so I was (finally) ready to go.
   
   TiVo Transfer will load programming to your HD and I successfully burned a half hour show to DVD, but when trying to anything longer, I get an OS error. So basically it doesn't work.
   
   The streaming audio feature also doesn't work--it doesn't recognize that there's any sound. This isn't rocket science, both WireTap Studio and Audio Hijack do a great job of this.
   
   Forget support--there basically is none. Also, be aware that if you buy software from a marketplace seller, you can't return it. Not sure of the policy if you buy directly from Amazon.
   
   Beware any software company that doesn't offer a free trial on its website. There's a reason for it.
   
   So, I'm out fifty bucks, but I suppose I'm a bit wiser for it. And I assume (though I am by no means certain) that it will span disks on a burn. So that's something.



5. Everything is going HD and blue-ray so I appreciate Roxio's inclusion of these formats. Like all roxio suites, I use the Windows version too, it has a massive amount of features. Standouts are the new formats. With HD tv soon to be the norm I can already start using it. Tivo HD files are an easy way to get the programs on my pc. Toast has tivo file editing options so you're not stuck with just the timed recording file. It can alter the files like most video formats. As others have noted Toast burns regular dvd disks with higher formatting like HD. It makes HD video disks and I can buy my usual dvd disks and not the harder to find and more expensive HD and bluray ones. I can also put these video files on my ipod. Since the HD files are too big it will change to a suitable format that can fit on the portable. How easy is it to just drag the file into the work area and start processing. Good choice.

1. I used 10 of them, and they all works well! I'm glad to get 50 CDs in such a good price and they can burn well!



2. I've used Memorex & Sony CD-R's for many years to store & archive my photographs. Memorex has been a thorn in my side. Initially, the CD-R's accept the files without a glitch, as reviewing the burning process to make sure everything went well is common practice of mine.
   However, within a couple months, it never fails, there is at least a handful of Memorex CD-R's that become unreadable, and I end up losing between 50 to 168 images.
   I've read numerous articles on why this happens. Some believe it's my burner, while some think it's my software, and others say it's even the images that are defective. Please!!!
   My burner & software are working perfectly...never having a problem with Sony discs (or even the Meijer brand Imation).
   I will NEVER buy another Memorex product again.
   They're CD-R's are unreliable, and not worth the frustration and aggravation of losing any more of my valuable work, and memories.



3. The Memorex blank cd's are a great price on Amazon. Now that CD's can be made rather easily, its easy to buy very cheap ones from discount stores all over the internet. But Amazon has a great price on CD's from a respected brand. I have bought no-name CD's before and have had problems when burning them, but rarely run into that problem with Memorex.



4. I was very happy with this product and will order it again when I run out.



5. Great quality CD's. Was shipped timely and exactly as I expected. I was kept informed of it's progress. This seller is very reliable from what I've seen.

1. Very happy with it. I was very happy that it was 6 feet! The length was something I didnt even pay atention to the length when I bought it, but I lucked out.



2. This was exactly what I was looking for, the wire was a little longer than expected but it worked with my camera!

4. Sturdy connectors that lock in firmly and no data errors. And for less than a quarter the price of a firewire cable at most retail stores.



5. Just a regular firewire cable. Six feet seems to be too short for my needs though. :)
